Very nice place for a short stay for any family with kids. Lots of fun for the little ones. Cottages nicely renovated and comfortablel. Close to the beach and in a nice farming area. I understand that they want to charge for some extra bigger activities (such as bowling) where service is required etc. but asking to pay 2 euros for a trampoline on the soft playground or few euros for ping pong table is really not necessary- would be nice to include some of those in the price.

Fantastic location near Ostend (10mins) and Bruges (20mins). The facilities at the park are great, with the aqua mundo being the no.1 highlight for the kids (10 and 5). The accommodation is clean and well kept, as is the site. There are a few things though... the rapids a highlight of the aqua mundo have also caused a degree of pain in the form of a hospital trip, bruises, and a number of slightly scary moments. Parents, take care! Also the farm area, we were sad to see some huge rabbits kept in tiny cages, can't help but feel that it's cruel to see animals kept in those conditions.

We stayed in a vip which had fresh bread delivered daily. The accommodation was well equipped for 2 adults .extra large bed was comfortable. Walk in shower and nice additions like dolce gusto machine.i would recommend taking the coffee pods with you as they are expensive in the onside shop.

Great location for exploring Brugge, Gent and Ypres. Accommodation however is tired and basic. On booking we were allocated a premier cottage in a quiet looking location so rather than pay extra for another specific location we opted for the one offer. Just prior to arrival we were informed that we had been moved and there was no alternative available. We were then located adjacent to the cycle shop and reception! Unit 104 is noisy morning through till late. The noise was further compounded by a leaf blower being used ever morning from 7.45am! Crazy and not a great guest experience. The accommodation was tired and beds not made even though this service had been paid for. No goodwill voucher offered for the inconvenience…. Most equipment, cutlery and utensils felt very cheap and the cottage is the smallest we have seen on any Centerparcs that we have stayed. The aqua centre was its saving grace. Too busy during the day but we enjoyed using it later in the evenings when quieter. All in, a good base location, slightly dated and tired accommodation with a good standard of aqua centre.

This is a great Center Parcs if you have primary school aged children. They will love the indoor soft play area. Unfortunately I was with my 2 teenage children and the facilities are limited. 2 badminton courts, 3 table tennis tables and 1 pickle ball court. Laser was cancelled because the guns don’t work in the rain! The pool area was good but the water temperature on the cool side, except the outdoor rapids which was the warmest water. The cycle paths out of the Parc are excellent and there’s a wide sandy beach to explore 10-15 minutes away. Be aware, they allow school trips in on a Friday and the pool was rammed with primary school children with very limited teacher supervision, not the quiet end to the week we had been looking forward to. The accommodation of fine, 2 story and functional. On site supermarket is limited, bring your own supplies or venture out to the nearest supermarket. Biggest bonus is location, 1 hour 20 minutes from Calais. Definitely worth a vilified you have primary school aged children, if you have teenagers try a bigger Center Parcs.

Currently staying here with my girlfriend, when we arrived the cottage seemed fine. Nothing special. However once we decided to shower we noticed how dirty some stuff was, there were bugs in the bathtub, ants on the floor of the bathroom, the pressure on our shower was incredibly low, I struggled to get my hair wet. Some of our windowsills looked almost covered in fly poop, maybe mould? Some doors don't close at all either. The park and pool are great and pretty, but the cottage and its cleanliness is horrible.

It was bit of uncomfortable stay at this less maintained Center Parcs. The moment we arrived we noticed Dirty carpet with dog hair and dirt on it. The terrace was dirty as well. The towels were missing. There was no coffee capsules provided. I stayed in the VIP cottage with Sauna facility and it was not upto the standards. I was on phone waiting for 20 min still without reception on line. I literally had to walk to reception in order to get the carpet replaced with a clean one. They provided the towels after reminding them twice about it. The Cottage is small and every time you have to walk down to go to toilet / bathroom. The park is not well maintained. If you see water in the map it may be filled with trees / weed etc. there is no smart TV feature so possibility to share screen with your mobile is not there. It is just a traditional TV. It is important for us as we have a child who only get entertained by Youtube. Overall the experience was bad. We left in 24 hrs as there is nothing pleasing about it.

