One of the best spots in Omaha. First off, this is one of the coolest places to visit in Omaha. You walk in, and see 80s theming everywhere. One of my favorite movies of all time is Rocky, and the Italian Stallion has a couple really cool banners up. I thought you’d have to stalk up on quarters, but all the arcade games are completely free to play. Ask one of the bartenders, and you can even play original Nintendo games for free on one of the many tv areas they have here. Perfect for boosting your drunk video gaming skills. Around 10 the place starts to really pickup, and by 11 it’s packed! It transforms from a cool 80s bar to a packed club with a DJ and security. The crowd is kind of a mix of college kids up to older adults, I’d say a pretty normal club scene. Also, I didn’t know Omaha had this many good looking girls! They’ve got some pretty good barbecue food, but you have to go up to their kitchen to order it and not the bar. The macaroni and cheese with sweet pulled pork on top killed my New Years resolution diet. As far as prices and cover go, it’s actually probably one of the more economical clubs to drink at. I think beers were about $5 each, and mixed drinks $6, much less than my tab at the Majestic movie theater in town. Upstairs, they’ve got a really cool rooftop bar complete with some really fun outdoor games. I might not be an expert at corn hole, but at least I can blame it on the really cool smoking shots the bartenders gave me. Ask for “dry ice” shots. Overall, I’d say this is one of the best spots in Omaha. If you’re new in town and looking for a fun spot to drink and play throwback arcade games, or looking to tear up Saturday night until the wee hours of the morning and find the love of your life, I’d say this is your spot.

This place is terrible. $10 cover and very limited game selection. Came with $40 and I paid cover for 2 people and bought 1 beer and 3 shots and I had $3 left. The only good thing I can say is they had a cool dance floor. I honestly don't know how this place stays open since it just seems like a quick cash grab. I honestly would've had more respect for this place if they gave their bouncers guns and had them say "Give me all your money". This place only has a 3.9 star review because I found evidence their staff is leaving reviews. If you go here, you've been warned. Consider taking out a 2nd mortgage.

We booked a VIP section for 10 people for my boyfriends birthday through the website which said it included entry and VIP wristbands for 5 people per bottle. When we arrived, they charged all of our guest including my boyfriend and I a $20 cover charge on top of the $623.00 bill for 2 bottles. We asked for the manager and voiced our concerns she said she would check for "clarification" and come back and let us know but she never came back to let us know anything. Next time I would like to book a VIP section I will book with a more honest business. I will not be spending money with Throwbacks anymore, very dishonest way of doing business.

Cool dance floor but needed to be dimmed a little. If the lighting was dimmer it would have made the place pop. DJ was average and the mix was sub par. I was expecting great throwback 80s music....well if he would have played the entire song it might have been better. I DJd during the 80s so I may know a thing or two. Getting frisked on the way in didn't start the night off too comfortably either. Waitresses wearing sill skimpy one piece leotards was a turn off. I felt uncomfortable the entire time. Only cool thing was the dance floor....which was too bright. It you are under 30 then you may like this sort of thing. West Omaha's version plays the 80s music better but even that was too loud. Oh well. I need to go take a nap now 😉

This is an 80s themed bar with arcade machines, a large bar and a dance floor. I was told they have a nice patio but I did not check that out. Inside it was clean... with a lot of black lights and screens. Around 9pm a live dj came in.. Had issues at the front door when we came in. The owner did come over to apologize for the security team after. They have dry ice drinks that bubble which make for nice instagram drinks. Service was polite and generally friendly.

This is TRULY the best VIP Experience of the Nightlife in Omaha! Amazing Bar, Cocktail and Bottle Service, unique drinks and just an overall amazing experience! I felt like i was at the Roxbury back in the Hollywood! Definitely booking a section with them for my next VIP Section!

