We thought the submarine tour was a bit expensive, but also worth it, it was a fantastic experience! We saw beautiful fish and turtles (phone camera didn't do justice to everything we saw). The submarine ship was impressive, and the staff were very engaging and enthusiastic. We had so much fun!

They really mean it, is a real submarine and yes you'll go deep about 140ft deep. It is a unique experience. If you have motion sickness being in the submarine will not be the problem, getting there will be. So i would recommend to do what you need to before doing this. The space inside the submarine is small but not too tight you can move around your seat and have a view no problem. Best spot is towards the front of the craft as you get to see the pilot view (best view) so make sure you enter first if you don't want to miss that.

It was a once in a lifetime experience! You get to see the colors disappear and everything looks blue! You see the ocean around you, the corals, the fish, the sunken ship, the tortoise, and even the dolphins. It's a beautiful trip and we recommend you go on it!

Submarines are always fun. We try to do them on every vacation and this location did not disappoint. The staff were all so nice; especially to my kids. The ride over to the submarine was informative and enjoyable. There was lots to see and learn about but that sun was brutal. Try to sit in the shade if you can because the front of the boat didn’t have shade, but that (to me) was a great spot for seeing everything. The actual submarine was good too. Doesn’t really matter where you sit because they turn it around so both sides can see the same things. There were of course marine animals and coral but also shipwrecks. It’s a little pricey (especially during American holidays) but still worth it.

An exciting under the sea adventure! I enjoyed this experience overall. The trip to and from the submarine itself was very entertaining. Bravo to the crew they were fantastic! Being on the submarine at first felt a little unnerving. They have a lot of seats available. Unfortunately, the seats were half the size of the average person's bottom on this submarine!! The more people got on, the more I wanted to get off. Thankfully, once they got the air conditioning going and the music rocking, I was able to relax and enjoy the views. I do not recommend this for anyone who suffers from claustrophobia or motion sickness. The time spent on the submarine itself is only around a half hour. It's a fun excursion as long as you don't mind being incredibly close to people.

This was a very interesting tour. Our tour guide was very entertaining and super friendly!! We enjoyed it! You take a small boat called the Subseeker II out to the submarine. Such a pleasant ride and overall an enjoyable experience. Especially if you love sea creatures. You see mostly coral reefs and different fishes. 🐟🐠

Definitely not worth the money. They pack in too many people in a small, confined space with almost no AC, the submarine is filthy inside, the "sunken ships" were admittedly sunk by the company, the "captain" of the tender boat opened the hatch to prepare for disembarkation without warning to the people sitting below, drenching me and no apology after myself and other guests said something. Just an overall terrible experience and waste of time.

Definitely unique and fun experience! Great for kids too. Some tips, the line for boarding the sub is going to be who you sit next to, and where in the sub you sit. Try to be 1st or at the halfway point 25th (out of 48). This helps you get to the front of the sub so you can see out the front windows as well. A.C. is not anything to write home about, so it will be hot and cramped inside, especially if you sit next to larger folk, so keep that in mind when lining up. Saw people with little handheld fans which seemed to be a very good idea. Tons of fun, and the captain narrates and explains what you see. Got to see a few sunken ships too!

The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because, I was mislead and was told there was only 3 steps to get in the sub. Being handicapped i figured I get handle 3 steps. In reality there was about 13 steps and very steep. Was never offered a refund. The ladies enjoyed the ride very much.

This is fun. Where else would you get to ride a sub? Its tight, but comfy. The climate control is appropriate (whole family was comfortable) with AC pumped in. Notes: 1) you take 15 minute boat ride to sub 2) you go from boat to sub, and down ladder (wear shoes or sneakers or sandals or flipflops) 3) your camera should not have flash enabled 4) if you get seasick (i do) this should clear up after the sub gets about 20 feet under water 5) no refreshments or restroom on board, so keep that in mind for next 50 mins.they font want you bringing food or drink on board, but didnt say anything against bottled water 6) i brought my 3.5 year old. she liked it, and started losing attention towards the end, so pretty good experience

Awesome experience! Awesome stuff! Red Mudd must be the funniest tour guide and story teller I've known until now! But the rest of the stuff are no less either. Starting with the guys and girls at front desk, the boat crew and ending with the submarine captain and all the others. Kudos to a unique tourist experience made at high standards!

My wife was skeptical since this sounds super touristy but we both agreed it was the coolest part of our trip to Aruba. Such a unique experience to see the reef out the window while being so deep under water. It's pricey but if you're never planning on learning scuba I'd say it's worth it!

What an experience! Fully submersible vehicle. The ride length was more than enough. Our guide was funny, witty, attentive, and informative. I highly recommend well worth the cost and perfect way to start your day!

Wow! This was time well spent. If you have an opportunity, check this out. Jason and the Captain were awesome and the sub was such a great experience!

Excellent adventure, neat wrecks and cool fish, bit crowded but really cool being 140 feet down in the Sea

  • 5/5 Heidy M. 1 year ago on Google
Pricy but a worthwhile experience. I mean how often do we get to go in a submarine? You won’t see big sea creatures but a decent number of small fish variety, coral, the occasional barracuda and sea turtle - and sunken ships!

Such a fun and unique experience! How often do you get to ride in a real submarine? The sub was spacious and air-conditioned, which made for a comfortable ride. There are plenty of portholes, so everyone gets a good view. After the ride, it was exciting to watch the submarine submerge again for its next trip when we were back on the ferry. This activity is suitable for people of a variety of ages and fitness levels as it is very passive. The only physical activity required is climbing the stairs up and down to get into the main room of the sub.

