Worth a visit to see the Last Supper in person! You will need to book tickets well in advance. We visited at the beginning of March - low season - and they were completely sold out. They have a pretty organized system. You will need to exchange your voucher for a ticket about 30 min in advance, where you will also need to put your backpacks in lockers. This is all done, along with the green pass/vaccine card check, at the ticket booth to the left of the church. Then you're instructed to line up at the museum entrance where you'll be let in only if it's within 5 minutes of your entrance time on your ticket. They are fairly strict about this and we saw quite a few people turned away. You will need to go through security, then you will have time to read about the history of the church. You'll then be allowed in to see the Last Supper. You're given 15 minutes to see the work and you're free to leave anytime before then. If you'd like to have the Last Supper to yourself, just stay the whole 15 minutes, as most people leave around 5-10 minute mark. It's a wonderful and powerful piece and well worth a visit if you're in Milan.

Just one word : wahou ! It s really beautiful and you get this atmosphere of sacred and peace. Amazing. Could have spent hours here. And the architect of the church is breathtaking. Unfortunately could not go to see the last supper as you have to book months in advance. But the church itself totally worth it !

Church where Leonardo painted the Last Supper. Entry to the church is free, however, to see the actual image you need to buy tickets for a museum that’s about 20m in front of the church. It’s almost impossible to buy them on the spot. Most of the times they are sold for the upcoming 30 days. Your best bet is booking yourself online and planning your visit in advance.

The Last Supper painting on a church wall by DaVinci is definitely worth seeing in person as it's a priceless treasure. It's heavily booked out even in low season. Tour guides craftily snap up all the tickets in advance for month and you have to book with the ones that have them. That being said I managed to get us tickets and it was well worth it. You need to go through security checkpoints and into a vacuum sealed room. They only allow a limited number of people at any given time. The room is kept at a certain temperature to minimize over-tourism. The church was bombed in World War 2 but wall remained intact. So they restored the church around it again. Amazing luck or divine intervention?

The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is known mainly for the painting by Leonardo da Vinci "The Last Supper". However, the temple of Santa Maria delle Grazie is also worth visiting for it's beautiful appearance. Due to it's values the church was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Looking back, I’m extremely pleased that I made this place a priority, despite my busy schedule and limited budget. As the entrance tickets were already sold out, I booked a guided tour, which may appear a bit costly, instead. Luckily, the tour turned out to be worth every penny. - Highly recommend it!

It’s impressive to say the least to see it in person. Maybe more impressive than the Mona Lisa due to size and colours used by da Vinci. Must Book in advance to get tickets. Free lockers to store ya bags/drinks etc before entrance and bags will be searched prior to entry.

Vising Santa Maria delle Grazie was a highlight on our Italy trip. Beware, that shoulders and knees must be covered to enter the church. But to see Da Vinci’s The Last Supper no special dress code is required. We booked a tour from “La Vigna di Leonardo” which is just opposite the street from the church. Our guide was really good and gave a good explanation of everything. During World War 2 the building was bombed and destroyed. It is a miracle that the Last Supper survived. Standing in front of The Last Supper was an incredible experience. Such an amazing and famous piece of art. It was a very intimate experience, because you enter the enclosed room in a small group. Temperature and humidity of the room is controlled to protect the artwork. You will have about 15 minutes in the room before you are asked to leave, and the next group can enter.

Make sure to book your Last Supper ticket many weeks in advance. When I planned my visit they were all sold out and I had to book an expensive 3 hour walking tour just to see it. It was still worth it and the walking tour was interesting, but if you just want to see the Last Supper, you get to do that for a much lower price if you are on time!

You just have to go and see it for yourself. There is also a second fresco on the opposite wall. We were there at 2pm and had timed entrance tickets but all other tickets were already sold out. You have to show the CDC vaccination card, which is accepted in place of the European Green Pass.

Home to the masterpiece ‘The last supper’. The church has interesting exterior design and the refractory where the fresco is practically empty. It’s definitely worth visiting and viewing it and having a guide makes a big difference. We booked the tickets online and the whole experience was satisfactory.

The last supper (l’ultima cena) is a “must see” in Milan. Don’t forget to be there before your reservation since it’s not allowed to bring your bags and it takes time to arrange your entrance. There are lockers for free there. The total time of visiting is 15 minutes . So if you’re late, you gonna loose your time. Better to reserve in advance. Thanks to COVID-19 and lack of tourists you can reserve it easier than before. The ticket costs 15€. If you have a plan to visit, try to go as soon as possible. It’s a great opportunity to visit this masterpiece in reality.

