Reading these reviews helped me to realize that I’m not the only one who was treated poorly by this doctor. I have never had a doctor put me in tears before and make me feel like I’m doing everything wrong. I have waited over a month to get put on medication for depression and anxiety because I’ve decided to get off of medication when I was pregnant and breast-feeding. I am having a really hard time with my anxiety and need medication ASAP but the doctor I used to see left the office. I booked an appointment with Sophia and I had to video call her from my car because my house cleaners were inside of my house and I had just picked up my children from daycare. My baby was fussy because he doesn’t like to sit in the car. At first, she told me that my signal was horrible and that it wasn’t going to work until I told her I don’t know what to do. That I had no other option. I then stepped outside of my car, just outside my driver side door, and the signal was better, but she told me that I was making her dizzy by moving the camera. I asked her if we could just do a video call with no video and she told me no. Then she asked me why I was letting my baby cry and I told her it’s because he doesn’t want to be in his car seat and she told me that she can’t do the appointment because I shouldn’t be leaving my baby in the car. Making it seem like I was Abusing my child by neglecting him and leaving him in the vehicle. I was literally standing right outside my driver side door with the window down, and the air conditioning was on. I never walked away from my vehicle or left the baby unattended. She refused to do my appointment for that reason and told me that I had to try to reschedule. At that point, I was done after sitting on the phone with her for almost 10 minutes with her complaining about every little thing. I told her that I would be rescheduling, but with a different provider because it’s clearly not going to work out, and I didn’t appreciate her attitude. She simply smiled and said OK and hung up on me. I now can’t get into any doctors because the only other doctor that takes my insurance only does 10 AM appointments and I cannot take time off of work for that.

Very frustrating company to work with. Although they will charge you for missing or being late for an appointment, they do not keep up with their own rules. I was kept waiting an hour and a half for a teleconference. Just because the doctor was too important to deal with his client. It's one of those companies that forgets where their money is coming from, when I have spoken to receptionists, several of them were genuinely rude, borderline snotty to me. And it's something when someone half my age talks down to me and his condescending. Very unprofessional. As far as the paperwork goes, they're terrible there as well. The program they use is slow and non-responsive, did not work well with my phone and took several times just to fill out the basics. They're quite hypocritical in that are very strict with their rescheduling policies, every one of them centered around milking more money from their patients. Overall these are uncaring, shysters. I would avoid this place like the plague. I can't wait to get the form letter response telling me how sorry they are, and then never contact me again. Shysters through and through.

I have been going to LifeStance for a few years and my doctor was great. He went to a private practice and I was passed to Sofia Encarnacion. She made me feel so terrible. Did not care to listen. The most unprofessional Dr I have ever seen. I don’t need to get into detail but the convo lasted 3 minutes before she dismissed me and said my job wasn’t detail oriented enough to get the meds I’ve been on for over a year. That’s fine. But she was so rude and wouldn’t even take the time to listen to my history or my previous diagnoses from other doctors. Don’t know why she is in this field when she obviously doesn’t care for people. Leaving LifeStance now.

Bad experience with LifeStance especially re: communication. I saw a therapist for a few sessions, then when she bailed on my next appointment, I learned she had left the company. Nobody informed me of this, I had to reach out to see why she seemingly ghosted me. Then, I selected a new provider and booked an appointment one month out (her first available). I log on today and she messages me from the waiting room saying she can't take on new clients and someone was supposed to call me about this last week, which they never did. As a new person to therapy, where it can take a lot to pursue this and be vulnerable, this kind of experience is very demoralizing.

Worst experience I ever had. Psychiatrist was so rude with me. Her name is Sofia Encarnacion. Be careful to choose her. She is a psychopath. She needs mental assistance. She doesn’t deserve to serve people. She was treating me like a slave.

Sophia is the worse ever, just verbally abuses and discriminates and just shouldn’t be working in this field clearly. I think a report to the BBB is in order along with everyone who’s been abused by this person. Absolutely disgusting behavior especially reading all these other comments about her I’m surprised she still there I think the whole office needs to be reported for allowing her to continue to work there. She is the reason why people with mental health issues don’t seek help or give up!

The 2nd star to acknowledge the excellence of Dr Malaty, in my case. I cannot even begin to comprehend the incompetence of this healthcare outfit. It took me half a dozen phone calls to get them to fax a lab order to Pacific Diagnostics, and I’m not exaggerating. Besides this, I was told 14 months after the fact that Cencal was not covering my bills because I was covered by medicare. If my wellness didn’t obliquely depend on Lifestance’s reliable and efficient performance, it would actually be funny. So now I owe out-of-pocket nearly 6 grand— there was no apology, and no accountability, even tho this was obviously a clerical error on the part of this rag-tag retarded service. Go elsewhere, go as far elsewhere as you can. My psychiatrist— blameless, unaffiliated with office machinations— has been excellent. The morass you have to weather, and get through, makes the competence of my Dr seem incidental. It’s not hyperbole: I have never witnessed even third hand such sloppy etc etc.

Excellent, very efficient, and cordial staff who always greet you with a smile. I only see Dr. Meyerovich but that is because he is the best psychiatrist you could hope to find anywhere!! He is compassionate, patient, understanding, and highly intelligent. We folks who live in this beautiful area are also extremely fortunate because we have access to such superior quality mental health care….thank you!!!
