Zorinsky Lake Recreational area is owned by the City of Omaha and maintained by the Army Corp of Engineers. Zorinsky is one of the gems of Omaha. The lake is spring fed and clean. Its a great place for fishing, kayaking and swimming(in the beach area only). The trails around Zorinsky are good for biking and hiking but it does tend to get quite crowded on nice days. A small but cute park in the middle of Omaha. Just to the south is a elementary school as well. There is even a sculpture just to the northeast of the park that is made from the twisted metal of that very school from when it was hit by a tornado in the 1970's

This place is not necessarily accessible for people in wheelchairs or other handicap devices. They do have ramps that go down to a playground but some of the equipment is not handi-friendly. There are 2 swings that could be used, but only if someone has upper body strength to hold on. There are plenty of picnic tables that are handi-freindly. There is a merr-go-round, but again only if someone has upper body strength. We could do better.

My kids enjoyed going through the tunnel. The paintings inside aren't horribly covered in graffiti. Merry go round was the biggest hit.

A fantastic barrier free playground that is and safe for children and families. Be careful getting in the road is narrow and one way in places.

Great place for a family picnic. In the summer they have a barrier free park that has some water feature.

Beautiful paved trail around a lake. Weaves in and out of tree cover.