I've gone to throwback several times and always had a blast. Recently, I was planning a bachelorette party and decided to do the VIP bottle service. I was surprised to realize the VIP bottle service while being hundreds of dollars included making your own drinks and having to ask for refills of mixers that had sat empty for quite awhile. I would not recommend this experience to another group.

Overall, great owner, staff, and atmosphere. Disregard what you've read about the liquor license issue. They operate a bar. Surprise! Sometimes intoxicated individuals do stupid things. It can happen at any bar anywhere in the world. Then again, and to be fair, I have noticed that one or two of the security staff tend to just permanently wear a grimace on their face for some reason (needed more hugs from Dad back in the day?). Might recommend some customer service training for the team, as noone wants to hang out at a nightclub only to be stared down by a bouncer. Wouldn't be surprised if this poor demeanor spurred some of the previous negative interactions between customers & bouncers. However, if you want a hang out spot to game for free on retro arcade cabinets & secure a position on the High Score Leaderboards (each cabinet actually has like 50+ different games to choose from), solid bar staff that are professional not only in their trade, but also shine bright with very welcoming personalities, and the best looking patrons in Omaha; then this is the place for you... and your friends... and their friends...etc... :) You get the point. It's really small and has barely any sitting room if you don't pay to reserve a section. The drinks are okay. It's nice for throwback nights or when you want to dance😊 I do not like the fact they charge a cover on the weekend but a lot of places do anymore.

This is THE premier 80s themed downtown hot spot. The staff is knowledgeable and very professional. They offer VIP bottle service, like no other - very much a Vegas style atmosphere and the dance floor is crazy cool! I highly recommend checking it out!

The atmosphere is great! Lots of mixed generation uses with the DJs who are out of touch with current music. For a club with a Dance floor the sound quality is my biggest complaint. They place has a decent mix of music but the sound is flat and sounds like a Bluetooth speaker is playing music for the whole club. I asked the DJ why the music was so flat and he replied “management made us turn down the bass.” Seems like a highschool dance for the price you pay.

The building is so aesthetically appealing. From the outside with the patio chairs to enjoy the weather, all the way to the dance floor being a vibrant and a place to get loose. The staff is very welcoming. I love the drinks as they all have a special candy/item that comes inside. My friends come to have fun, play games, and eat. Sometimes we have so much fun we forget to go home when it’s time. The food is also great with a black chef!

Throwback is the perfect place to go for a girls night out! They have ladies night Thursdays and Salsa night Sundays! Haven’t made it out for ladies night yet but me and a few friends went to salsa night and had a blast! The atmosphere is amazing and the bartenders are all super nice! If you haven’t stopped by yet, you definitely should! The music selection is phenomenal.

One of Thorwback's bouncers denied me entry due to a "can on their premise." Throwback's itself looks very entertaining The bouncer denying me entry because I walked near the premise with a can and that automatically denied my entry. I'm sorry but if this is the kind of culture you want to instill around your establishment then I would not be able recommend this place to anyone. This was the main gripe I had with the experience, due to one of the bouncers who was completely unreasonable. I have never had such an inconvenience due to holding a drink around a premise. My problems with the establishment are solely through who they employee on their bouncing staff as various employees are completely incompetent and ruin the appeal of the venue.

We went for the NYE party so things might be different on a regular night. Upstairs outside patio was closed so this review isn't for that area. The staff was friendly, with quick service. The environment seemed fairly clean and the look of the place and drinks were all great. I have been to a couple different arcade bars. This one had free games which was a nice surprise but very limited amount of games outside the VIP area. We enjoyed Ms. Pacman and other games on the consoles but we thought there would be more like different pinball machines etc so we could drink, dance, and play games but that isn't the case. With it being NYE all the tables were reserved and really limited the space available to non-VIP guests.. There was almost no place to sit and unfortunately almost no place to stand. The games available to everyone were surrounding the bar so as it filled in it was weird trying to play the games and was really awkward to have so many people standing around with so many tables empty nearby (early in the night). There was a lot about this place we liked but I would not recommend it for someone wanting to play arcade games and drink. We did decide to leave early at 9pm. The awkwardness of everyone standing in the way of the staff making them have to walk on the empty dance floor to get around while tables were empty was too much for me. Seems like a great place to dance and when more tables are open along with the patio might be a fantastic place. For NYE it sounded so fun but didn't work out for us.

