I'm a person of color. As I entered the lobby, I greeted the guy at front desk with smile. He saw me entering the lobby as the door bang open and I walked towards him but he didn't bother to recognize me. As a person of color, I got used to be constantly disrespected and stereotyped, so I tolerated him and greeted him anyways even though he was supposed to be the one to welcome one of his customers. As I greeted him, He looked down me with anger and commanded me "show me your ID!" He seemed very agitated and disrespectful. I replied, "why are you so rude to me? I just greeted you with smile and respect!" He said sorry and tell me he just wakes up. The room was very rundown and has a very strong smell. Obviously not clean sheets or blankets there and the cleaning detergent they use smells awful. The AC groans and moans every 2 minutes trying to heat the room. Very disruptive of sleep. My overall experience is very disappointing. If you are a person of color amd get bothered by bad customer service and noisy AC and strong smells, you better look other places.

Not what it looked like in the photos. Very run down and dirty. Kids were playing soccer in the parking lot, very unsafe. The worker at the front desk checked u in without speaking the entire time. The lady in the room next door had brought her cat and it's litter box. The pillow cases were see through and put on inside out for some reason. The shower was not clean and the shower curtain was disgusting. The mattress felt like concrete. We left asap the next morning and skipped the second night we'd booked. Most definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. So disgusting.

If it wasn't for the guy who worked overnight and another guy who I mainly saw at the front desk during the day. I'd give it one star. I got transferred for work out in the Council Bluffs area and I'm familiar with New Victorian Inn back home. But this one was nothing like it, at least I didn't see until my second week there on and off. I can book for multiple days do to work so sometimes I book a night leave and come back the same day to book another room. That being said, I was literally rotating between rooms I had before....and it's a four stort hotel? Was trying to have a conversation with an older man who I assume works there. And he's just looking me up and down like I'm a homeless man begging when I've put at least 500 Dollars in between the past two weeks. But what's filthy is the dog poop on the sidewalk before you walk in and all in the parking lot surrounding your car. Piles of trash bags left on the side of the building. Roaches in your room. Brown stains on towels. Like I literally had the same towels I had before and I knew it because of the stains on the towels and whatever weird smell they had. If you have kids, I suggest you don't bring them here. Dude walking around with a golf club at night. Drug transactions in the parking lot along with sketchy people walking through the parking lot at odd hours in the night (felt like roaches were crawling on me so I kept going outside to smoke a cigarette). Other then the two men who had great customer service, my tenure here was horrible. When I get back to town I'm finding another establishment.

Dirty and disgusting! After checking the rooms when we first got them, they ended up being extremely dirty. One room had food on the floor and smudged food (looked like pizza sauce and cheese) on the bedding and there was hair all over the pillows. When I asked for a different room, I got a room that didn’t have the AC on ( seemed odd since it was the end of July) so I checked the bathroom, flushed the toilet and water poured out everywhere since it was clogged. Obviously it wasn’t a working available room, which I’m positive he knew that when he gave me the keys. Got a 3rd room. Hair all over the pillows, something splattered all over the walls. Pretty positive they just make the beds when guests leave and don’t change the sheets. Got a refund and went to another hotel. What a nightmare! Don’t waste your time, money and energy thinking this will be a good stay!

Rooms were below average. Air conditioner squeaked and was rusted. Rooms are very outdated. Lots of Construction people seem to stay there. Did not feel safe, outside doors said you had to swipe your room key to get into the building, that was not true. Anyone can get in at anytime. A guy that wasn't staying at hotel, he was just strangely hanging out in parking lot was picked up by police while we were there. Pool was filthy!!!! Pictures show a gym but there was none. Very disappointing.

Was set up here for company orientation checked in on Sunday night about 7pm was given a room that appeared on the surface to be clean till we pulled the sheets back to call it a night. The bed was clearly dirty had all kinds of hair in the sheets. The towels was folded as if they was clean. My wife started to take a shower and noticed the towels was dirty also. Went to front desk with pillow that looked to have feces rubbed on the case of it. They pulled out a note book looked through it upon review of their note book was given another room that the AC didn’t work. Informed front desk they said due to us having pets they couldn’t move us to another room. We tried to deal with it due to the outside temps wasn’t to bad room stayed about 75 the whole time. At night the place comes alive people coming and going all night long in and out all hours, very heavily trafficked. Cops was on property for issues several nights in a row. Long story I guess you get what you pay for. Checked out and went to the Hilton. Would not recommend this place for anyone.

