Bottom line, this is a pretty weird hotel. We decided to go there because the price was cheaper than the rest of the city (but still not very cheap), because it's was close to the train station and because the rooms looked nice. When we arrived, we discovered a room that is built in such a stupid way: the door of the bathroom in the room is not sealed (open from above and below) and it is impossible to lock it. Also, the shower is semi-transparent and exposed to the other people present in the room. In addition, the room is very small. I would not recommend coming unless you come in a group of people for whom this things sound suitable

Very basic room, not much privacy in room, no lock on toilet, shower/sink/bedroom all just separated by thin divider. Thought more expensive than should be for such basic room, no kettle, fridge or bath. Good location near brugge train station and easy walk into town centre. Fine for a couple but in no way a romantic escape, not ideal for friends sharing due to lack of privacy

Took the deposit AND the payment for the room at the same time. When asked about it at reception I was told that it was the 'system' and nothing could be done to release the funds. Disgraceful. Not cheap enough to want to stay again. Edit: 12 hours after checkout and still no refund. Also reserved amounts are rarely 75% of final bill. Edit 2: Two days later. I called to ask where the money was. The "system" was a bit slow today I was told. I then realized that the line that the staff take is unlikely to be 100% accurate. I received my money 48 hours after checkout. To be clear. 100 euros kept for two days after checkout for no reason, I do not believe that this is standard practice internationally. Especially considering that I am now staying at another Ibis and they only took 40 euros and I expect that it will be returned much more promptly.

Bad signage meant wandering with heavy suitcases before finding the entrance. Reception staff were pleasant but having discussed and, we thought, paid for breakfasts for the four days of our reservation, we were turned back from the buffet next morning and told we had not paid, in fact. Breakfast is adequate, if not great, for the price. Coffee machine in the lobby only takes coin and is broken anyway. No one seems to care. Surprised to notice on the last day of our stay that โ‚ฌ85 had been taken from our account. On enquiry with reception, we were told it was a "reservation charge" which would be refunded on departure. Seemed strange, so would advise checking your bank records before leaving.

Rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is just next to the Brugge central train station. You get electronic keys for your room

Good budget hotel for visiting Bruges. 10 minute walk into town along the picturesque, cobbled streets. Free shuttle also available. Taxi rank right outside the station and 1 minute from the entrance to the hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Great location opposite the station, had a room overlooking the tracks and couldn't hear anything. Room was clean and well equipped but on the small side (limited space to put suitcase). Sink and shower in the main room, great water pressure and temperature. Free luggage storage

Located above Brugge's train station, this 200 rooms hotel offers the bare necessity. If you are unlucky enough to be allocated an odd number room your window will overlook the train tracks. Earplugs highly recommended! Check-in reception staff unhelpful.

The rooms are small but clean. The location is nice because it's near the train, but it's a bit of a walk to the city center (which is beautiful once you cross the street). The entrance is a bit awkward to find. You need to go up two flights of stairs after you get off the train.

Marginally better than sleeping on the road. Ac doesn't work. They ask you to open windows. Rooms are enough for half a person. No other amenities that I could have criticized.

Room is ok for a budget hotel. Service needs improvement; got a dirty towel the first day and the bedsheets were dirty. Good location otherwise; really close to the train station and walking distance to the center.

Perfect location for the station and couldn't fault the cleanliness nor facilities - even air con. Rooms are cleverly designed with a bunk for the little one if needed. If you like trains, then the view of the station is excellent, but the double glazing works well and it was very quiet

Good value for a budget hotel. The rooms were clean and equipped with basic necessities. Breakfast was ok. It is limited in space and may feel too cramped for 3 adults. But the value you get is proportional to the price you pay.

Highly recommended. Staff was helpful, the room had everything you might need (except hair dryer), the bed was comfy. Also the location is both near the station and city centre. Just 10 minutes walk from Minnewater

Returned to our room after an evening out and could not enter with the electronic key. Reception reset the key 3 times before realising that the lock was faulty (note lift needs working key to operate so.....). Very long time waiting for the lock to be opened and batteries changed. Finally in room at 3am. Very bad.

Budget Hotel? You pay too much just for sleeping. It had mald on the seeling, the shower was right next to the bed, the sink too, and the toilet was with a door so thin that almost anyone could here you. I didn't took a picture to show you the breakfast sign. It said you could take a breakfast with 7.5โ‚ฌ per person, and the amateurs took a yellow Post-It and changed the price to 9โ‚ฌ. It's not just the price, it's the decency. The only good was the location which was above the cheapest parking in Bruges.

Excellent accommodation and a fantastic location makes this budget hotel stand out. The rooms are about 120 square feet in size but are very well designed. We had a lovely 2 night stay here. A special shout out to the staff who are very helpful. Located to the right of the train station, above the car park, the location is especially central.

