Great coffee at a pretty good price. Also had a bike shop/repair area although I do not have any experience with it. Awesome to support a local mission. Staff is taking COVID seriously which is great to see.

First time, and will forever have me as a customer! Went for the coffee, not knowing anything about this place other than it was close and has coffee. Ordered a hot mocha with reg milk and an iced mocha with oat. Both were fantastic, literally the best coffee in the city. (As a personal preference, I think Torani syrups have the best taste) The customer service was amazing, the lady taking the order was super nice and kindly brought our drinks to our table where we were waiting for them. Their message is another reason why I would be happy to support them again! The building is also really neat and it is half coffee shop half bicycle shop.

I've been to ALOT of coffee shops in Omaha and this place has beat them all! The atmosphere, friendly/courteous staff, amazing coffee would be enough to go. However, after learning that this is a non profit that assists children coming out of foster care, learn a skill; I will go there as often as I can. I will drive by other coffee shops to get to The Bike Union. Awesome coffee shop. Awesome mission.

Great place to go for coffee or to get your bike fixed! Didn't realize it until we were waiting for out coffees but all their proceeds go to mentoring kids in the foster care system. We will be back again!

This is just a good place ran by good people, it is a bike and coffee shop that aids with people who are coming out as LBGTQ+ or through the process of transitioning and many not be accepted by their family. They provide jobs and support to these individuals. Just good people trying to create change. 100% loved to support that cause!

This shop had a really cute space, and the service was incredibly friendly. They had a bunch of coffee flavors, so I went for the oat milk lavender latte. When I saw they use Pacific brand oat milk (not Oatly), I swapped it for whole milk since my body doesn’t react well to that brand and don’t like the taste. The coffee was just okay, not my top choice, but it did the job for that caffeine boost I needed.

Astute Coffee is the best! So glad we visited today! The interior decor and atmosphere is stunning and amazing - great to hang out/ meet up with friends or colleagues and also to dine alone to study etc. Extremely friendly and helpful customer service. I had a maple bacon donut and it was delicious! They also serve muffins from Hardy which I didn't order today but know are delicious. The mocha breve I ordered was incredible - smooth flavor and had the perfect balance of espresso to milk (I could've ordered full pumps of flavor and it would not have been overly sweet - but half flavor was still delicious too). Others in my group ordered full-flavored Turtle lattes (both iced and hot), and they absolutely loved their drinks and also want to come back again for more. Very cool merch available to purchase too. On top of all that, Astute Coffee's mission is wonderful and is worth supporting for that reason alone. An overall wonderful/ amazing/ enjoyable experience and definitely plan to visit as often as I'm back in the area! Thank you Astute Coffee!

I decided to try this place as it was next door to my hotel. Upon approaching, I was happy to see signs of support/inclusivity for marginalized groups and noticed their sign inside that they support young adults impacted by the foster system. Their unique architecture gives the space a one of a kind feel and plenty of natural light coming through. I had a lavender latte that was absolutely delicious and the cake donut I had was great as well. Very friendly service. Great start to my day.

400 miles and 3 days later I am still dreaming about this pour over! After staying at a favorite hotel numerous times I finally wandered over to Astute Coffee There are so many things to love about this place The space itself is just fun! Circular and bright with all good vibes The name & it's fitting definition. See attached photo. I think that the word Astute is underused. The Logo! Really, your Branding is spot on! The people! I was with my son who makes some uncomfortable with his over zealous interest, comments & questions. Extra points for inclusiveness in businesses. DEI often leaves out the cognitively challenged. The team at Astute were welcoming and kind. The mission I am all about supporting business with a cause even if it is good but not great. Not a concern here! Astute is a social enterprise worthy of your support! Let me tell you I love a great cup of coffee. The pour over I had was truly beyond! I was lead to my decision by a very knowledgeable employee who understood the flavor notes like a sommelier understands them with wine. I was so sad I left too early to get one the following day but will be back! What did I have? I do not remember the name of the roast but it had IPA in the description!

Love this coffee shop! My oat nut latte was bomb! If there was an Astute out West, this would be my morning stomping ground however, totally worth the drive. ☕️🫶🏻☕️

I finally stopped in after going past many times and am glad I did! This is a real coffee nerd’s paradise - they have an extensive pour over list, gave excellent recommendations, were very friendly and helpful, and made me one of the best and most interesting cups of coffee I’ve had in a long time. Plus, they have a great mission, comfortable seating, and a great space. I’ll definitely be coming here more often!

