If you have an all inclusive resort this seems as a waste of time. We came to the island and by the time we left the bus all the cabanas were already taken, so we had no access to the premium beach area. Do a better planning if you want to have yourself a cabana there. General beach area was very small and rocky, way worse than the beach we had in our resort so we did not spend much time swimming there. Snorkeling zone was very crowded. It was nice food at the grill station and they have some nice drinks available as well. There are definitely more attractions for those with middle aged kids. Very hard for toddlers as it was hot and the floor was hot for our toddler to walk. Everyone working there was super nice and helpful. We left early as we could not find anything else for us to do. Flamingos can be seen in the enclosure and they are not walking around the island as someone might expect. Overall good but really not for everyone.

We've visited Aruba several times and De Palm Island has been on our list of things to do. It's a great place to spend the day whether you're visiting as a couple or with the family. It's a little on the expensive side, but there's plenty to do - snorkeling, snuba diving (a blend of scuba diving and snorkeling), water slides, water play area for kids, massages, and several other activities. Included in the cost is food and drinks - all you can eat and drink.

A fun day trip activity! I really enjoyed my visit to De Palm island, there was lots to do + it wasn’t too busy. There are a plethora of different activities available on the island; from visiting the Flamingos to Banana Boat rides around the island and so much more. The space is well equipped for all your needs with lockers, washrooms and covered seating spaces. I love that its an open bar concept with all you can eat food. The food and drinks were super basic but got the job done. FYI. You do need to take a boat to the island, its about a 5 minute ride. I suggest De Palm Island as a necessary day trip if you’re visiting Aruba with your family or a big group.

Well worth the $115.00. You spend six hours on the island. All drinks (to include alcohol 🍸),food, and a few activities e.g. banana boat ride, snorkeling, seeing the flamingos, body drop slide, kids water park, and Salsa dancing. The also have Sea Trek Underwater Helmet Walk and Scuba. If you want to kill a day and relax this is a great plan.

This was the best experience ever!!!! We went snorkeling here, and Anthony took us out and showed us the good spots and the drop off in the ocean- super cool and fun!! The other highlight to our day here was the banana boat ride. The instructors were so fun!! All staff were super friendly and this is an experience I will remember forever. I highly recommend going here if you are in Aruba!!!!

Great little Island at 5 minutes boat ride from Aruba. Totally worth it as we also got a discount from the resort due the fact we assisted a timeshare sales pitch ( not bought it ). Overall very clean, lots of staff working hard on keeping it that way. Food was quite good, and so were the drinks.

It's a nice experience. If you like snorkelling you will see wonderfull fishes. Additionally, you will have the chance to take some pictures with Flamingos (after spending some time in a long line). Needless to say that those Flamingos would not stay on this island if they were not made flightless just for business. The sunshades are rare for the crowd of visitors. Drinks and food are okay......not more but it's included. For this reason you should not expect more than 'okay'.

This tour is SO worth the price. You get open bar, buffet style lunch (open the whole day), and a grill (starting noon; more for kids w/ hamburgers, fries, hotdogs). Also, let’s not forget, THE FLAMINGOS. They keep them busy on a specific part of the island to take pictures with and experience. The views are also stunning and unforgettable anywhere on the island. There are 2 options for the tour: your own transportation or theirs. We opted for the own because if not, they have a bus that drives you to the same place you can drive on your own. Their transportation is only a plus if you’re staying at their pick up location— The Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort.

We had a rental car for the week so we decided to drive to the terminal, buy our tickets there and go to De Palm Island! Super easy to navigate to from our resort. Parking was plentiful and free. The shuttle boat is a quick 7 min ride to the tiny island. The price includes snorkeling, banana boat, water slides, the beach areas, lunch buffet and snack grill along with drinks. Alcohol is included but not a ton of alcohol in the mixed drinks. I stuck to the local beer. I wouldn’t bother paying $400 for a cabanas near the snorkeling…not worth it in my opinion. We actually got under an umbrella that was free by the volley ball area. Look for the umbrella huts without numbers and those should be free. The kids loved the waterslides. There’s a super drop slide that was terrifying - so if you’re an adrenaline junkie, you will enjoy that. There is buffet with healthier food choices located by the restaurants (grouper and backed chicken), if you don’t want the snack bar (hamburgers, fries, chicken nuggets or hotdogs). The banana boats were great fun but about an hour wait… worth it! We also got our hair braided at the beauty stand - $20 for 6 half braids. It was a great day of activities, food, drinks and relaxation.