Had a great stay - our 2nd now. Rooms are lovely and have everything you need for a short stay. They have included the bbq grilles this year which previously you had to pay to hire. Pool is great as were the kids actvities which are good value compared to uk prices. A few faults - staff not particularly bothered to help. I asked if there was an iron and ironing board and was dismissed by staff who really didnt care. Likewise witb EV parking - many non evs parking in these spaces which when reported to staff they did nothing about (i left notes on their windscreens as needed to charge but couldn't!) Apart from this I really enjoyed my stay and am lkkely to come back another time for sure. Bruges as a day trip is less than 30 mins away and the nearbh beach is simolu stunning

Absolutely lovely experience, fantastic for children, lots of various activities to try, not much fun for adults though. The cleanliness of the cottage could be improved (lots of bugs on the floor, stains on the sofa and on the sofa pillows) but other than that it's great. And the park itself is really nice and clean.

Great experience for us as a family with 2 small kids! Our toddler had lots of fun riding his bike and swimming in the pool and our baby enjoyed her first holiday trip.

Great to a week away with the kids. Pool is the best! Slides had the kids going for days. Activities and food places we great. Easy to get to the lovely clean beaches. And a short bus ride into Bruges. Cycling is amazing and almost completely car free.

I recently stayed at this parc in a VIP Lakeside accommodation and was horrified to find our direct neighbours had permanently erected 9 fishing rods on their balcony, of which 4 lines were cast directly across the water Infront of our balcony. We experienced a duck and a turtle being caught on a hook, the line had to be cut when the duck tried to get away with the hook still insitu, cruel and unnecessary. Our holiday group, which included 2 small children, spent the entire week watching distressed fish being dragged out of the water and tossed back in again, to be caught again later on. It amazes us how this can be allowed in such a small lake where the fish are confined, making them a constant easy target. Since fishing was permitted and a minority was taking advantage of this, the majority should also be taken into consideration. Using such a large number of rods is intrusive and excessive, and effected our privacy and our right to also enjoy the outside space. The management should ensure that all guests needs are taken into consideration. It would be preferable to have no fishing at all, but since there is, a solution would be designated areas along the lake side, away from properties. Needless to say our holiday was affected by this. I felt this was an issue that needed to be addressed and made a complaint. My grievance is not with our 9 rod neighbours, who were not doing anything against the Parcs rules, although they had little regard for other people, but with Centre Parcs themselves. Katharina from Customer services replied saying she was truly sorry our holiday was ruined but "Centre Parcs is not responsible for the behaviour of the guests" REALLY !!!!!!!!!!! Basically that was that. She couldn't care less and did not address my concerns at all. So Katharina you hoped your reply was satisfactory, well it was not.

We just came for the pool and the restaurants. The pool and playgrounds (indoor) are well priced and well worth a visit for the whole day. Food choices and quality is also good. Staff speaks English, German + the Belgian choices :) and is very friendly. We'd be glad to come back...

Overall a nice place. Quite enjoyed the aqua mundo/ indoor water facilities. The cleanliness of my flat however was a demerit. The flat was well organised but was dusty and had cobwebs everywhere. I bet it was cleaned then left idle for a while

First time visiting De Haan, it was really easy to get to from the UK. We loved the wristbands which were the house key, locker key, and had our families activities and booking all on them! The kids enjoyed being able to let themselves into the house! Access to cycle paths to visit the nearby towns also an added bonus and I would recommend! Service in the bar area could be quite slow as table service only and not many staff available to a large area. Kids loved the indoor play area, it is huge! As a family we felt safe, the kids were able to have some independence because of this. Tried pickleball which was fun! Really enjoyed the fresh bread rolls and pastries being delivered each morning! All in all we would recommend!

The pool was excellent a little dated, busy with local school children who where thankfully well behaved. Night swimming and the outside rapid river was amazing. However really disappointing to find the pool was closed on an event on the last day of our 3 day break! As expected bar , shop and facilities over priced. Cottage well equipped but the shower was like a drizzle, bedding was clean but the actual duvets were rank. A slight smell of stale urine came off the couch. Inside fire out of action which was a shame. There's an outdoor fire which if we'd have bought Marshmallow and sticks for. De hann itself looked beautiful, 15 min drive from bruges which was absolutely beautiful- we went for Xmas markets but they sadly disappointed as in 2 areas with a max of 10 huts selling food mainly then poundshop tat for €10 . But bruges is well worth a visit. We went to Netherlands sluis which was gorgeous worth visiting, we also went ostend which was OK but nothing special.

