This is such a steal! Food is not that great for the price. It is so expensive for okay food. Plus only my partner could eat as they did not have vegetarian options and I am pregnant so I took the cheese which was on the menu for 17.50 euros. And we looked at the bill in the cab and they charged us 27.50 euros noting that usually the platter comes with four cheese and I got 3 and one of the cheese was so old I had to ask a new piece which was not already cut. Plus one bottle of water (refilled water) is 8 euros each! So so so bad

Fantastic service and super tasty food!

Unbelievable meal. We had the petit tasting menu with an incredible herring and the best cod we’ve ever eaten. It was served with the smoothest mashed potatoes and a butter herb sauce that elevated the dish from great to exceptional. We capped it off with fresh raspberries and vanilla ice cream. But the most special part of this restaurant was the service- Maxime went out of his way to care for us. He made sure not only that we had a good meal, but that our experience was one that we would never forget. I cannot recommend this place enough- and for the value, it might be the best restaurant I’ve ever been to.

On a hot, balmy June evening we arrived on time for our reservation at 7.30pm and were delighted by the spacious tented courtyard which provided a lovely shady cool alfresco experience. Sadly the flowers on our table, and all the adjacent ones had died. It's not hard to check that and remove them, or replace from the extensive garden a few metres away! The staff were polite and welcoming, drinks and menus arrived , but already we were advised that three dishes were no longer available. At 7.30pm, when the restaurant must have known how many covers they were expecting, this was another sign of poor management. Interestingly, the menu offered not a single vegetarian option or any choice of vegetables other than potatoes. After waiting for a while our starters finally arrived at 9.00pm. Both were delicious, and beautifully presented. But after a long hot day, we were tired and very irritated to wait until 10.00pm for our main courses, without any explanation or apology. My steak with red wine and shallot sauce was overpoweringly vinegary and the sauce inedible. Retrospectively, I should have sent it straight back. Equally my husband's cod dish was over-seasoned. When the waiter asked if I had finished and I explained, there was no interest or concern shown. At 10.30pm, three hours after arriving we were offered desserts, way too late! We chose to book at 7.30pm for a good reason, that we prefer not to eat too late, and as a consequence of the time and the very rich food we were both suffering from indigestion for the next 12 hours. This is not a Michelin star quality restaurant, but the prices are ridiculous and we felt the choices limited, the flavours unbalanced and the experience a very expensive mistake for three spears of asparagus and a few mouthfuls of vinegary steak.

Bar Bulot offers a very professional and supremely well executed experience. Food quality is superlative, stylistically it leans classical but with very contemporary approach. I would think it nearly impossible for anyone to leave dissatisfied from the table. Great lunch spot and with their spacious parking ideal for business meetings.

Bar Bulot is an absolute gem and is highly recommended, their use of fresh ingredients and delicate handling of the flavours made it such a joy to eat at. There was nothing I could fault of the experience, the entire gamut of fine dinning was maintained to such a high standard that if you are in Bruge you should visit here as a priority.

Have a nice pleasant evening. The food was ok, no more, no less. Expectations were perhaps a bit too high and therefore not fully met. We love taste sensations and they were missing here. The plates were beautifully finished, they certainly appealed to the eye, but the flavors were rather flat and not very surprising. I expected a delicious piece of fish but it was lost or drowned in the excess of sauce. My husband was hoping for some crispy seasonal vegetables with his meat. Except for an onion, there was none of this. A very cozy setting and good service, but we are going to leave it at this one visit.

Restaurant Bar Bulot is hands down our favorite dining spot! The friendly and efficient service perfectly complements the incredibly delicious food they serve. We've had numerous delightful experiences, and each visit leaves us wanting more. Location (previously known) is top, good service, but a total experience? We chose to be surprised by the chef, but we were only surprised when we received the bill. Aperitif, without any snack, unless you order and pay extra. Smoked salmon as a starter, with the fat edges still present. Bavette as main course and Sabayon as dessert. Brave, classic dishes for which you do not go to a star restaurant, this was more brasserie level, but highly priced. Here we simply missed the surprising snacks with the aperitif or the extra dishes between the other dishes that you get at this level, even coffee was not provided.

I was there with 3 friends last week. I was extremely disappointed, the food was not that good. There is no amuse bouche. The main dishes are served alone without any decoration and you have to pay for any extra side dish who are served apart. The tomate-shrimp was ridiculously small. The van Tricht cheese seemed a bit old. And food is rather expensive so for that amount you expect better. I would not come back nor recommend

It's hard to find much more pleasant than this. Especially at this level.
