Really interesting museum. The history of the beer wasn't something unknown for me but here was told in a different way that made it worthy and interesting, you could touch or interact with many items. After the tour, which ends in the bar, you can try many different beers. Highly advisable.

Great museum, where you can learn all about beer - where it originated from, how it's made, what types of beer are there... I just love the idea with iPads and headphones. One suggestion for the owner/manager - you should somehow mark the objects which activate information on the iPad.

There was no wait for entrance or tickets. I visited on a Sunday early afternoon. The whole experience is very isolated, which I liked a lot :) it's also self paced. Which allows you to determine how quickly you want to get through it. There are a lot of interesting bits and pieces, and it's set up rather nicely. The beer I had was extra tasty. I had a good time, spent about 2hrs to get through the tour and the beers after. 👍

I bought tickets online about 2 weeks prior for a 12 pm Monday time slot with a tasting. It was such a cool experience! When you first enter the museum, you’re greeted with a really eye-catching display of beer cans, that spell out the word “beer”, and a bunch of really cool beer posters. Once you get upstairs, they’ll give you a tablet and it becomes an interactive experience. There are QR codes all over the museum that you scan, and you can watch videos/hear audio about the history of beer. I would say the coolest exhibit is the globe. You can scan various countries and learn about the history of beer from those regions. It took us about a hour to see pretty much everything we wanted but if you want to go at a more leisurely pace, or if you’re super into beer, you could spend 1.5 to 2 hours here. Afterwards, you can head to the tasting room (if you booked that addition) and they give you 4 tokens for a tasting. My favorite beer was the Rodenbach Fruitage, which was a nice and crisp raspberry beer. They also have snacks for purchase, but we were saving our stomachs for an actual lunch. It's definitely worth a visit when you’re in Bruges. Don’t forget the photo ops with the bottles of beer on the wall in the museum!

Weird museum experience. Everyone has an ipad and headphones and you're holding up the iPad to random things hoping that it will display something you can listen to. The whole museum is dead silent when you take the headphones off. Was more interested in the quiz (I was terrible at it). Small museum, but the drinks at the end are wonderful. 4 drinks for 10 euro is a pretty good deal as well, especially if you go with the strong ales. Great views of the main Bruges square. A delightful experience.

I've done my fair share of brewery tours and these people nailed it. You will not tour a brewery. You tour an exhibit describing brewing IN DETAIL. It is some reading but the creative way they do it is worth the money alone. You get an iPad and a lot of pointing and clicking on pictures. At the end you get 3 decent size samples. Best of all there is over a dozen or more to choose from. Do it you won't be disappointed.

It is not a must visit place at Bruges. Not good compared to 'Heineken Experience' at Amsterdam. If you are a beer lover, you should visit this place.

Nice place to park for a minute and try local beers. 5 small pours for 10 euro at the time of this writing. This might seem like a tourist trip but it’s not. Free WiFi with a nice place to relax while planning next move in Bruges. Super knowledgeable and nice staff.

Being a beer lover, I alongwith my husband enjoyed knowing the history of beer and how it's made with detailed explanation of how it is brewed in different ways and flavours. It was informative plus if you buy the tickets with beer tasting , you could also taste various beers as per your choice. We had our 10 year old daughter also with is us hence we bought the family ticket which was economical (see rate in the pic) The lady at the counter was friendly. They give you headphones and tab that you would scan to get more information. You can carry a chargeable sovenior by getting a picture clicked which can be printed on a beer bottle.

Everything you could want to know about beer making and history. Perfect for every beer enthusiast, while also accessible and interesting enough for more casual connoisseurs. The museum tour includes a tablet that plays videos for the various exhibitions, as well as quiz queations throughout, and there are a couple of interactive elements, including the hop and herb aroma sampling.

Interesting technological approach to a museum, great informative iPad integration, slightly lackluster displays, however exceedingly interesting, the beer tasting option is one you must certainly take advantage of, and put your new found knowledge to a practical use. Fantastic.

If you are a beer 🍺 enthusiast then it’s a must visit. You can try beer samples inside and it’s savory. I had all the 5 beer flavors in the sampling. You can choose the beers you want to sample

Massively enjoyed this tour for my birthday! Isn’t too long and doesn’t get boring. After my girlfriend and I got given 3 tokens each to try the beers but we ended up getting more! A little souvenir of our picture on a bottle was a nice touch. Defo recommend if you’re in the area

Excellent option, especially for rainy weather, definitely if you are a beer fan. The exhibit is not too big or small, and the ipad makes it very easy to listen to the commentary. Great for kids too: our 6 year old had a great time doing the kids’ tour. The beer tasting is not some touristy tack on as well. Proper selection of beers on tap and good sized samples. Lovely atmosphere in the bar too. Staff are friendly as well.

Cool place to learn about the history and beer making process. Lots of info! Best of all, if you choose the entry ticket for 19 euros you can sample 3 beer tasters of your choice. Super friendly staff too!

Great place to taste multiple beers (4 beers in taster format for 10 €), take some photos and some rest. It is also very centric so you do not need to deviate. If you are a beer lover you will not regret coming here. PS: The beer with most awards is mediocre so do not lose any sleep if you do not taste it. There are many other good beers though.

