Amazing Day and truly unique. Worth every penny to rent a cabana. We rented #4001 and the kids loved it. The hammock, extra deck space, personal touches with your name written in the sand, water slide and service was the highlight of the trip.

This Island is beautiful! The people were great. The boat picks you up by the hotel & ferries you to the Island. There you can choose between Flamingo or Iguana Beaches. Both are wonderful. We opted for Iguana Beach and we had a great time! The food at the restaurant was delicious & my Mom had a great time celebrating her Birthday there!

Honestly, the resort island was all right. We booked the hotel for just a day so we could have access to the island, and while the presence of flamingos is certainly unique, it got old fairly quickly. The beach was pretty but nothing special and somewhat crowded, and there were maybe seven or eight flamingos total. Probably worth staying at the hotel to have access to this beach (ferry is right in the lobby, super accessible), but I don't think it would be worth purchasing a day pass.

So much fun. We stayed at the renaissance marina. We had Jesus be our waiter. He was awesome. The water was perfect the drinks kept coming. He spent a whole day here. You get to feed all the flamingos and see the iguanas.

Clean beautiful beach, happy well fed flamingos, iguanas, lizards, super laidback friendly stuff, many activities, cabanas options, gear rental, everything you need. Water is wonderful. First time snorkelling- feels amazing. Shortly speaking: Paradise. Fun and great time. We love it here!

Such a fun island to visit. You take a boat from the hotel, about a 12 min ride. Lots of animals to see, great views relaxing setting. There is a flamboyant of flamingos ( that is what they call them) on the adults only side of the island. Quite friendly and they will come right up to you. Great place to sit on the beach, swim, have cocktails and food delivered to your beach chair. Also a family side open to everyone. Lots of water toys, food and a band usually playing. Will let a few people on the island but you have to pay if not a guest and numbers are very limited.

Never been to a hotel that had its own private island. Amazing experience. The flamingos walking around are fun to watch and you can feed them. Come early morning to avoid a crowded beach and an instagram waiting queue at the flamingos. If you like snorkeling, go to the other side of the rocks that separate the inner sea from the Caribbean sea, lots of beautiful fish!

If you want a day at a beautiful beach and feed flamingos. Either stay at the Renaissance Hotel or register online for a daypass. I'd do it again ... lovely place and very friendly staff.

They gave us a handicapped accessible room. No shower curtain. The room was a little dirty and the air conditioner did not get cool. We contacted maintenance who did absolutely nothing.

A nice island but would not spend extra money to go there if you aren't already staying at the Renaissance (and wouldn't stay at the Renaissance just for the island). There are 6 flamingos but they are not native to Aruba and they are always surrounded by people taking photos (2 groups spent over an hour taking photos with them). The nature trail was interesting, saw tons of hermit crabs. It was neat riding the boat from the lobby out into the ocean. The breakfast at the restaurant was good, reccomend the Caribbean pirates breakfast.

Great Island for guests of the Renaissance Aruba properties. So much stuff to di. From snorkeling, to laying in a hammock, they even have a gym here. Grab breakfast, lunch, or drinks. This private island has it all. You don't have to stay at the Renaissance to visit but it will cost you time and money to get one of the limited spots.

Amazing island with lovely flamingos!!! Can’t recommend enough. Would have liked a lower island pass price, but the included lunch & drink was nice. Overall prices were very reasonable. Beautiful island and beaches, full of fun seating and hammocks. Snorkeling was decent too!

This island is the best thing about staying at the Renaissance. A short boat ride (~10 mins) and you've arrived with your choice of Flamingo Beach (adults only except 9am - 10am) and Iguana Beach (family friendly). It's restricted to hotel guests, so it's never overcrowded. You can feed the flamingos anytime (bring a quarter for the machine) and watch the iguanas eat at noon. Both beaches have protected bays for swimming that aren't too deep. They have towels, floats, snorkels, kayaks all available for free. If you stay for the beautiful sunset, sometimes the flamingos will walk over to Iguana Beach at the end of the day.

