This is a must play links course. I enjoyed everything about it including the dried fairways, tall grasses and whisky forgiving areas. This course is great. The only downside was that the greens were punched two weeks ago but we’re healing very well. Some of the elevated tees are just great in particular one with great sea views. The pro shop staff were super nice, so thanks for your hospitality. I had the pleasure of playing this course in a beautiful sunny day with slight wind. I was welcomed by Jochem, a Dutchman from Amsterdam. I was happy for the company as navigating parts of this course were tricky. Jochem made my day as playing golf, is about the experience which having great company cannot be overstated. Just a great day! Happy Canadian 🇨🇦

Good “royal” old links. Holes are generally rather short but can feel endless when played against the wind. Nice varied layout. Only drawback: there are roads and a tram line crossing the course and cutting it into 4 sections. Crossing between sections is confusing and dangerous as cars zip by and there are not always pedestrian crossings

Great service in the club house. Course is ok, especially the holes in the back near the sea.

Royal Ostend Golf Club: Belgium’s only real seaside links course, with many holes making good use of an impressive area of sand dunes bordering the sea. Royal Ostend could easily live alongside the great coastal courses of Britain and Ireland; however, located here on the Flanders coast, it gives Belgium a chance to proudly acclaim its own seaside links golf course.

Played yesterday in the afternoon. The weather was not good, but there was a break so we decided to go out on the course. After three holes the rain was coming down like cats and dogs!! Wind was blowing 31kmh. We decided to quit after 4. When getting back to the club, I asked if we could get a voucher. Then, the first words out of the lady’s mouth in the shop were “You knew what you were getting into before you paid!” And she was rude about it. We understand that we went in the bad weather, but when playing Koksijde the next day, they were shocked by that action. Overall terrible customer experience and even the restaurant was closed!! They should have just gone ahead and closed the course for the day!
