If it was not for my insurance I would not be here. Pain management is a joke here. I went 45 days in between back surgeries with out regular pain management. Definitely set my recovery back. Then they want to post talk to us links. Manage people's pain and get valet service back. Pay intake staff better so they have better outlooks. You are running a half asked hospital. I have so many other complaints. I will say Dr Alexander Yang is a very talented person. I wish you were at a better hospital.

The facility is top notch. I go here to see a specialist from time to time. Parking is very easy and there’s always plenty of room. The offices are clean, modernized, and up to date. The staff is very helpful and kind. The front desk team is fast and they always have multiple people working. Once your inside the exam room the nursing team does there thing with a kind heart. They are very sensitive to my situation and they make me feel real comfortable. I’ve never had to wait long for the doctor to see me. She has the best bed side manor and is always very clear and explains everything in a simple yet thorough way. Overall, I don’t mind coming back here. Everything about the facility keeps me a loyal customer. Thank You.

My dad was brought here by ambulance at 1:30 pm. It is currently 10:30 pm and we are still in the ER waiting on a room. We have been told that they are "cleaning the room". This has been the excuse for 6 hours. He has not seen a physician and has 4 cracked ribs. We have asked to speak to a supervisor and have been told she's busy. This is an absolute joke of a health care facility. We are about ready to just unplug and leave. Do better Bergen. Do better.

*UPDATE * Glad they care about my opinion. Left a review and got a reply requesting a call. Go ahead and try to call the number. It's an automated line requesting you leave a message. Good luck getting a call back. So basically not only does their in-person service suck, but they try to give a false public persona of actually caring about your opinion. Lying worse than a politician. The worst experience ever with a hospital ER. I was referred to the ER by urgent care. Checked in with chest pains, shortness of breath, high BP, high pulse rate. Family history of heart attack and stroke. Waited 7 hrs in a waiting room. Saw multiple people come and go, including a 19 year old kid with a dislocated shoulder. Was told twice I was next on the list, only to find they didn't see my name on a list the last time I asked. 7 hrs after arriving, I walked out the door without being seen. The staff, with the exception of one, was super nice though. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give no stars I would. Your Dr makes appts for you at their facility and when you arrive, they say they aren't ready for you. Probably at least a 2 -3 hour wait. If you go into the ER, good luck. 2 family members have lately with serious injuries. BOTH ended up going over to Methodist after they were seen. Bergan used to be my hospital of choice and I would recommend to everyone. No more. They aren't prepared for human transactions just follow the profitable route. It's the last place I recommend now and I actually advise against going there at all. Save yourself a headache, just go the few extra blocks to Methodist and get top notch care. Also they don't treat you like cattle waiting for your turn in the chute, they are actually compassionate there.

Woman with glasses and ponytail at the front desk literally told my boyfriend who came to the ER due to extreme abdominal pain and nausea to stop complaining because he wasn’t going to die and he’s acting like a child.. I’m sorry but a front desk clerk should not be giving medical advice and insulting patients. Really bad look for this hospital! I’m here in the waiting room and as I type this on 01/24 @ 9:03pm CST there’s a woman who’s pregnant with abdominal pain bent over in PAIN and she’s saying nausea and pain is normal during a pregnancy. WHAT THE HELL?????? Who is she to diagnose anyone? Her job is to do the administrative work and THATS IT. I’m shocked that such a professional hospital has this type of front desk help. Don’t work in the medical field if you can’t express empathy and patience for patients.

Honestly not even sure where to begin with the nightmare that was the Bergan ER. We brought our 1 year old in because he had a sudden onset of what we now know to be stridor (no thanks to the staff here). We were kept in a room where no one came to check in on us for about 3 hours. Eventually I had to demand a doctor and x rays (we were concerned there was something in his airway). Our concerns were constantly dismissed (sorry for caring about my one year olds breathing). The doctor that came in didn’t even bother examining him or using a stethoscope. Just said he looked fine and that was it. Dr Apollo did bill (the wrong insurance) thousands of dollars for this though. When we first checked in we provided our updated insurance (had to insist they take our new info). Bergan, the radiologist, and the doctor still billed the insurance we asked them to remove. So now we are constantly on hour long phone calls trying to get this up to date. We have provided updated insurance FOUR TIMES now.. still have not billed the right company. No one provided any care.. the support afterwards to update insurance has been embarrassing. We’ve made calls and left messages for administrators to call us back.. nothing. We are at a loss on what to do next outside of contacting an attorney. I would recommend avoiding Bergan at all costs. Oh and to top it all off.. the blood on the wall of our room was a nice touch.

