I have lived here at The Vue for 3years and 2 months now. Ive worked with 5 different property managers in that time. Kathleen, Shay, Gena, Angela and now Diana. Kathleen, I did not work with Kathleen that long but Shay and Gena were great property managers. They ensured that tenants needs were met, remained knowledgable regarding things going on in the building and ensured repairs were prioritized. The new property manger not experienced at all. She is extremely rude, dismissive and lies to The Vue's coorprate to get her way. She knows nothing when asked questions regarding concerns tenants have to charges etc. She advises that tenants be fined or threatened when she feels rules in the lease are being broken but she breaks the rules for herself as she is also now a tenant in the building where she has a full gas smoker on the balcony which is against lease policies as well as a huge pit bull. The current property manager issues fines and fees on tenants rent statements with no explanation. Tenants are constantly being threatened with Lawyers and fines. There is no maintenance services being conducted on Friday -Sunday so the building is a complete mess by Sunday morning. In the last 6 months the compactor rooms have been over flowing with garbage and when the property manager is notified she either does not respond to the emails or she responds by saying that a tenants are placing card board boxes in the incinerator and that she will be reviewing the cameras to issue a $100.00 dollar fine towards their rent. I thought that could be true but this issue with the compactor occurs non- stop for 6months straight every Weeknd. Management, corporate never stops by to inquire with tenants about the downslope of the building and tenants who have been living here since the building opened are now leaving every other month. It’s sad because it’s just continuously going down.

I live across the street from this building and all I can say is, the grass, trees and shrubs haven’t been cut in months… it looks like an abandoned building. So, that gives the impression to anyone wanting to rent there that the building is not being maintained on the inside either. Just saying. Note: after I posted this - the grass was cut- once. We are back to weeds and overgrown shrubs. All of the plants on the polifly road terrace are dead. There is litter on the property. Whoever is maintaining this property- isn’t. This building was supposed to elevate this block and area, according to the original plan. I wish there was transparency into what’s going on with it because what I am seeing is not good. I hardly see anyone come in and out of it anymore (it used to be bustling).

We have had a change in management multiple times since I have lived here, each progressively worse than the last. The so called amenities are laughable. 1 of the 2 (yes there are only 2 in my opinion, in spite of the laundry list of things they class as amenities), the gym, has the oldest, barely functioning equipment I have seen in a while. Furthermore, there is an amenity fee and for what, I would never know. Compared to what you get with other buildings in Hackensack, this is not worth the money. The HVAC is a GE unit (shocking for a luxury apartment) so expect your heating bills to be crazy during the winter. With the previous management, at least we were spoilt with air conditioning/heating on our floors so you do not sweat on your walk to the elevator in the summer but that little luxury has been taken away by the new management. It is evident that they will compromise the comfort of their residents to save a little money. This building quite frankly has no right to use luxury anywhere in its description. It is insulting. I gave it 1 star because the apartment itself is aesthetically pleasing. I have stayed this long for sentimental reasons but intend to move out the second my lease is up. P.S. eventually you get used to noise of the constantly moving cars on the highway but I personally still keep my earplugs in.

I honestly don’t know what the negative reviews are about, I’ve lived here for a year now and the staff has gone beyond their own means to accommodate their family. I call them family because that’s exactly how they treat all of their tenants in the building. My view is amazing and i wake up to beautiful sunrises and sleep to gorgeous sunsets. The noise level is tolerable to anyone who ever lived in NYC it’s normal. Free cookies daily and free bagels on Friday’s. They even offered a pottery sculpting class, like c’mon what residential building have you ever heard of that does that. What i love about it is that it’s conveniently located 8 minutes from the GW bridge which gives me a close to home feeling. Stores are a 2 minute drive from the building with a Walmart being one of them. Everyone who I knew that came to the building was impressed by the look all the way to the smell of the building when you open the first door. I would highly advise moving in!

I’ve lived at this property for 3 years. I looked at probably every building in Hackensack and this was the most modern, open floor plan, solid construction I found. You really can’t hear neighbors above or below you. It’s by far the most well-maintained, cleanest property I’ve lived in. Maintenance is on the ball, cleaning crew is here constantly. Management is polite, courteous and fair. (I admittedly make that pretty easy by also being polite, courteous and fair😌)

We lived in this place for more than 5 years and it was very pleasant, the location is very close to major shopping centers and groceries like walmart and costco. Its easy access on all major highways. The apartments are spacious and has beautiful open concept layout. Kitchen is amazing. They have a lounge that we always have big parties and enjoyed our time on the big balcony on the main floor. Luci the property manager is always helpful. I highly recommended this place.

I have lived at The Vue for 2 years and I'm very happy to call this place home. The overall quality of the apartment is top notch (spacious floor plans, nice appliances, high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, concrete walls makes it impossible to hear your neighbors). Our apartment also has a nice view of the New York skyline. Geena, the apartment manager has been extremely helpful with any request and she goes out of her way to ensure the residents are kept happy. She also organizes social events for us to get to know our neighbors. The common areas are sparkling clean and well maintained. The apartment is connected to major highways making our daily commute easier.

I have been a resident at the Vue for 2.5 years and in that short time, our rent has gone up by approximately 30%, with the introduction of a $100 parking charge. Mind you, both myself and my husband were not prepared to move so accepted it. Now, as this is a self-titled ‘luxury’ apartment, there is an expectation for a certain level of basic service and courtesy which had been afforded to us up until this year. In June 2023, the management of the property was taken in-house to our detriment. The service has gone to the dogs. Maintenance requests that were previously sorted quickly now take forever to be resolved. We have had no choice but to get comfortable with being ignored or dismissed when requesting updates. To top things off, we recently had a staff member enter our unit while we were on holiday, without our permission and without notice as stated in our lease agreement. Luckily, our ring camera (which we purchased after noticing something wasn’t as we left it) picked up the activity or we wouldn’t have known. Management failed to inform us about the individual’s entry and the purpose. Despite repeatedly emailing the property manager with our concerns about the invasion of our privacy, we were ignored until we were forced to escalate the matter. Till date (over a month later), we still don’t know why he was in our apartment. Whilst we have overlooked several things like the gate that seems to be permanently broken, pee in the elevators from people’s pets, trash overflowing from the randomly placed shared bin, being ignored, and the subpar gym with the treadmills that are hard on the knees, this takes the cake. I DO NOT recommend this building. If you can help it, do not choose to live here! It is not worth it and it is not value for money. There has been no attempt to improve and I don’t see that changing any time soon!

I know several residents who live here and spent a lot of time here myself. Although pass management missed the mark at times, they always remained professional. The current manager has not only destroyed the moral with residents, she continues to demonstrate petty behavior then tells corporate she is being harassed. She convince certain tenants to write good reviews so she doesn’t look bad. However, the building is dirty, compactor is always full, the floor is stained with vomit, liquid, the lobby door, garage is often unlocked and open. It’s a shame how this was once the best luxury place to live. Don’t waste you money or time, trust me…it’s not worth the aggravation.

I moved into The Vue a year ago.. my experience has been great. The apartment is spacious and well designed! The view is outstanding . I love having access to the gym 24 hours. New management is excellent as well.. Luci has been the change the building needed to make improvements in the quality of life. I hope to remain here for years to come.

Upon walking in, the place smelled fresh as the light shone in through the big glass doors. There were many closets ready for use. The kitchen was beautiful. However, we did wish we investigated further for pots and pans hidden in one of the cupboards. The bathroom had a great aesthetic with marble walls. Our room had a nice bed right next to a big window overlooking the NJ and the NY skyline! Overall, this is basically what I want my future apartment space to look like😊