Paid for a day pass to this resort island. Came for the flamingos (only ok), but stayed for the views and the service by Edgardo at Papagayo on the family side. Despite not having kids, I found this side to be very open and relaxing, whereas the adult side was smaller and overcrowded. However, make sure you make the nature hike up to the north point of the island to see the salamanders and hermit crabs

This is a definite must go! If you are going to Aruba, you have to make a whole day of this experience! It's an adult only beach so kids can only feed the flamingos in the morning til 10am.

AMAZING...yes it will cost you, but rent a beach bungalo...so much nicer than trying to find shade on the beach. Great food, same cost and cheaper than if you were downtown.

Just a short breathtaking boat ride from the hotel. Once you get to the island they offer an adult exclusive beach with free roaming flamingos. You can feed them and interact with all the different wildlife. The food on the family side of the beach is amazing! The sights you will see here are amazing and absolutely gorgeous.

Very relaxing private beach, most known for the flamingos. The water was mostly shallow but filled with rocks and pebbles. I think it’s ideal for laying by the sand and having a few drinks.

My absolute favorite place in Aruba! Do NOT miss this place! I booked massages on the island which allowed me access to the island. Massage was private and luxurious and got access to the island the rest of the day! So much fun!

The best (and almost only) way to visit this private island is to stay at the Renaissance Hotel. Launches run between both the Marina Hotel, the Ocean Suites and the island every 15 minutes. There's two main beaches: the adult only Flamingo Beach and the family Iguana Beach. As well as the usual beach amenities, there's a nice restaurant on Iguana while on Flamingo there's a bar where you can also order food to be brought over. Feeding and photographing the flamingos on Flamingo Beach is most peoples highlight of their visit. There's a dispenser that provides food pellets for 25¢ close by. Each morning there is a one hour supervised period when children can visit the flamingos and there is also a ranger in attendance most of the day as obviously the hotel are concerned for the welfare of the animals. Other facilities include a souvenir shop, beach tennis court, a nature trial and private cabana's for hire. Not to be missed on a visit to Aruba, in fact worth coming to Aruba for this experience alone!

Really nice experience on the private island. Beaches were flawless, flamingos, birds, and iguanas to see, and the staff was very professional. Shout out to our server Luciano for introducing sharing the Aruban hot sauce secret with us and for an overall great meal. Definitely worth the price of admission in my opinion.

A must do when in Aruba! This island is beautiful and worth the money in my opinion. You need to be a guest of one of the Renaissance Hotels or pay I believe $125pp to use the island and you need to get the tickets early. A boat takes you from the hotels to the island. There is the adult only side Flamingo Island where the Flamingos are and Iguana Island is the family side. We honestly preferred the family side, it was bigger, more spacious, had a bigger bar and restaurant, as well a a better beach. You can snorkel there and rent paddle boards. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Aruba!

Loved it - a true Aruba landmark. You can feed the flamingos, and don't forget to order the 🐙 salad for yourself.

Home to some of Aruba’s most stunning private beaches, Renaissance Island exists as a true tropical oasis. Whether you’re pampering yourself at Spa Cove, watching wild flamingos roam, playing a game of beach tennis, or simply basking in the warm Aruban sun, Renaissance Island is sure to inspire a story worth sharing. Also here to give beachgoers a break from the sand and surf are our luxury private cabanas, along with the Papagayo Bar & Grill and Mangrove Beach Bar. Besides being the perfect spot for beach-goers, Renaissance Island offers a breathtaking venue for a wedding celebration or a romantic honeymoon escape. Reserve the coveted shores of Coral Beach and experience the start of true marital bliss as you say your ‘I dos’ surrounded by something blue.

Renaissance Island is a fantastic beach that is split between a public beach, private family cabanas and private adult section. The island is consider both an iguana beach and a flamingo beach. You can reserve the cabanas ahead of time, which you will want to do as early as possible, and if you're staying at the Renaissance Hotel, you get free access and boat ride to the island. Free water gear to use, and a very cool break wall keeping some smaller fish inside the cove. Worth coming here when you are in Aruba as it encompasses a lot of Aruba's finer points.