We stay in the cheapest accommodation and it was quite basic and a bit tired. The site is smaller than the UK Center Parcs but it also has less people share the facilities. It feels less crowded. It is 10 minutes easy bike ride to the beach. The staffs there were young (I guess due to summer holiday) but helpful and polite. The downside was very hot inside the Plaza Center and the indoor soft play during the summer. I recommend this Center Parcs to people who aren’t looking for a luxury holiday.

Beautiful place with lots of stuff to do, see and experience. The bungalows are cute, clean and modern. Check in experience was quick and easy, everyone is super friendly. The area around the park is also great. Will definitely come back again.

We travelled from the UK via Le Shuttle. It's about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Calais. The park has lots of fun things for children: swimming pool with slides, a farm, golf, bike rental etc. The lodges are cute but we found that ours needed some attention and cleaning. The staff were very quick to respond to issues. We cycled out of the park to De Haan itself which was great. Overall would recommend as a European exploration of Centre Parcs.

We enjoyed our stay at Centre Parcs De Haan across a long weekend. The park had lots of activities on offer, though we spent the majority of the time in the pool. Two great hydroslides plus an outside white water rafting slide (which did get busy and a little dangerous with so many people on it). Plus a couple of hot tubs, a separate quieter pool, wave pool, lazy river... lots of variety! The facilities/accomodation are fine, just a little tired, shower pressure was minimal..... almost not enough to wash shampoo out of the kids hair, towels had a couple of stains on them (lipstick/makeup) and not sure why these towels were packaged in plastic bags (so environmentally unfriendly!). But the cottage was roomy and clean with a nice big balcony facing the lake. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The food at the available restaurants was average... but handy to have a supermarket on site too. Wifi available, but very weak - we had to just stay on the 5G network to have a good connection most of the time.

Just home from a decent 4-night stay. As many stated the cottages are recently renovated (we stayed in a VIP one), but few extra bits can be considered: - wooden construction means every time someone walks you hear a pack of elephants walking and lack of AC (i know it can be too much for all cottages but at least the VIP ones could have it) can cause quite a numer of headaches. A small warning - do not use the sauna as cottage cannot cool fast enough and you might be forced to sleep downstairs; - cottages have all the necessary ammenities, including a nice BBQ outside and majority have decent privacy by surrounding trees and bushes; - internet is a disaster - no decent mobile coverage and the ‘premium streaming’ option was reaching the tremendous 1 Mbps which was barely enough to load a mailbox. Luckily we got a refund, but be prepared for surprise. Center Parcs can consider their provider as we understood there are many issues and complaints; - Great bread service option to bring you fresh bread in the morning. A little variety would be appreciated and the chocolate buns were there only once (imagine this with kids); - very good indoor playground where children can play for hours - nice pool with few slides that is open till 9pm - quite a few activities (outdoors) for children and parents incl archery, bike rentals, kids offroad driving and an animal corner; Surrounding towns - Oostende, Blankenberge, Knokke are a few min away and offer all you need.

Beautiful location with the best part of the belgian coast around, and the beautiful village of De Haan within arm's reach. There's a lot of great well curated activities for children and families, and the tropical pool is amazing.

  • 3/5 Ursula 1 year ago on Google
Renowated cottages are nice but small. In the kitchen there is no a lot of spacer either. On the 1st floor there is no bathroom so you need to go downstairs. Swimming is nice however the slides and the tropical river are in concrete which is painful if you hit the sides. The supermarket is big and nice. Village is pleasant, indoor playground is bug. You need to walk to the beach and there are stairs so carry the pushchair in case you need. I was surprised to not to have liquid to wash the dishes in the premium package. Luckily I had one small bottle from the German Center Parc ( that I got with the Premium package !).