I've been a scuba diver for 20 years but my wife does not dive. This was the perfect way to share an amazing experience with her. I have absolutely nothing negative to say everything was just fantastic. Please pay close attention to the safety briefing on the ferry it could save your life in an emergency. One of our passengers talk through the entire thing and if something had happened she would have been first to go. That being said the crew took safety very seriously and at no time did we feel that this wasn't a completely safe experience. I highly recommend this for everyone.

  • 3/5 Grand G. 9 months ago on Google
Overall, it was a terrific experience except for one thing: I left this tour with COVID. Despite the stated COVID precautions, I noticed that none of the tour staff or any of the other passengers wore masks and social distancing is impossible in this tour. I admit that I didn’t wear a mask myself out of naivety. I took this tour on 06/12/23, the day before I returned home and right after I returned home, I developed symptoms of fatigue, coughing, sneezing, and a loss of taste and smell. Two days later, a COVID at home test came back positive and that’s what I’ve been having ever since. Given how the submarine is so narrow and cramped for forty eight passengers, I think more warnings should be given up front about the increased risk of airborne sickness at the very least.

  • 5/5 Dave S. 7 months ago on Google
Way fun, and the crew made it even more so. The price wasn't too bad either. I'd definitely do it again.

This is our second time in Aruba and we have done many tours/excursions. The submarine far surpassed any of the other tours/excursions!! We did the 2 hour 150 depth. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!. WORTH THE MONEY!! The guides and captains are informative and FUN. You see SO MUCH, and learn a lot too!! There were people of every age and everyone enjoyed it!! An absolute MUST DO when visiting "One happy Island".

  • 5/5 Mindy S. 10 months ago on Google
This was such a cool tour! Originally, I thought this was just for kids and boy was I wrong! The submarine was large with plenty of room to look out the windows. We saw sea turtles, shipwrecks, and a ton of beautiful fish. We touched the ocean floor. The staff gave us great details about the history of each shipwreck and shared the types of fish we were seeing. My partner and I really enjoyed this and we can’t wait to bring our family!

The Atlantis Submarine Aruba based at Oranjestad, Aruba, dives to depths of 40 meters below the surface. A transfer boat brings passengers to the submarine. Atlantis dives deep, unlike competing "semi-submersibles" which are tied to the surface. Passengers can peer at sponges, corals, fish, and wrecks through circular glass portholes without getting their feet wet.

  • 4/5 Masha S. 1 year ago on Google
The submarine was a cool experience since this was only my second time in a submarine. We saw lots of fish and even a stingray and sea turtle! It was a little long and not SUPER exciting. Honestly, my favorite part was the boat out to the submarine because the crew was super entertaining and funny.

  • 3/5 Wm A. 11 months ago on Google
March 2023. Atlantis charged full price but the moment the underwater tour starts they tell you the water is murky this time of the year so you will experience poor visibility. So our views and photo opportunities were non-existent. Perhaps the company should lower their prices for the Spring if the product/experience is subpar. But I did give 3 stars for the knowledgeable woman narrator and for the enjoyable boat ride including a nice view of the Lighthouse.

Going with the Submarine was a lifetime experience event for us. We didnt felt any pressure in our ears while going down. Seen two wrecks, a lot of fish and touched the bottom at 140 feet ! Also was the guide with this comments ! Made all of us laugh ! Niceeeee

Nice view of the underwater world. Saw turtles, baby barracuda & tons of fish. Saw the Antillean ship wreck. Got a little nauseous & headache but was able to go above on to the deck for fresh air.

Awesome experience and saw tons of fish. Crew was funny and kept us entertained. Went down to 138 feet. Booked thru the cruise line

  • 4/5 Haze T. 1 year ago on Google
Visited the submarine in the summer of 2022 It was all in all a great experience and the staff does it’s very best to make it a great, safe and funny adventure. I give it 4 stars because of the short time we spent under and the crowdedness of the actual submarine. Having 40+ people with your knees, thighs and arms rubbing against strangers kind of kills the experience. I would say look for less crowded times for the best experience ! It was still very cool and unique and definitely worth it ! Tip- Be the first ones to enter the submarine, this is the only way to get the best seats in the house close to the captain !

My wife and I loved this experience. At first 48 people seemed like a lot but it wasn't cramped at all. The sites were amazing to see and the guides were entertaining. Definitely happy we got to experience this at least once

My husband and I went here and had an awesome time. It was cool to see shipwrecks and all sorts of marine life. The tour guide was informative and hilarious (I'm sorry I forget his name. Anton?). All staff were super nice. Only downside is its pretty cramped in there as they bring enough people to fill all the seats. Otherwise I have no complaints.

(Translated by Google) First, approximately 20 minutes by boat, transfer to Atlantis. Then about 45 minutes of diving. Wrecks in the water, fish and other creatures. The water is a bit cloudy, but it adds to the charm and the abyss feeling. We went the deepest to 143 FT and sat down at the bottom. My wife was getting ready before we left and we were not disappointed. (Original) Najpierw około 20 minut łodzią transport do Atlantisa. Potem około 45 minut nurkowania. Submarine tour was cool. We took a boat to the middle of the ocean somewhere and got transferred into a submarine. Boat ride was about ten minutes maybe. Was a bit scary walking across into the submarine and the opening was a bit narrow. There was a group getting out so we had to wait for them to get out before we got in. The inside is narrow as well. If your claustrophobic, this may not be for you. But guess that’s all submarines right.
