Equestrian monument in memory of Giuseppe Missori which occupies the square of the same name. With its slightly worn appearance, it contrasts, like the rest of the surrounding area, with the modernity of the new buildings and the historical artefacts that remain as evidence of the passing of time. Passing by public transport you don't notice the real dimensions which appear enormous if you approach on foot. Overall it is pleasing to the eye and in good condition.

As a DOC Milanese, I really love this monument with its tired horse, worn out by battle... almost humble... we Milanese have a saying: "Te me parèt el cavall del Missori" that is, "you seem tired to me like Missori's horse" and we address it to those we see tired and dejected. Do you know who Missori is and his importance for our city? Giuseppe Missori was a Garibaldi officer and protagonist of the Five Days of Milan.

The monument is located in Piazza Giuseppe Missori a few steps from the yellow metro line. It is an equestrian monument with its rider. The moment is held well and is bronze from the old cannons. It is the most original statue in Milan a few steps from the crypt of San Giovanni in Conca.

Equestrian monument dedicated to Garibaldi's commander Giuseppe Missori and located in the square of the same name. Bronze statue created by Riccardo Ripamonti, inaugurated in 1916 with the Garibaldi patriot Missori proud on his exhausted horse during the Five Days of Milan. A typical expression of the old Milanese to those who appeared tired was: "Te paret el caval del Missori" (you look like Missori's horse).

Equestrian monument to Giuseppe Missouri, it seems that they used old cannons to create it. Neat and clean.

It's an old monument. The text on the monument is not readable anymore.
