Pros - Clean newer hotel, comfortable bed and the check in was fast and easy despite the guy being new. Cons - The shuttle took 45 minutes even tho they told me 20. It's further from JFK and takes a while in traffic hour to get here. If you're like me and CANNOT sleep with bright light, then this is NOT the hotel for you. The blackout curtains are about the WORST I've ever seen in a hotel, they're pretty much non existent, especially on the side of the hotel the sun comes up on. The sun shines through them and wakes you up at 6 AM. Photo attached was taken from room 204 at 6 34 AM.

WORST hotel experience ever! I wouldn't stay here if given a room for free, thus the ZERO stars! To begin, when the shuttle driver dropped us off, we had to walk a few yards to the entrance, and two men tried to mug me and steal my backpack. No security in sight; later I noticed the security guard asleep in the breakfast room! After this traumatizing experience, we went to our room jet lagged from travel. I immediately noticed a rank smell in the room, and wasn't sure if it was the old carpet or cleaning solutions used to clean up the mold in the room. (Yes, we have pictures of mold in the bathroom!) Upon arriving home, my husband developed a severe throat infection requiring a trip to the emergency room, where the doctors said it was most likely from exposure to a toxic substance. Since then, my husband, who has previous health issues became much more agitated and anxious for a few months to come> To sum it all up, the hotel denied that there was an issue, and our brand loyalty went down a notch. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE STAYING IN THIS HOTEL!!! Not worth the aggravation.

The only good thing about this hotel is the relative distance to JFK. Area seems shady, parking is horrible. The staff is very unresponsive and unaccommodating. Kept calling front desk/guest services from room but no one picked up the call. Staff mentioned hotel is fully packed although I was able to book 4 rooms online. If you are looking for using benefits of your Marriott status, don’t come to this place. They’ll make excuse for it. Breakfast is very average, had to wait 10-15 mins just to get a bagel.

Rooms were nice and staff was pleasant until it was time to check out. Rooms were never cleaned during my stay. Nor did the bathroom have hand soap. On Sunday I called the front desk and asked for late checkout and I was told I could check out at 4. I told them perfect but I’ll be out by two. I then scheduled a shuttle pick up to go to the airport. Monday the day of checkout room service came knocking at 12 asking me to leave. I then said I have late check out. I called the front desk and they said they had no record of this. I told them that I spoke with someone and of course they started asking me for the blood type and hair color of the person I spoke to briefly over the phone the day before. I had no information of the person I spoke with. They then confirmed my shuttle time and told me it would be okay to leave at that time. I then leave my room at 1:45 and board my 2pm shuttle at 2:15. While I am enroute to the airport the driver ask me for my terminal i then tell him the airport and the terminal and he then tells me that we don’t go to that airport. Which is confusing because there are two airports in close proximity to the hotel. He then calls the hotel and they instruct him to bring me back to the hotel. The driver turns around and drops me off at the Wendy’s. I then walk with my luggage to the hotel where I requested an Uber. Two days later I check my credit card statement only to find out that I had been charged an additional day of stay. I called and spoke to the GM Christin Thompson, whom I explained the situation to. Instead of listening to my concerns she listened to respond. Her response was stern and loud and she preceded to twist my words to make them fit to her unwavering predetermined verdict. Once I began to match her tone she hung up. I would not recommend staying at this hotel due u professionalism, poor communication, and ill treatment of patrons. What was supposed to be a $590 stay turned into a $1000 nightmare.

Hotel has a good standard and my room was spacious and clean. Breakfast is a bit basic but still in a pleasant lobby. The hotel location is not ideal regarding the unsafe neighborhood but as it provides transport to the airport it might not really matter. Very close of JFK (15’ driving). Metro to downtown is 5’ walk from the hotel. It will take 30 minutes to reach downtown Manhattan.

Bottom line upfront: Do not stay here if you can avoid it. Just the facts: 1. I reserved a king bedroom suite, the front desk gave us a studio room with a sofa bed (please see the photo attached; the sofa bed was not usable). 2. The TV (1 of 2) in the room did not work even after contacting maintenance twice. 3. When we asked for our correct room the front desk said they are negative rooms and I would have to wait until after midnight for cleaning people to come in to clean the room “I already prepaid for”. 4. The front dest never called me to let me know my actual room was ready, I had to call them 1am to find out. 5. Once I got my key for the correct room, my Mom was already sleep in the room we were originally given (again it’s past 1am) and they said that everything in the room has to go to the new room by the “Marriott Transfer Policy”. I asked if she can just remain sleep and I’ll go to the new room. They called my Mom in the original room to wake her and they told her she had to go. So we moved her at 2am. (My opinion inserted for this sentence) I understand the Marriott Transfer Policy, but they went by the letter of the law instead of the spirit of the law - no reason to move her at 2am when we would have been out by 7am. 6. We get to our actual room we paid for, and both TVs did not work even after maintenance came by twice the day. My Mother fixed the TVs on her own by looking at the wiring issues. My plan was to bring this up to the managers first, but neither was in when we were checking out.

Newer hotel, very clean. The parking is separate from room price, $36/per day. No pool. Can't comment on breakfast since we kept getting up after 9am. Excellent front desk service 😁.

A convenient location about midway between JFK and La Guardia airports, but pretty sparse if you are looking for a nearby restaurant to eat out! Rooms were excellent size and very well appointed and very comfortable bed! Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection of hot and cold food and drinks and fruit and yogurt though only plastic cutlery and cups. Checking in was slow as it was a busy time with many flights cancelled. Check out was very quick. Overall I was very happy as the desk in the room and WiFi access allowed me to get a lot of work done.

