Good service and good staff

We came directly form the airport and checked in to have dinner at Bait Al bahr. The staff are super nice and the recommendations were 👌🏼. A shoutout to Mohsin. We ordered: - Katafi prawns 6/10 - Lobster ravioli 9/10 - Angus beef tenderloin taglita 8.5/10 - Salt crusted sea bass 9.5/10 - Blueberries mojito 8/10 - Mango cheesecake and passion fruit 10/10

The food was tasteless, not bad but without taste or character, and we tried a lot from the menu. I don't know how this is voted one of the best restaurants in Muscat.

Great food, beautiful setting. Service could use some work. Constantly waiting for service to order food and get the bill. Other than that, definitely worth a visit for fresh seafood. We ordered mussels and the Seafood grill.

The grilled fish was good , too bad the waiters do not know how to cleanit in front of the table and serve it. We did it ourselves. Maybe we are used to different standards and we do not eat fish filets grilled by the chef. But his is worldwide the way to present a grilled fish to he table. The fried calamary were good. The negroni cocktail watery , maybe the bar tender needd to refresh memories of cocktail recipies. All in all this restaurant is the best in the Muscat ShangriLa hotels apart the oned in Al Nusr that we did not attend.

From the time we made a reservation, we felt important. The staff go far above and beyond to see each guest. From the hostess, to the wait staff to the chef, we were so pleased when we left. The food…was amazing. We went with the oysters and mussels for the starter and red snapper as the catch of the day (grilled). Not a cheap dinner but well worth it.

Went their on full moon night and we got amazing view of sea and moon. Rooftop bar is amazing, there was DJ on Friday night and she was playing cool music. For Bar the happy hours are between 5 pm-7pm. Must visit (try to go on full moon night).

Stil we asked for BUGGIE car from restaurant reservation to pick us up from lobby at Al husn they denied they said we have to drive down by ourself and walk as we are not hotel guest ! How can you don’t provide when your restaurant is far to walked from many nearest parking for a person who has injured on foot ! On top of that food is general but service mind from your staff is 0 everyone is just ok and the place is not busy only 2 table left for whole restaurants and we are 4 with They don’t know how to served from main course when we wanted to share food and table is small to put all food we had to give them idea of how to do things which unprofessional and untrained staff to be such as a high dinning restaurant they all stuck and some food splash out from plate during being served. One small Tall Tan Indian is really impolite the way he put food the way he said ! That the table has really big space ! What kind of sarcasm! And when we asked for bill he brought a bill just we asked for discount and try to show him we are membership of Club mataam he said No discount You have to pay not even ask what discount or what member you are ! Just pushed the bill straight away We are thought we were in Shawama shop that the way we deal with him I don’t feel comfortable with his behavior in every gesture you have to really consider this as we are regular and we are not happy from 0 service mind and the way staff talk for food and atmosphere is always there same but we mind of this staff last one I asked him so what Does a membership card here do !!! We insisted for him that we are eligible on discounts Really shame on this guy

i had a visit in this restaurant found service very bad spesily the guy sohail ,he has very bad attitude non professional person. he dont know how to response customer, the food was very good specially indian food and desert. all rest staff was very good , but one guy which name is mention he is worst person.

Good place and service. I had a steak but it was bad. It was thin and didnt seem fresh. Its like those steaks served in buffets. Also it had smell of seafood as if it was cooked on seafood pan.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience The food was outstanding especially thanks to chef Trilok for taking care personally - everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. In particular, the seafood grill was a standout - I couldn't get enough of it! But what really made the experience special was the service. Jessica , was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The atmosphere was also lovely. It was the perfect backdrop for a memorable dinner. I will definitely be returning to Bait Al Bahr and recommending it to all of my friends!"

I visited the restaurant during Friday and it was kinda empty. They make a delicious lobster, but I expected the service to be much better than that. Especially if you would drive all the way from downtown and go through the hassel to get there.

Also wasn't much of a choice given the fact that the hotel is quite isolated and the only restaurant open was the all day Dinning and this one . We reserve an hour ahead and no one had the time to even prepare the table , probably busy setting up the seafood display counter with 3 to 4 choices ....... Again , maybe we have been spoiled by Shangri-la around the world but this was a birthday dinner that I rather forget .
