👍 Great coffee but they need to knock it off with the tipping already. They want a tip for you going into their retail store and purchasing their products. I don’t get it. It’s really tacky. People often mention coffee, beans, staff, time, great, Great, order, fresh, service, good,

December 10, 2020 UPDATE: Greetings from Tennessee! Another fast and professional order from the team at A Hill of Beans. I've ordered many times over the years and each and every order has came in the exact same week as I ordered. Always fresh and delicious! December 13, 2018 UPDATE: 10-Star Review - Still the best coffee in the United States! I've ordered from them on numerous occasions over the past 7-years (since I found them) and 100% of the time I'm completely happy with their service, kindness, and delivery speed. Who else sends you a nice card in your coffee order?!?!?! I'll be back! Original Review: I have been ordering coffee here over the past several years, making numerous transactions and each time the standard shipping to Tennessee is VERY fast. To me, this shows that they are consistent with getting their orders shipped the same day the order is placed, which shows they care - I appreciate that! The coffee is always delicious and nicely packaged. Best coffee EVER!

Normally we visit the store 2-3 times a year and spend a couple hundred in the year. Never noticed the little green check mark on the Covid page that said curbside only. Drove 100 miles back home with our curbside coffee and most likey will not drive that again. Grrrrr....

I've been going here for at least 2 years and every experience is the same: wonderful. I buy my beans here and always call ahead to place the order so I can just run in, grab it, and pay. The employees are always friendly and helped us find our perfect bean/grind for our needs.

This is the only place I'll buy coffee from to brew at home. The drinks sold in store are also great. I recommend the London Fog, but everything I've had is great.

Always love trying their seasonal flavored coffee, but their single origin beans are incredible, too. 🫘

First time here, everyone was so friendly and nice, they seem very knowledgeable as well. There is a very large selection of both flavored, and varietal coffee blends. I really like the fact that you can get just a quarter pound of beans, for a very reasonable price, which makes it easy to try multiple different blends without having to buy a whole 16oz bag of each. Very pleased overall, I'll definitely be back to try more

friendly staff, good unique choices of beans and a section where the beans are stored in jars so you can smell them individually; due to how many choices there are though the whole shop smells and hurts the nose after a while. whole bean prices posted at the counter picked out creme brulee and heavenly delight

** I got a message from Google that people look at this review. Im giving an update since this was from 2018. I love this place even more. They did some updating. You have to try the smell shelf!. I have used online ordering at all hours of the night, and that is another bonus. My newest hobby is to buy a little of their seasonals and even give as gifts. My first review stands, except i love this place even more.* FIRST REVIEW: What a wonderful place. I went in to spend gift certificates I got for Christmas. Took a friend with me and boy, we had a good time! The staff was outstanding. We "bought" 6 1/4 oz blends of their favored specials. The place smells amazing. Everything is so clean and neat. I will drive across town to got back again.

This place is very professional and nice to see happy employees. They have quite the selection. We’ve been grinding our beans at home so finding a place that sells whole beans is amazing. I had it shipped once when I was low and I got it the next day. Great customer service and great people. I will only getting our beans from here now!

I live near the business and every payday I walk over to celebrate. Good beans and good drinks - I appreciate that they both have varietal and flavored beans. Dave's Blend is my recommendation! The staff has always been kind each time I'm in no matter who's working. Always good to see a local roaster succeed!

My brother-in-law brought some coffee from Hill of Beans for our Thanksgiving weekend. What can I say?? It was so delicious that I am getting ready to order some to have it shipped to me here in TN. The smell will drive you wild. It reminds me of real coffee from the 80's coffee houses...pre-Starbucks and big chain coffee. This is a REAL coffee roaster. Highly recommend!!

I finally found a place to get GOOD, fresh, quality roasted coffee beans. Excellent selection from some of the best world coffee regions. And you can buy only a little at a time, so you can always have fresh on hand. No more off the shelf store beans that have been sitting for who knows how long.

