    Papillion Sanitation is notorious for changing their pricing and your notification is your upcoming invoice. Their customer service and customer retention policies leave a lot to be desired. We have had a few issues with them missing pick ups and just driving right on by. When you call to report the issue, they say that the driver marked there was nothing to pick up. Okay, well the video evidence definitely shows the bins were placed out the evening before. If you like arguing with companies this place is A+! Somehow they are more difficult to deal with than Cox! That’s really saying something. If you do sign on for their services look forward to lots of fun and plenty of expected issues. Set your expectations low and you will be another mildly happy customer. My the odds be forever in your favor!

    Have had Papillion for over a year now and they have missed picking up at our house so many times I can’t remember. Absolutely horrible service. Called them to have them pick up our bin or a credit since we paid for the service and they gave me several lame excuses as to why they can’t do this. If your in the service industry please just perform the work people pay you too. This is not about staffing or truck problems. It’s not hard to make it right. If you don’t or can’t perform the work people pay for then credit your customer.

    The customer service with this company is nonexistent. I had let them know that the recycling had been missed but the trash had not and they proceeded to then accuse me of not putting them out without apology or ownership of the problem. They said it would be picked up 2 days from original pick up date. I had no problem with that but it states they close at 5pm that day and they still hadn't come grab the recycling so I messaged again letting them know they hadn't come still. What I received after that was completely unprofessional and rude. All cap email the day after they finally sent someone to pick it up after their opperating hours. This is the following email "AN ORDER WAS PLACED TO PICK UP YOUR RECYCLING AND DRIVER SHOWS IT WAS DONE AT 5:19P YESTERDAY" It's the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

    Thank you Papillion Sanitation for once again forgetting to pick up our circles trash today! Seems to happen once a month. Here’s the issue: You are suppose to pick up on Friday. It doesn’t get done, and then we have to wait until Monday because you don’t pick up residential on the weekends. What do people do on the weekend? Yard work! Where do I put my yard waste when all 3 trash cans are full? Premier who you purchased did an awesome job. You are the worst. Not only did Premier pick up recycles every week, but they never missed a pick up. You charge us the same and even more, and pick up recycles every other week. Would give 0 stars if I could.

    Unhelpful and rude customer service. Papillion Sanitation, always have something to say after the fact right? I noticed that with other 1 star reviews, so was just waiting for mine. We were customers for 10 years!! They refused to pick up our lawn waste because they were in trash cans. Something they did for 10 YEARS! When my husband called he got attitude. Then accused us of NOT paying for recycling! The lady that does your customer service is rude and needs to be fired. This is why we dumped them as a service and went to Abe's. Keep treating your customers this way and you will lose more. You are NOT the only service in town!

    The contract they have you sign is completely one sided. If you want to cancel you have a 30 day window, starting 120 days before your renewal date and you have to send the cancellation by certified or registered mail, in writing. Who does business like this?? Furthermore even though you are under contract they can raise the price at any time, and they don’t even bother to explain- the bill just rises as much as 15% from the rate you signed a “contract” for. Completely unethical and downright shady business practices. Avoid like the plague.

    If you would like all of your trash picked up, you should find another service. They will not load one extra trash bag into their trucks, and leave passive aggressive notes and warnings. There are better options available. Appreciate the reply but this was not an isolated incident. This was the incident, along with the trash bags left, that finally broke us into cancelling service.

    I have used them for as long as our city has had the contract with them. Most weeks I wouldn't even have garbage. The one time that I am moving and have a few extra items they refuse to pick up and want to charge a 75$ fee to pick up extra items. Additionally I was offered an extra convenience pick up a few weeks prior that I did not take them up on at the time. I would not recommend to use this company due to the ever changing pick up times and rules/price gouging.

    I’ve had nothing but problems with this service since they bought out Priemer. They have been awful both from a business and residential perspective. No response when scheduling pick ups after two emails sent with the list of items and 4 pictures of what was to be picked up - per their request, regular missed trash pick up on schedules days when the trash has been to the curb the night before. Calling and getting them to correct their mistake is always a challenge and argument where they make you feel like it’s your fault. I’ve had damaged property multiple times at the business and when called and spoke to a manager he accused me of lying. Flat out on my vm.. so I sent pictures which were a waste of my time because no acknowledgement or apologies. For the price we pay for this service and the hassle it is to deal with them, just do your job!

    We are a new customer and upon calling to inquire about how their billing system worked, I was met with a very nasty customer service rep by the name of Mikayla. She was very rude and snappy when all I was asking was for her to explain the charges on my bill. And when I asked for a supervisor she said he was out for the day and had no problems connecting me to his voicemail. That should have been a sign that she was used to being this way with customers. If the pick up is as bad as the customer service I will look somewhere else. We'll see, I'll report back in 3 months.

    Every other Friday, Papillion sanitation forgets to pick up our recycling and everyone on our side of the street. They don’t know how to solve this problem. All they say is we will have the driver come an Honor your agreement l. Our pick up day is Friday so rather than sending someone on Saturday, we have to wait until Monday or Tuesday sometimes. This has happened a minimum of 10 times. I’d suggest the following resolutions for your valued customers. Someone in operations come up with a new route for the driver to follow rather than just telling him “you forgot”. Call your customers on our side of the street to verify the recycling has been picked up by noon. Honor your agreement. When you don’t provide the service as agreed up, don’t charge me for that day. Exercise some leadership.

