The food was delicious and the service excellent. The setting is a beautiful garden with many varieties of greens and flowers. I had the Watermellon Delight salad and the Barramundi fish. Good but fairly pedestrian. The restaurant feels like a factory due to its size, and servers are stretched thin to respond to guests. The food was good but there are superior restaurants around the island. More attention needs to be paid to their sides such as potatoes and vegetables. For example, their vegetables resembled and tasted like frozen vegetables that you microwave.

Our first time to this lovely restaurant. The watermelon appetizer was good, a little too much feta. The crispy shrimp appetizer was outstanding, plenty of lettuce making it a little salad. I had the only vegan option on the menu which was the mushroom dish you see in the picture. It was fantastic and a very large portion. My husband had the Asian tuna. He ordered it medium and it came out rare. Our waiter, Josh was wonderful. The tune was taken back, cooked to perfection and returned on a fresh bed of noodles and vegetables. We got the white sangria because we read so many reviews about its goodness. My husband and I both thought it was very sweet but of course we drank it all anyway. Josh recommended we get the carafe because it’s $11 per glass and 29 for the carafe which holds about four glasses.

This was one of the best restaurants I went to during our stay in Aruba! The food was delicious, the staff were wonderful, and the atmosphere was intimate. We were seated outside, but were sheltered from the wind and sun. Even though nothing was labeled as gluten-free, there were a number of gluten-free options for each course. I started with a refreshing drink special and seafood bisque - that was amazing. The restaurant had gluten-free bread, which is not always available at other places. My main course was a fabulous seafood dish, and I ended the meal with a mocca creme brulee and cappuccino that were just right. Overall, a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely evening out!

Amazing service, massive wine list and fantastic food. The appetizers were a bit small and underwhelming but the entrees were delicious. We shared everything, I would order a third appetizer if you’re very hungry, the entrees were perfect to share. Highly recommend!

Awesome food and service - loved sucade lappen (Dutch version of braised beef) & tenderloin w bleu cheese! Everything looked so good we had such a hard time deciding what to order! There is a large wine selection & creative cocktail menu. The desserts were also very good but the entrees stole the show! The ambiance in the back patio area is amazing and everything is so pretty! Definitely recommend & I would come back next time I’m in Aruba!!

Very relaxing dinner, tranquil courtyard setting. The food was excellent. A friend recommended going here and we definitely enjoyed it. We have always been fans of their sister restaurant Barefoot.

Arrived at Quinta and was welcomed by the hostess, who was personable and welcoming. We were then ushered to our table, which was truly beautiful. Our waitress Monica came over immediately and introduced herself. She was simply lovely. Personable and sweet and truly dedicated to making sure our experience was memorable. We ordered drinks, I had a pineapple margarita 🍹 and my beautiful girlfriend had the watermelon 🍉 caipirinha. They were absolutely incredible. Moving on to our appetizer, which was the most amazing beef carpaccio we've ever had. For our entrées, I had the Asian Tuna and Mercedes had the grouper. Her grouper was the best she ever had. However, my tuna dish, was less than stellar. The tuna was cooked perfectly, but the Asian noodles were overly sweet and the teriyaki off-putting. The dish needs to be reworked as the tuna was ruined by the overly sweet noodles and the strangely tasting teriyaki. Not to mention the lack luster vegetables mix that goes on ever dish, whether it works or not. I think the dish would have been a home run, had it been served over a bed of jasmine rice and the vegetables more representative of Asian cuisine. All in all, I really loved the experience. The atmosphere and service was unmatched. Request Monica as your server and you will love every minute of your visit. We will be back...

