Such a perfect place for an evening walk alongside the #lake (Lago Maggiore)

Enjoyable promenade with parking and lots of trees for shade in Stresa. The walk grants you great views of the Borromean Islands, there is also a ferry service if you wish, easy to break away into town to get a gelato to cool off and reward yourself anytime you want too.

Wunderschöne Promenade direkt am Lago Maggiore und bezaubernde Altstadt mit vielen Lokalitäten. Herrliche Ausblicke auf den See und die vorgelagerten Inseln. Es gibt zwar wirklich viele Parkplätze direkt in Ufernähe aber leider noch mehr Autos und Menschen.

I really enjoyed the hotel Astoria nice friendly staff some nice places to eat with views over the lake like Daniels and if you like gardens well you've got a choice of three good ones

It was peaceful to walk here. There are a lot of trees which smell peaches 🍑 you want to drink them like an ice tea 🤭 But of course this costs something... There are a lot of fruit flies 🤣 Just because of that I gave 4 stars ✨

Schöner Ort, gute Anbindung über die Linienschiffe. Parken allerdings teuer, wie überall am See 1,50 Euro pro Stunde. Zentrale Lage der Innenstadt mit schönen Geschäften

Sehr schöne und gepflegte Uferpromenade mit herrlichen Ausblichen auf Berge, Inseln und Lago.

Es ist ein wunderschöner Ort so idyllisch und liebevoll hergerichtet man fühlt sich gleich richtig wohl und es gibt viel zu sehen und gemütlich an der Promenade laufen und auf den See zu schauen

Even thou its winter the place still gives you a very picturesque mode, every corner every part of the place are magnificent

A lovely place apart from the pestering by someone trying to push us and others to buy bracelets we didn't want. (We didn't buy any). Spoilt our day though.

I guess the most beloved city around the lake partly because it is very near to the Islands. Lots of coffees, bars and restaurants.

There is too Much people on holidays so if you want to eat in the island is better to do a reservation others wise you can do It in the center of Stresa!!

The view was excellent and it was a lovely location to sit in. That being said in comparison to the prices of some of the other local restaurants, for the price this was not quite worth the money. Had the Greek Salad which was good, and included plenty of feta cheese which was nice. The prawn salad had only maybe 6 prawns which felt a little cheap considering the salad cost around 13 EUR. The food was good quality and the service was nice though, overall a really good experience

After covid is fantastic

Stresa is not Clooney land. You can visita the islands in the lake by paying for a short trip on an uncovered and cool boat with other tourists. The isola dei pescatori has many restaurants and a daily artisan market alongside the lakeside where you disembark. The islands are owned by the same family alongside the home and gardens on Isola Bella. The family has a history that goes back hundreds of years.