The surgery department is not in communication with the other departments, we had to push to get an appointment, and one surgeon was so into her routine of expecting nice answers to "how are you today?" That she called my wife rude when she answered that she was tired of the lack of her quality of life. The doctor's response was that we should get a second opinion, then brushed us off. The billing department has difficulty understanding a "share cost insurance plan" and at each visit, we had to re-explain from the start .

The check-in process went smoothly. The patient host was very attentive and kind. I was called in for my appointment only a couple of minutes late. The technician was very nice, provided good instructions and completed the appointment quickly. I would actually rate this visit a 4 1/2 out of 5.

My husband and I visited the ER on Friday Morning. I’m not sure where the doctors, nurses, staff and administration come from. But we both agreed that we’ve never met such caring compassionate individuals that were on the ball and on top of things. I feel so blessed to have my husband in my life, however when you come to Bergan Mercy we know we will get the treatment he deserves. Would recommend this hospital and staff to anyone. God Bless You!

Got diagnosed at 10am with two broken ribs. Great job by the initial team. I sat in a room for 8 hours listening to a nurse apologize about your doctors. Someone could’ve seen me for 5 minutes and sent me home, instead i had to badger multiple nurses to take out my IV and I left at 6pm without being seen by an actual “doctor”. Thanks y’all

Admitted to ER at 6:00 pm with a really bad scraping of my right leg. Sorry can’t remember the doctors name but she was exceptionally personable which made my stay more pleasurable. My personal hats off to the personnel that also were very personable. Although my family doctor is at Lakeside, I’ve always had outstanding service, especially when I had my heart attack, was treated like a King.(lol). Thanks to all who make my visits so nice.

The staff here are great. I love the nurses. They are so caring and personable. I would give them 10 stars. But whoever runs this operation is doing a terrible job. I’ve been in the ER since 4:30pm yesterday, because they are short staffed. I was told they are waiting for a bed to open up, but that’s not the truth. Our healthcare has failed me. I’m not happy with this process.

DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE !!! They’re not concerned about the patient, all they care about is teaching the students no matter if it puts the patient in danger. They dropped a screw in my daughter’s chest durning surgery and sewed her back up, my daughter had a big gash that required staples in the back of her head that went unnoticed for 5 days . They let her snatch her breathing tube out her mouth and took extremely long to come help her (and she can’t breathe on her own) there’s a black nurse on the 3rd floor with the worse attitude. And instead of the doctors being concerned about my daughter’s health (again) they had more concern over why I didn’t want that ghetto woman and her bad energy dealing with my daughter . I could go on and and on about the care, or lack there of, of my daugher .

I was blessed A Dr I have a difficult time trying to remember My Drs. Name I was taken by an ambulance to Immanuel Hospital i was in a coma so the details were told to me after I came out of the coma…..My sugar was 2,000 I was given my last prayer and last rights to compound my situation The procedure I underwent was a six foot part of intestine hade to be surgically removed…..I had to wear a bag for six months upon my next appointment Another Surgeon from the same suite informed me that He would perform the reconstruction of my intestine and I have no need for a bag….. I was blessed too have These amazing Drs who did the initial surgery and a different Dr did this procedure to reconstruct my intestine….. I have worked throughout the United States In my humble opinion i was the most fortunate person to have the surgery This office of Drs saved my life…. I’m a veteran and all I can say is the VA ER room did not properly diagnose me I went to the ER seven times five days after my last ER at the VA is when I lapsed into a coma…. I was very fortunate that protocol was to take me to Immanuel Hospital…That evening The ER surgeon was and is still affiliated with CHI BERGEN MERCY Drs group on the 2000 suite in the CHI New Building…..My experience was an excellent result directly due to the Dr who was the attending Physician at Immanuel Hospital…. I was graced by My Lord…..I have the upmost respect and confidence with these Drs in suite 2000 …It’s been a year since my initial surgery in the ER….No matter any person’s affiliation with any type of Faith Agnostic or Atheist…. I personally and profoundly respect and I will not go back to the VA….The Drs at the VA are like the luck of the draw…. I have great amazing Drs at the VA unfortunately there are Drs physicians whatever who are completely Misinformed or they are not able to practice at any other medical institution in Omaha Ne….If you are in a serious medical emergency the only thing I can say is these Amazingly skilled and competent and caring physicians is who I would will always refer anyone I know to seek treatment at CHI BERGEN MERCY the rest of the staff were excellent and caring RN LPN’s I will and always refer anyone I know in the community to seek The best Surgeons in the entire vicinity….This is my result and I just had to post my experience and the Excellent Surgeons Nurses the entire staff for any individual to seek this Amazing Kind and Professional Service’s and the staff are second to NONE….. I am Graced to be alive today….. I will be eternally grateful for the care compassion and love that I was given….This is my strong opinion i wrote previously of my experiences…..Thank You too the entire staff….. I am blessed to be alive today…….. I will always be grateful for my experience and fortune to have the entire staff who I believe firmly that I was and still am unconditionally in the most qualified Medical Staff throughout the region….whom ever you believe in or have no faith i will always recommend this staff ….. I am graced to be alive and well today…..Von VanHoolandt,Omaha Nebraska Resident…..Thank You all the entire staff whom I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was Blessed to still be alive today….7-16-2023……

I spent a month in this hospital, just over three weeks of which were in the icu. They saved my life. The care was excellent in every respect. The staff are top notch, kind and caring professionals who treated me like a person who mattered. I am grateful, and will remain so for the rest of my days, knowing that each of those days are possible due to the dedicated people at CHI.