    The drivers are very polite and professional. the Waste management phone representative is curtious and quick at her job. Thanks for being a great papillion sanitation. Its my fault but unfortunately I have covid and didnt get my trash out on time. Had to use my "One time" trash reschedule that was free. You get a free one once a year. If I forget next time it will cost $75 yikes. Thanks Covid for using my free one time reschedule on Jan 2nd.

    Papillion Sanitation is a great company with a big heart! We are mentoring an Afghan immigrant family and Papillion Sanitation is providing the oldest son an opportunity to learn to be a diesel mechanic! From what we seen, Papillion Sanitation foster a safe and family like work environment that really cares for their employees. We are grateful Papillion Sanitation is providing an opportunity for our Afghan immigrant family.

    Absolute worst trash and recycling service. They bought out Premier Waste which was amazing. You pay for their service and Papillon won't pick up anything outside of the bins. Premier would take everything. They miss recycling often and complain if boxes aren't broken down into 2x2 bundles. Who bundles boxes that small? What are we paying them for? 0/10. Would not recommend.

    If there was a NEGATIVE star, I would put that. Absolutely terrible customer care. When their driver refuses to pick up a run, as they are onsite, and nothing wrong with it. everything is crushed below the top of the can. It gets pushed out 24-48 on their driver refusal. After already having it scheduled 2-3 days in advance. I have a business to run and I can't do my job with the udder disregard from this company. I would say this company needs some new management and overhaul to get some personnel in there that care about the customer. NEVER use this company.

    Papillion Sanitation doesn't hold itself accountable for trash falling out of its garbage trucks. A family in Newport Hill reports witnessing boxes falling out, then Papillion Sanitation driver ran over the debris. When reported, Papillion Sanitation was rude and replied it is not responsible. My wife also reported truck No. 729 leaving trash while driving south along 156th street. Not a good neighbor!

    This 5-star review is for a 5-star employee, Nicole Harms. Nicole was not only very personable and welcoming over the phone, but she went above and beyond during our call. There has been a lot of confusion since we moved, and she cleared up everything and even gave alternate suggestions on what to do if I miss a recycling day, or if have more than what I am allowed to recycle. Furthermore, bwfore getting off the call, even though she felt certain in her information, she put me on hold to double check with her supervisor to confirm she was relaying the correct info. She deserves a raise, a paid vacation day, and employee recognition award. Thanks, Nicole!

    We use this company for our business in Blair. The service is extremely reliable. I've called customer service on 2 occasions with a question (NO major issue) and Nicole is EXACTLY what a Customer Service Rep should be - responsive, friendly, accommodating, and extremely professional!

    I took a young man to Papillion Sanitation for a job interview. I was a former Regional Vice President for Union Pacific Railroad and observed the professionalism the entire team at Papillion Sanitation displayed. Tracy M. is the recruiting coordinator and I got to sit and talk with John, Jesses, and Nick from the operations group. The focus on safety and family culture they have been able to establish makes this place a great place to seek employment if you are a looking. I was highly impressed!!

    Wasn’t sure if they forgot my trash one week so I called and they said not to worry I’m the last stop, trash picked up no worries. Few weeks later my trash was put out at 7am and they didn’t pick up and when I called the lady said we are the first stop and since it wasn’t out by 6am it was my fault. Made me use my one free pick up even though I reviewed my ring for the day and not a single trash truck came down my street. Kinda scummy.

    In the past year they have missed about a quarter of our neighborhood a few different times. They come into our neighborhood, do one side and then miss picking up the rest. We normally have Friday pickup but because of the weather last week they pushed it to Saturday, totally understandable. Trash truck came into our neighborhood last Saturday(12-24) but again missed one side of the street. We called 12-26 to ask why they didn't pick ours up and customer service apologized and said to leave our extra bags next to the trash cans and they would grab everything next pick up day. They even had a recording when you call in that says to do the same thing. Of course when they come today they don't grab the extra bags. We call again to ask why they didn't do what they agreed to do and customer service is now saying they didn't miss us last week and we never called, even though we did. So frustrating. We weren't the only ones missed last week and we weren't they only ones with extra bags out that the driver didn't pick up. Going to have to talk to everyone else on our street today that also gets randomly missed and see if they have also called to complain and try to work out something together to proove to this company that we aren't the only ones. We understood with the weather and even being missed on Christmas Eve but now it's just getting ridiculous. Clearly the issue seems to be the driver comes through our neighborhood and instead of circling back around to do our side of the street he keeps on going because it's too much of an inconvenience or he's just trying to save time. *editing my review because a few hours after our last phone call with them the driver did come back by our house and pick up the remaining bags they said they would. I appreciate them fixing the issue. I understand it can be a difficult job and I'm glad they were able to follow through with what they said they would do.*

    These guys, especially the team that does my house, are awesome. I noticed that my can had been wind tipped, and pieces of wood and objects were in the street, my sidewalk, and my driveway. I was putting on clothes to put everything back into the can and when I went outside, they were already gone and ALL my items were picked up and taken away and my can left right where it’s supposed to be. A++++. Thank you. The team that does Carriage Hill on 168th and Blondo are rockstars.

    We’ve been using Papillion Sanitation for about 6 months and have nothing but positive things to say. Every box disposed of after our move - sooo thankful! We’ve had a few “trashy” weeks where our cans are bursting - our driver picks them up no issues! Great service in Gretna, NE.
