Great gem for fine dining in Aruba. Beautiful multi-room dining inside and outside courtyard. Staff throughout very welcoming and friendly providing efficient knowledgeable service. Full bar and a very nice varied menu. Opted for some traditional dishes, all well prepared delicious. Save room for dessert and an after dinner beverage to round out a fantastic culinary experience on the happy island of Aruba. So many nice touches, even the check is delivered in a cute little basket.

I have been here a few times now and every single time it impresses. The people working there are very nice and efficient. The ambience is great and decorations there are very pleasant. You can’t go wrong with any dish — they are all tasty. Portion sizes are ample and even presentation is great (see picture). If you’re looking for a dinner with a great atmosphere and delicious food, consider Bistro de Suikertuin.

Cozy and chill ambiance, great value for money. Food is dutch Indonesian fusion and pretty tasty! The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. Not that many places in the area where you can find dinner plates for under $15! I can totally understand why people come and return during their Aruban vacation just to get away from the over-hyped places nearby. Note: see the menus I've posted. These are accurate as of Dec 2022. There is one in Google reviews that is clearly for a different restaurant. Bistro de suikertuin is not "fine dining" though the ambiance is great.

Suikertuin, the name says it all. A sweet garden, and indeed everything is good and sweet. From the mouth-watering food to the excellent service to the traditional lime-stone walls and lovely garden, there is much this little place has to offer. We enjoy Suikertuin and we are sure you will to! A must try.

This was such a charming little spot. The patio is adorable and from what I could tell, there wasn't a bad seat inside. The menu was very unique and everything we ate was delicious. Will definitely come back on our next trip!

Fantastic meal in their inner courtyard. The ambience at The Bistro is really perfect with the gentle Aruban breeze. My steak was perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken schnitzel which was also excellent. We had the key lime pie for dessert. It was more like a key lime cheesecake so would highly recommend.

Super quaint place! Will totally come again and recommend for other travelers. Lunch was fantastic. Has front patio, air conditioned inside and lovely back patio covered by trees. We missed the Saturday morning (11am) mimosa brunch ( endless mimosas). But next time. Yummy cocktails too!

My husband and I just happened upon this adorable bistro while we were driving down a back street. I'm so glad we decided to pop in on a whim - it was the best experience we had in Aruba and was the perfect way to end our stay on the island. We had a lovely chat with a few team members and it was so relaxing. Great service and atmosphere. We'll definitely return when we come back!

Just went back again middle of August 2022. Food was wonderful. Fresh and full of flavor. Tried new dishes and was not disappointed 😊 salmon quiche and salad, and lightly fried fish with salad and vegetables. Delicious!! May 2022. Nice little cozy house turned into a restaurant. Food was wonderful and service was great. Will definitely go back.

This place was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly, the food amazing, and the environment cozy. We were given a complimentary salmon appetizer (I can't remember the name of it) that was so good. The portions were very generous. I firmly believe the only reason this place wasn't packed was because it's a little off the beaten path. It's located in downtown and easy to walk to, but kind of tucked away on a side road. If this place was on the main street it'd constantly be packed. I'd definitely put this place as a must-visit for anybody coming to Aruba

Very delicious food! Comes out fresh and tasty. You can tell that it is homemade. All the flavors came together well and it was a perfect spot for lunch. My belly is satisfied. We got the truffle pasta and grandma sukarde dish. Highly recommend you check out this restaurant if you’re in Aruba!

The atmosphere was great. It is a lovely place. The service was good. The food was mediocre. I chose chicken schnitzel but they didn't have it. So I ordered a crispy chicken which was so dry and tasteless. On the other hand the other food we ordered was too salty.

Outstanding food, atmosphere, and hospitality, absolutely worth the walk from the cruise port (though they were kind enough to call a taxi for our return trip). There were so many things we would have chosen off the menu that we knew we'd have to stop by again on our next visit--but our sandwiches were so delicious that we might just order those again! We found this vegetarian friendly restaurants about 13 mins walk from the Renaissance marketplace. The iced coffee are really good. we order two soups, curry rice, pasta and nacho. all with vegetarian options. we cleaned the plates. the portion is good, very delicious and flavourful.The price is very reasonable. I wish I had space left for dessert because they all look very yummy also. I would recommend any persons visiting Aruba to try this place.

This quaint off the beaten path bistro was so cute inside and out. Everything is homemade " Dutch style". Must have the dutch apple pie. There were 4 of us and everyone loved their meals. The wait staff was courteous and the patio was nice. Oh yeah the price cant be beat. We will be back.

An amazing little place a *little* off the beaten path. A quick walk down from the main Tourist area by the Cruise ship terminals and the shopping area that will be well rewarded. Parking can be tricky given limited availability in the area, so keep an eye out as you approach (if driving). Located in a quaint little shop, the seating can handle both a romantic dinner for two, or a large family gathering equally well. The staff is excellent... attentive (with out being annoyingly so), knowledgeable and willing to explain the dishes/drinks, and engaging with a good sense of humour. The food was excellent (no notes, you can't go wrong... pick anything... especially if it sounds a bit odd). The local Aruban dishes are a contrast in flavors and textures that might sound odd to an American palette, but are worth the adventure. Drinks are well done and not over priced with a range from the sweet headache in a glass, to a refreshing sip on a hot and muggy Aruban night (Limonchello Sparkle is perfect for the heat).

Seated in the back garden and practically had it to ourselves during our visit. It was lovely. I had the passionova drink, very tasty. We shared the tuna duet and a main course of chicken curry. The curry was very good and the tuna was very well prepared. Only suggestion would be Ginger or Sesame sauce to accompany the Tuna., we requested soy. The staff was attentive and we relaxed sipping our drinks and enjoying the evening in their lovely garden patio.

If you want a pleasant meal with lots of great Dutch choices, this is a good spot. Nice seating indoors or on garden patio. Even though it had been a year since we dined there, our waitress remembered us and we enjoyed chatting with her again. Good sized portions and always tasty.

We were close by and did a search of nearby places serving lunch. Read a couple of reviews and quickly decided this was the place for us. Let’s just say it did not disappoint! Charming restaurant with a lovely decor and warm vibe. Paula was our host/server and she was a delight. The food was excellent as was the wine and Dutch coffee. We skipped the dessert as we were sated. Met and spoke with the owner, Kim, briefly, and passed along our kudos. Will be returning the next day for dinner!

Generous portions! Normally my wife and I finish every bite but this time we asked for a doggie bag because the portions were really big! The price was reasonable too. Only small issue was that the chicken schnitzel and chicken cordon bleu were not breaded, just plump and juicy grilled chicken filets but with all the expected trimmings. The name "bistro" doesn't do this place justice. It's a full service restaurant with a proper restaurant ambiance!

Amazing food with way better prices than you’d see in the tourist part of town. Very easy to get to, a 5 minute walk from the Renaissance area of Oranjestad. Many of the ingredients are sourced from Europe and the food is out of this world. It’s like what you’d get at a hipster cafe in the US but affordable and not deconstructed :) ambiance is great and they have happy hour from 5-7 pm every day + free WiFi! A must stop if you are looking to try more authentic Dutch/Northern European dishes