Lots of fun all in one place. From dancing lessons to snorkeling. Really good food and cold beverages. You can relax or take it all in. Had a great day, for sure.

Great little Island with a mix of relaxing areas and "playgrounds" for young and old. But, it can be very busy, depending on cruiseships

My 7yr old son had fun on the slide. That's where he spend his time. Other than that what I have to say: Nope, not worth it at all for us. If you are going to explore snorkeling and scuba diving on the island as we did, snorkel with my 7yr old at Tres Tapi and Boca Catalina, Hole in the wall and Magnel Halto and me and my husband did scuba diving, after which we found De Palm Island overrated. Food is not that great, snorkeling is mostly rocky and lot if people out with you, slides were good fun for my 7yrs old. Their highlights were the helmet walk, Flamingos. Both of which we didnt enjoy as Flamingos were isolated and Helmet was not adventurous for us. In short, if you are short of time and want to have flavor of everything the Island has to offer than, De Palm is for you...

This is a great place to visit. Prices includes all of the islands amenities to include Food and drink. Buffet and grill open and plenty of island drinks both alcholic and non alcholic. Water park for the kids, turtles, Flamengos and great snorkling. The beach is a little rocky so water shoes would be a good thing to bring. You need to bring your own towels, beach chairs are provided and lots of sun and shade.

While I’ve had my reservations about this place and the 120$/p we paid for the tour I was very pleasantly surprised at the number of included activities, the excellent service on the island, and the fact that all food and drink (including cocktails) are included in the entry price. If you find yourself there make sure to try snorkeling as there’s tons of colourful fish to see as well as the occasional octopus roaming about. The flamingos are in an enclosure and you can’t really approach them though if you pay extra and book a cabana you get to be much closer to them at the private section of the island. Overall I can definitely recommend it

Simply amazing!!! Highly recommend you pay the $65 to upgrade to premium seating. Between the all you can eat buffet and grill with drinks included (except the coconut and pineapple drinks) you can't go wrong! I also did the seatrek, water slides. Snorkel, and just swam on the beach. It was a great well organized relaxing experience.

This was one of the most fun islands that I have ever been on. It is a bit pricey for the all inclusive (prices start $120 USD per person) but it is well worth it. That includes unlimited buffet, snack bar, and alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks with unlimited refills. They also have snorkeling with some of the most beautiful and colorful fish. They have the Flamingo area where you can see the birds. They also have two large size fun waterslides. The banana boat ride was super fun. They have a designated smoking area as well so you can smoke on the island. They have children's activities as well as games and a basketball hoop on the deck / volleyball court in sand. They had a salsa class that was pretty fun. And they have three different beaches with hammocks over the water. Overall just a fun filled fantastic day. I would definetly recommend 100%

The banana boat was wild! There's no seat belt or straps. Not dangerous at all. You just need to hold on real tight. The water is a bit salty, so try not to inhale or let it go into your eyes. Definitely a "must ride" before you leave the island. You won't regret it

BRING WATER SHOES!! The beach is so rocky, you really need water shoes to enjoy it. Other than that everything was great! Different food sections open and close at different times so pay attention to that. But it was lovely