We have been here for 5 nites and have eaten in several restaurants and this one is by far the best! Good service, amazing foods and just a wonderful atmosphere. We are in doors and it was delightful. Try Quinta del Carmen.. you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of outdoor space. Excellent service and very friendly staff. We got the Caesar salad, grouper with truffle sauce, and Asian tuna. All were fantastic especially the grouper. I think this restaurant is owned by the same person as barefoot which explains the similar menu and attention to detail. Definitely would be back

This restaurant is phenomenal. The service is impeccable, the food is fantastic, and the ambience is beautiful. It’s set in an old mansion and its surrounding gardens. Our server offered perfect advice for our dishes, and I really appreciated that she did not intentionally just steer us to the most expensive options. Strongly recommend that everyone try this place while in Aruba!

Exquisite outdoor dining with exceptional food. If you are looking for a wide variety of food this is not the place. However, whether it is seafood or a good steak, you will not be disappointed. Make sure to leave room for the Stroopwafel Parfait!

Beautiful setting in the garden patio out back. Excellent friendly service. Beef carpaccio was delicious. Ceviche so fresh and the tuna 2 way was our favorite. Tried barramundi for the first time and it was good but not as flavorful as the tuna. Chocolate mousse for desert was a perfect ending.

Very nice ambience, gorgeous building and well decorated court yards. The service was good, attentive and polite. Unfortunately it was down hill from there. My wife and I both ordered the red snapper as we both love the choice as a sweet flaky fish. That is NOT what they served. Whatever they tried to pass off as expensive snapper was more like rubber chicken. It was dense tough dry and not very good. Bottom line- save your money and find another option- we will never return.

Quinta del Carmen is a fantastic restaurant set in the historic first hospital on Aruba!! The atmosphere is one of a kind thanks to the beautiful courtyard dining!! The service is always excellent, and they have some our favorite dishes on the island!! The fried goat cheese is delicious as is their riff on dynamite shrimp for appetizers. For dinner we absolutely LOVE their skirt steak thanks to the otherworldly barbecue sauce. For dessert their Stroopwaffle parfait is a wonderful treat!! Highly recommend for the best courtyard dining on Aruba!!

Restaurant located in the backyard of this famous landmark. Built more than 100 years ago and once serving as the first hospital of Aruba, it is now a fine dining restaurant. Interesting local and international dishes including Dutch classic 'sukadelappen'. Well worth a try.

A lovely dinner. We sat inside because it was quite warm and humid. Our family of four had the Boursin stuffed chicken, a shrimp entree, and red snapper with Brie cheese. All were excellent. The chicken noodle soup and ceasar salad also were delicious appetizers. And the apple streudel dessert special was outstanding. Very nice service too. All in all, an excellent choice. Recommended.

Quinta del Carmen is a very good restaurant. The food was well prepared and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. It would be interesting for the menu to indicate the Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan and Vegetarian options, although these options exist for consumption. I recommend it, especially for a special occasion.

Quinta ticks all the boxes. Out of 5 dinners on the island we had with various price categories, this was our favorite. The servers were are so friendly and efficient, enhancing our overall experience. The tapas we ordered were fresh and were comparable to restaurants we ate in BCN. Finally the overall vibe felt relaxed yet sophisticated.

The house and grounds of the property are beautiful and are a perfect complement to the outstanding food and service. We were seated outdoors in a lush garden area. I had the grouper, salmon, & shrimp. So delicious! My husband had a blue cheese salad which he raved about. His entree was the pina colada shrimp. For dessert we shared the mocha crème brûlée. Everything was wonderfully prepared and delightful. The staff were exceptional and very attentive to our needs. This was our best meal in Aruba. We will definitely go here again on our next visit to the island.

Ambiance drinks and service perfect! Started off with orange cosmo and the croquettes perfect! Then onto the entrees mine was the strip lion special of the night very good especially at $40 served with mashed potatoes and veggies. My wife hit the only bump of the night her stuffed chicken $29 was a little tough. It was served with mashed potatoes and veggies as well but they did offer other sides if you wanted. The dessert we had was absolutely delicious stroop waffle i highly recommended it! Our waitress Camilla was perfect so professional and attentive so much we rebooked a table later this week and requested to have her as our server. Definitely give this place a shot one of the hidden gems on the island.