Probably the tourist point number two. Even though this church is beautiful on its own, it is not the building itself that draws the millions of tourists every year. For it is here, where the original of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper dwells. If you want to try to discover if Dan Brown was onto something, or just enjoy the view of one of the world's most famous piece of art, the entrance fee is 10 euro and you can spend 15 minutes with the painting. And don't forget to book in advance. Especially during the high season, the reservations are fully booked months before.

Astonishing, incredible restoration work was done to reveal a remarkable scene of Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci. Observation time limited by 15 minutes. Must be seen in a lifetime. Reservation of tickets has to be done in advance on website.

It is certainly one of the best known churches in Milan. Externally I really liked the architect but internally I found it quite bare, it does not say all that much! Still worth a visit anyway! To visit Leonardo's Last Supper you need to book it well in advance via website and you need to pay to enter it (it is quite expensive btw)

Absolutely beautiful. My English speaking guide was very friendly and spoke very good English. She was very helpful and answered all of my (many MANY) questions with intelligence and precision. The masterpiece itself was stunning and props to all the restoration teams over the hundreds of years. The 45 minute tour was the perfect amount even tho you only get to spend 15mins with the masterpiece. The church of Santa Maria delle grazie was stunning as well, and was very happy to see that it was still in use for church services.

Amazing to see the Last Supper in real life! Definitely worth the visit. Due to Corona you are only allowed to stay in the room for 15-20 minutes. But that’s all the time you need to admire this masterpiece. On the other side of the hall on the wall is another beautiful wall painting.

This church is my favorite in Milan! It is the masterpiece of Donato Bramante and Leonardo da Vinci, both were working together to complete this building. Yes! Even Leonardo helped with the architectural project (as Carlo Pedretti tell us). You can visit it everyday for FREE (only closed for visitation during the holy masses) I love the colorful decoration inside with a lot of knots, reminding me of Leonardo's passion for knots. Leonardo painted the Last Supper in the refectory of the church. He also painted the lunette in the portal in front of the church. The problem is that he chose a technique to paint the Last Supper that was not suitable for wall. The result: the lunette lasted just few years, and the Last Supper resisted because it was inside a room (but it is very damaged). The Bramante's cloister is a masterpiece, revealing a deep philosophical idea to remind man that he can elevate himself to the divine realms. TIP #1> Please, when you go in the cloister, stay quiet for a minute, just sensing how does it feel to BE there. It is a magical place to be still and relaxed, the perfect environment to raise our vibration and feel the connection to god (or the god within us, as a Renaissance man would say). TIP #2: The church offers a FREE (tip based) tour in the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, showing some places that usually are closed to general public, including a Bramante's sacristy with Leonardo's knots!!! Ps- I have a PhD in Sociology and nowadays I am researching this church and Leonardo's legacy in Milan, so if you want to know more and take a original walk while listening to Renaissance philosophy see airbnb experiences

A very interesting church architecture-wise that you can visit for free. The famous 'Last Supper' is not in there of course but in a small museum situated next to the church. If you 're visiting MIlano and you have enough time I suggest you to visit it.

It is worth a visit even if you are not planning to go to see The Last Supper. Gorgeous basilica with a stunning dome attributed to Bramante, the 1st architect of Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. Its geometry is a fiest for eyes and mind. From inside especially.

(Translated by Google) The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in the afternoon, can be visited from 16.00. So we only saw it from the outside. Instead it was possible to visit the Last Supper by booking only the day before (reservations can be made online on the official website, which makes midweek shifts available, usually starting from Monday morning for the following week). Maybe we were lucky, but when I checked the availability for visits on Monday, around 10.00, I could have chosen any time or day, for a group of four people (I believe that a maximum of five admissions per person can be booked). The same day we returned to visit the Castle. Empty rooms. A very small consolation in the era of Covid is to be able to enjoy these masterpieces of art in a Milan that is still almost deserted.

Beautiful architecture and history. It hosts the legendary Last Supper painting but due to covid the shortened visit times can be rough - 17:45 is the last walk in hour. Entry is completely free but for the painting you need to buy tickets (10€ as far as I remember)

(Translated by Google) It’s amazing how much this building has gone through it. Its dining room also functioned as a barn for a while, so it's a wonder that the image of da Vinci was preserved due to ammonia, it's true, it's also the result of a lot of restorations, nowadays we don't really see the original brushstrokes. It was a pity to choose the oil when making the work, maybe if he had chosen a paint suitable for this technique, maybe the work would have been more durable.

