Stayed overnight at the property on my way to travel overseas. As a TA reader and Platinum member I was stunned to read what turned out to be an incorrect review for a different property by a reader claiming bad encounters. And I totally agree with Nicole T who commented this is one of bet hotels in/out of the City. Infact I reached out to the GM after reading the negative review and GM Applewhaite was quick to respond. Chartwell Hospitality manages great properties . Checking in late last night I was warmly greeted by Kevin at the front desk who explained all the hotel features, where I could pick up a snack or dinner at the nearby Hilton (who refers to a competitor..so very nice since there is no F&B as yet) In al my stays my first”VIP customer of the day” and a nice surprise in my fridge. Room spotless, spacious, all the appliances , showers big and no noise. Staff very friendly, warm/hot breakfast served by friendly staff. I met the GM this morning to thank him for an awesome stay. My go to in the future and I highly recommend not only for stays to the airport but a long term stay in the city and transportation is very accessible One request please tip the breakfast staff and housekeeping GM Applewhaite, Kevin and staff YOU ROCK!!!!

We had a layover (flew into JFK and flew out of LGA to next day). On the way to our final destination we stayed at the Courtyard two hotels down, on the way back we stayed at the Residence Inn. The experience is incomparable. We have stayed at several 15+ Residence Inns and this is the best one! From our arrival the staff was friendly, energetic, helpful etc. The rooms are modern, clean, cozy, the shower was amazing. Then the BREAKFAST! WOW WOW WOW! I felt like I was in a restaurant instead of a hotel breakfast, the staff was helpful, they even were making smoothies and passing them around to guests, the food was incredible, felt fresh compared to other hotel breakfasts. I would 100% recommend for staying overnight for the airport. It is not close to the city so I can not speak on ease of commute. But this was the perfect stay between our flight.

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could. The staff is absolutely above & beyond in their courteousness and hospitality--my partner and I are NYC locals and have stayed at this hotel multiple times when dealing with apartment issues. It's a brand new hotel. The rooms are quiet, very comfortable, well-designed and well-equipped rooms--one of the front desk staffers told me that a Delta ground crew once stayed there for three months, so that tells you something about the place. There's good tables and booths in the lobby if you need to get work done--also, breakfast is really quite good. (The Quimby, the restaurant in the Marriott JFK across the parking lot, is great if you need a place to eat/drink and don't feel like going far.) It's definitely one of the nicest airport hotels I've stayed at, and (probably) the only long-term hotel near JFK. It's not a terribly glamorous location, or very accessible by subway, but there's usually street parking nearby. I haven't used the JFK shuttle, but have noticed that it runs very regularly and promptly. However--the most exceptional thing about this Residence Inn is the staff. Everyone--from the front desk, to management, to the housekeepers, security, kitchen crew and valet drivers--is incredibly kind, thoughtful, helpful and competent, in the way that only New Yorkers can be. They will go out of your way whether you're a Queens local or a tourist or business traveler--doesn't matter. I'm a frequent international traveler and have stayed everywhere from the most primitive accommodations to high-end hotels in thirty-odd countries--this is really one of the best places I've ever stayed, full credit to the staff.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were tasteful, quiet, and clean, and the service was beyond my expectations. I am ever so grateful to the hotel manager, Leo, who found my personal sentimental item I left in my room, and was able to return it to me. Thank you, Leo! I arrived at JFK airport close to midnight, and I called the front desk to let them know to expect me. From the airport, you have to get to the AirTrain and take a 10 minute ride and get off at Federal Circle Station, which is where the hotel shuttles pick up. The hotel shuttle arrives every half hour. I was glad that I called the front desk to inform them to pick me up at the hotel shuttle pick up spot, because I rushed to get there on the hour but I just missed it by 3 minutes. Luckily, another one arrived less than 10 minutes later, because Kevin at the front desk dispatched the ride for me, so that I did not have to wait out in the open at night. Thank you Kevin from the night shift front desk!

Everything about this place speaks 5 stars!!! Customer service was superb. The rooms are very clean, modern, and spacious. They offer complimentary breakfast, even a breakfast to go if your flight leaves before 7am, complimentary shuttle service that operates 24 hours every 30 minutes to and from the airport. This is the best Residence Inn I have ever stayed in! Definitely worth staying here.

Located very close to JFK with the most accommodating airport shuttle option (pickup at terminal vs air training to a central location), we were happy to find this hotel after searching around. Our flight was cancelled which caused alot of headaches. The front desk staff were very kind during our stay and that allowed us to relax for a bit while we handle the flight issue.