Me & my boyfriend loved the whole experience! You get tablets and headphones to scan everything, which I found is nicer than clustering on one spot to read something. Only thing: The scents could use an update some weren't looking so fresh anymore 🙈 But was great fun! You can take a picture to be printed on a bottle (the team was really helpful as it broke the day we went and we came back the next to do it again - thanks so much for that!) Afterwards the tasting is 100% worth it. You can also book a tasting without the museum, think it was included in a tour. But you get Lars presenting loads of beer with backgrounds to you while eating cheese, that looked awesome. We actually ended up drinking every beer on the menu. Definitely go and drinks loads of beer after! Ps. The staff is incredibly friendly and know so much about the beer - worth a mighty tip.

Fun museum. Scanning the pictures with the tablet to hear the different stories is a cool idea that works well. The tasting room is also great with a good selection of beers. Recommend adding a tasting as part of the ticket - great deal!

Everything here is fine. Good fun for 18€ with three beers at the end. I would rather a guided tour to a self guided one but if you're into a lot of listening and reading, you'll enjoy this a lot.

Very friendly amd helpfull staff. Very interesting place for all beer lovers who would like to know more about history of brewery and all other beer-making details. There is also paralel tour for kids, so while you are enjoying your tour about beers, your kids can search for various pictures around museum and hear another story on their I-pads. Definitely kids friendly. There is also beer tasting experience so you can enjoy beers and have some snacks. Definitely good option if you didn't came with full stomach and still want to try some beers.

Bruges Beer Experience is fantastic! We took our 5 and 8 year old boys who had just as much fun as me and my wife. The experience was very interactive and let you go at your own pace. They even had an experience for kids where they got Ipads (as did you) so they could scan pictures and listen to a story during the experience. Following the experience, you can visit their tap room for tastings. $10 for 4 5oz tastings was a great deal in Bruges. We visited the tap room 3 times actually. Highly recommend.

Top beer experience where you can learn about beer crafting, ingredients, and people behind brewing. Interactive go-through experience with a tablet and headphones provided. Get tickets ahead of time to avoid the line and don't miss the beer tasting featuring a variety of options. A must-visit spot for beer enthusiasts or anyone looking for a unique experience!

This place is such a great and fun experience to do whilst in Bruges! We walked straight in with no waiting times. Tickets wasn’t too expensive, we got a small discount with the hotel we stayed at. You’re given a tablet with headphones that you use around the museum and it gives you all the information about everything. You can go through the museum as fast or as slow as you like. Lots of different things to read about. Our ticket included 3 beers to try at the end of the tour in the bar you get to at the end. I absolutely loved it and would say it’s a must whilst in Bruges!

One of the best attractions in Bruges. This is a museum explaining how beer is produced and its history in Belgium. At the beginning of the tour, you are handed a tablet and a headset that allows you to scan on objects and hear explanations at the language of your choice. You have the option to buy a ticket with 3 beers that are served at the bar at the end of the tour for the price of 18 euros. Highly recommended!

It's a great place to visit, the museum itself is no extraordinary if you already know about beer. The bar is great, I would recommend go directly to the bar and try as much beers as you can, all of them are great. Big cheers for the staff, they are kind and very friendly and also they speak many languages. Prost!

There's no waiting line most of the time, even on weekends! Really cool self paced experience which teaches you about how beer is being produced and even lets you try the smells of the different ingredients. The woman at the ticket booth was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Great tourist attraction. Beer tasting is definltey worth a go. The tour is a virtual audio tour that you can do at your own pace with your own ipad and headphones. Took about 3 or 4 hours to get round it all.

This is a review for the bar as I didn't visit the museum. The gentleman serving me was friendly and attentive with a superb knowledge on all the different beers. €10 for 5 beers from a choice of about 18. Try a varied selection and you may find a new favourite. I thought I didn't like sour beer, until I tried the Rodenbach Grand Cru! Thanks for the recommendation. Good views over the square too...

The museum is really worth visiting. They will teach you a bit about the way beer is make and also about the history of this lovely beverage. The exhibitions are quite diverse and they do not focus on passive means of giving you information. You can actually smell and touch some of the ingredients used in brewing process. On top of that museum offers games that neatly explain the process of making beer. The last part consist of tasting quite a few different beers which I enjoyed immensely.

A must visit stop when in Bruges. Self-guided tour with a tablet and headphones. Lots to learn and see and the tasting is worthwhile.

I learned a good deal of new info about beer here. Nice place if you like beer and want to know more about it. Tasting session in the end is also nice.

Just off the main square you will find this museum of beer, And if youre not a daytime drinker then there's nothing to fear, For there's a wealth of information dispensed with technical flair, But if the temptation of tasters is too much to bear, You can head to the bar and try out their samples, With stouts, blonds and ambers the selection is ample

  • 5/5 Patricia M. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing museum for beer lovers. The best thing was the last part of the tour, when you go to the bar to try 3 different beers you choose!

  • 5/5 Oli K. 2 years ago on Google
Not necessarily must-see if you’re not into museums. But very well-done museum. First floor tells about how beer is made, second is about history. I personally like a TV screen where you can see the beer ads from all over the world, that was fun! There is also a beer tasting, but we skipped it, seemed we can get more beer for less money in every bar around