Terrible place! Don't stay here if possible. My bag of shampoos and hair conditioners, drying towel and shower caps are all taken from my room. I reported the loss to the reception but they could not do anything about it, not even questioning the cleaner. It is a horrible feedback mechanism and I think it wasn't in place at the start. What a shame! The room is small and the bed is only made of a plank and mattress. It is also an expensive accomodation. The trust between me as a customer and the hotel is eroded now. Don't stay here for goodneds sake.

It is a very "budget" place. Especially the breakfast. But rooms were comfortable and clean, the hotel good located next to the main station and not far from the city centre. If you do not to walk to the centre, you can use free shuttle, which has stop just a minute walk from the hotel.

Great location to visit the incredible city of Bruges. โ‚ฌ6 overnight parking in the adjacent car park and a 15-minute walk into the city. The staff are great and the hotel clean and comfortable. Budget accommodation, but a really good and economical decision

The young lady at reception who greeted us on arrival was very pleasant and helpful at all times The room is clean but rather small and nowhere to store clothes apart from some hangers. A lot of the TV channels didn't work in my room. But they were ok in my friend's room? The hotel is near the station, but also a little noisy if your room faces a very large nearby road. Breakfast was just about ok for 9 euros.

Staff were nice, good price. Rooms are small but fine for a couple nights. Very close to the train station, about 20 minute walk to the town centre. Our room was fine but my sister found silverfish in her room.

Cheep and cheerful, yes the rooms are small but it's right next to the train station and flibco bus stop so perfect for a stay after a late flight into Charleroi. Bed was very comfy and room was warm. Check in and out was easy and receptionist was friendly. Yes it's a budget hotel but it's good value for money and I'd book again if I got into Bruges late another time.

The best thing about this hotel is its central location a few minutes direct walk into Brugge. This is a 1* budget hotel so expectations were low. The rooms however are adequate for a one night stay. Small and basic, clean bedding, towels and toiletries provided. We had two room one on the station side, another on the opposite side. Both rooms were too hot for a comfortable nights sleep (in October) and the Aircon is useless. The station side room did not have an openable window whereas the other room did which helped. Floors in both rooms were not very clean and there was an unpleasant smell in the WCs (assume drainage issue). Also illuminated light switches above the beds kept us awake as they are very bright. Despite this the family rate / price of the rooms is competitive. We plan to visit Brugge again but will book a more expensive hotel for comfort.

Room is spacious and clean. Very basic budget hotel that is recommended. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is within walking distance from town, train station and the bus station.

The room it's small not privacy for taking shower, the breakfast is not as complete as other ibis budget that I have been, in general I don't recommend this hotel, just if you want to be close to the train station, there are better options for the same price in brugges

I was a bit nervous to come to this place as a solo female traveller because I usually avoid budget accommodations since they can feel unsafe, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Staff was friendly, and room was clean, location was right next to train station. Overall it was great for the price.

For a short break, I can safely say that the hotel is absolutely fine. The location and price will allow you to enjoy your stay in this wonderful city. A room designed in such a way that you will not feel the discomfort of staying overnight.

My parents came to visit me and my fiance from the states and I accompanied them several times to the hotel. Super nice and walking distance to the train/bus station as well as maybe a 20 minute walk to city center if you go slow pace. They really liked the hotel and they provided breakfast and dinner for a fee. Rooms are simple and all you'd need while visiting Brugges.

I mean it says budget at the sign but at least you would expect a pigalle at the toilet for obvious reasons. We had a 3-bed-room and the single bed was not made and the next day when the housekeeper came still the bed was not made. The location was perfect and the front desk staff was really nice.

Nice hotel and close to the centre while being just outside to keep costs down. Rooms facing the train tracks of the station can be a bit loud as work was going on, but otherwise a good functional room and hotel. Breakfast seemed a little steep for a coffee and a roll.

Old Ibis budget (if you compare with the Ibis Budget Chatelain in Brussels for example : it is really not the same category honestly) Rooms too small, no soap to wash hands, no hair dryer : if you want one you have to give 10 euros in cash for a deposit : if you don't have cash (and it is 7am), you can not have an hair dryer (no solution offered by the reception) Same if you need to buy water because you are thirsty : vending machines are accepting only...coins ! in 2022 in Covid times it is a joke. This hotel needs to be refurbished and scaled up urgently.

  • 2/5 Katherine M. 2 years ago on Google
Quite tiny and cramped. I chose a 3-bed bedroom but it was still quite small. There was no soap near the sink, which meant I had to use the shower soap dispenser. Having said that, the price was quite low for a weekend in Bruges. The staff were kind and polite.

A Nice hotel if you can find it, I came by train and yes its close however not well signposted and when mentioned the Staff had been asked about it Numerous times. But once a Recce of the Area its Absolutely fine. Room was nice Staff friendly, OK for Families I didn't take Breakfast that's extra I used a Cafe just inside the railway station Nice Coffee and Croissants as I was on the move each day It was Convenient for me. Snack machines and Drinks Machines we're Good, I'd use it again, Easy Walk also to the Centre of Bruges.

The rooms are not small. Trust me, I am 196 cm tall. I do have an issue with the toilet doors and the fact that the bedding had somewhat stale smell. Other than that, it was clean and ok. If you intend to spend the day outside and just come here to sleep, itโ€™s an obvious choice.