I LOVE this place! Back in 2014 when I went, it was I believe $99 for the day. We bought tickets the day before. The morning of we drove to a location where you catch a small boat to go across to the island. Boat ride is literally about 5 minutes maybe. You get a wristband when you get there that you must wear for the duration of the stay. There is a shop where you can buy things like sunscreen and little things you may forget to take. Shop was expensive though. Think I paid about $15 for some sunscreen. Besides that, the place is great. Just about everything is included with the admission price. Buffet style breakfast and lunch with a view of the water. They also have a snack shop available from I think 11-3 that serves finger food like fries, burgers, hot dogs etc. Oh and the best part, liquor is free! (Low self liquor of course. Top shelf you have to pay extra for). You can go back as many times as you like and get as much drinks as you want. My friend and I tried all the frozen drinks they had. None was strong but hey. We also did snorkeling and rode the banana boat for the first time. They also have a private beach, water works area for kids, basketball, volleyball, dancing etc. There are other activities which you will have to pay for out of pocket such as scuba diving, hair braiding and temporary tattoos. Like I said, the top shelf stuff comes with a price. But with all thats included, you may not even want to do all those extra things. Nice place to go for the day and at the price, you definitely get your money’s worth. Will definitely go back again...eventually.

I was here in this area about 15 years ago. There were beautiful parrot fish in these waters. It was a delight to swim among them. Now, there is hardly anything to see. If you like water slides and kiddy pools you are in the right place. If you wanna see fish, I strongly suggest to go someplace else.

There is a lot packed on this small island! Beach, private cabanas, restaurants, bar, zipline, waterpark, gift shop, flamingos. We were there as part of a DePalm tour, so we had a buffet lunch in a waterfront pavillion. The food was very good and they provided a substantial lunch. We figured we were just getting a chicken leg, but there was a cold salad bar, a hot entree selection (including chicken legs, lol) and a variety of sodas and juices. It was a welcome surprise. Our bus parked on the main land and we took a 5 min ferry to the island. We didnt use all the facilities they offered as we were only there for lunch but it looked very nice and everyone was very friendly. And the water was the most incredible blues!

Nice experience since it is kids friendly and has the flamingos. The ones here are young so not really pink yet. If you want to be on the beach with flamingos you need to pay extra for that beach access. Otherwise you can wait in a line to get close to them from the “everyone else” side Overall cool experience and good value for the money

We went with a family of 8 and a half🙃. Celebrating my son's 13th Birthday. He said it was his best birthday ever, having experienced Sea Trek, slides and the banana boat ride. We had an amazing time in our cabana with wonderful service of the staff. We will repeat soon. A great staycation for anyone to consider. Love it!

DePalm Island is a friendly place for the hole family, recreation area for the kids with slides and one line of zip line, (less than 8 seconds) international buffet, local cocktails included in the price and beers available for purchase, showers, changing rooms and gift shop, snorkel gear are available. The sand is very fine and there are plenty of beach chairs, if there is high season, expect it crowed and slower service sometimes. From the cruise terminal is about 15 - 20 minutes bus ride, plus a 5 minutes boat ride to the island.

First off I will start by saying I did this as part of my UTV adventure so that may impact my review. (BTW the UTV tour was an easy 5/5 thanks Gio and Okeo for the great adventure) now onto the actual island. It was pretty crowded, almost everything was an upcharge here or there, thr flamingos were by far the most disappointing part, when we arrived there were maybe 15 minutes that they were available from the other side of the fence(unless you paid extra for the private area of course) and you weren't allowed to get within 5 meters of them if you were in the private area. The food was overall pretty decent, and the drinks were okay, bar was good but I would not go again.

This is so much fun if you go with a tour and have access to everything ! Slides are a bit scary for adults even but the water is so warm and amazing. Note : flamingos are only in a fenced off area. You can see them like I’ve shown in my picture but to actually get up close you need to pay extra.

We forgot about the Tues. & Thurs. being cruise ship days, avoid if possible. A bit crowded, go straight to the brach and claim your chairs. They do offer private cabanas and would have done that if we had 2 extra people...a bit pricy. Beautiful island! Make sure you have good, not cheap, water shoes! If you enter the water on the far left, you will avoid a lot of rocks. Go snorkeling!! It's included and awesome. Had trouble with my waterproof phone case...couldn't take pics and my phone was overheating because it was a very hot day! They had other activities, but we weren't interested in them. Buffet was very good! A lot of alcoholic and regular drinks were included. Make sure to leave on time...we missed our first boat & bus 😬 Another one was there thankfully.

This is a day pass to a water park island. It was very well managed.. not bougie in the least. Great place to go and hang out for a partial day. Food was good. House drinks were tasty. The water in the lagoon was nice. And the snorkeling was plentiful.

