Came in today looking for a new pup for our family. I fell in love with one, asked a staff member about pricing . I was informed this pup had a heart condition and I wasn’t qualified to purchase the dog. I was told “that they will only sell the dog to the right person”. Apparently I didn’t fit the bill because I was instantly turned down. I asked if the dog would require medication or special care, and at that point the employee had already had her mind made up. Oddly enough 3 of dogs in extended family are from this shop. Over 10 years my in-laws and siblings have all gone in and on impulse left with a new pup. That is exactly what would have happened today. Very disappointed to say I will never steep foot in your shop again and I’ll be sure to let everyone know about the experience I had today.

Boarding area staff is wonderful. Our dogs are always excited when they see where we are going. The groomers..one in particular female .has no place working on senior dogs! She traumatized our Shepherd to the point of going to the bathroom several times from the stress. Known because of the call I received from the pet hotel staff. Customer service in the store area needs serious improvement. Majority of the store employees are gloomy, and put out, and act like they are doing forced slave labor. Get a different job you hate it that much!

Called to find out how much a dog was they were advertising, and got the response "we don't give out pricing over the phone". Okay. That's a little strange in this day and age, but whatever. I told him I wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting my time and get there to find out the dog is thousands of dollars to which the response was "all of our puppies are between $1000 and $5000 dollars". That saved me a trip. Adopt pets, don't buy from places like this.

I went there to take a look at the animals and saw a rabbit in with the guinea pigs. I asked a worker if that was a mistake because rabbits should NEVER be with guinea pigs as they can carry diseases harmful to guineas and can kill them with a single buck; and she said she didnt know and another older worker came and asked if we needed anything and i asked if the rabbit could move to the other enclosure with the other rabbits and she said they were fine. I then asked if she could at least add another hide since the rabbit took up the entire hide that was in there. There weren’t even any toys in the enclosure to keep them occupied; same with the other guinea pig enclosure. Once again she said they were fine and acted super rude and ignorant. I dropped it as not to cause issues, but this really frustrated and irritated me because they were putting their animals at risk of potentially death and would not do a thing to fix it

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is absolutely disgusting and whoever is running this company is a HORRIBLE person. They must actually hate animals. The dogs and cats are living in such horrible conditions and if people don’t purchase them they will eventually just get sick and die there. Most of the dogs are already 4-6 months old and they are charging 2k + for each dog. Every cage was full and all the dogs are extremely sad. Please if there is someone out there that could get these animals in good homes and shut this place down please do it. I wish I could be that person to save all those animals and see that place never be able to sell an animal ever again. They are not shoes. They do not deserve to be put on display till they are purchased. This place is filled with DISGUSTING people who hate animals.

Walked in looking for a puppy, for under $500. It was my first time looking for a dog. I understand $500 isn't too much for a dog, a good pure breed. but the way that the OWNER approached me, she sounded offended. She could have just said, oh I am so sorry, we don't have anything in that price range. Instead she told me to go look at the local humane society, but, she said it in a way that it came off very rude, making me instantly uncomfortable in that store. just the tone that she used with me, It made me feel a little broke/poor. And also super annoyed because there cheapest dogs are like $3,000 and it only goes up from there. I know a few people who have went through them, they have great dogs, its just the pricing and up charging, that gets you, it seems like they would love to take advantage of you, just please, be careful. -AM

My friend purchased a Cocker Spaniel there and it turned out to be the best dog! She looked healthy when she bought her and it’s been a great experience! Some dogs get sick and not all look the greatest on these situations. Some don’t look very good when store obtains them. It’s not their fault. I’m not saying this store is perfect, but we had a perfect encounter with them!

Pretty cool pet store with a big selection of pets, accessories, foods, and health supplies for your pets. There is a wide variety of different dog, rabbit, bird, fish, and reptile breeds to choose from. Most of the animals are in open pens so you can reach in and pet them! I wouldn't recommend going over to look at the dogs unless you bring enough money to buy them all because you'll want to! The staff was friendly and seemed to really care about the health of the animals in their care! Only knock I can give the place would be on the prices of the dogs. Other than that it was a cool store.