Food was fairly average, small in size and definitely underwhelming flavors for this price point. Seafood paella and its two shrimp was a major disappointment. The Dutch beef dish was actually the crowd favorite. And then there was the absolutely divine Nutella cheesecake. Don’t skip that cheesecake!

We came back to Aruba and decided to try Quinta again for dinner. The menu had lots of choices. The stuffed chicken wrapped with bacon was very good. The Dutch beef dish was also very tasty 😋 The paella dish was very dry in flavor. The worst meal was the snapper with brie 🥴. The waitress did take that meal off the bill. The martinis served were outstanding ! Overall service just ok as several different people checked on us not knowing what we ordered 🤷‍♂️

Quinta del Carmen is the best kept secret in Aruba. This restaurant sits in a 100 year old converted home. The decor is beautiful. The courtyard makes for a wonderful and comfortable dining experience. Everything we ordered was wonderful. The prices were very reasonable. Reservations are recommended and can be made online.

My wife and I have visited Quinta del Carmen three times since 2019. We love the Red Snapper. The ambience is great as well. If you’ve looking for a garden like environment, this restaurant is a great choice. We recommend to friends and family quite a bit. (In additional to Quinta, we have also enjoyed dining at their other restaurant Barefoot a couple of times. Out of our total of half a dozen visits between establishments, every trip has been excellent.) Note that some of the photos are from May 2019, others are January 2023. By the way, the prices have remained practically the same. Quinta is one of our favorite restaurants in Aruba and also a good value.

We love Quinta del Carmen and have been coming here for a number of years since it opened. While we are not big fans of Barefoot (another restaurant by the same owners), Quinta del Carmen is great. The menu has not changed much over the years, but it is extensive and everything we have tried is always great. Service is wonderful also. It is not cheap, but you actually get what you pay for here. We will come back next time.

This is by far the best restaurant by far. The food Is amazing, the service is unlike any other and the desert is fantastic. We had to come back. The lobster is so delicious and the sirloin better than any filet. The crab chowder soup is a drop of heaven. Your mouth will thank you.

We were not expecting to eat here initially. It came as a recommendation from another restaurant nearby because they had a special event. The architecture of this restaurant is breathtaking. We found out that it was originally a hospital that the owners renovated it into a restaurant. We were seated in one of the garden dining areas. I only wish the food was at the same level as the space. For drinks, my partner started with a watermelon caipiroska, which they say tasted like a jolly rancher (an American candy). It was too sweet for their taste. They also ordered a basil lemon gimlet and thought it was quite delicious. We ordered Carmen’s blue cheese salad and ceviche for appetizers. They really liked their salad but I was really disappointed with my ceviche. Let’s just say my favorite part of the ceviche was the pickled onions in the salad accompanying the ceviche. For dinner, I ordered the seafood paella and they got the grouper, mushrooms and truffle. I asked the waiter what was in the paella and they missed a few of the ingredients. Unfortunately, one of the ingredients they missed was squid, and I don’t prefer sautéed squid. This was the reasoning for my inquiry of the ingredients and would have liked to omit squid from my paella. Overall, the paella was very good. This was not at all true of the grouper, mushrooms and truffle. It came with really dry linguini pasta. We had to ask for extra sauce, which didn’t seem to improve the dish. My partner found it inedible. I had some and we both looked at each other and mouthed that the pasta tasted like it could have come from Olive Garden. Since my partner had not eaten anything other than their salad, we got the “nuts four brownie” desert. I ordered it because I love brownies but should have had some of my partner’s. The brownie was quite dry. Thank goodness it came with ice cream and whipped cream. Lastly, a restaurant of this caliber should not place cutlery on a bare table for sanitary reasons. When we asked to have our cutlery replaced, the waiter became visibly upset at the request.