Nasty hotel. Felt dirty from the second you walk in. Smells like cigarettes in the halls. The elevator smelled like salami? When you walk into the room, there's a light switch but no light. There's no light on the ceiling! Just a dull lamp that you have to walk through the pitch black room to turn on. We asked for new bedding because it was clear the pillow cases weren't changed from a crunchy stain so we figured nothing else was changed either. The new bedding smelled like mildew and the new pillow cases had bunch of stains and were really scratchy. My husband forgot to ask for blankets also so we asked after we came back (left for a while because we felt dirty being there and we thought about leaving) and they told us that they can't give us anything passed 9. Like why? Dumb. We felt like they were lying just so they didn't have to give them to us. Oh, also can't forget about the pool. Pool was okay but while we were out there, a man was digging through the dumpsters then another man showed up and joined him. They were watching towards the pool so we felt the need to go inside. We definitely wish we would've spend the extra money on a better hotel.

Two of my family members and I came to Omaha, NE for a wedding. When we arrived at the New Victorian, we were greeted by two gentlemen at the Registration Desk. They were professional, friendly, and very helpful! Breakfast was from 6-9 am. They had Biscuits & Gravy, 3 types of Cereals, Bagels & Cream Cheese, Toast, Coffee, Milk, Orange Juice & Apple Juice and you could make your own Waffles! Everything was fresh, tasted great and the area was very clean! I am forever grateful to Todd, who works the Registration Desk (among other things and he was one of the gentlemen who greeted us at the Registration Desk), and Seth, one of the Maintenance Employees! I was frazzled and had a lot on my mind that weekend. On Fri. afternoon, one of my family members accidentally locked her keys in her vehicle - a 2004 Toyota RAV4, which she had a key to unlock and to use to start the vehicle, not a Key FOB - and she accidentally left it running for 3 hours! 😢 She didn’t realize this until it was time for my family and I to go to a function and she was looking for her keys! Believe me, we were frustrated and she was sick to her stomach! 🥲 She went to the Registration Desk, and, long story short, Todd called Seth and after about 30 minutes of working hard, Seth was able to unlock her vehicle! Seth was patient and persistent! We were/are truly grateful! 👍 Our rooms were clean, quiet and we all slept very comfortably! The only thing I didn’t like is that we did not have washcloths. But, I don’t blame the Inn! They have a laundry service that they use and the service did not supply the washcloths. We made due using hand towels. I would definitely recommend the New Victorian Inn and Suites! 👍

Every single fabric, from towels to sheets to even the shower curtain, had stains of yellow red and brown in various shapes and sizes. This hotel needs to invest in new fabric or at least some bleach. No bugs though and the breakfast was there despite having no protein aside from watery instant eggs. Watery juice too. Do not recommend. There are much better budget hotels than this.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The staff are friendly, good people. The rooms are comfortable (I'd consider this to be business-class lite). The breakfast includes sausage gravy/buttermilk biscuits, bacon & eggs, and a make-your-own waffle station. They have a clean, well-maintained pool. There's plenty of parking, even if you have a trailer. And it's right next to a Statie station so you can rest assured there won't be any tomfoolery happening here 🙂 I recommend this place to anyone that wants a good night's sleep at a comfortable spot right off the I-80 in Omaha.

Do not recommend. Room was not clean, no coffee and crumbs on coffee tray. Mold in shower area and coffee (?) stains on bathroom countertop. Magazine on bedside stand was extremely gross. Only one light worked which was probably so we couldn’t see the condition of carpet, which didn’t appear very clean…. I checked out breakfast, but decided not to eat after seeing room condition. Will not be staying here again.

Granted, the place is under renovation but my room was not ready. The price was what drew me to it and the fact there’s an outdoor pool though I did not feel safe to hit the pool. The area is very industrial. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable however there were only two small pillows on the bed and one did not have a pillow case. The door had only half of the latch bolt thing on it so I did not feel safe. There is not closet. No luggage rack. The a/c unit was crazy loud at times (video included does not show the loudest which occurred periodically throughout the middle of the night). There was almost no water pressure to take a bath or shower making me late to meetings the next morning (video included). And finally they overcharged me for my second night without explanation. Good thing I asked for a print out of my receipt or I would never have known. The staff were nice but did not know how to help me when I brought my issues to them. All in all, not a place I would stay again. Two stars for cleanliness.