This was a fun visit for my children! "Epic!" they said! So much is included in your normal entry price- water slides and a fun kid splash pool, free snorkelling, or even a free guided snorkel tour out deeper, all the snacks and meals, and drinks, and libations for the adults, banana boat rides, and even salsa lessons.

Palm island made us fall in love with Aruba😍 Amazing attractions for kids and adults. Food is 10/10 you can have a buffet and the fish was amazing. You can also go for the grill where you have burgers, chicken and fries. Drinks are unlimited and they taste like heaven 😍 You can snorkel for free ( equipment supplied ) You can do sea track ( chargeable ) There is a private beach where flamingos walk free Beach is partial stone and sand You can also scuba dive and there are salsa lessons. Highly recommend doing this.

So we bought our tickets online. It was exciting going to the island. Have to show your ticket at the ticket office and then make your way down to the dock where you'll be shuttled on a boat to the island. Unfortunately we were told that the slide and some of the fun activities were not available because of yearly maintenance. The only thing that was available going on was a snorkeling tour guide out to the drop off. That was the best part of our visit. Our tour guide, Winston and Jeremy, were great! They're awesome guides. I'd recommend them if you want to go on some water activity tour guide. I would give them a 5 star for the awesome snorkeling tour to the drop off and back. The overall experience with the staff on the island was actually really nice and friendly. The food at the buffet was alright. For the lawn chairs, it mostly got filled up quickly where the beach area is at. Although there are more empty lawn chairs all around if you can't find some at the beach area. There are also private cabanas, each for about $200 USD, that has its own private access to the water. Overall experience was great tho. We enjoyed what we can and the waters swimming with fishes was a great experience.

From the prompt hotel pick up to the decent food on the island, De Palm offered an enjoyable day away from Palm Beach. SNUBA with Greg was the highlight. He had our family laughing and he took really good care of us. I’d also recommend renting one of the private villas or cabanas, especially if you’re with a larger group. The privacy offered and dedicated service was great!

Pros:Lots of potential. Most of the island is still under construction as they build their amusement park-like resort. However, what they have built so far is very beautiful, relaxing, and and a great deal for what you get for the all-inclusive package, ( a ferry boat to and from the island island, two orders of food , snorkeling supplies and all you can drink alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks). Cons: It is important to note that it is just off the shore of an oil refinery. They do their best to make sure that when you are on the island, you are facing away from the refinery, but the fact remains that they are across from an oil refinery. Pink flamingos with clipped wings hanging out on the beach and enclosed Turtles. Ethically, I do not agree with clipping wings of animals or to see them penned up.

Having read numerous reviews, we went with somewhat low expectations of what the staff/service would be like. We were pleasantly surprised by the overall friendliness of the staff! We had a great expereince, but could see how some have been disappointed (keep reading)! Upon arriving at De Palm Island we had a friendly greeting and instructions by a staff person. We were on the first ferry and were able to quickly secure 4 chairs under a canopy on the beach. From there we grabbed breakfast and then were first in line for the zip line and first in line for the air jumpers. By 11am we had gone snorkeling, zip lining, had a banana boat ride, and did the air jumpers! We learned the day we went wasn't busy at all (we went on a Friday in March). This allowed for us to participate in everything several times, including snorkeling 3 times throughout the day. If we didn't have 2 children, it probably wouldn't have been worth it. But our children had a blast and we were able to enjoy most everything with them! Who will enjoy it most? Families with children at least 6 years old, but ideally between 8-14. Also groups would enjoy it especially if you enjoy snorkeling. For us what made it worth it was the good/easy snorkeling for kids/beginners, all inclusive food & drink, being able to zip line, do banana boat rides, and air jumpers....while having ocean/beach/water slides right there too. Who may be disappointed? People going on Wednesdays (busiest day because of cruise ships) or weekdays (Fri-Sun least busy) or people going in the summer in general. We don't drink, but the alcoholic beverage options seemed minimal. Also if banana boat rides, zip lines, and water slides aren't exciting/valuable/meaningful for you, then you are paying a lot of money to eat and drink and do a little snorkeling. In particular if you are already on a beach resort with food included, this could feel like a waste to you. For us it was a great experience! But we weren't staying at a resort, we had kids the perfect ages to enjoy all the experiences, and we went on a day with almost no one there (I estimate 25-30% of capacity). All those things made it an excellent day and a good value. I could see how on busy days it could be frustrating to be there, especially at the price!