I am giving 5 stars because for children it is purely paradise. And happy kids = happy parents. The place is very clean and the renovated premium cottage is much better than in other centre parcs. Beautiful surroundings for walking, beach nearby, lots of activities that keep everyone entertained. Great food as well and the staff always super helpful. A minus would be the fact that we had to pay to use the trampoline (not the price itself but the fact that after what is rather expensive for Belgian standard for a premium cottage in a period of high demand, just to ask 2euros for a trampoline doesn't seem necessary). Activities for children should be included in the price

Great pool and slides, particularly the rapids! Chalets recently refurbished, but would suggest they think about how to secure your bike at the chalets. The Parc doesn't have a lot going on relative to other centerparcs, but the beach and local towns are lovely, and reachable on the most amazing (and typically Belgian) segregated cycle paths. Recommend.

Easy to find. We hired a 6 seater buggy for the whole stay. We'll worth it. Everyone speaks English. Nice House. Lots to do. Good food and drink. Brilliant water centre.

  • 3/5 Glen B. 1 year ago on Google
Over all it is a cool place but several things can be vastly improved with little effort. For example a flimsy A5 menu stappled together is something I would expect at a local swimming pool kiosk, not a Center Parcs resort that cost over €1400 for a 7 night stay. And then the sports bar with no sign of life behind the bar was another surprise especially seeing as this was on a game night when Belgium were playing football. The prices are also pretty high for the activities, and also cleanliness is quite poor throughout the resort as a general statement.

  • 5/5 Fabrice V. 1 year ago on Google
Complex fairly easy to access. Good reception, questions can be asked in English, Dutch and the base in French. The aquamundo is very cool, a very nice exterior river has now been installed too. The rest is quite nice. A buffet area is changed every day for the enjoyment of all ages, but it is best to book a visit time to allow easier organization for the team. Thanks! Happy Holidays to all!

We originally booked a comfort cottage and upon arriving it was clear that our cottage had not been cleaned. The bath was dirt - full of sand and hair. The toilet smelt horrendous and there was sticky residue, dust, greasy finger prints and cobwebs in all the corners. A second person was sent out to clean our cottage and we had to stay away for 2 hours. When we came back, the bath had been cleaned and some of the surfaces wiped down however there was now dirty footprints left all over the floor. We complained a second time and did get offered to be moved to another cottage. The second cottage was much better cleanliness wise and an upgrade to a premium cottage however still left us feeling disappointed as reading the reviews on here, it sure seems cleanliness is an issue! It’s clear this is a management and long running issue, please hire more staff so that longer time can be spent cleaning per cottage. Aqua mundo was great, the outside pool is awesome. There’s good facilities to keep children entertained and in general staff were really friendly and quick to deal with issues, it just shouldn’t be happening over cleanliness especially coming out of a pandemic. I’m hoping changes will be made and maybe we will return.

Good centerparcs to go from UK as only 1hr 15m from eurotunnel. Great pool and rapids, had excellent archery lesson. Not a forest like others so felt less like a normal centerparc but good facilities

  • 4/5 Toro L. 2 years ago on Google
Fun center parcs with lots of options for activities. The swimming pool (aquamundo) is included in your stay. You have to pay extra if you want to do extra activities like archery, minigolf, bowling, spa, luna parc, pool, etc. They also have some mascots that entertain the kids from time to time. If you're hungry/thirsty you can order foods and drinks at the restaurant and bar. There's also an option to attend events like a quiz night, etc. The stay was quite a comfy, organized home with ok facilities. If you forgot to bring food ord drinks, you can also buy stuff at the supermarket in center parcs itself. + It's very close to the sea (+-2km).

Just another center parcs, nice cottages. Big play area for small kids. Nice subtropic swimming pool with some slides also, but not that big ik general. It was very bad weather during our stay, so everyone stayed indoors, very crowded.

  • 5/5 Sandra 2 years ago on Google
We had an enjoyable stay at center parcs de Haan. Our cottage was lovely and had all the amenities you would expect. The aqua mondo was great and didn't disappoint either. We took advantage of the activities that were on offer and did bowling, badminton our daughter did climbing a couple of times. Christophe was a very helpful and friendly waiter and provided excellent service when we dined or enjoyed a post swim drink or meal. I would recommend travelling to Belgium and staying for the week.

  • 5/5 Jensiebooy 2 years ago on Google
This is a very big and amusing park! I loved the tropical swimming resort and the silence and peace outside, you van have your own cabin or little house and it's absolutely worth it. Especially if you also want to go to the sea or walk on the dunes. Had a great time.
