JCPenney is now an extremely greedy company. I used to love JCP and shop there w my family for its name recognition implying friendly customer service, easy to find items, variety of size and good prices. I’ve moved further from the store and now shop online. This is what happened to my order: I placed an online order and paid w PayPal, which usually sets the delivery address. However, JCP overrode PayPal and set the delivery address to an old address on file with them. I noticed it immediately after placing the order and within a minute went to cancel and restart another order. The screen said “you can cancel this order within 30 minutes” I clicked cancel and it said the order couldn’t be canceled and to call the number. I called the number. The representative surprisingly, could not cancel or edit the order 12 mins after I placed it. He said he’d “create a case” for the order and told me JCPenney would contact me within 3 days. I though, great! they’ll probably change the address and let me know - as other companies do, given how early it was caught. A week later, I receive an email saying my order was delivered (to an address I don’t live at). I called again and the representative had no explanation for why my “case” wasn’t taken care of or responded to and said there’s nothing he could do. I asked about a refund arguing that JCPenney didn’t follow through with their part of the agreement and I did everything that I was asked to but all he said was that the money could not be refunded. So, in short, even though I did everything that I was instructed to do, JCPenney did not honor their online cancelation policy, did not allow their own representatives to fix the problem they created and management did not follow through when the case was escalated. They sure have lost me, my family and close friends as customers. I patronized JCPenney because I associated their name with a positive reputation but their reputation is now the reason I will never buy at JCPenney again!

Every time I wanna purchase an item, there’s always a long line and 1-2 cash registers open. Its frustrating and frankly the cashiers take their sweet time. They need to have more registers open or hire more people if necessary

My favorite spot. good quality clothes for affordable prices. The only thing! I wish they would bring back the variety of skirts they once carried. As one who always needs to be dressed for the office, this is important. Please bring back the skirts. 😊

Everyone was very helpful even with the Christmas rush. Needed help with finding a Christmas sweater for a 13 year old, and two employees helped me to get that done!

Last week I visited the jewelry department and had a disappointing experience. Let me start this review off by saying that I come from a sales background and fully understand the frustrations when you don’t make a sale. However, I was given poor customer service and it really bothered me. I came into the jewelry department with my husband and daughter expecting & very ready to purchase a wedding band. Right away an older woman was ready to help me, great. I was very honest with her on budget and explained that I needed to stay within this specific budget because my wedding is abroad & I’m also already married so I wasn’t being picky about other details. I just wanted a beautiful and affordable ring. She showed me one that was perfect and I loved it but it was $2000 more than what I wanted to spend, so I was confused since I gave her my budget. I tried to brush it off but I was slightly disappointed. Not only did this sales person continuously disrespect what I said by bringing me more expensive rings, but she also made comments that were unnecessary. She said things like “well why don’t you just spend a little more, the quality is better” and “you don’t want that ring, it’s not as nice” that’s my choice if I think something is nice. I repeated again to her that the quality wasn’t of importance to me at this moment, I just needed something affordable. She then showed me 2 rings in budget, they were nice but at this point I was just uncomfortable and didn’t want to buy. My husband noticed I was visibly upset and I told him I changed my mind. I told the saleswoman that I would think about it and she said “wow, that’s really sad. I spent all this time showing you rings and you don’t want to buy?” My husband said “she doesn’t want to.” And we walked away. I took my business to Macy’s and ordered a ring the same day with someone who wasn’t pushy and respected my budget. Bottom line here is that if I had the budget to buy the first ring I would’ve. I’m usually not a stickler for poor customer service but I was bothered by the constant upselling and I continuously repeated to her what I cannot afford. It became rude and careless. And for her to go as far to say “I spent all this time showing you things” my love, that’s your job. Whether I buy or not and I WANTED TO BUY. Do better.

Would give 0 stars... No a/c Dusty Fans pointed at poor cashiers Way overpriced Dated selection (Some of the stuff actually looked old and dusty) It's too big of a place for this sleepy store. it feels like they're on the verge of closing. Most importantly, I'm Latina and felt discriminated there when I asked about a fitting room in the woman's dept. The attendant literally ignored me when I asked if it was open, then finally yelled at me that it was closed. While someone of her own culture was actively using the fitting room and trying on several pieces. I asked if there was another fitting room I could use, and she yelled again at me to "just go upstairs" as she laughed and spoke another language to the lady trying on a mountain of clothes. I will not, for all these reasons... shop there again.

They have a good selection of clothes to choose from, good quality too and the prices were decent too but it was the cashier Sonia that made me so pleased. She was so helpful so patient and so respectful. Thanks JC Penny and thanks Sonia and we will most definitely come back!

Experience a wide range of products at unbeatable prices for the entire family. The only downside? The checkout line tends to get crowded.

Went with my wife so she can purchase some gym attire. The line was horrible. We ended up going downstairs to the men's department no lines at all.

Don’t waste your time. I wasted 2 hours of my life in this store. Employees no idea where departments are. The shoe section was a hot mess. Hats and gloves cheaply made but with a high sticker price. Clothes looked really cheap and not fashion forward. Looked for cosmetics and could not find it. Staff dazed and confused

First floor closed. Second floor crowded and some construction going on. Third floor no AC... absolutely revolting. We couldn't go through the fitting room ... Everything was stikin and we're sweating. We just left.

Fantastic customer service - checking out was not a hassle at all. Items with different sizes and labeled are available so no need to dig through the pile to find it.

Please don’t spend your money in this store I’ve had the worst experience no one was able to help or accommodate me in any way I made a purchase and by mistake forgot to change the address when I called to change it I was informed that the policy is that they are unable to change any information after 30 minutes after the order was made so I can’t even cancel my order unheard off now my order is going to Texas I live in NY worst shopping experience ever.