During my visit to Italy in 2006, I had the privilege of experiencing the awe-inspiring Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. This UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for housing Leonardo da Vinci's iconic fresco, "The Last Supper," left an indelible mark on my journey through Italy. From the beauty of its architecture to the profound artistic treasure it held within, Santa Maria delle Grazie was a testament to human creativity and spirituality. The exterior of Santa Maria delle Grazie captivated me with its harmonious blend of Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles. The elegant façade, adorned with delicate rose windows and ornate details, beckoned me to step inside. As I entered the church, a sense of tranquility washed over me. The dimly lit interior, adorned with beautiful frescoes and intricate decorations, created a sacred atmosphere that inspired reverence. Of course, the highlight of my visit was experiencing Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper." Standing before this masterpiece, I was captivated by the artist's genius. The delicate brushstrokes, the subtle expressions on the faces of the disciples, and the masterful use of perspective all contributed to the ethereal quality of the painting. It was a humbling experience to witness this iconic work of art and to appreciate its profound historical and cultural significance. The Santa Maria delle Grazie complex also offered serene cloisters and peaceful gardens, providing a tranquil oasis in the heart of the bustling city. It was a place of contemplation, where one could reflect on the spiritual and artistic treasures housed within its walls. Visiting Santa Maria delle Grazie was an unforgettable journey into the depths of art, history, and spirituality. It serves as a testament to the enduring power of human creativity and the ability of art to transcend time. A visit to this remarkable site is a must for anyone seeking to appreciate the beauty of Milan and the masterpieces it houses. My visit to Santa Maria delle Grazie was an enriching and soul-stirring experience. It deepened my appreciation for the artistic genius of Leonardo da Vinci and allowed me to connect with the profound spirituality that permeates the space. Santa Maria delle Grazie is a true gem—a place that deserves the highest accolades for preserving and showcasing one of the world's greatest artistic treasures.

Beautiful small basilica right next to the monastery where The Last Super is located. The red color and the shape of the exterior ravishes the eyes, and announce the wonder hidden inside. Definitely a must-see especially if you visit the painting. The place seems brand new even though it is standing there for centuries. You can see the different styles due to the different updates brought along the years.

All normal tickets were sold out and have to pay about 80euro for a guided tour but it's worth every cent. Though heavily (unskillfully I dare say) restored, Last Supper is the only mural/painting/artwork during this one-month Italy trip that gave me goose bump.

Santa Maria delle Grazie - Holy Mary of Grace - is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The convent contains the mural of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. It’s considered one of Leonardo’s masterpieces and it well worth the visit when in Milan. Pre-booked tickets are a must and it’s worth going on a guided tour as the history of the convent and the mural are fascinating - it’s really good having a guide talk through it and questions are encouraged. Access to the room is controlled so it’s never crowded as the room temperature needs to be maintained for the preservation of the mural. Much if the convent was bombed during the Second World War but the refectory mural wall was heavily sandbagged and remained intact. A lot of restoration work has been done over the years, it’s truly fascinating.

A small museum with the famous painting is impressive, however the management is poor and not very helpful. I should add that I was violently pushed out of the church by the priest during the Sunday mass, and I was not the only one. A shame for someone representing the church, and cultural heritage of Italy...

Quite a beautiful and well presented Church. Brick construction, but intricately designed and built. Inside- beautiful. However, the wrought iron chapel gates should be removed and stone kneeling rails installed to present the Chapels while protecting them from being damaged.

We came here to see Last Supper. When we were buying tickets we need to buy tickets with guide and audio sistem, even if this wasn't our first option. Then we were a little angry because we paid a lot more than planned for something we didn't need. In the end we were very satisfied. The lady who led us was very professional and interesting, we enjoyed listening to her. We learned all about the Last supper and da Vinci. I definitely recommend coming here, with a note that tickets for the Last supper come out every 3 months and you need to buy them as early as possible so you don't run out.

(Translated by Google) @breakexpresso Cousin LEO DA VINCI painted the painting "The Last Supper" (you know the one with Jesus and the apostles at the table? Yes, that one!) It was painted on the wall of the cafeteria OF THIS CHURCH HERE ✨🌈 Continuing with the tour I gave in Milan for a week ... I am not religious, in fact I avoid religious tourism, but the architecture of these places is enchanting. Do you know other curiosities? ✨ included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites ✨In World War 2, American and British bombs hit the church and convent. The cafeteria was destroyed, but some walls survived, including the one where the Last Supper is I couldn't see the painting wall because: COVID-19! But it is still open to the public, so I was able to get in and see a little bit of what it is like inside.

(Translated by Google) Superb church, I highly recommend everyone to visit it, internally it is a real dip in the past little marble but a lot of stone and granite wisely worked, the life-size statues seem to really live, a very characteristic and spiritual place to find yourself in prayer.

Great experience viewing the Last Supper in its original setting. Had not heard before that the medium Da Vinci chose hardly lasted, even during his lifetime, and the painting has been restored at least 7 times through the years by various artists. Brilliant setting at the end of the monastery dining hall. Would have brought great times of reflection at any meal.
