Sint-Janshuismolen is one of four windmills that line the northeastern ramparts and Ringvaart in the Historic Centre of Bruges. It is open for public visitation, providing opportunity for visitors to see the inner workings of a flour grinding mill. Opening hours are 9.30-12.30pm and 1.30-5pm daily. Entry is €4 per adult. In addition to seeing the interior of Sint-Janshuismolen, it is also neat just to view the mill from the outside. There is a walking path that takes you up to each of the four mills, allowing up close views. Sint-Janshuismolen is the second in the line of mills starting from Kruispoort Gate. Note: for good photographs, simply walk down from the rampart hill where you can capture the entire mill in your lens. Also try to visit In the afternoon or early evenings when the sun is at your back. This will allow you to take nice pics of Sint-Janshuismolen with blue skies in the background.

This wind mill is just a short walk from the other wind mill. This one can not go inside. It's close to the public.

An interesting relic of past industry- still working! Climb the steep stairs outside and inside for good views and a fascinating insight into milling. Catch the number 6 or 16 bus from the centre of town and then walk back via the other historic sites en route.

Although there are two nice windmills at the end of city, few tourists visit it and it is a good chance to take nice photos as well. You may also enter one of the windmills by paying 3€.

We visited on 06/04/11. It is one of 4 windmills in Park Kruisvest. It gave us a scenic walk along the water way and we also watched bridges opening for passing boats. Sint-Janshuismolen is a working mill and when we asked the guide whether he operated the windmill, he did so and we were able to watch the mill grind wheat. He explained everything to us in English & willingly answered all our questions. We felt that paying 4 Euros each was good value. The steps up to & inside the windmill were very steep. This was part of the charm, but would mean that for some, it would be inaccessible.

It is 15 minutes of the city's center. Worth going there if you haven't seen the old windmills in the Netherlands. There are three other windmills next to this one

Lovely walk or cycle along a path that follows the canal. Several windmills & toll houses along the way. All flat & easy walking/cycling.

Easy walk from the city center. Unfortunately it was not open to view inside. The sign on the gate said winter months it is only open on Mondays (we went on Sunday) so be cautious if going between October and March.

A great traditional windmill, on the route with 3 others. We hired bikes from Ben’s Bikes and cycled along the route.

Nice windmill. I like that they preserved it in such good shape. There are some more mills next to this along the canal.

This is one of the windmills posted on the north side of the city. No public access that I am aware of. Scenic spot.

The windmill is located in a very beautiful little hilll surrounded by green grass. The area around it is perfect for a picnic or a nap on a sunny day in the summer.

Visited April 2021 with teens. Excellent experience. We took 20 minutes to see and learn all about this windmill with help from superb staff member. I would thoroughly recommend visiting here, really interesting historic piece of technology.

Beautiful windmill not far from the center of Bruges (15-20min on foot). The area also features another 3 mills and amazing green areas for a picnic, a walk or rest.

A unique place to visit when in Brugge! The windmills are situated in this lovely park, 15-20 min away from the centre of town on foot. I discovered them accidentally on Google Maps while researching what to do in Brugge first time I visited and I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend to bring some food and drinks, and also enjoy a little picnic in the park with views of the mills.

Beautiful historic maintained windmill! On the "vests - edges" of Bruges Prachtig onderhouden molen op de "vesten" van Brugge. Foto met de kindjes 😁

(Translated by Google) Very nice and cool lost corner parties! Otherwise a very nice place to get a breath of fresh air and relax. → (Original) Zeer leuke en toffe verloren hoek feesten! Anders ook een zeer leuke plek om eens uit te waaien en tot rust te komen. 👍👌

Impressive. When the wind blows, you will notice. Squeaks, slight movements, and faster grinding speed. You will see how the grinding process works and how the bags are transported up and down the windmill

Great to see the inner workings of an old windmill but 4 euro is over priced

Simply amazing opportunity to see a 250 year old windmill on a 800 year old mound in action still producing flour!

Schöne alte niederländische Mühle. Ob man die von innen betrachten kann, habe ich nicht ausprobiert. Sie sieht einfach nur toll aus.
