2nd edit: different day same genesis. Always at least 1 bandaid laying by the pool, 2 today. It's nice in the beginning until you go everyday and start to realize how terrible it is. There is always equipment broken and usually stays that way for days. Bathrooms are disgusting. I go early mornings right after they "clean" and frequently find hair and bandaids/trash covering the drains in the showers. I know for a fact the vents above the showers and hot tub haven't been cleaned in probably 2 years, they're packed with lint and dust which is why it smells bad. Next to the pool there is an area in the corner that I always go to cool off, sometimes I see the same piece of trash laying there for 3-5 days. Hope you don't plan on an early workout on the weekend. They continue to use the covid excuse and have limited hours, just to save money by being closed. The only reason I continue to go here is for the sauna. If you just want equipment to use DONT GO HERE!!!!!! I think planet fitness would be my next choice. And you want to cancel your membership??? Lol!!! Good luck! EDIT!! One year going strong on these broken sinks!! Was 3 now 4!! I love this place!!

Has gone down hill. They don't recover the equipment pads when they clearly need it. Equipment is always broken and missing pins to select weight( leg press has been down for months and hasn't even been taken apart to be fixed). Dumbbells are never re-racked, you have to go find them yourself. 17 1/2pd dumbbell has been missing for better part of a year. Staff all stand around the front desk and talk, hardly any wear masks. I've never seen anyone other than members wipe down equipment. They've also allowed people to leave locks on lockers overnight in the small men's locker room. Even when reported they don't tag the locker or cut the lock. 4 of the 6 sinks in the men's locker room don't work. If anyplace was open and convenient I'd pay the fee and quit this gym.

I frequent this location the majority of my visits, as it is a superb workout facility. The staff are always helpful, and attentive. The gym is always clean, and the ambiance is refreshing. Thanks again!!

Love the people here but sadly the cleanliness of the gym is atrocious. A large number of the equipment is not able to be used properly because it is broken or too worn down. Towels are never clean or ready to use. Machines and equipment is very worn and old. The place is extremely dirty. I feel gross stepping into the locker room.

Please do NOT waste your money here. I have been going here for two years and nothing has gotten better. There is constantly more than one person at the desk and they still cannot refill the toilet paper in the bathrooms, paper towels to wipe off machines, or make time to fix the many machines that are always out of order. You pay almost $50 a month for what? They’ve had bats, awful water damage, and still have the nerve to charge monthly bill plus membership dues every 6 months that is not used to make the facility better. Please do not get yourself stuck in a contract here, you will regret it. If you do, I recommend asking for a tour to see for yourself what I’m talking about.

So i don't usually write bad reviews for fitness clubs as most have excellent customer service and hospitality, but this one is definitely an exception at the very least. On 9/13/2022 I visited the Cass St Location of Genesis health clubs and I've been here once before on a free trial pass, due to life events, I couldn't return to continue my trial, which was fine. One month later, I came back to ask if i could continue the second day of my trial, in which this very condescending rude gentlemen by the name of "Christian" responded " If you're not from Omaha you cant use the free trial and you HAVE to pay 15$ or else you cant use the gym....which i was totally alright with as I understand the trial only goes for that period of time in which it started.... I asked if there was any possibility that i could continue that trial in a really nice manner but then he started to show massive amounts of attitude to me and my friends who were trying to train that day by saying " I'm in charge here and what i say goes...and you're not even from Omaha so i wont grant you the trial pass", his female co-worker ( curly hair) also working with him that day began to say " This is him being nice", anyway....i continued and paid the 15$ as he wished and proceeded to train but, ultimately to me, I'm just imagining if this is his nice attitude then you can only picture what he would be like if he was not having a good day. I personally do not recommend this location ( or as a matter of fact, this health club) until they dismiss this individual as he will continue to blow away paying customers like myself who was in fact initially very interested in purchasing a plan there. His attitude is unacceptable and lowers the status for what this great gym has to offer. Hope none of you have to ever endure what I went through with this so called specific Employee.

I usually come at night and the overnight personnel are extremely neglectful. The locker rooms are full of trash and towels. They hardly ever have clean towels for patrons. Seems like staff are more interested in their computer than attending to the gym and its conditions. I don’t have an issue with them working on the computer but they can’t help if you need something leaving you to return during the day.