We have had an amazing time every visit. I came here for my 21st birthday, my bachelorette, my husband's 22nd birthday and several other occasions. This is my absolute favorite bar in downtown Omaha. Bri is my favorite bartender she's been here for several of my visits, typically on the rooftop and she's so sweet. Definitely visit her!

Throwback has taken over downtown Omaha! I was there for the New Year’s eve party and let’s just say I’m already ready for Next Year!!! They have dry ice shots that come out smoking and speciality drinks that are sooooo delicious. Try the Nerds drink it comes with a nerd rope candy i never knew drinks could be so good. The VIP experience rocks! Makes me feel like i’m in Vegas! If you haven’t been I tots recommend enjoying your weekend there the DJs are great!

Great 80’s and 90’s themed club! I love seeing the old arcade games and the best part is it’s free to play! Bartenders and cocktail waitresses were really friendly and I love the gourmet hot dogs that they sell. Will definitely be back!

This place is such a VIBE, I checked out the website and looked super fun for all my friends to go out and have some fun. I didn’t see any Janga or Beer Pong though, all the men that were with me mainly came to play beer pong but we didn’t see it anywhere. Not sure if that’s a seasonal thing but would be awesome to have for guys who don’t like to dance. Other than that I would go again!!

Went during Latino Friday nights. The place was dead around 11:30pm. The gambling machines are retro and feel homemade.

We had an amazing time ! We reserved a section for my husband birthday and it was everything we could have asked for. The bottle girls were extremely polite. We ordered 3 bottles and each time they brought us our bottles with the same energy and excitement. Our server checked up on us periodically. Answered our questions honestly and made sure we had a good time. 1000/10 recommended for any occasion of celebration.

My wife and I went here with some good friends when we got engaged. Richie welcomed us and was very kind and professional. We enjoyed the drinks, the atmosphere, and overall, the service. A great time indeed and will absolutely come back again.

Delicious signature cocktails and good mix of 80s and modern music made for a wonderful night of dancing. Best thing to happen in 2020.

Such an epic vibe when you walk in. Free arcade games, some really amazing staff, delicious drinks, great music, one of a kind dance floor, they even have gourmet hot dogs!! One thing I can’t wait to try out is the bottle service in the VIP booths. My friends and I will definitely be booking a party very soon.

Throwback lounge is the club to be at in Omaha. It’s a great experience. The 80’s vibe is sick. It has a ton of 80’s memorabilia. The staff is wonderful. It has a spectacular VIP section where you feel like a celebrity. Definitely recommend coming to throwback.

This was such an awesome place! They have a bar and games like beer pong, corn hole, and Jenga to play on the roof. Downstairs in the booth that we had they had video games! The ladies that work there were so so friendly! The drinks were delicious, and the bartenders were very helpful in helping pick drinks. I attended the soft opening of throwback arcade lounge and I can tell that it will be a great success in the downtown district of Omaha for locals and visitors. The concept is pretty simple- it can be a little bit of everything and fills a niche in the downtown space. Whether you’re looking for a casual night playing arcade games and Nintendo with friends, enjoy a summer evening on a rooftop lounge, or you want to have bottle service and a hot dance floor for a special occasion- this place has it all. Unlike many clubs and lounges they also will have a snack bar for food- Perfect to soak up your alcohol before you head home for the night. The music selection here is also great- if you grew up in the 80s and beyond there will be music here that you like. Everything from Prince and Madonna to Cardi B and Beyoncé. As long as they can provide good clean service to the city of Omaha they will do so well here!