I chose this restaurant blind based on a couple reviews and I have to say this was the BEST dinner and atmosphere we had all week!!! My friends were teasing me about where it was located but in the end, this was the hands down favorite of our group of 10 friends! I would recommend going early so you can sit up front for a few tapas and cocktails before heading to the back of the restaurant for dinner. The special stew braised with red wine is delicious!! You will not be disappointed ❤️

You can't go wrong with Quinta del Carmen. Service, food, ambiance, cocktails. 10s across the board. Try the Watermelon Caipiroska cocktail. For truffle lovers, the Carpaccio with Truffle Sauce is a must as an appetizer. I'm not a meat lover but the Dutch dish Sucade Lappen is succulent. For dessert, the Pineapple Carpaccio is light and rich at the same time.

This is an amazing restaurant for couples or family! The ambiance is so nice and service is superb! They created a dish that wasn’t even on the menu for my daughter that couldn’t come with me and my fiancé . One of the best on the island.....you won’t be disappointed !!!

This is our second visit to Quinta Del Carmen, and it was just as lovely as we remembered from the first time. It remains our favorite restaurant in Aruba. The location is incredibly beautiful, with an old monument and a garden where you can dine. The staff is exceptionally attentive and kind. Step aside Madame Janettes, this place is nice. Loved the ambiance and the history they bring right into the menu. We ate outside, under the lights and in beautiful garden setting. So this place seems like its nice....but don't be fooled by the nice decor. Upon arrival we were greeted by a few heavy set ladies at the front with attitude. it seemed as we were an inconvenience for them as they were in the middle of socializing and we had disturbed this. They sat us down near the washroom area and when we requested to be moved in the main court yard the hostess was quite annoyed. Once we settle I ordered the shrimp pina collada and my wife ordered the paella...both terrible dinners. We did not enjoy the quality of the food in comparison to what we had eaten at other restaurants. The quality and preparation was low along with the service. This restaurant needs to get it together because its expensive. Cost us $100 american...this was not a cheap meal by any means. For these type of prices I expect a lot more. BTW....does not even compare to Madame Jannete...quality and service were outstanding there.

Was so excited to try this place after seeing pictures online and reading reviews but let me tell you this restaurant doesn't even deserve a rating. The place itself is beautiful but the food doesn't even deserve a 1 star. Girl at the front took us to our table at the back of the restaurant, when we requested to be seated in the main garden she had a sour face as if taking 10 steps for her was a huge deal. I ordered a Seafood Paella and it tasted nothing like a paella should. It was just rice with a few clams and and two shrimp (yes 2!). On top they put peas and corn...which I'm pretty sure was just frozen out of a bag and warmed up in the microwave. The dish had a very weird bitter taste, do not order this or you will be disappointed! It was also dry and underseasoned. It should not even be on the menu if they don't know how to make a proper paella. I'm not even a picky eater but the food was horrible as if prepared by someone learning how to cook and not a professional chef. My partner ordered Shrimp Pina Colada and wasn't impressed with it either. Spent almost $100 and left feeling hungrier than ever. Won't be coming back.

Enjoyable restaurant in a cute setting. Both the historic home and the nice deck out back. We enjoyed the Scallops Au Gratin and Croquettes to start, and shared a paella, which was enough for two not super large eaters. Friendly staff and easy to get to from the high rise hotels. Would go again!

This place was good, but not as good as barefoot. In terms of service and food. We tried a couple appetizers, the fried cheese things were really good. I wasn’t bold enough to try the beef carpaccio but my brother liked it. The pork chops and the steak were great.

My husband walked past this place on the way to the supermarket and thought it looked very nice, so he brought us back toward the end of our trip without even looking at reviews first! We were very impressed with the atmosphere, location, and especially the food! It just couldn't have been a better experience. The chocolate martini was 10/10, as well as the red snapper and truffle pasta dish (can't remember the name of it..) We would definitely go back! They had the CUTEST Aruba coloring books and colored pencils for our kids (ages 4 and 1), which kept them entertained for the entire meal. It was lovely!
