I recently visited InterContinental Hotel Muscat for a day to use their swimming pool. The entrance gate, conveniently located to the left of the hotel, allows direct access without passing through the lobby. The sign-in process was smooth, and the courtyard pathway led to a beautiful pool area. The pool, meticulously maintained and clean, offers a variety of sunbeds, including some shaded by trees, creating a cozy atmosphere. The beach access restricted to room key holders enhances the exclusivity of the experience. The pool layout provides numerous nooks and crannies, perfect for swimming, relaxation, or enjoying a good book. Overall, a delightful day spent in a well-kept and inviting environment.

Everything surpassed my expectations. From check-in till check-out. Simply fantastic. Breathtaking inner architecture and design. Kindness of the staff, willingness to help. Possibility of late check-out with no additional charge... Amazing lap pool, perfect for swimmers. Good breakfast and very nice Zytoun restaurant offering delicious local dishes.

I recently stayed at the Intercontinental Muscat during my trip to Oman, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The hotel boasts of an impressive location, overlooking the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Oman, and lush green landscapes. But what stood out to me the most was the incredible level of service. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted warmly by the courteous and attentive staff. The level of hospitality and personal attention was beyond anything I've experienced before. Every encounter with the staff was friendly and helpful which made me feel incredibly welcome. The hotel room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with modern amenities that provided the perfect combination of comfort and luxury, offering some of the most breathtaking views of the sea or the garden. I also appreciate the little details like the chocolates in the room and thoughtful touches which made it feel truly special. The hotel boasts several dining options, including three restaurants, two lounges with a stunning sea view, in-room dining, and a sports bar. The breakfast was sumptuous, and the choices were endless, catering to various international tastes. The hotel also features a stunning pool, surrounded by tropical greenery, where I spent many relaxing hours basking in the warm sun. There is also a superb gym and fitness center offering a range of modern equipment which was perfect to burn off the calories gained from indulging in the exquisite food. Overall, the Intercontinental Muscat exceeded all of my expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect blend of luxury and hospitality, in a stunning location. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

The exterior of the hotel can look “too” traditional but inside is great! The check in was great, fast and the reception staff very kid . The rooms are fully renovated comfortable and with all what you need for a pleasant stay. Breakfasts buffet super complete and plenty of variety for all tastes (from diverse fruits, vegetables, meats, cakes, biscuits etc). That without saying the lovely personnel of the restaurant, waiters, chefs and the super kind receptionist made us feel super welcome always. Thanks a lot to the restaurant staff! Some points that could be better: - Please restrict smoking in the pool area, it is a space for relaxation and sharing with kids/family and the smoke of other guests makes it really unpleasant. Suggest to establish smoking areas behind, you are plenty of space for it. - Tomato restaurant cocktails: could be a better offer, the caipirinha was full of ice and water 😕 - In the morning there is only 1 member of the staff serving the whole pool area and the restaurant. Whilst his service was great, it is noticeable you need more staff as the person cannot manage the pool full of guest asking for service at the same time. Thank you so much! I totally recommend staying with you!

We have had a 4 day stay here and it’s a 5 star rating across the whole hotel…from the front desk, to the housekeeping and across all departments. The rooms are comfortable, modern and very clean. The hotel backs onto a popular beach amongst the locals and we’ve enjoyed our nightly strolls along the promenade. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and all have made it a memorable experience for us. A special thank you to Marian and Shehad from Club Lounge as they went above and beyond to look after us. So friendly yet professional and welcoming…so thank you ladies! We would recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again one day.😊

Have stayed at this hotel before the recent refurbishment and loved it then,but wow what a fabulous upgrade this hotel has had, great new rooms beautifully furnished with plenty of storage new beds and a lovely light decor. The original bathrooms were small and there was nothing they could do about that but they have made a great job with the limited space given. Outside grounds are still beautifully maintained with a lovely leisure pool and new comfortable sunbeds. I can highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Muscat.

This hotel was mind blowing! The rooms,the view,the pool and the lobby itself was magnificent.if you ever go to Oman for vacation,this has to be that budget luxury hotel you always wanted.more to say,the food they offer for breakfast is unique.The food is mixed with Omani and Mediterranean cuisine.They even offer Omani tea! I am simply impressed.a must visit place for Oman.

Very friendly and warm welcome. Nice and clean rooms, conveniently located next to each other for a family with children. Good facilities (pool service, spa and sauna, conciërge and ATM) and choice of restaurants within the hotel. Extensive breakfast buffet and early leave service. Very friendly and flexible hotel staff. We will be back in a few days for sure!

This hotel experience is bar none one of the best I’ve ever had! All of the service and staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive. They regularly went above and beyond to make our stay special. John Edward even had our favorite dessert specially made for us to complete the perfection of our visit. :) 10/10 recommend!

The Stay in the hotel, the food, the ambience is just topnotch. It is a place worth staying. Loved the Breakfast at the beach facing restaurant. Chef Baber assisted well with the breakfast food items and delivered good tasty delicacies.

We had a wonderful time at the Intercontinental, during our stay in Muscat. The breakfast was exceptional, impeccable service and attention to detail - this wouldn’t have been possible without Chef Baber and his team. Definitely recommending this place and we wouldn’t look at staying elsewhere on our next trip to Muscat.

Great warm and friendly service. My room had a great view of the sea, and the recent renovations upgraded all the fixtures. It was easy to connect to the complimentary Wifi, and the broadband was stable and fast. I'm not a pool person, but the people sunbathing look like they were enjoying the experience. The breakfast was extensive but the latte tasted like a bitter Americano with a splash of milk. Tr.eats had better coffee and latte.

