This place is hoppin! I was passing by and had to stop(I'm from La.)...but couldn't get in so I ordered boudin balls appetizer!

Bakers is the anchor store, there was a Hallmark store, a pizza pub,an Indian restaurant, a nail salon, my hair salon and then there are many many choices for restaurants around the edges.

It's a little hard to get to the Shoppes At Lakeside, but they have some good restaurants, and shops that make it worth it.

Hmm where to start with the disappointment? May as well start with the beer choices. They were dismal to say the least! We chose Boudin Balls, Gumbo and Jambalaya. I had heard the Bouidin Balls were delicious and they were not. The gumbo was bland and honestly just tastes like your run of the mill bean soup. The Jambalaya was very dry and the taste was eh! I don't get the rage about this place. The only thing good about this place is the name. Mouth of the South is marketing genius, but unless they improve the food, I feel they'll only get people who are attracted by the name and not return. One other thing that was good was the service. We had a very good waitress. A huge thank you to our waitress for providing great service.
