This is my favorite place to get minerals and jewelry for gifts. Great selection and friendly staff.

Absolutely loved this shop! I had a pretty long list of crystals I needed. There were two employees working when I came in and both greeted me and offered to help but didn’t pressure me or make me feel anxious. One entire wall is beautiful shelving filled with glass jars containing crystals, organized alphabetically! It’s AMAZING! I got every single one that I needed and then some! The employee that rung up all my crystals was so nice and friendly and I can’t wait to go back and get more!!! (All of the small tumbled stones in the photo came from this store!)

A true gem of a shop! The prices are wonderful, the selection is incredible! And the staff is knowledgeable and helpful! Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Store is pretty and has lots of options for generic stones. We had a piece of custom jewelry done that we are now getting fixed elsewhere to avoid hassle. Took a month and a half for them to quote the design time for the incorrect ring, and all time estimates were much much longer than quoted. Got the ring back from them, the stone is set loose, chip out of the band, not polished and missing parts of the agreed upon design. The symmetry is off (not centered or lined up) and just lazy or rushed craftsmanship all around. The easiest fix but most disappointing part is that the ring was sized down two sizes from what we ordered, so I am unable to wear the ring until we get it to another shop to possibly be recasted to get it to where this shop said they could initially. Lazy work or rushed work, and wish I was able to wear the ring we paid almost $1k to have made. For custom jewelry, I would go elsewhere for less hassle and higher quality of work, especially for the wait we were given beyond the original times quoted. At first glace, it is pretty but looking at it longer than a second or two brings out poor craftsmanship.

I always have a great time at Custom Gems! Excellent selection, good prices, and very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful employees. We're lucky to have such a nice rock and gem store in Omaha. A lot of larger cities don't have such a great spot. Highly recommended! Thanks everyone!

It took them two and a half months to get my stone put into my ring. I really figured they nickeled and dimed me on my ring. I think the women that works there is rude and Very brassy and needs to work in the back room. She is not a people person at all. The gentleman that fixes the jewelry was more personable than the woman. I will never ever go back there. Btw, there was prongs built up on it, but two wasn’t holding the little stone in. Not taking the chance of taking it back for them to screw me over and keep said ring for two months or longer! Never again!

Great place to find the minerals, rocks, and gems (and fossils) you're looking for. They have a wide selection that's beautifully displayed and reasonably priced. The staff are also very friendly 😊! An outstanding find for geology enthusiasts!!

Keith was able to use their laser welder to fix my titanium frame glasses. He was fast, professional, and the cost was surprisingly low. I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to repair titanium framed glasses. Thanks!

I went there to see if a geode I acquired was of any value and not only were they extremely friendly and knowledgeable, afterwards they offered my friends 7yr old daughter (who was in love with all the “beautiful shiny rocks”) $15 store credit. That was very impressive to me and completely made her day as well. We will most definitely return as I think they now have a young girl interested in “beautiful shiny rocks”. Thanks again!

First time here. Interesting gift ideas for the rock enthusiast Very clean and well organized. Had a men's watch that needed a new battery and the woman at the counter was very helpful with the battery replacement at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going back soon to spend more time since there is a lot to see.

Custom Gems has the most amazing gifts for everyone, young and old alike. They have items of beauty from all over the world, sold by the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff. Also, they do AMAZING repairs on almost ANYTHING (of course, on jewelry mostly). One of my favorite Omaha stores!!!

Fantastic locally owned store. I've come here a few times every year for supplies and I always get treated with non-biased, not notch service. Coupled with a selection like nowhere else in town, this is a must stop for anyone into geology, gems, crystals, jewels, & jewel craft. 5/5 highly recommend.

Everyday I am excited to wear my ring! Before working out, I take it off, and I catch myself looking at my hand to admire it, and then realizing it’s not there, and missing it, tee-hee! This is just how much I love to have it on, and even though receiving it only recently, my hand feels empty without it! If you want a custom piece engraved with scroll work and/or other designs, Dustin is your guy! When watching him draw what he was envisioning for the engraving, I could tell he was gifted in his abilities. Receiving the final piece was incredible, and it looked better than I ever imagined it would. I am honored to wear this amazing work of art that speaks for itself, and will continue to cherish it forever. Would definitely recommend him 10/10, on all accounts of great service and final product.