An absolutely great time. Get the private cabana. Trust me. You can get right up close to the wildlife in both the water and on land. Drinks flow as fast as you can drink and the staff treats you well. The food is pretty bog standard "american" but everything else is great.

(Translated by Google) I liked it because they had chairs, umbrellas, the possibility of having breakfast and lunch taking what you want during the day. It is a good place to snorkel, the entrance to the sea had stones that I did not like. One of the funniest attractions was the banana boat also has a water park, I went for the flamingos but they were not what I expected. If you want to take the photo with them at sea, you have to rent a section of the beach with an additional payment that allows them to enter the beach. Otherwise they can be seen from behind the fence.

Awesome trip via Carinal Vista! Highly recommend as an excursion! We did snorkeling, unlimited food and drinks! Beautiful beach areas! ~You need to do your water sports prior to drinking as once you get alcohol you will be prohibited to engaging in those activities, but you can still use the beach of course! This works out will for others who are trying to enjoy their visit and keeps the water activities safe! Bus ride was 15-20 mins, ferry was 5 or less. The staff was very nice. Buses were air conditioned and well kept. I would love to go back!

Superb to visit anywhere during covid. Great to have island soo quiet. Unfortunately the pain off was not everything was open. Cant have it all. But if you visit was to connect with nature away from hussel and bustle of crowds, then perfect.

This may be the best place for snorkeling in Aruba. Renting a private cabana gives you a private stairwell into the water and an excellent view of the fish near shore even if you don't go in the water. The drinks and food are endless but they aren't of the best quality. The snack bar is basically American fare: burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and fries. The restaurant is a buffet: a basic salad bar and rotating menu of chicken and seafood for the entrées. But, you aren't here for 5 star dining. The water slides are fun and don't injure you in the process. There are also flamingos, peacocks, turtles, tortoises, hermit crabs, and various lizards roaming the island. This is a nice way to spend the day if you aren't staying in one of the big resorts.

De Palm Island, first time here in m0any years of coming to the island. At over 100.00 per adult I guess in the past it was considered too expensive. Having a bunch of kids and adults to split the vast made it more reasonable. Rented a "Cabin" with chairs, towels, private water access, deck, fridge and dedicated wait staff. Family had a blast. Splash pad and water slides for the little kids, big water slides for older kids and adults. Snorkeling was included as were unlimited banana boat rides. Buffet provided from 11 am to 330. Grill and open bar included as well. The only issue was the day flew by.

  • 5/5 szeva0905 2 years ago on Google
There are 2 options to see flamingos in Aruba, one is Renesans Island which is belongs to Renesans Hotel. We were not able to visit that Island as they are fully booked till April. However they offered a ticket to The Palm Island with hotel pick up. There are 3 slides, banana boat, lunch, snorkeling area. Ticket was 115 usd Pp, lunch was basic, there are also snack bar, and all drinks included even alcoholic drinks. There are flamingos, and you can take a picture with them. There is a person who taking care of the animals. I really like the way he protected flamingos. Flamingos live there for free, they are walking whan they want, you can take a picture with them, sometimes they are in the water sometimes not. Flamingos area is open till 2 pm.

Snorkeling was great, recommend doing the tour(free) so you can go out to the deeper area with huge coral formations. Large variety of fish. Good snorkeling in shallow water also for the less adventurous. All gear provided. Plenty of lounges and shade. Buffet was pretty good and the grill had burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers and french fries. Open bar with frozen drinks, available in virgin or with your choice of rum. Coffee was also good. The flamingos are fun to watch. There is also a crazy water slide and banana boat rides. Changing areas and showers. Boat ride is just a few minutes. Overall worth the trip!!