I had knee Replacement Surgery recently and went to Bergan Emergency for what I thought was a suspected Blood Clot the Staff there was Submissive of my pain or Suspected Blood Clot. The Doctor refused to run Ultrasound to Completly rule out Clot instead Ordered X- Ray and Ice pack before sending me back to a Room the nurse looked at my surgically sealed Dressing touched it and said it appeared ok then she undid dressing with hopes of providing fresh bandage. She then tells me after she exposed my 4 day old surgical site that she didn’t have the proper replacement bandage and placed Gauze over the wound with a ACE wrap exposing me to possible infection. She then tells me to shower and make sure to Pat incision dry which totally Contradicts my Surgeons instructions and to not get the wound wet Period . Until I’m seen 2 weeks Post Op for fear of infection. After being placed in small Room a CT Scan Tech shows up and says I’m taking you for a CT scan with contrast mind you I’m Allergic to CT contrast which is clearly stated in my medical History after me basically arguing that I’m not taking a CT scan with Contrast Agent they finally run test without Agent. After 1hr the Nurse and Doctor Discharges me tells me X- Ray was fine I’m free to go Mind you pain is still over a 10 . The Doctor never discussed Blot Clot anymore so I asked what about the CT scan results he says what CT scan mind you he ordered it then after discussion they realize it was supposed to be for a Car accident victim in the room next to mines. I have never seen such incompetent Medical Staff in My life .Bergan should be ashamed to have this Staff on a professionals my Advice Stay far away from this Place I’m Beyond Dissatisfied !!!!! Sincerely Traumatized Patient..

I struggle how to review this place. The facility and the staff were incredible! They took care of my wife and provided for her every need with no questions asked. The issues comes after the treatment. They messed up paperwork, spelled names wrong, and overall made it a nightmare to get insurance processed due to the clerical errors.

Gave birth here and my nurse Stephanie caused me to have an infection. She never worse gloves while giving my meds or my IV and never washed her hands before or after. She refused to touch my baby saying he didn't deserve cares. Nurse Stephanie shouldn't even have a license she works on postpartum on the third floor. Request a new nurse if you don't want an infection.

The nurses we saw were so nice. Very professional and so caring towards my son. That’s where the praises end. This place is absolutely disgusting. Dust balls hanging off the ceiling and lights in our room. Some kind of snot or other stain on the framed “art” on the wall. Bathroom across the hall had poop stains on the rim and the trash can was overflowing with disposable bed pans and other waste. For a place that should be sanitary and clean it was far from it. I took my son here because he’s been sick for a few days and tonight he vomited blood. No answer as to what caused it, according to the doctor he’s “never seen this before, just follow up with your primary on Monday.” Glad I’m going to be paying thousands for that answer. The real kicker here is we’re sitting waiting to even see what’s going on, not sure if he’s internally bleeding or anything. Waiting on labs and worried sick. And they send someone in to collect a 300 dollar copay!. Like we couldn’t have squared that away at discharge after we knew everything was ok?

The nurses are the only thing good at this hospital. My daughter went in for a serious issue that two of your OB doctors caused, only to be told by the specialist that he won't be helping to fix the issue. I have no doubt she was sent there so your OB doctors could cover themselves from a malpractice suit. You all are despicable. If I could give you no stars I would.

Broke my orbital and jaw in 2 places and went here. As someone who has been in the hospital for a lot of injuries this was by far my best experience. Dr. Miller was able to perform surgery on my jaw without wiring it together. All of the nurses were fantastic and willing to do whatever possible to help me stay comfortable and informed. Thank you so much to everyone on staff, I felt genuinely cared for and listened to.

I had an excellent experience getting my heart scan. I was called in just a few minutes after signing in. The receptionist was very friendly. Stephanie brought me back and got me set up for the scan and explained the procedure. She took me to the waiting room and asked me to drink a bottle of water that was on the table next to the chair I sat on. There was one man waiting ahead of me. Katie came to get me when it was my turn and got me situated on the exam table. Both of them made sure I was as comfortable as possible before Katie started the machine. They were both professional and very friendly. High marks for both of them for doing a top shelf job.