They don't care at all. The other hotels did change the date to October but they said NO. I made a reservation and asked to be moved from one date to another taking into account there was month in difference cause my mom, the one we are going there for has been diagnosed with Breast cancer and can't be moving around and they just said to lose that money. the worst thing was the woman who attended the call. Please let me change the date. For you is nothing but for me it's everything.

Location is very perfect, rooms are perfect, value for money. Clean and tidy rooms. But there is issue with the approach to the hotel, while one approach from the train station, there is no clear sign to the entrance and the google sign takes you to the service entrance, whereas the main entrance is upstairs which can also be reached by public lift. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

Good Location, small room size but they mention all details while booking, so you know what to expect. Staff is good and clean, comfy rooms. Good value for money. Would be nice if they arrange for kettle for warm water.

This hotel is located right near the central train station. It's actually a little difficult to find. When you exit the front of the train station you have to go up some stairs and then more stairs to find a hidden courtyard where the hotel entrance is located. It's called the Ibis Budget for a reason. We've stayed in several Ibis' before but this one was the tiniest and most cramped. There is no separate bathroom; the sink is right beside the bed. The shower is virtually in the room with the bed, although most of the glass walls of the shower are frosted so you can't see through. The only part of the room with a separate door is the toilet. Virtually no desk or surface space to put anything. Very small "closet" space for hanging clothes. Best thing about the room is that it was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

  • 5/5 Gloria N. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful room. Amazing staff. Perfect for a short stay. If for purely relaxation you may want to ask for room not overlooking the rail lines/trains. That is if that is a possibility.

  • 4/5 Martin G. 1 year ago on Google
All the basic amenities are good: comfortable bed, hot water all the time, surprisingly good shower, TV with several channels in English with BBC & ITV. The staff are very good and responsive. We asked to change rooms as the railway side was a bit too audible with the window closed. They were quite prepared to oblige. The opposite side is quieter. No the bunk bed isn't made up and the sink is ostensibly 'in the room' but it's behind a mirror screen and there isn't a wardrobe but let's get real.. Its a minimalist, economical design of a pretty small space. If you've got a huge suitcase full of clothes, you're better off keeping most of them in it! It's basic but it's reliable.

IN CONCLUSION: This is a fine hotel to stay, it is as the name suggest Budget. If that is in line with your expectation it will be good, just keep an eye on your deposit and maybe confirm at check in how much will be taken and how quickly it will be refunded. Edited: after some back and forth about the money it was confirmed that eventhough everything had been paid up front the deposit is a full nights stay. I mentioned I understood but that this was not clearly communicated. The refund process apparently also did not go without a hitch as it had to be started manually after an email. Edited: Don't stay here. I booked via their website and got an email I could check in online. I did and was prompted to enter credit card details, this is normal and allows for quick check-out. However using the fast checkout they deducted another 56.25 while we did not use anything. And the initial deposit was not returned either. Very not happy about this. Cheap and cheerful hotel on the outskirt of Brรผgge near to the station. The rooms are very budget and slightly outdated. But service is good, we were even allowed to arrive early. It is all about location here. (just remember to go right up the stairs after the second sign)

Clean rooms, decent breakfast.. but the open WC concept is awful. No ventilation, no dryer, not even a toilet brush available. Only acceptable for single person with short hair for single night stay.

Nice hotel, good value for your money, right next to the metro station, good beds and shower working great! Staff was super attentive. Would come back

  • 5/5 Diana L. 1 year ago on Google
Great location, close to the train station and center. The room was small but perfect for one person. I did not mind the shower or the sink/ toilet. Very good water pression. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet although the window was to the railway. The breakfast was basic, cold buffet: no eggs/omlette. Good value for the money, I'd stay here again.

Despite some of the negative reviews, I had a good stay. I was travelling alone, so the layout of the room was not an issue. This is indeed a budget hotel, so don't expect any luxury. If your room faces the station, it is not possible to open the window. There is some ventilation, however the room was a bit hot (even in April) and the A/C didn't seem to do much. So this could be a problem during the summer months. Fortunately there was no noise coming from the railway. Breakfast was ok, simple but enough to start the day.

  • 4/5 Rosario S. 1 year ago on Google
I would recommend this hotel for short trips. It's next to the central station and very close to the city center (walking distance). There was a mistake on how many beds would be needed but was corrected right away and change the room. Breakfast is okay. Many options in the buffet. The rooms are very basic but have what's needed and were clean. It's hard to find but go upstairs from the bike parking and you'll find it. The direction they have in Google maps is the service door.

  • 4/5 Charlotte 1 year ago on Google
I stayed there for 3 nights and it was pleasant. The staff was friendly. Easy acces and reachability. There was also a parking right next to the hotel. I didn't hear the noise from outside, but I did hear some noise from the room next to me. Is perfect cause you are close the the train station but you are away from the noises and big crowds! Perfect when you go out during the whole day or as a business traveler.