They do have super cute animals. But it doesn’t seem like they get treated so well:( I understand some bettas do jump out but maybe find a way to cover it? So they aren’t in damn near 3 oz of water. PLEASE DO BETTER.

We found a Bernadoodle puppy that we were interested in and called to see if they would take a little less for the puppy. The guy that answered said the prices are set by the breeder and wouldn't even try asking the breeder if they would take our offer. Last time I checked a sale is a sale and worth at least asking but the guy working there is just to lazy to do his job and at least ask, why because he makes more if it sells for more. Instead they would rather let what will be a good size dog in a few more weeks sit in the small space instead of try and get it sold to a loving home with space. Terrible customer service on that, which is sad considering how much we buy from this place. Maybe if they were less lazy and did some customer service they would make even more sales than they do do now.

Saw a chinchilla living in a tiny glass box with only a hole the size of a quarter to breathe out of. No hay, dirty water bottle and a cut on his face. I asked a younger female employee with mid length hair to hold him and she said she wouldn’t touch him, he was mean, he bites. I purchased him to get him out of those horrible conditions and despite how badly he was treated he is the sweetest, most gentle chinchilla I’ve ever had. You probably shouldn’t hire people who hate animals to work at a pet store. I hope this place will treat their animals better..

I have had mixed experiences here. On multiple occasions I have tried asking questions about some of the animals (birds and puppys) and was completely dismissed and frankly the older lady that works there was RUDE AS HELL. We went one last time (3rd times the charm) the younger lady that helped us with looking at puppy's was amazing and kind. If it wasn't for her we would never return. I didn't catch her name but thank you for giving us better customer service!!

this place knows nothing about animal care, they are known to buy puppies from unlicensed breeders and puppy mills, letting a known animal hoarder use their store as a safehouse when the hoarder gets raided, and they also like to flip tortoises upside down and leave them

The whole store reeks of urine and feces indicating a lack of cleaning, dogs were in cages with no enrichment and were designer breeds likely from puppy mills as some had hereditary issues like a hard time breathing (french bulldogs) or gunky eyes. I've had parrots for years, and the state of these birds is pathetic. Parrots are intelligent and need enrichment like toys and things to chew as well as fresh fruits and vegetables (having them on a poor diet of seed mix is a quick way to shorten your birds life span). Many cages were completely bare except for the bird and one perch....many birds had horrible feather condition from cages that were too small as well as self mutilation (which can result from lack of enrichment and stress levels). If you care about animals and their welfare I'd recommend anywhere EXCEPT this store. I'm most saddened that the employees don't seem to see any issue with these chronic problems at their store which is evidenced by the multi year long review history of the state of this place.

Came in to buy a dog. I found the dog that I wanted and he’s great. Let’s talk about the pricing. I asked the lady how much for the dog? $3000 for the dog. Cool that’s fine I went right their finance thing. BIG MISTAKE. $950 I wasted in store the price left should have been $2050 left right? WRONG. Their financing SUCKS. The dog costs about $4500 in total and yes I did my math right. This place really does rip you off and I’ll never do that again. He’s not even full breed by the way.

There was a person who was very disrespectful towards the other customers and myself. She was talking negative about a few of the dogs. Saying they're too much to handle.... Wasn't very nice to the husky when it was time for him to go back to his kennel. Didn't even bother to ask if I was ready to have the dog go back to his kennel..... Pulled the dog's ear when the dog wasn't complying...

I called the store wanting to know the prices for cockatiels since it was the closest location but the price was 450$. The average price of one is 100 to 300 hundred dollars. Also when I went there you could notice the dogs are from puppy mills. And If you look through the reviews you can find a picture of a tortoise on its back. In my opinion this place needs to be shut down.

0/5 stars. This place neglects and mistreats all the animals. All the puppies are in tiny cages with no room to play, bowls all empty. We watched one use the bathroom and immediately eat it afterwards, the workers didn’t care. Half the fish were dead. This place needs to be shut down, they clearly don’t actually care for animals.

