Tropical fish store

👍👍 The staff was super knowledgable and helpful at helping me pick some quick growing plants, and they threw in an assassin snail to combat any lurkers. The first two photos were how I threw those plants into my tank. After 6 months, my tank was a jungle (not pictured) so I cut probably half the growth... The best aquarium store I've been to. The staff all have a general knowledge and they also have specific people that manage specific areas such as plants, co2 infusion, tank space and how to accommodate your fish to minimize stress. 10/10 would bang store if store were consulting, adult human.

This place is hit or miss if they are going to be friendly or not. We have been in about 4 times now. We leave feeling like we were not wanted there. It’s a shame because they have a great selection of plants for fresh water, but that may be because they don’t get the traffic in like the other shops in Omaha. We were recommend by a friend that lives half way across the state. While we were impressed by the plant selection, nothing keeps customers away then the feeling your not welcomed. May just be the times we are showing up.

Love this place. Always has some good stock and show their updates on Facebook for new shipments. Plants are healthy and priced right.

Excellent customer service I believe I met the owners whom both take time to show and educate on their products. Great selection on fish and plants! I’ll definitely be shopping here for all my aquarium needs. Thank you!

Our favorite aquarium store in Omaha. Knowledgeable staff who were patient and took the time to help my family set up our first tank.

Took the 4 year old to get some fish last week. The guy that worked with us had some good recommendations and they had a good selection of freshwater community fish. It seems like other shops are always sold out of the cheap easy fish. Its been a few days and everybody is still swimming!

It has been a long time since I had needed to go into an aquarium store. I was on a mission for some fresh water plants and possibly snails for my children's goldfish tank. The employees were EXTREMELY helpful. First off understanding exactly what I needed, there was no "upsell" attempting and everything was explained for the new floating plants and the two beautiful mystery snails that now inhabit out tank. I would highly recommend Rivers & Reefs for both novice and experienced aquarium owners as it has that small town all our welcome shop feel that's both inviting and educational.

I sent everyone I know here. They help me start my first ever aquarium and I knew nothing! I love that they’re always so friendly and willing to answer any questions. They also keep the place so clean and the plants and fish look amazing!

I was recommended this store by a fellow hobbyist. I definitely gave these guys a shot for setting up my latest tank. I bought accessories, food, fish, plants, etc. I wanted to buy local and support a smaller store but this last experience was bad. When I came in to buy the fish the staff was disinterested, whatever maybe I caught them on a bad day. I took them home and 5/10 fish were showing signs of illness, NBD that's what quarantine tanks are for. However when I called to get med recommendations I was greeted by the owner, he was dismissive and could not care less. Needless to say I wish I'd spent my money elsewhere.

The staff was super knowledgable and helpful at helping me pick some quick growing plants, and they threw in an assassin snail to combat any lurkers. The first two photos were how I threw those plants into my tank. After 6 months, my tank was a jungle (not pictured) so I cut probably half the growth out to trash it, and now I'm ready for it to take over again for a rescape! The plants are now happily pearling again. I would happily shop here again!

Good place, wish google maps didn't confuse me but we found it in the end. Liked the fish selection, the ONLY store that had the medium sized oscar i wanted, and a cool color too! Very nice staff, asked me if we were doing alright when they had time and answered my questions.

👍👍 Its a queer friendly store. I have trouble with local store that just not very trans friendly. Today i went in and pick some live stock for my betta tank. I was amazed by a variety of live stock this place carried. I will come here again but not soon just cause its 20 min drive lol. The staff was...

🫤 Its OK. I just wish they took better care of their stock. You should be quarantining anyway but you REALLY need to do that if you buy from here. A majority of the fish I've purchased had some variety of ragged fins and or fungus and the rams I took home recently had obvious ick spots. Overall the st...