This little island is packed with fun things to do!!! We upgraded to the premium beach cabanas and I HIGHLY recommend doing so. The island can get very busy, so it’s amazing to have your own private beach, servers (Melinda you are incredible!!!), relaxation area, and bar. Not to mention we were pleasantly surprised when flamingos were on our private beach. Jeremy P took us 4 on a private snorkeling tour to the drop off and all I can say is wow. Lots of colorful fish and a mesmerizing experience - thank you Jeremy P!!! The guys loved the water slides, endless food, massages, and others. Must do!! **There were 150 people on the island while we were there. Melinda (our amazing maireeesa) said typically there are 600 people during their busiest seasons

If you’re coming to Aruba and don’t visit this island than I think you’re making a huge mistake. Dw palm island was sooo soo soo much fun. Soo much activities and services they offer. The price is a steal for everything that’s included. Me and my husband got premium seating which was an extra 50$ or so . It was definitely worth the privacy . We were swimming and eating with the flamingos. Very relaxing not being in the crowded area. I will only ever get premium seating if I come back.

  • 4/5 Cameron F. 11 months ago on Google
Fun experience but not worth the price especially when the food at both the buffet and hot bar tastes like school cafeteria food. But the SeaTrek and other add ons make it worth it. I do recommend if you have a car drive yourself there so if you wanna leave early you don’t have to wait for the bus

THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL! Everything here is perfect and pristine and dear lord I want to live here. The snorkeling is an experience I'll never forget. The food is delicious. The drinks are refreshing. Hell even the water they give you to drink is delicious in comparison to anywhere else.

Great place for families. Our group consisted of ages 4 to adults, and there was something fun for everybody to do. The food was delicious on both the buffet and the snack shack, the facilities were very clean, and we enjoyed the Sea Trek experience as well. The day flew by and it was a highlight of our trip.

Had a real fun time with the fam. Despite having my buddy hurt his knee trying to keep up with the “youngins” everything went pretty well. Beautiful scenery and such a unique experience being that close to the flamingos. The food was decent but I don’t think people come here for the food. The food is edible and the liquor is alcohol. 9.4/10 would be a 10/10 if we didn’t get kicked out for trying to wrestle a flamingo.

  • 3/5 Kurt M. 8 months ago on Google
The de Palm Island sounds like a great idea, but is does have its limitations. Being stuck on the island once you have cycled through the activités is probably the biggest one. The reefs you can snorkel is one of best on the island, except when the wind picks up it can be difficult to avoid bumping into the reefs on shallow water. The water slides are ok and so is the banana boat (the latter crew take their time getting going in the morning). The tour is well organized from hotel pickup to drop off. The chicken curry and grouper are tasty along with the fresh fruit and salad. All the other food was low grade fast food, along with the all inclusive alocholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The beach is full of rocks and isn't fun to swim in. The basketball net is in an awkward location in a high traffic area. There are 3 water slides that get old fast. You can tell everyone was ready to leave at how quickly the boat to get off the island filled up, a full 20 minutes early

  • 4/5 Žaneta K. 5 months ago on Google
Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews here. The experience is really great. We enjoyed our stay there. The only thing I didn't like was the price of the Seatrek photos, I can't take my own gopro but after i should to pay another $39 for a couple of photos. That seems pretty expensive to me. When the seatrek itself was $49. No sense.

  • 5/5 Kate E. 5 months ago on Google
After booking your admission ticket, the check in place is where you'll board the boat ride to the island. The boat comes to and from the island every 15-30 mins. The island is beautiful with many different activities and free lunch w/ drinks included in the admission ticket. There's also a kids section. I paid extra for premium seating but it honestly wasn't anything special. It's just a closer view of the ocean with the flamingos nearby to take pics. If you just want to go and relax, the regular seatings are fine. The sea trek activity was really cool to go underwater and hang with the sea creatures. They take pics and videos of that for a fee of $39. Overall the admission ticket alone to this island is worth it.

We loved every moment!!! I took my 5 year old twins and we had the best time. Flamingos, waterpark, one of the best snorkeling, good food and lovely stuff. P.s. we missed our bus as we were waiting at the reception area and not by the security gate. Thank you so much for sending another bus to pick us up. We really appreciate it.