This is the first time and only time I've been to this location. So it could be that it was an off day but I feel like the issues I had with the place are the same as other reviewers...so it probably is not just a one time thing. Let me first start by saying towels WERE available but there definitely was not an abundance of them around... I bring my own towel....so this isn't really a problem for me. Everyone seemed to be wiping down equipment but I feel like employees should also be doing it and I didn't see one come through the weight lifting space at all in the two hours I was there. The locker room is pretty small for such a large gym. But there are plenty of lockers scattered about the two workout floors. I think this is great as you can kinda keep an eye on your stuff. It also means that the locker room isn't really over crowded because only people changing and showering are in there. The condition of the locker room was ok. Not super nice. Not super clean. But it was a locker room. Smelly yes. Wet yes. But not gross. The showers however are one area I expect things to be clean...and smell free. This was not the case. They were gross. The shower heads also are meant to spray water at an angle but they were so caked over with hard water they just shot out in a single high pressure stream. This means that they really only hit the floor is one spot and the rest of the shower floor where water was not rinsing off the sweat and grime was very gross. I imagine this is also what made it smelly. Another thing I found weird was there were no towel hooks in or outside the shower. At one point someone who worked there even brought a dirty mop into a shower stall and rinsed it off. I'm pretty sure this was the same employee who said "you don't want to know" to us as they walked by to go clean up a mess in the woman's locker room...gross. All but one machine seemed to be working in the weight lifting area. The saunas, pool and hot tub we're nice but the steam sauna smelled absolutely awful. I also detected a slight scent of eucalyptus. I imagine they were trying to use it to cover up the awful smell...it wasn't working. Something to note is all the above are co-ed. So that was a bit awkward. Not their fault. I just had never encountered that before. It feels progressive but I'm sure it also could make some people really uncomfortable. Parking was a breeze. The building was well laid out and spacious. Lots of extra special equipment and a cross fit area. Members we're friendly. I didn't feel judged for being a skinny guy who's working on bulking up. Overall it's a good space and the options are plenty. The vibe is good and the people are friendly. The cleanliness/maintenance of things is definitely something that could be approved upon. Those showers should be a 911. I'm literally soaking my feet in disinfectant as I write this review.

People are fine, employees helpful. But the equipment is super old, which isn’t that much of a problem but that mixed with the overall cleanliness of the building is not good. The men’s bathroom is disgusting and only one out of the 3 men’s stalls ever is actually in service. Would definitely give 4 stars if the cleanliness was better

Been coming here for about 4 years. Everyday it gets worse and worse. Nothing is ever clean, there is never paper towels to clean your equipment, members don’t take care of the equipment and the workers DEFINITELY don’t help that either. I have been hearing TRAINERS running around saying they aren’t fixing stuff here anymore because one they can’t keep up, and two they fix it and break it. It’s honestly such a sad gym at this point. Every member also gets charged an extra $45 twice a year for “equipment upgrades and fixes” and there is never anything knew here. I truthfully would not waste my money on this place and go somewhere nicer. Also the bathrooms are never taken care of. This place has gone down hill so bad…. Not worth the money

Giving a chance because there is definitely room for improvement! Great gym. Friendly staff. If you're interested.. make sure you stop in to see Ben! Now, for the disappointing.. Each time I've come to the gym it has been in the same state of ick! The women's locker room consistently in disarray.. garbage on the floors, showers in a sad state. I usually just come for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub usually has some kind of nastiness floating in it. The pool also had stuff floating in it. Positive, they do have pool noodles and foam weights. I wish they had kick boards. The main "lounge" area has had the same nasty greasy spot on the cushion for 2 months! The coffee table also was gross! My nephew reported to me about the mens locker room. There was a myriad of personal belongings all over the locker room. He did report that there wasn't trash all over and was generally clean and didn't smell bad. He did report that trying to figure his way out of the locker room to the pool was very confusing. I will update if I see a change for the better or unfortunately worse. This seems like 100% a cleaning person issue.

Super easy to join, has all the equipment i need to work out on a daily basis. Sauna is working 95% of the time, hot tub 85% of the time (often getting a deep clean).

I wouldn't be able to post this photo of myself on here without Genesis-Cass. The support you get from the staff and trainers like Brandon is unreal and the results speak for themselves!!! He absolutely knows what he's doing and is the best trainer anyone could ask for. Thank you Brandon ❤️🥔

Get it on special..DEFINITELY not worth the contract or inflated prices...super old equipment left over from 24 hr fitness, half the tvs don't work and always dirty...no bluetooth...to watch TV you need wired buds or headphones,..pros..they are open 24hrs sometimes...they have a pool but if it's dirty like the gym...I'll pass...haven't seen other locations...I'll update

I’ve enjoyed every aspect of this club. Tried several other clubs and this one stands out. Organized and well ran. Had a chance to speak with an employee there named Jake and he seemed to be very knowledgeable and had a good understand of my goals and how to help me accomplish them. Absolutely will recommend this club to friends and family.