We just bought our 3rd dog from Pets R Us and could not be happier. Our vet said the puppy was in excellent shape and had the appropriate shots for its age. The owner was friendly and patient with my visiting several times. All my questions and more were answered . I would recommend Pets R Us.

Have been a customer for over 25 years. Wonderful staff. I have gotten two different puppy’s from them over the years. Both were great, healthy and lived to a good old age. The staff is helpful but busy taking care of the animals so patience is needed. They helped us pick out the right products and adjust as our dog’s needs changes and gotten holder. I know some people are put off by the high prices of the puppies. The prices are set by the breeders and right now prices are sky high nationally. This isn’t the store’s fault. Adoption isn’t much of an option in Omaha unless you want a big or older dog. So, it will cost to get a small breed puppy. The times where a kid is pulling a wagon with free puppies down the street are gone. And for the bird with no feathers? He is just old - very old. I remember a time when he was young, beautiful and engaging. Now he is old, gray and cranky but still lovable like me.

Price gouging and poor health of animals. Over breeding of mutts for exorbitant prices. $450 for Grey Cockatiels. Outrageous! No prices on animals. That way they can change prices at the door. And they talk bad about customers if you don't buy the animal you asked about. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Beware these animal extortionists!

Way over priced 2500 for any pup or kitten a breeder charges way less . You have to find someone to ask and wasn't greeted or anything. The financing is no good eaither only Nebraska residents allowed

This place makes our family so happy. We adopted a cockatiel here and he changed our lives. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable that we feel like they are helping us raise him. Love this place

Both workers were rude. They acted like I was bothering them by asking questions and were not very helpful or friendly. This was my first time in the store so I did not know much and some basic assistance would have been nice.

To give this place business is to give business to puppy mills. These animals are severely over priced and the poor critters are living in filth. It’s truly remarkable these people haven’t gone out of business

I had an excellent experience. I came in and saw a beautiful German Shepherd and Rottweiler and more but the GSD was listed as 3400. Immediately he told me, "but today, he's 1400.00" He said "whoever gets him is going to be VERY happy"....they held him for me for about an hour or two while I ran back to my house South of Omaha. I had no intention of buying a dog that day. I was actually across the parking lot at the Neurotherapy of Nebraska facility doing treatment and I mentioned I needed a dog and they told me about this place. So I stopped in. His pedigree is legit, the vet is impressed with his health. He's going to be a big boy!!. I needed a dog so bad. I'll for sure be back and recommend. They were working with him at their other business prior to purchase too. So he came very obedient at 4 months.

I reported this place to the humane society. The way dogs are kept is inhumane. They are given water feeders that you would get for a guinea pig. The workers are unhappy and miserable people.

I had a wonderful time visiting the pet store the day before Easter this year. So fun walking in and seeing all the pets. I was looking for a Conure Parrot and they had a large selection. The Photo is of Palmer my green cheek conure, we love him and is such a beautiful and entertaining bird. The staff answered all my questions and were so knowledgeable. Thank you so much for our new family member Palmer is a joy.

Honestly I’ve been here so many times like almost every month and literally nothing ever changes the animals are always either stinky, hurt ,put into small places and honestly almost to the point of dying und no fault of their own…the owners are always either rude or racist..me and my boyfriend recently went and seen that in one small room the have stacks and stacks of animals in poor conditions they look clean and some looked dead put in a hot tank…we asked to seea puppy because we really were thinking about getting one and all the employees said “no” but then the other fellow people were told they could and had time to play with them…everyone seemed rude i don’t really care about the rudeness I just care about the animals conditions and for all of them to be checked on…

I was hesitating between a bichon and a poodle so I asked the lady with blond hair in the store whether we could try interactions with them. She said only if we are going to buy them can they take them out and have us play with them. “We can’t just take them out for you to play. “ What kinda rude attitude is that? We left promptly. If that lady is an employee, congratulations on having such a “happy” employee. If she’s the owner, good luck with your sales.