I had a cancer diagnosis in early November. I came to Dr. McIntosh office ,was treated with such compassion and expertise. In December I had surgery to remove it. Dr. Calls me two days after and says it was removed, no signs that it has spread. The Lord gave me a skilled Doctor and hope for more life! The office staff was very compassionate! So blessed !!

You deserve a negative review. I went to emergency room on Thursday October 19th. Saw a nurse who ask symptoms. I had fainted but my son caught me didn't hit my head or anything. I told her I was dehydrated due to having flu for 5 days vomiting and diarrhea. Someone said he was Dr. Damian Apollo and started to rattle off a bunch of unnecessary test and said he'd let me know results. He needs to correct my records. He nor anyone else examined me so don't know how he could tell what tests I needed. Finally got room in ER hours later no pillow or blanket and nurse finally gave me IV fluid which I immediately felt better. Test results were in my Chart at 2:30 pm, still no doctor then ultrasound came in for more tests no exclamation. When I told nurse I was leaving finally a resident came in no exam to make me sign something that if I left and died I couldn't sue. I firmly believe if I didn't leave I would have died that night from lack of care and unnecessary tests. Please correct my results. I consider lying on medical records is fraud and hope this man never is allowed to see patients again Thank you Margaret Hibberd Cheuvront

By far thee worse hospital. My son sat in a ER room for hours bleeding. From the Doctor's to the Nurse’s very unprofessional. I guess they felt it wasn’t an emergency. The charge nurse finally came in with a bad attitude and I believe because of my skin tone she felt threatened so of course security was called which caused bigger issues. All I asked is that my son receives the proper care that was needed because that is why you all have jobs. This is the new age Douglas County Hospital. Legal action will be taken.

I'm sorry to report my last experience with Bergan Mercy hospital left me traumatized. With a reputation such as CHI, you'd expect to be treated with respect and receive the best care possible. Instead, because of the care I received and lack of communication as to my condition, I left against medical advice putting me at greater risk for further complication and/or events. No follow up from hospital and I'm now forced to take action. A reminder to all how important it is to have an advocate, someone you can trust to be a voice and ask questions when you're not able.

When a loved one has an accident, keep them away from this hospital. The ICU kept my father alive, then they moved him to floor 3, which was bad, and then to floor 6, which is where people without family advocates, go to be neglected. Don’t surrender to this machine. There are better places

  • 1/5 Andredi 7 months ago on Google
Distinct lack of emergency in their emergency room. Will call patients back for the initial questions and blood pressure test, then after you have already waited 1.5hrs will send you back to the lobby saying they will call you back shortly for more. Rest assured whatever that more is for you, it will not be shortly. Avoid this ER. Worst I've been to across the Midwest.

Amazing people, and just about the best experience I could have hoped for when it comes to a broken bone. Dr. Christianson is incredible and kindly answered all my questions & concerns regarding surgery. Day of surgery, both him and the nurses showed a lot of compassion and warmth, which is greatly appreciated during a time of such high anxiety. I even received a get-well card in the mail from them. So thankful to be on the mend with the help of this team!

I came in to have a mammogram. It took practically no time at all. I was provided with a wheelchair from the welcome desk. Registration was quick and efficient. I waited less than 10 minutes to be taken for imaging. My technician Sarah was polite, friendly, considerate and instructive. I’m unable to stand for more than five minutes without experiencing excruciating pain in my lower back so we were able to perform my X-rays while I was sitting down. I was finished before I knew it. Thank you for a pleasant visit.

The 5 stars is for the ICU nurses and doctors that saved my sons life. Alicia and Jared were the best nurses. There are a handful of them on the 4th floor. Adryanne is great . One thing I didn’t like was that my son pushed his call button and because the nurse couldn’t hear him she decided not to come in and check on him. It was an hour later when she finally came in. This was in progressive care. The subway staff were also phenomenal. Thank you.

I'm happy I went. It's not the closest hospital to my home but they definitely got me in the fastest. The care team was awesome and I appreciate the communication and empathy I was shown by my nurse. I definitely recommend if it's an emergency but not life threatening.

The doctors allowed my uncle, a dementia patient to checkout AMA, even with documentation that he could not go home asks needed 24 hour care. The POA had a facility in place for his safety. It was all completely ignored. I hope to NEVER have to go there for anything. The only saving grace was the fantastic social worker who was trying to help but was also ignored. I’d give them a 0 rating if I could

Visiting nurses were unable to draw my mother's labs, after 7 attempts. They told us to take my mom to the ER so they could use an ultrasound to find a vein. In the ER paramedic Ryan not only found 1 vein, he found 2, 1 poke each time! Amazing! I told him he should help the visiting nurses draw blood!