This hotel finds it ok to rent rooms with broken and missing deadbolts, plus their idea of clean is about as good as a cockroachs. I had 2 rooms and both were filthy. Even after re-cleaning my 2nd room, it was still dirty. Spend the money and stay elsewhere. The 2nd room I had, didn't have water pressure and the ac/heat unit might have worked, but if it did I couldn't tell

Reviews were mixed, so we were leery, but our room was very clean. Second floor is all non smoking. Furnishings seemed pretty new. A couple of issues. No hair dryer in the room, but they brought us one. It stopped working. . . The dead bolt didn't fit in to the door jamb. A little sketchy there.

Receptionist at the front desk was very nice and professional but very run-downrooms, rooms stinks, sheets smelled it took a few days after checkout to get the smell out of my nose, carpet was nasty, shower drains was clogged. Whoever cleaned the rooms sucks at it, and whoever does the maintenance there needs to learn how to be a real building maintenance man or woman. The caulking in the bathroom looked a 5 year old, did it. I suggest a different hotel

The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The elevator worked when I first got there, then after that it didn't work for the rest of the night. I'm disabled which makes go up and down the stairs difficult. If someone was more disabled and I and couldn't do stairs they would have been stuck on their room until the next day. There dining area isn't wheelchair accessible. On the plus side, they had a good breakfast bar. The biscuits and gravy tasted fresh, they had bagels, bread for toast, butter and jelly, Belgium waffles, O.J., coffee, cereal and milk.

Everything was really clean, and nice. However, didn't have any wash clothes in our room so had to ask front desk and had to wait for to get done washing also. TV was on the wrong input so had to figure that out and change it to HDMI 1. Plus the AC was not good at all was sweating sleep while having the AC temperature set on 68 degrees. Paid $155 thought it would be better but all around good service and nice clean efficient room's but not great for $155 for 1 night stay

Parking and location was okay. The check in staff was polite. I was supposed to get 1 king and 1 sofa bed for 3 people. The king was fine; clean and made up. The sofa bed was filthy; it had trash flying out of it when we took the bed out and the sheets were dirty. When I called downstairs the gentleman gave the excuse that they were phasing the sofa beds out. Which I'm sorry, is a hotel issue not mine but I asked for sheets since he didn't make any offer to have it cleaned or anything. I even had to go down stairs myself and pick them up. Breakfast was waffle, cereal, toast, muffins, juice, sausage gravy and biscuits. Cheap price if you can sleep 3 on a king bed. I wouldn't go back.

This place is disgusting! Our bed was covered in black hairs and food stains. There was a layer of dust on everything. The shower didn't drain properly. Food, crumbs, dust and hair was swept under the bed. I does not look like they clean between guests. I would pay a little extra to stay somewhere else!

Breakfast was very good. The guys at the front desk were super nice and went out of there way to help me get into my room. And extremely understanding and nice when I lost my key to my room a million times..Thank you . I will recommend and will stay again.

No stars!! First I could not cancel my reservation so we had to stay there. We had paid for 2 rooms for 4 nights. When we got there the front desk person was not very friendly and had his child helping check us in. Went to our rooms and they looked nothing like rooms on the website. They were disgusting and daughter’s room smelled like mold and mildew very badly. We asked to get them a different room and they did accommodate. The bed sheets were not very clean and one of our pillows was torn and the stuffing was coming out. My husband went to eat breakfast the next morning and said it was very questionable. He eat the biscuit’s and gravy they served. He later was throwing up and was very sick! Pretty sure he got food poisoning. We ended up not staying for other 3 nights !! We tried to get our money back but they refused!! I don’t recommend staying here to anyone!!

Owners just use this crack house looking hotel to launder money. Owners wife had pure intentions but unfortunately has brain cancer so she isn't aware of much going on. This place is a health nightmare and should be condemnd. If you value your life at all please sleep elsewhere. Rather it be in your car, under a bridge or near a creek. Still safer.

As soon as we got into the room we noticed bad smells and a poor sanitation. ALL of the linen and half of the towels had mysterious stains on them. I asked them to be changed and they were changed into slightly less, but still, stained sheets. The air conditioner was leaking a pool of water the entire weekend we were there. We informed the front desk worker and not a single person came to even look at what we were talking about. Lastly, the door to the stairway was opened the entire time and anyone could just walk up to the room hallways without having to pass the lobby. I felt unsafe, dirty, and angry the entire time I was there.

Would give zero if I could. First room had dirty women's underwear hanging on back of door. Everything just looked and felt dirty. Changed to a different room. It was worse then the first tried to stick it out since it was only a few hours. No mattress cover or other type of cover on mattress or pillows. Pillows looked stained, moldy, and gross. Left and slept in the car.