Update: after talk to someone in charge, they were really sorry for the experience and offer me few options to make it up. Really appreciate the gesture. Update my rating to 3 stars instead. Hope that they could pay more attention to detail further on. I really like the beans here because it’s fresh and have a lot of flavors than other places. But the lack of detail becomes a huge issue. Today I ordered by phone, and drove there got them. When I open my order bag at home and try to put those beans away, found out they gave me 4 oz beans than what I ordered which is 8oz and charged me with 8oz price and when I call back, they are already closed. This is not the first time it happened. I got miss bag of beans or miss flavor but charged the same price I ordered, so I have to drive back 20+ mins to get what they mess up! Do I have to check every time I got my order in front of cashier? This is just so stressful to be honest. Hope the issue is addressed.

Love the quality of beans. Very disappointed in hours of operation and lack of convenience in getting their great product.

I have been stopping here for ground coffee every other week for the past couple years and have never had a bad experience! Staff is always knowledgeable and pleasant! I request a flavor mix every time that is not always on their menu and the staff is always willing to accommodate the request with a smile even when it's probably an annoyance. Their snickerdoodle muffins are amazing if you get a chance to try one!

The coffee is excellent, both the beans and the freshly brewed stuff at the counter. Our favorite variety is the Serengeti Blend. It’s a good robust flavor that tastes a little dark, but it’s much more approachable and less smoky than French roast or espresso roast.

Really like this place. They have a small area where you can order coffee drinks, and sell roasted coffee. They also more recently started providing beans to a place in aksarben and had previously provided the coffee to le peep. Products are reasonably priced so I have no complaints.

In my experience, only a few roaster in Omaha meet my expectation in quality of the coffee bean. So far the only place that I go to to buy Beans for espresso drink is the Rally Coffee. The rockbrook espresso roast is between medium and dark but more of leaning toward the medium but still dark if you know what I mean. I was very impress. The crema was very pretty and even produce tiger stripes looking crema. The taste seemed to be between medium and dark roast but this time, it is leaning toward dark but not "TOO" dark. I would definitely choose this as a spot to buy espresso beans beside the "rally coffee". I would say they both nailed the espresso quality tho. I have not visit this store to be exact so I dont know what is their customer service is like but love to visit soon I would also like their coffee bag to be design to be more attracted and fun but its just a cosmetic thing. I would be down to design their packaging (im a designer) LOL. Beside that, there is no roast date on the package so it is hard to know when to expect the bean to be expire. Also The weight number need to be larger. I also see that a customer complained about how inaccurate the weight can be so im a little nervous. Hopefully this is just a one time thingy.

1000/10 coffee roasters. Flavors are amazing and I moved from Nebraska to Indiana and I'm still buying from them! They ship anywhere without any upcharge for 3lb + orders, just pay shipping. I will always be a customer as long as this store exists.

The staff is always knowledgeable and makes great recommendations based on your interests and preferences. If you’re a casual coffee drinker, it may not be worth the $, but if you have a fairly developed palate for coffee, it’s worth the investment in fresh roasted beans!

Was looking forward to trying this place out. Beautiful interior scenery, but no bathrooms. Truly disappointing, I ended up getting coffee next door at Starbucks/family fair, so that my 3 year old could use bathroom..

Incredible beans!! I used to only drink coffee with creamer and a bit of sugar. After I grabbed some Hill of Beans on reference from a friend, I have switched to the dark side! No creamer necessary. So much flavor! A few of my favorite flavors are: Vanilla Buttercream Chocolate Turtle Highland Grog Blueberry Cobbler (so glad I tried it) Irish Cream (I think thats what it's called)

Little piece of heaven when I walk in and smell the aroma of coffee beans. I just got vanilla buttercream and amaretto. I mix the two for an amazing cup of coffee. You can also get blended coffee drinks that I would highly recommend. Great service, and knowledgeable staff always happy to help you find the perfect flavor. :)