THE BEST CHOICE ON THIS SIDE OF TOWN. Since June 2022, Springhill Suites has been my go to spot when I return to my hometown. I have been a guest here 13 times. Overall my experience has been good. The front desk staff was extremely responsive and the breakfast staff was quite cordial. Shout out to Paul, Jewel, and Eric. The manager was quite the opposite but luckily other hotel administration and corporate intervened. Despite my concerns not being properly addressed, I will continue to stay here in the future. To navigate the neighborhood requires a heightened level of awareness but the hotel's location provides easy access to transportation (bus, subway, Long Island Railroad). Restaurants, other than fast food, are a short bus ride or Uber ride away in Forest Hills right down Queens Boulevard. If you drive the Van Wyck Expressway is a block away and quickly connects you to other major arteries. Parking can be challenging. There is metered parking in front of the hotel, but you can also find spots on the adjacent streets behind the hotel just be sure to read the street signs.

Great rooms and breakfast. Airport shuttle to the hotel takes awhile to get to the pick up point. Plan for 30 minutes to just get to the shuttle pick up spot. Shuttle to the airport is much smoother and better drop off. Lots of construction around JFK.

Excelent service from front desk. I had an issue with my booking and they helped me through it. The cleaning staff are also friendly. The shuttle bus runs every hour, just sign up at the front desk prior to make sure they are spaces available.

Good customer service, even room # are quitter. New Hotel, room are clean and tidy. Location is not the greatest, but train station is nearby to head downtown New York (Manhattan) and Queens. Pretty quiet area, fast-food restaurants and bars close by.

Thank you Eric for helping me navigate through the rambunctious front end parking system and other various things. If it wasn't for him i would've lost my mind. Eric went above and beyond from making my check- in process smooth to drop off at JFK in a timely manner. The hotel is very clean , modern and comfy. I enjoyed my stay very much. Provided breakfast and shuttle service are a great bonus.

Can not express enough my immense gratitude to the front desk employee. She deserves a raise!! We arrived on a delayed flight in the early morning hours, and she made us feel like we were arriving at friends' home. Helped us find a quick bite to eat, provided us great recommendations, helped walk us through ordering options, she truly went above and beyond with everything we asked for and more. Many, many thanks for your exceptional service and hospitality🙏

Clean. Friendly service. Young man up front has a wonderful smile and sunny disposition. I told the manager - he is the best! Clean room and good walkable location. Would stay again. Breakfast was good too.

This hotel is suited to locals/business clients. There is no drinking water or sugar and milk sachets to make a hot drink. There is a fridge microwave and coffee machine. As a visitor a hotel without room service/catering should have better facilities to make a hot drink. The rest of the room was great (bed, bedding,TV, bathroom).

The hotel is in a good area for food choices and public transit. Customer service was nice, breakfast was good. Room 314 needs a new lock, every time I opened the door, it had to be wiggled just right to get it to close, I forgot to tell the front desk. I would recommend this hotel.

Everything fine. the only negative is there is no soap for washing your hands. Not really a big deal but would be nice to have.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Springhill Suites near JFK, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. This particular location is conveniently located near JFK, just a short eight or 10 minute walk from Jamaica station if you take the air train. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Their friendliness and helpfulness truly stood out, and they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. It's always refreshing to encounter such genuinely friendly staff members. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. The rooms, common areas, and facilities were all meticulously maintained, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. I appreciated the attention to detail and the effort put into keeping everything spotless. For anyone needing accommodations near JFK, I highly recommend Springhill Suites. The convenient location, coupled with the exceptional friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel, make it an ideal choice. Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, this hotel provides a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I am grateful for the wonderful experience I had at Springhill Suites and would definitely choose to stay there again in the future. Kudos to the staff for their outstanding service and to the management for maintaining such high standards of cleanliness. Ask about getting GOTYOU rewards cash

Staff members were extremely friendly and the rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. Lots of fast food across the street which is perfect for late night and early morning travelers. Best perk is the free airport shuttle with only a 15 minute drive to JFK!

We were stuck in Queens due to a cancelled flight at JFK - as I stood in the ticket rebooking line at JFK I was just trying to make sure we had someplace to sleep for the night as there were hundreds of people around me in the same boat and I was afraid we weren't going to be able to get a room. So I was simply looking a relatively nearby Marriott I could get to easily (we had a lot of luggage) and the website indicated that there was a shuttle. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for the room considering that it's not in a great neighborhood, it's not really that close to the airport (the shuttle took forever since we were the first ones to call it), the air conditioning in the bedroom was pretty weak (the one in the living room worked fine, though that didn't do much good when we were trying to sleep) and there wasn't a liner in the shower curtain, so the bathroom flooded when we took showers. Pros: The room was large (I'd have happily paid less for something that was not a one bedroom suite that I very much did not need), it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk worker was doing a great job considering the long line of very grumpy stranded travelers standing in her lobby as she handled check-ins by herself. Another benefit is that it's really close to the E train, which is the train we took into midtown the following day where we'd rebooked a nicer Marriott in a better area for less money for the following two nights that we were stuck. If the price for this room hadn't been so high (well over $400 for a Monday night for the lowest price room), I'd probably raise my rating, but it's not worth that price point.
