I loved going here as a kid....(still do) but now I take my young nephew, he loves to look around.

It’s like $20 a person to look at coins and 2 train cars. Incredibly overpriced I wouldn’t go here unless you’re desperate for something to do, have kids, or are really interested in the architecture of the building.

Edit: My boyfriends from California and I took him here so he could see that even Omaha, Nebraska has some cool things as well. He said the museum is beautiful and he didn't know so many things that he learned here! We came last year around the same time, nice to do on a super hot day or rainy day. Free parking, gift shop inside for little souvenir, my nanny kids loved the scavenger hunt and getting some little prizes. Areas for playing with gears, magnets, blocks, etc. The current dinosaur exhibit is awesome with rock wall (for older kiddos) and zip line (3 year old enjoyed this, too)! Always fun to come to, spent nearly 2 hours here and ended up eating downtown but they do have place inside to eat, have drinks, and hangout.

This parking lot is the best! It's free, it's located very close to the front entrance, and it's very easy to get in and out of. The upkeep is fabulous as the lines are brightly painted and easy to see and there are no pot holes. I wish every facility has such an awesome parking lot! Being able to park somewhere so easily minimizes my anxiety and makes visiting the Durham Museum that much better!
