Updated review: Been here a few more times. I've returned enough times and considering it's distance from where I am, I have upgraded it to 5 stars. Badam milk 5 stars this is not on the menu, but you can try to ask for it to see if it's available Chicken 65, 5 stars In the past the other places that I've had this has always done Bone in. I found this version easier to eat. The flavors are also on point and it came to the table piping hot. Tikka masala chicken 4 stars Goat vindaloo 4.25 stars Astoria curry (lamb) 4 stars Butter masala Service is kind of hit or miss here depending on who is working. I wouldn't say it has the best atmosphere for Omaha Indian restaurant. It's a 3.5 I don't come here for that, I come here because the prices are very good and the food is good. This last time I was in for example, there was no music and it was oddly quiet. Parking is available in a medium sized lot that is shared with other businesses. ------ Previous review The food was good though. We ordered the butter chicken, goat vindaloo, lamb Biryani and naan bread. We would order everything again.

So we went to this place for dinner on saturday. Food: Curry - Ordered paneer tikka masala, malai kofta. Clearly, chef doesnot understand the difference in gravy of tikka masala and malai kofta, because both were same, with kofta being slightly spicy. Rice that comes with curry were STALE, bad, we trashed them. We will never give anyone such rice to eat. Malai kofta was good actually in taste. Naans- we ordered mirchi, garlic and onion, all were good. Biryani- we ordered mix veg biryani, i did not liked it as it felt it was prepared say yesterday and did not had a taste of freshness. But my friends loved it. Money - spent $70 including taxes, but felt like wasted it. Could have gone to a cheaper place for same amount. Also, they need to update rates on their website because evrything was expensive in there. Now coming to why I am giving them 1 star where in such case i would end up giving 3 or more stars. They have bar code scanner kept on each table asking to review them for a free desert, and i see almost everyone writing review for that free desert. And the free desert is kheer. As a customer, I feel being robbed and I am super dissapointed because i choose a place to eat based on google review comments.

During my recent visit to this restaurant, I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious biryani, special naan, and delightful mango lassi. The food received high praise when I introduced it to my international friends. However, the overall experience was marred by poor service. Despite the excellent food, the delivery was significantly delayed, and the staff's response lacked friendliness. I recommend the establishment to prioritize and enhance its service standards for a more satisfying customer experience.

Like their name suggests, biryani is the best that I have eaten in the midwest region and it was a pleasant experience. Karampodi chicken appetizer had the right levels of spice and flavor to satisfy your tastebuds and definitely worth a try.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Very glad that the food is halal. The ambience there was friendly and family oriented. Our servers were pleasant, helpful and professional. I was really unsure what to order so our server was very helpful and patient. We ordered Haleem, Astoria lamb Curry, the Chicken Tikka Masala Garlic Naan Masala Tea and Rasamalai for dessert. The food was delicious no complaints. Everything was great from the bread to the tea to the dessert. I can't imagine what spicy means here because I ordered medium and it was 🔥🤣. Good stuff. The dessert was very different but it was good. I love the taste of the milk used in the dessert and the tea. Will surely be back inshallah. Good job.

If you like butter chicken, you should try this place! We got the butter chicken, paneer Tikka masala, and the plain dosa. Everything came out quickly and the spice levels were just perfect. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They also have Thums Up!

Delicious Indian food! My family and I ate here on a Saturday night. We received fast and friendly service. But the best part was the food! 3 of us orderd: Mango Lassis, vegetable biriyani, Lamb Astoria curry, garlic Naan, Chicken lollipops, and korma. We're going to eat like royalty for a week! Astoria and Korma were the big hits!

Unexpected date night. We ended up here and we're glad we did. Authentic Indian food. We had the Pakor mixed vegetables, chicken chettinad (even at medium spice it took some yogurt sauce to cool it down, and a chicken sizzler thing of some sort, and Naan bread. It is just amazing. Get out and support this small business. Bonus my wife has knee problems. Since I had to park away further I went to get the car and come back and pick her up. They helped her get to the car and get in. That says enough in my book!!!

Best South Indian food place in Omaha. Featuring Hyderabadi cuisine like biryanis, pakoda, thalis, variety of curries and chutneys. Their buffet offerings are very good. They serve only halal meat! The place is clean and staff is very friendly. Small tip: pay with cash and save on your meal total.

Super friendly staff and the chicken biryani is absolutely amazing. We got stuffed cheese naan bread that was really good as well. It was our first time visiting and definitely won't be our last. Would definitely recommend it 🔥

Place was nice and calm. Ambience was reasonably fine with a specific wall of pictures of popular celebs, places from India. Coming to food, it was really good. making the dishes based on your preference and any customizations. Fish in appetizers was surprisingly good. Biryani quantity for a single portion was quite too much, so be cautious while ordering!!

Super friendly, their food is great. We've been to a few places around town and this one sticks out as a place we like to come back to. I especially like the lamb.

The cook took our order and when he asked how hot for my dish I told him I wanted it HOT. He cautioned me, asking if I was sure... He did a good job. :)

Hidden gem, and one of my go-to places for lunch. Authentic with great Indo fusion choices and is delicious. Honestly it's at least comparable to Jaipur but with a much more casual setting. Likewise also much more affordable! The Apollo fish and Hakka Noodles are amazing!

Yo this spot is where it’s at. The food is awesome. For starters get you and your crew some chicken lollipops. Than get you some Masala. Don’t forget to get it spicy. This food is amazing period. It hit that spot that you have when you hungry for something but you not too sure exactly what that something is. 100% recommend this place.

Top 10% Omaha Reviewer. Follow me on here or Instagram @markthisplacedown for more reviews. Went to Astoria Biryani House this weekend and had a delightful meal and experience! WHAT I ORDERED Vegetarian Thali. It had so many small dishes that I can’t recall every thing that was on there, but this was a great option if you wanted to try a little bit of everything. The Thali was a really fun eating experience as I’ve never had it before. The spiciest thing on here wasn’t super spicy (maybe a 4/10). If you love Naan you’re going to have to order an extra side of it with this meal. MENU The menu is massive and if you aren’t a frequent eater of Indian food (like myself) it can get a little overwhelming. There are a lot of tasty looking vegetarian and non-veg options along with Indo Chinese dishes on their menu. The best ones have pictures so that’s a major plus. For a full menu visit astoriaomaha.com VISITING CONDITIONS I came here with my buddy around lunchtime on a Saturday and it wasn’t very busy. ESTABLISHMENT Astoria is a medium-sized family owned restaurant. The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and have nice wood tiled floors. They probably have around 10-12 four person tables/booths. STAFF The staff was very nice and accommodating. They know the menu well and are able to explain the menu items if you have any questions. Big plus was when the owner came and asked us what we thought about our Thali meals. PRICING Things here are reasonable priced and pretty on-pair with your typical Indian restaurants. Appetizers range from $3-15 and entrees are $10+ (they have giant family meal options as well). LOCATION 5010 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68137 If you like tasty Indian food with plenty of options you can definitely MARK THIS PLACE DOWN as a must try!

An absolute must try for delicious, authentic Indian food. My friend and I visited Astoria, from Lincoln and it was worth the drive. The staff were amazing and kind and their buffet selection was great! Will definitely be back soon. Thanks!
