Just to clear up any confusion, this happened at the West Omaha Scissors & Scotch. I was there for a cut and color on Friday morning July 8. Stylist said: "They scheduled my next appointment too soon so I can only leave your hair dye in for 15 minutes." (Instead of the required 30-40 minutes.) As a result the color did not really take. I didn't realize this till I got home or I would've insisted on speaking to a manager. Stylist also didn't ask how I wanted my hair cut and just basically cut it all off, working as fast as she could. The emphasis here is on getting you in & out of the chair as fast as possible to cut as many heads as possible. It's quantity over quality. I wish I could give the place zero stars. I am highly skeptical of all these glowing reviews which, frankly, all sound like they were written by the same person.

Great place and friendly staff. Been here twice. The membership option is interesting but they don’t seem to have one just for beard/facial hair care. Website could better explain the membership options and what you get with each one. It would be nice to have a little bio on each stylist/barber. Prices seem a bit high, but considering they include a free drink with your appointment, it evens out fairly well. Would be really awesome if they added massage service.

This place is great! Love the atmosphere and would say they specialize in men's hair so they do a amazing job.

I honestly hate getting my hair cut. I've been to chain shops and barbers in Chicago, Wichita, Charlotte, Albany, and Omaha. I don't think my hair is that hard to cut, or that my preferences are in any way anything but "common." So I'm constantly amazed at how much effort I have to make to get it done well and then have to go home and fix it myself anyway. Went here today for the first time though and... it was just nice. Emily absolutely nailed it. I told her what I've typically liked, but gave her the freedom to do what she thought looked good. She asked some thoughtful questions along the way. Otherwise I got to just sit there and actually relax while it happened. And I absolutely LOVE what she did. It's more or less my normal cut, but it hasn't looked this good in years! "Boss man" Dillon was super easy to chat with for a minute. Madeline and Katie in the bar area were so pleasant and engaging. It was such a good experience that I signed up for the membership on the spot and actually look forward to getting my next cut. I've NEVER felt that way before. Great job to everyone there! I look forward to the next time 🙂

We were in need of a new place for my tween son to get a haircut, and we are incredibly pleased with our experience! They stylist took time to work with his hair and show him how to style it. He feels super confident!

After discussing my difficulties with my 2.5 year adventure in growing my hair out I decided to get my haircut with Hannah W. at the West Omaha location and couldn’t be happier. She did a fantastic job & knocked it out of the park. She asked me if she could put a braid in it and I said “go ahead, have fun with it!” Loved her suggestion to take 2” off the back and do a fade and the braid look…..I may just learn how to braid it myself now! I will certainly be booking with her again. Give this place a try and enjoy a glass of Bourbon while you wait or afterwards. 5 star experience all around with the basic “10 year” service!

Becki did an amazing job! This was my first time here and it was quite an experience. Her patience, attention to detail, going above and beyond to perfect your cut, shave and even a non-painful eyebrow wax. Not to mention you can have a glass of bourbon or scotch at the bar in the afternoon and not have it be frowned upon! Highly recommended.

First timer, and it was phenomenal. I was hesitant before because of the price, but after my first experience , they are leaps and bounds better than anyone else around. They do amazing work and have a high attention to detail! Shout out to Melanie, my barber, for explaining everything to me, never had some of the services they offer before, and they were great! The complimentary drink is fantastic too, they have an impressive assortment of bourbons. Great music as well. Honestly, the entire experience is one you won’t experience anywhere else, if you’re not sure where to go, scissors and scotch is the place for you. Phenomenal work!!

great service and cut. sat at the bar as I arrived a little early. As Maddi was in the process of making an Old Fashioned, my stylist came in a touch early. Maddi tabled my order, went to get my cut and shampoo, came back and Maddi picked up where she left off. Outstanding atmosphere and service!!

I recently moved from the mountains of Montana. As such I had the mountain man hair and beard going. It looked something akin to a birds nest meets 70 MPH gusts. I didn't want random people giving me their loose change anymore. Now living back in the city I was in desperate need to appear socially acceptable. I did a Google search for Men's Haircuts, and Scissors & Scotch had high reviews and a lot of them. I was able to book an appointment and get in the following day. Overall the experience took about 45 minutes and did not disappoint. Hannah W. was my stylist and her sense of humor was awesome and styled me up nicely. It was pretty busy so it seems I am not the only customer with a positive experience.

I always had good experiences here, but today, my appointment was canceled with no notification. I even confirmed the appointment last night. I moved two meetings to make time and needed the cut before flying out for meetings this week. Girl at the desk acted like she couldn't have cared less and was dismissive. Sucks that now I have to find a new place.

Good overall experience. The beard sculpt was well done. I also enjoyed the bar and the smoked Brickway Rye Old Fashioned.

I went for the first time to Scissors & Scotch today, and John cut my hair. I wanted to try it out before I considered doing a membership. Half way in to my session I had already decided, due to John’s attention and unbelievably positive and happy disposition, that I was definitely getting a membership! John was amazing and the environment was so different than any place else I had ever been. Everyone I had contact with was amazing. Glad I went, and now I’ll always go back!

Just an all around excellent place to go for a haircut. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. Very relaxed atmosphere where you can go grab a drink while you wait or grab one after your cut. Either way is cool with them.