Beautiful mid-century vibe and decor, really bad machiato. I ordered a hot,16 oz caramel machiato with almond milk. It was not hot, at all---lukewarm, maybe. It had a single shot of expresso which meant that I had mildly coffee-flavored, warm, almond milk with a ton of caramel sauce sitting on the bottom. I wanted to believe in this place, unfortunately they didn't deliver.

Brought in my bike fully expecting to leave it for a tune up especially after a crash last year. The mechanic looked it over and told me I didn't need an overhaul, just some minor fixes and would do it while I waited! The other nice aspect of the visit was that I could have a tasty smoothie from their coffee shop while I waited. Everyone there was friendly and polite. An overall great experience. Plus you're helping a good cause at the same time. Highly recommend them!

  • 5/5 Rachel I. 10 months ago on Google
It's actually kind of interesting because they have so many pour over options and few lattes, very different from most places. Of course, that just means you are getting a fantastic drink. And the pour over comes in a mug if you get it "for here". They do not have that special latte art touch for the cappuccino, it's mostly foam, but the espresso was excellent so it didn't bother me at all. Calm, inviting space and they have a good mission and purpose for being. Super friendly and knowledgeable baristas, too. We would definitely come back.

Cheerful, efficient staff. Great coffee and non-coffee choices. Plenty of seating with plug-in power at counter seating. If I lived in Omaha I'd come here all the time. Only thing is: donuts seemed to be the only food choice on offer, and Saturdays they close at 1pm, weekdays at 4pm (am I the only one who drinks coffee late in the afternoon?)

When you're in downtown Omaha and checking out the coffee stops make sure this is on the list. Great coffee and unique location with vintage architecture and interesting decor. Also, the mission is one you'll want to support: "Provides mentoring and workforce development to young adults impacted by the foster care system". 5 stars easily

Best coffee shop in Omaha! Quality beans you can’t find anywhere else in town. Such a cool building right outside downtown. The owners really know coffee and have such a great vision. Highly recommend!

I'm a regular here now, and I can't find a single bad thing about this place. It's truly a wonderful place with the best people <3<3<3 who will take time to talk to you, recommend new flavors, and remember your coffee preferences. If you love coffee, definitely stop here and grab a pour over coffee with a maple bacon donut. PS whoever is in charge of the music wins MVP

Service was amazing! Large selection of delicious pour overs. Found my new favorite Omaha coffee spot. If you’re a coffee connoisseur, this place is for you. If you’re not a coffee connoisseur, this place is for you. Outstanding.

I purchased two bikes from the Bike Union approximately 3 weeks ago. I had been having a minor problem with the front brake on one of them however, the change in HOO kept me from taking the bike in for a repairs because I was working with they were opened and they were closed when I was available to take the bike in. I finally called on Saturday morning, spoke with Ashley and she said they would be open for another 52 minutes if I wanted to bring it down to be looked at. I took the bike in and in less than 5 minutes Chris had my bike back in proper working order. Very fast, friendly service! Thanks Chris! Glad to be a member of the Bike Union family!

The Bike Union recently fixed my bike after a recent fall. The bike now runs like it is brand new. The staff treated me like I was family and the service was very special and it was complete. They explained everything they needed to do to get my bike running again and gave me choices in the repairs. I highly recommend this place and it's staff. I love it's mission and I love this Bike shop. You will not be disappointed.

This place is an awesome spot to grab some coffee and check out some sweet bike. Everyone that works here is so nice and the coffee’s great! They do really good work and training here for youths aging out of foster care and it’s worth supporting!

They open at 7AM!!!! Woohoo! They had 2 tires repaired/replaced and a worn our seat changed out for a used one at a reasonable price, within an hour of drop off! I couldn't even find anyone else OPEN before they had it repaired! The staff was friendly and efficient! How nice to have a lightly used seat option available to replace the worn out one on a bike for a 10-year-old boy. Reasonable charges for their work. I will drive out of my way to use their services again! THANK YOU!

Very friendly staff and a cool bike/coffee shop look to the place. Not a huge selection of bikes (probably about 20-30 when I went) but they are quality used bikes for a good price, although most are a little old. One of the workers also offered to order any equipment I needed as well that wasn't already in the store.