Love the actual gym, do NOT enjoy the staff. Called multiple times wanting to resolve an issue and got told I would get a call back from someone. Never did. I personally called again to see what the hold up was, and ended up getting hung up on. They did NOT resolve the issue, and doesn’t look like they plan on it.

Would be a ZERO star review if possible. Cars are constantly broken into often with glass in parking lot of and coverage garage. They can't even fix the basics in the Men's locker room. 2/5 sinks work, one has had sitting water in it for over a week easily. This location offers towels which are rarely available even after just purchasing a bunch of new towels for the gym. I don't mind a warm gym but it's clear air circulation is a major issue when everyone is drenched even people hardly working out. Feels like plates disappearing as get harder to find certain plates for plate loaded machines. Genesis has come into the Omaha area and feel they can do what they want because they have no true competitor. If new to the area and would advise anyone looking for a new gym to join another gym. Not worth the price.

This place is actually pretty gross. The parking lot under the building is atrocious, if you walk barefoot in the lockerroom you might catch a deadly disease, and people here don’t take care of the equipment. But hey, at least they’re still kinda working…

Great staff, friendly trainers, and overall clean gym. Team does a good job racking num nums weights when they don’t seem capable. Good atmosphere 👍🏼

During the cold weather the pool heater quit and the water temperature was below 70 degrees (F) And that started in November, and as of today the heater is not working 2/6/23 and the temperature was 72 degrees and they do not know when it will be fixed, so as a swimmer I am very disappointed in your service on the pool portion. I could go to another facility but all are several miles away and that isn't what I paid for. The people at the facility are only authorized to apologize. Would you suggest I look for a different Company?

Great Gym. I came here visiting from New york and was pleased to find the gym had everything - cardio downstairs, racks, weights and bars upstairs. Pool too. Great experience

Good gym but could definitely use some new equipment and needs to be cleaned and maintained more often - and somebody should sweep or mop the basketball court every once in a while

Attended a water fitness class. The instructor was excellent. The pool facilities, locker room, whirlpool, steam room and sauna were all clean and well maintained. The pool exercise equipment (pool noodles and water dumbells) were old, worn, and in need of replacement. One more small thing, the clock displayed incorrect time. Overall, an enjoyable experience; I will return.

Great place to workout!! I love my trainer Braxton, he helped me lose 60 pounds!! 40 more to go to reach my goal!!

Great gym!! Lots of different equipment and plenty of room. The staff is great and helpful to.

This gym has such a variety of equipment and is spacious along with great trainers to boot! But my favorite thing? Is it's open 24hrs, in exception of only Saturday night.

This is the 2nd Genesis I've been to now! I love this one bc I bike most of the day on the Keystone Trail and I just pull over n go relax and then start a workout. Then I go to the Jacuzzi n pool n swim! Then take a shower and back on the bike trail! Tonight it's 11 so no bike trails afterwards Tonight. But it's great bc it's usually a 24/7 gym except Friday and Saturday nights I believe! I don't pay attention I just workout and keep going until I'm done!

My favorite club in Omaha! I’ve been a Genesis member for over 5 years and the staff and management at this location hold a top standard. Always a welcome and have a good workout to knowing if you need assistance to using a particular machine! If you haven’t checked this place out highly recommend!

Well genesis is so terrific I don’t know where to start! They have so many different choices of equipment and styles of working out. The trainers are great atmosphere is terrific.

Nice gym Some good options for different workouts- like box jumps, wheel flips etc. Lap swim options that are usual open. Basketball court which not all the Genesis have.

Place is a joke. Never have anything stocked. Pieces missing from equipment and not a very clean place for a "Health Club". For $50 a month you'd expect a little better. Also the fact that there is no way to cancel a membership online is one of the most brand dead decisions I've ever seen. Would not recommend Genesis to anyone.

My personal trainer Joe is excellent!!!!! He literally built an entire program around my physical issues and in the time I’ve worked with him my whole life has improved drastically. He’s encouraging, fun and a safe space for me to unwind during our workout sessions. Simply the best and worth every damn dime🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🥰

I quit my membership mainly because the gym is so dirty and never cleaned. The equipment breaks often and is not able to be used for weeks even months. It’s pricy for the quality of the gym so I would go elsewhere!