I’ve been coming to Scissors and Scotch for 4 years now. I felt like most places locally just did not have a clue how to properly care for men’s hair or give a good experience. The stylists there have always been attentive and take their time to get the cut right. The atmosphere is always chill. I love being able to get a drink afterward, they make a killer old fashioned. I see Molli out at the West location and she does an amazing job every single time.

This was my first visit with S&S and I can see why it has such high reviews, Gabby was definitely one of those reasons! She listened to what I wanted done, but I gave her leeway on how much of my beard to trim and how to style it. She was a wonderful conversationist, and she took the time to explain the options she had and what product she was using. The end result was amazing, and I'm to look this impressive for the wedding I'm attending.

I had a great experience going to Scissors and Scotch in West Omaha. They were great to work with, listened to what I wanted, and made changes when I asked for them. The shop is well maintained, has great and friendly staff, and I always enjoy a free drink after I get my haircut. I will be going back in the future when I need another cut.

Today is my 20th wedding anniversary and my wife wanted me looking good. This was my first time here and couldn’t be happier and more importantly, my wife is happy. It was a wonderful experience and Melanie couldn’t have done a better job. She really is the best and Scissors & Scotch have earned a customer for life.

Had to find a new place after moving to Omaha. Prices seemed a bit steep but decided to try it out based on reviews and wanting to find someone who could do more than a basic "sports" walk-in cut. Was more than impressed with the style/cut and the free drink was an added bonus. Will be a repeat customer.

My first and an enjoyable experience. I sometimes struggle communicating how I'd like my cut, but Emily listened and delivered what I very likely described poorly. As a first time to Scissors & Scotch, I took advantage of the discount for initial visit and added waxing too. Razor on the neck nape is great and finishing out with a classy bar drink made me feel like I'm finally enjoying some high class service.

Very nice facility, super clean, from what I saw every stylist is very talented. Shatawna did a great job, didn’t feel like everything was getting rushed through to get me out of the door sooner or anything like that, she took her time and everything looks great. Also the free drink was nice.

Went in for a haircut and a beard trim - I have to say, this place is special. From getting served Vegas quality cocktails to the general customer love everyone is dishing out - this is so much more than a salon that knows how to treat people. I came to S&S for the first time last week since I’ll be getting married January 7th! Whoop!! Regardless, I was pretty concerned with how my haircut would turn out but I was assured and reassured everything would be great and it was indeed! The staff was very inviting and well informed about everything they had to offer so much so that it resulted with me getting a membership (especially since I don’t cut my hair enough ha!). I have my second appointment January 6th for a beard sculpting and can’t be more excited! I dread getting my haircut but they have made it quite the experience to look forward to. Haircut was for my 14 year old son. He got the full treatment and said it was the best haircut experience he’s ever had. Loved the hand dip and scalp massage. Wants to make sure John is his new full time stylist! All the while I sit in the bar and drink away the pain of being follicly challenged.

Staff was extremely nice, professional, and caring! For your first time, they offer you a discount. Also, for all of us veterans, they give you a discount as well. I can't say enough good things about this place, because it's that good. The experience....just awesome! They definitely will be getting my business again. Worth every penny you spend here.

Great place to get your men's grooming done. Service includes a beverage of your choice at their bar. Each of the ladies who have completed my service we're wonderful. I'd recommend this place for all men, young men, growing men. Do be mindful, it's not a sports clips so don't expect to let their place for 10 bucks. Enjoy the experience and teach your young men to properly care for themselves.

I just had my second haircut at the West Omaha site. Overall, it's been an excellent experience. Everyone I've interacted with has been professional, but Hannah W has been especially thoughtful and very meticulous with my hair. The bar is a relaxing twist, and definitely adds to the experience.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I was early and had an old fashion while I waited. The staff was ultra friendly. I also had an IPA and a mule. I was feeling mighty fine prior to my haircut. The lady who cut my hair was such a nice person and did a terrific job on my haircut. I would recommend going here. You won't be disappointed.

I went to this place a couple months ago. Right when I got in they were going to wash my head first. The employee didn’t even feel the water before they put it all over my head. It was scorching hot. Probably the most hot I’ve felt in my life and I’m not exaggerating. It was hotter than my tap water and shower water goes for sure. I told them to turn it down colder after 5-6 seconds when I realized I couldn’t take it anymore. I then got my haircut, it hurt very much every time they touched my head with how hot the water was previously and it ruined the entire experience. The haircut was pretty decent. The next day my entire head still hurt from how hot the water was and I’m convinced I got some sort of first degree burn. I wouldn’t recommend coming here but if it is one of your only options make sure you ask for cold water before.

I stopped in today to get a haircut. I’ve had the same barber for 2 years but he hasn’t had availability the last 2 weeks so decided to go here. Emily not only did a great job but was very personable and attentive to what I wanted. Because of her I will be going here instead of my old barber even though it is more money per haircut, but it is worth every penny. Emily is awesome.

I am giving four stars because through no fault of S&S, I was unable to stay for the drink. I called with 2 hrs notice before the requested appt time and was quickly accommodated. Melanie is a confident perfectionist at her craft. While in her chair just relax and be prepared to enjoy a good shave. The benefits of the hot towels, oil and after shave lingers and is a pleasant feeling. This visit was my first shave after a month of wilderness camping and hunting. If i have to rejoin civilization, this is a good first step.

Didn’t know this place existed till recently. I’ve never had my beard professionally trimmed. Everything inside is so clean and nice touches.
