Beautiful homely environment. The hostess has thought of everything, making it a relaxing stay. Walking distance into main Bruges. Shuttle bus available for those not wanting to walk. This was my second time staying at De Vijf Zuilen.

My wife and I stayed here for one night when we visited the city and were really impressed at our hosts. When we first arrived we got a warm welcome, a complementary Belgium beer, and a roadmap on how to get around the city. She drew it in front of us and explained everything. This is really impressive and not something we got on the rest of our trip (personalized suggestions at least). The room was great - large, comfy bed, large bathroom, the works. We happened to be there during frog mating season in her neighbours back yard, but that was nothing earplugs couldn’t solve (although this may bother some people). The breakfast for two was enough to feed four. We had some fancy starters, meat, tons of bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit, the works. And they even let you take it with you as a lunch if you don’t finish. Overall - very nice B&B that’s easily walking distance to the city centre. Definitely would stay there again. Warning about Bruges transit - make sure to look up how to get here by transit if you haven’t coordinated a pickup from the train station. There is no overall system map that we could find without data and we had to ask a few people how to get there. Save yourself the trouble and just look it up.

Very well decorated house and room. We felt like home. Ginette , the owner was very friendly and took good care of us, breakfast was excellent, she should have spent really much time to prepare such a breakfast for 2. She also helped us very much where to visit in brugge by explaining all on the map which she presented to us. District is very quite and safe. Bus stop is a few mins away. Also there is free shuttle till 18:00pm. Free parking at the back yard.

Very cozy and romantic place. We stayed here with my husband for our one night in Bruges and it was the right place for a romantic weekend. At the morning we got an amazing breakfast with delicious food! The owner of this b&b is such a great and kind person!

Ginette provides warm and personal service in a beautiful home. She had many recommendations and great local knowledge about Bruges. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We would recommend anyone stay here.

Was very friendly and informative. If you are going to arrive before 5, taxis are about 12 euro, or there is a free bus from somewhere near the station to the police station which is only a few hundred yards from the b and b, so worth going for that. Also check out the Argentinean restaurant near monks bar. Not the cheapest but very good for steak, chicken, lamb and the like.

This was a wonderful B&B. the house and grounds are beautiful and well decorated the room was clean and comfortable with private bath, tv (many stations in English). A bit on the small side for luggage but you can leave some downstairs not a problem. Upon arrival we were met with refreshments and information on the sites in the area. The hosts Patrick and Ginette are the most kind and helpful people you could meet. Every morning Ginette would make a special and different breakfast with a doggie bag so you could take lunch with you as well and did the laundry as part of your stay. She her husband and the B&B are the best!

Stayed here from London September 2016, our host's were 10/10. Very well looked after, a home from home very pleased and highly recommended. I still have our give away from Ginette - a cherished gift. Thank you both for your hospitality. X

Definitely has a character. Breakfast is very good and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Location Is good, however is about 20 minutes of a walking distance from the tourist's center. Very convenient if you arrived by car. There is parking at the premises. Quiet, mornings are peaceful, no city noise, charming the tower's clock sound.

Ginette was a wonderful host, she was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable. To make sure our time in Bruges was utilised to the maximum, Ginette provided us with a map and outlined places to visit and things to do. Our breakfast the next day was delicious, we were provided lots of tasty options. We’d highly recommend Ginette and her B&B to anyone looking for a weekend away in Belgium!

From the 1st moment once you passed the gate you will feel like home. Ginette has made a wonderful atmosphere, taking care of everything, serving tasty and big breakfasts, each day different so it will not get boring. The room we have had the pleasure to have Magistique is very spacious, bed comfortable, old decorated in kind of old style we loved. Each room has a bathroom with toilet. There is also common space available with a big TV and a bar, football table and few tables to spend some time with other guests. The place is located from town Centre approx. 25 minutes by foot or about 10mins by bus (bus stops are located in few minutes walking distance, and two lines are available). We have spent wonderful time at Ginette's and will be coming back. Thank you Ginette.

Wonderful B&B with a warm and friendly hostess. Ginette welcomed us into her B&B with drinks and conversation. The room was beautiful and breakfast was very, very good. Ginette also had port wine in our room to enjoy after our day. It’s walking distance to the center of Bruges. A free shuttle bus is also available just a short walk away. Parking was available right on her property behind the house.
