I did my PADI open water certification with Aura divers. My instructor, Dee, guided me through the certification process until completion. She is professional, thorough, and yet makes the sessions really fun. You need to first start with the theory online before completing the course under water. We did the underwater part of the test at Damaniyat Island. Damaniyat is a beautiful dive site. The boat is big and spacious, and the crew is very friendly and professional. Also, the fact that my trainer is female made me feel more comfortable and safe. After the certification, I went on a couple of dives with Aura divers in order to gain more dive hours. I was so excited to see Leopard Sharks, sting rays, and this gigantic moray eel at one time. I can't wait to join Aura Divers on another trip and will continue to do so during my visits to muscat.

We carried out a snorkeling trip to the Daymaniyat Islands as a family (from 5 to 36 years old) with different levels: Freddy was able to reassure and accompany everyone to allow them to enjoy this experience. The snorkeling trip was the highlight of our trip in Oman. The operator was very communicative, replied our questions in details patiently and the guide was very attentive. We were so excited to see the coral reef fish and turtles.

Not great! Would not recommend. No dive shop or base near the departure point. This means that if you have your own equipment there is nowhere to wash it and store it over night until the second day diving. Boat captain and dive master were nice, easy going and mostly competent (no boat briefing like location of emergency supplies, oxygen, etc. and dive briefing did not include emergency recall and lost buddy procedures). However management seems very much business rather than customer oriented. We booked dives on two days, which were confirmed pointing out several payment options and not mentioning a surcharge for credit card payment. To our surprise there was an attempt on the first day in the morning to charge an extra amount for credit card payment, which we refused as it had not been mentioned when confirming the booking. On the first day in the evening we got a message suddenly changing the terms of our two day confirmation introducing a credit card surcharge for day 2. The amounts are not big but it does point to a lack of customer focus.

We've had the best time diving with Aura Divers! We dived in a very private setting, got a super detailed briefing and for one of us this was a very successful first dive with green turtle and a leopard shark! D. is a fabulous instructor who made the intro smooth, easy and safe :) A warm recommendation from our side!

enjoyed my snorkelling trip with Aura Divers very well. Throughout the journey, the crew was excellent. To show us where to go snorkelling, they put a map on the screen. You absolutely must see the Daymaniyat Islands while you are here. We departed a bit later than expected while we waited for customers, which is the only reason I gave it four instead of five ratings. Of course, the crew is not at fault. Still a pleasant journey.

An amazing day, 2 super dives and good company. The equipment was all set up, no issues, good gear. We were well looked after on the boat and in the water by Dee and Freddie. I'm booking my diving visitors with Aura. Thank you!

Aura Divers is fantastic and I'd highly recommend them! I signed up for the Scuba Diver course run over two days: the first day was learning skills and a dive then the second was another dive reinforcing skills learned on the first day. Katie was really thorough and excellent at helping me work through the different skills, particularly if there was one that I didn't get the first time. I felt like I was in great hands the whole time despite knowing nothing about diving when I started and I feel like doors to another world have been opened for me. I can't thank Aura Divers enough and will be sure to be back in the future!

A woman-owned business, Aura Divers is the diving club you need in order to enjoy a safe, beautiful dive. I was feeling a bit anxious since I had not dive in 3 years. Dee, the boss, and Freddy, another instructor, were very kind and made me feel super confortable, and Freddy took me on a « one-to-one » 15/20 minutes reassurance lesson underwater, so I could get acclimated, feel safe, before joining the others for another « real » dive. What’s more, they are « ecologically -conscious» and try to avoid unnecessary plastic bags on board, which is great. Also, it was nice to notice that the diving equipment was ready when we got on ship. Last by not least, the diving spot, by the Daymaniyat islands, is breathing, with crystal clear water. I have nothing but praise for Aura Divers and their scuba excursions! We had a great time exploring the underwater paradise, and I was very moved by their commitment to ocean preservation. We assisted in removing a bothersome net that had become tangled on a coral reef during one of our dives. Contributing to the preservation of these exquisite ecosystems felt wonderful. The team deserves praise for their dedication to the oceans.