The property location was ideal for our layover in NY, plus, the airport shuttle to and from JFK was wonderful! The studio king room was perfect for our 1 night stay. It had a nice kitchenette equipped with dishes and utensils that came in handy for our local Chinese delivery. The Residence also has complimentary breakfast with many options to choose from! Would recommend and stay again on any upcoming travel where you need to rest your head.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott JFK Airport and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel not only offers comfortable and spacious rooms but also provides a range of amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights for me was the option of a healthy continental breakfast. As someone who values a nutritious start to the day, I was delighted to find a wide variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, whole grain options, and other healthy choices. I loved the egg whites and turkey sausages!!!! It was a great way to fuel up for the day ahead. Additionally, the gym facilities at the Residence Inn were top-notch. The fitness center was well-equipped with modern exercise machines and weights, allowing me to maintain my fitness routine even while traveling. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a well-maintained gym within the hotel. But what truly stood out during my stay was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. From the moment I checked in, every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had, making me feel right at home. Overall, my experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott JFK Airport was exceptional. The option of a healthy continental breakfast, the excellent gym facilities, and the super friendly staff truly made my stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay near JFK Airport.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were very courteous and professional. My only negative was that there was too much light at night when trying to sleep. Between the microwave light, the light from the hall under the door, the light from the curtains, the light from the clock, and the blinking light from the smoke detector, it was awfully bright and hard to sleep, especially for someone like me who likes it very dark when sleeping.

First let me say the staff was awesome. Natasha, Tracy( manager), Kevin, and Ryan were wonderful. The room was clean and just like the photo. The lobby was really nice. As a Marriott member I wouldn’t expect anything less. The breakfast was good, I’ve had better and more choice, but overall it was good. It’s really close to the airport and in a residential area which was a bit odd to me but still nice, which is why I only gave location a 4 star. There’s nothing in the area that’s within walking distance. Overall the Residence Inn was great. I made the mistake of booking through Expedia instead of directly with Marriott and couldn’t earn any points 😕. I would definitely stay here again.

I’m going 5*. The hotel is convenient to JFK and shuttle service is excellent. Drivers are super friendly. Hotel staff is friendly as well. Special thanks to front desk for holiday wishes and breakfast staff for hard work. Rooms are super clean and modern. Only complaint is food options but I knew that was limited when I booked. Well done.

Excellent stay at this hotel. All the staff, from the shuttle driver, to the front desk staff, to the breakfast staff were amazing and friendly. Very professional overall…can’t say this for most Marriott properties. Rooms are well appointed to the business traveller. Platinum status is handy as my international flight didn’t leave until 8pm, so late 4pm check was great. Only cons are location as, although great for transiting commuters as it’s close to JFK, there’s really nothing to do in the immediate area. Hotel has no restaurant (aside for breakfast buffet, which was excellent by the way), so I had to eat at the Hilton adjacent to the property (which I only learned about from super friendly shuttle driver) Otherwise I will likely stay here again if I’m connecting overnight on a flight. But would definitely not stay here if I plan a trip to NYC due to location only.

An overnight stay for an early morning flight, and the place served its purpose well. Clean facilities, although the breakfast options were somewhat limited—I opted for a bagel and waffle. The airport drop-off and pick-up were punctual, with a very professional driver. The front desk staff efficiently handled their responsibilities. Overall, a commendable experience. I would recommend it.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. Staff are very warm and friendly, and always willing to assist. The public areas are always clean and there's a lingering fragrant smell on the hallways that's very relaxing. Most of what you'll need if you're staying for an extended period are provided for. There is a laundry room at the cellar so you can do your own laundry. If I had to pick an area that could use some improvement, it will be the breakfast menu - it could use some variety. Great experience overall .

Very nice. We loved the breakfast buffet spread they had. A quick call from the airport and a shuttle bus picked us up. There is also a food court with specialty takeout restaurants and a grocery store right across the alley out the back door.

We stayed at this Residence Inn due to an overnight flight connection. The staff were absolutely fantastic. From the pre-check-in emails to the shuttle drivers to the front desk staff, everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything taken care of. Rooms are clean and comfortable and up to date.

The staff at this particular hotel are amazing. Mark and Kevin and the front desk were simply awesome. The complimentary breakfast everyday was top notch. Althea, Chef Kevin, Kareem, Shawn, Steven were awesome. They were pleasant and always on point. The house keeping staff was great. Althea gave my daughter the most beautiful earrings and she loved them. This was our 2nd time staying here and they did not disappoint. Stay here and they have a shuttle to take you to and from the airport

The staff is so friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful. We had a one night stay prior to an early AM flight and they were unbelievably accommodating and helpful. Absolutely five-star customer service, cleanliness, and convenience. Bonus points for the bed being super comfy!
