We've had a great experience at the YMCA Downtown with adult and children's swim lessons, personal trainer, childcare, aerobic class, and using the available equipment. I LOVE that they have racquetball courts! I also enjoyed the women's room once. The staff is always friendly; if I go, someone at the desk will be ready to smile. Parking is rarely a problem, though once, an event at the Children's Museum made it scarce. I highly recommend the Y!

This location seems to be run by very young adults, therefore it is inconsistent and unfair. We're told no kids allowed at all in the facility unless they're at the day care. We asked about playing basketball they said the parent had to stay up there with them. Then I come in and there are 2 kids downstairs where I use the elliptical, running around while their parent worked out. My daughter has 4 little kids and has not been able to work out because the daycare hasn't been open. Another thing, since the pandemic is winding down, the gyms have started towel service again. When I walk into Butler-Gast Y the towels are sitting there, and they ask me if I would like to use one. When I walk into this Y, I don't see the towels and they don't ask me if I want one. I saw a couple of people with one so I asked about it, they said you have to ask for a towel. Just another bad service.

The counselors are wonderful, loving and patient with the children. The schedule provides the campers with structure and with a vast variety of activities, it's never mundane. I also appreciate the system developed for the campers that hold them accountable for their actions/behavior that is appropriate for each age level.

The staff is friendly, and it’s a nice, clean place to work out, I just wish they would playing music like they used to.

If you can get past the very rude and terse front counter staff, the YMCA gym is well maintained but the day staff make for a very sour experience. They are not friendly and always act as if I am an inconvenience for them. Will not be renewing my membership in July, because I don't want to deal with that attitude every time I visit. It's a shame.

It’s such an incredible place to better yourself. The staff members are always greeting you with a warm welcoming. The amount of effort that’s put into the cleanliness of this facility is obvious. Well worth EVERY penny.

My 3 yr old loves the class but I think there should be a helper or second teacher for the swimming lessons. Managing 5 kids is a challenge let alone in water. He does a great job but I think he could benefit from some help. Plus, it would ease my mind as the parent.

EGYM has really made a difference. New location attached to the new high school. They are adding new equipment and tools. To continue to improve.

Overall I love the YMCA but I’m disappointed how the location downtown equipment is always jacked up and there are loads of missing equipment. Every other YMCA location has everything except for one DownTown…sadly I will be canceling my membership soon for those reasons. It’s been years and all they’ve done is fixed the flooring. Something needs to change everyone I see there has similar complaints as well.

Very unsafe I been member of ymca for over 5 years these year I decide to work out at 20st. Some one broke my pod lock and get my wallet out of my bag. He stole $300 out of my wallet I saw the guy still stealing from other lockers I tell the stuff the have me call 911 they never show up and spoke whit the manager she say the thief wasn’t a member so they wasn’t able to have any information from him. I will never go back to that location.

Would rate it lower if possible. Did the 10 day free trial and the weather made it nearly impossible to utilize the pass on top of them being closed 2 days due to weather. I should’ve at least had one day where I could’ve been compensated for them wasting my time.

The facility is always clean and I like that I can always find an open machine, even during busy times. I also like that I don't have to park on the street and that the facility isn't in a high traffic area. Great experience here!