Room is nasty - night stand was sticky and trash by the night stand - if you have no choice bring lysol with you - the room has a gross dirty feeling- not to mention found hair in the bed. Moving to another hotel tomorrow- hopefully better. 91.00 a night. Also the hotel smells especially in the hallway.

This place is so dirty! The curtains were broke. The shower was dirty and so were the pillows! It literally looked like a prank. We were so tired we stuck it thru the night. However the room smelled like cigarette smoke and burnt Indian food. I will never stay here again! The absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’m also contacting the better business bureau !

Bugs in bathroom, no vent so pool clothes never dried and were starting to smell when leaving, guy in front to check us in was rude, carpet had stains and cigarette burns, hall smelt, will not give extra towels, does not clean room each morning and not at all on our 4 night stay, pool dirty, breakfast decent. When we checked in the guy said that I can park right by front and room is close to front. So parked and carried all our luggage in to find out our room is ALL THE WAY AT END RIGHT BY BACK DOOR! Not happy! Should've paid $25 more for a GOOD hotel.

Our room appeared to be under renovation - towel rack partially yanked from wall, some of the holes in walls patched but not yet sanded or painted, plaster dust everywhere, paint & wall patching putty splattered on floor. The room's temperature was 59 degrees. The room lacked any furniture except bed & entertainment center. We were assured renovations were completed & furniture has not yet arrived. Towels were tattered Bed cover was soiled. The exterior door to parking, by the elevators, was missing the locking mechanism. People were loitering that didnt seem to belong. Luckily we had extra linens in our car. When we wanted to check out at 6:30am, no one was manning the front desk. Finally , after 10 minutes, someone came in from the parking lot. There was a young man on the 3rd floor sitting at the end of the hall for at least 2 hours, which is when we went to sleep. A couple doors to darken rooms were ajar late at night. Are rooms being rented out by the hour off the books?

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is clean. It doesn't smell, the carpets are not dirty. I booked in a no smoking room I don't smell cigarettes (even in the hall). I don't smell animals either Which I almost expected.. I have a service animal myself. I actually don't hear Dogs barking either. Nor can I hear through the walls. The room was pleasantly decorated with some innovatIve lighting choices. The bathroom is nicely appointed and seems that of a 4 or 5 star hotel. I wish I could find a hotel like this everywhere I go, I've paid a lot more for a lot less.

Room smells of heavy smoker use. Unable to sleep as the Air conditioner turns on every 60 seconds and sounds like you have a very loud pkup truck running in your room. Toilet squeals after flushing. Room key never worked even after exchanging and having maintenance checking in out. Beds are soft and uncomfortable. Won’t recommend staying here.

  • 3/5 Ben C. 1 year ago on Google
It was a decent hotel to get some sleep but the beds had some type of metal frame that makes pounding sound when you roll over. The breakfast was mediocre. Very dry biscuits and gravy, fruit juice that is not real juice, sugary cereal. A little pricey for what it is.

  • 1/5 Deva S. 1 year ago on Google
Dirty. Malodorous. The towels smelled like.... something. Ugh. The shower had hair in it. The linens smelled used...Definitely not clean. The hallways smelled terrible. Really unacceptable.

  • 1/5 Patricia S. 11 months ago on Google
No words - worst experience we ever had with a hotel! The entire room was incredibly dirty, surfaces were sticky and stained, curtains came off and AC smelled rotten. Had two nights planned and left after one. Only stayed at all because nothing else was available in town due to an event. Would not recommend!

BEDBUGS!!, run down room, and carpet was NASTY. Asked for a refund, don’t do refunds only switch rooms. He told me this was the first time. I read the newest reviews after seeing the room. He responded with they left the reviews out of spite and they weren’t true. HA!! My 2nd room on the 3rd floor was better. Remote didn’t work for tv, light switch didn’t work, and trash behind nightstand. It’ll soon have bedbugs as I’m sure I tracked them from the first room… Left after the first night and ate the $70 loss

Have stayed a number of times as it's a halfway point to our daughter's. Clean, well maintained and inexpensive. The free breakfast has suffered from inflation with fewer options but overall a good experience.

  • 1/5 Rebekka J. 1 year ago on Google
The only positive thing was that we were warm over night. Dirty room, stains on the bathroom wall, moldy pillows, horrible breakfast bar option (not even coffee or juice, milk or something to toast). The whole place is being renovated but it’s not an excuse for absent service and a really poor room. This is like my first apartment in college….