The Intercontinental Hotel, Muscat never disappoints. From the delicious breakfast, excellent service throughout the day, the ambiance of the hotel and most of all, the staff working with their only goal: to make one’s stay memorable. I always hate to leave and I can’t wait to come back!

We stayed for 4 nights in total (1+3) and had a great time. The rooms are very well appointed, the location is great and the staff is very friendly in all departments. We had the pleasure to talk to to the executive Chef, Mr. Reid and also to Chef Babel and both were very kind. The breakfast buffet is a real feast. ( Especially after camping around Oman for 10 days) . The pool area is also very nice.

We did not stay at the hotel, but booked their New Year Party and had a blast of a time. Extremely varied and tasty buffet, great music and atmosphere. Special thanks to Ms Geeta Sharma for her exceptional support from first contact until we left the party. Highly recommend. The facilities looked very well looked after and tastefully decorated.

I had a great complimentary stay at the hotel in a double room. The hotel itself is located in the very heart of Muscat with an access to the beach. Renovated Palm Beach club with a fully equipped gym, a sauna, jacuzzi, steam room for visitors access free of charge. Great restaurants at the hotel serving international cuisine. Very attentive customer service. Highly recommended!

I just had a perfect Thai massage with Thai therapist Korawan. Her Thai massage is spot on a start to an end and I got and refreshed and relieved after the massage. The receptionist and staff were very really nice and attentive. I am totally impressed with this place. I totally recommend it. You will not regret. Prior booking is needed.

Big and clean recreation pool alongside the kids and lap pool so it did not get too crowded even if it was a weekend day pass. One of the biggest and well equipped gym that I have seen inside hotels. Clean and very friendly staff. Overall, it was was a memorable visit. I am looking forward to stay a night or two to experience the hotel room and perhaps get a massage or join group classes.

For a 5 star property, house keeping was shoddy. The shelf in the room, near the desk was dusty and even staying in the hotel for 3 days, it was not cleaned. Dental kit in the bathroom was an empty box. Bellboy took our luggage and just placed it in the elevator, assuming from there we'll take it to the car until he had to be told to accompany us to the vehicle. However Ms Jemnah was a sheer delight to deal with. Such a warm, welcoming, helpful & knowledgeable staff member of the hotel.

We are members here and I use the gym often. I’m always greeted with a smiling face. Teeba is friendly and welcoming week after week. Grace and the other employees at the gym have also been helpful and quick to respond to any issues. The lifeguards at the pool are careful and attentive to children while swimming. Everyone seems to be working hard! Keep up the good work.

Location is amazing, the service though was just over the top. So attentive and responsive and so much to do in one hotel. Rooms were modern and well laid out with great views. Love the Intercontinental brand and this definitely lived up to the name.

First of all good outside looks with welcome nature ENTRANCE. From outside view is very attractive like it is calling you. Rooms no doubts wonderful and very clean and relaxing offer of the BEDS. Some of the place is beautifully decorated that one will feel like haven. Interiors is very good with different looks. Wash rooms are clean. Bar and the place where you will relax having your favorite drinks. Banquet is well looking and attract the person to host here.

An amazing place to relax and enjoy. The crew were working in the hotel are friendly. The guest feel happy and safe. A big thank for all Staff. I am happy to choose the Palm Beach to be my guide to be more active. I would like to thank MS Teeba for her warm welcome each day I visited the hotel. ❤

An iconic landmark in Muscat that has been operational since the 70's. There was a time when there was nothing around and there was just a straight road to this hotel. Even today, this hotel ranks among the best. The hotel has multiple restaurants under one roof and a big pool area and gym. Accommodation is quite generous aswell.

Two thing must be tried : 1- Breakfast ( Buffet ) 2- Coffee from the cafe shop which is close to the entrance. Those two made my stay special. breakfast exceeded all of my expectations , The Omani Chef ( Female ) she had a magical hand Mashallah

Overall a satisfying experience. The loyalty benefits came a bit short during the stay (no welcome amenity (Spire elite member), no Club Access). The room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly. Lots of universal power sockets available. Great view of the sea. The outdoor area is nice, the lap pool was great. At the leisure pool, there were a lot of drunk guests. At one time, guests started beating each other in the pool which made me feel unsafe. The lifeguard managed the situation quite well. The beach is just steps away and directly accessable from the pool and it is nice for an evening walk or swim.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and the location is very nice. You have the beach nearby, adult nightlife (bars/clubs) nearby, shopping/dinning area close by (good for couple/family dinners and night wonders) and its close to "lovers road (shara3 hub)" which is a nice place for late coffees, talks, sea view and general pass time. Only recommendation I'd have would be with the parking it needs a better layout/flow, it's a bit messy for my liking but no biggie (you're going to the hotel, not to live in the parking area 😂).

From the hotel concierge to reception to house keeping and maintenance team everyone was very friendly and professional. I booked room with the sea view over looking beautiful views of the sea and clean beach. Hotel is more family friendly compared to loud neighbors at W Hotel. Pool is nice and additionally have gated access from the hotel to the public beach which is not crowded. I only got to try breakfast at one of the restaurant which was excellent. Overall for the beach hotel stay in Muscat the hotel provides best value for money. Definitely recommend to visitors in Muscat

I always hold the staff here on high regard. They are so friendly and attentive. From the personnel on the check in desks to the personnel who make up your room on a daily basis. Nothing is too much trouble. I spend many nights here for business trips but when I asked them to assist in making my 1st wedding anniversary just a little better, they pulled out the stops. Hotel premises are very nice, with great pool area and private beach. The breakfast included diverse options and the food taste was really great. The most important is the staff high spirit spread in the whole place, so welcoming, smiling and friendly.

The elevators take a bit to get used to, but the staff are amazing. Everything is very clean and well appointed. For international travelers the rooms have some outlets that don't require adapters. Many food options, and a good location
