Had a top notch experience at Italy in the World. We were welcomed in and greeted by the owner and his daughter upon arrival. We were seated at the outdoor patio which is adorable and quaint. The food was outstanding - best risotto I have ever had. Portions were very generous. Loved the owners presence, was always smiling and around to ensure we had a positive dining experience. This is at the top of our list when making recommendations to family and friends.

This reservation only restaurant is a gem! Located centrally in downtown Oranjestad it's a transplant of some authentic home-style Italian cooking. They have excellent service, delicious food, great drinks, and cozy dining. We will return!

Must visit!!!! Very cute spot serving amazing Italian food. We were very surprised by the food, one of my favorite meals in Aruba for sure. We ordered the tomato bruschetta, truffle risotto, and lobster ravioli. The bruschetta was the best I’ve ever had!! Chef was also very knowledgeable on wines. 10/10

Very cute ambiance with wall lined with wine bottles. The owner is so nice and gives great wine recs. You get a very homey feel here. Would def consider this a hidden gem. Must try the Veal pasta dish and stuffed portobello. Probably some do the best Italian I have ever had.

Do not visit Aruba without having a meal at this hidden gem. My wife and I had the best meal of our vacation here. The quaint location is amazing; we ate outside on the patio on a gorgeous night which only added to the experience. The food is of such high quantity that I believe most is made to order with nothing mass-produced. Mauro and his staff were attentive without being overbearing. My wife had the mushroom truffle risotto which she loved and I enjoyed the best pesto gnocchi I’ve ever had. Lemon pie was to die for! Sure, you will definitely need some time while you are there, but this type of quality takes time! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

While my pasta was definitely something to write home about, the service was lacking and I felt rushed to finish (inside is very small and they wanted to clear tables for other guests). I was a solo diner so I’m sure they wanted me out quickly. I didn’t finish my meal and asked for a takeaway box so that I could finish my pasta in peace back at the resort. So while the food was good, more attention to customer service is needed.

(Translated by Google) Very nice and intimate restaurant, in a typical Aruban cottage of 200 years in the center of Oranjsted, with excellent cuisine in all respects, from the starter to the first and second courses, all accompanied by a wide choice of wines (many Italians). All enriched by the owners mr. Mauro and his wife Maria very friendly and discreet. Obligatory stop for those who choose Aruba ... Il tutto arricchito dai titolari sig. Mauro e la moglie Maria molto cordiali e discreti. Tappa obbligatoria per chi sceglie Aruba...

I don’t leave reviews very often but this restaurant was too good to not give a shout-out! My husband and I happened to walk by and decided to dine in. We were absolutely blown away with how delicious the food was!! Everything we ordered was super flavorful and authentic. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Loved! This place is amazing, the restaurant is in a historic house. The owner is wonderful, and the food was sooo good. Leave palm beach and head to this restaurant for dinner. Portions are very large and the quality is amazing. Best meal we have had on the island and we come a few times a year.

If you are looking for great Italian food in Aruba this is your place. It’s on a quiet street tuck away from the busy tourist area where you’ll enjoy a nice dining experience. The ambiance was so relaxing and once you sit down you automatically enjoy a beautiful Italian cuisine experience. The restaurant was super accommodating to my allergies which is a huge plus for me. My husband ordered the fra diavolo pasta and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. It’s definitely a must when visiting Aruba. I can’t wait to come back!

Last meal in Aruba, a little expensive but was worth every penny!!! Staff was so nice to me 2yr old daughter. They brought out extra bread for her, a waitress played peak a boo with her, it was very sweet. Food was amazing. Ordered the lobster ravioli, linguine fruit de mare, and Gnocchi. Raviloi had a heavy cream sauce- very good but heavy. Gnocchi was perfectly cooked. Linguine was loaded with seafood. Cheescake for dinner topped off a great night!

We went on a weekday and the place was empty. Ordered something on the menu and then they didn’t have it. We got the vodka rigatoni and it was pretty good. Portion was nice. Sauce wasn’t the worst I ever had but was expecting a little more. The atmosphere is really chill though it’s like you in a wine cellar. The owner was always around and you can tell he’s super Italian. Service was great. Food was good but sauce could of made it top notch

The food here is amazing! Fresh, homemade pasta, everything made fresh....which I suppose could be part of the reason for why it takes so blessed long to get your order! I was dining alone, had no appetizer and an item off the menu - no special - and I was there for nearly 90 minutes. I had to wait for the menu, then wait for a server, then wait for them to take my order, and the longest wait was for food! I had to ask twice for them to take my money so I could leave. I'm sorry I had to make this a negative post because the food really is second alone and the outdoor dining was just wonderful. Go here and eat...just be prepared to wait!

This was a hit and a miss. Ten people in our party, half of us loved our food and the others not so much. Very small restaurant but very nice decor.

  • 4/5 Grady C. 5 months ago on Google
Stopped by around 7:30pm for wine and to split an entree after earlier drinks and apps at other downtown restaurants. Sat outside(really nice); there is no wine list but the Italian owner came out, discussed what we liked in wine, and provided us three options(all bottles are $39 US). Our wine choice was very good along with the shrimp scampi that we shared. Our service though wasn't very good. We had to ask repeatedly and wait for water and ice. It wasn't that busy but got very little attention after our food was delivered. And then waiting to ask about desserts and finally getting our check which we got up and paid inside. They add a 15% service charge to the bill, I probably would have only left 10% based on the service. Otherwise, great food and a restaurant that I'd try again !!

Loved this place. It was so apparent that Chef-Owner Mauro takes great pride in providing a great dining experience. This is such a quaint, romantic hidden gem that serves wonderful Italian food with great ambiance. There are not many tables so be sure to secure a reservation. You will not be disappointed here.

It was great, small restaurant with big taste! Customer service was great too. It is the same price as in the states but so much fresher and tastier. They give garlic bread if you order a dish with them ! We got chicken parm, shrimp risotto and shrimp fettuccine. We shared amongst our party and our favorite was the shrimp fettuccine. The plates are big, we had leftovers.

  • 5/5 Michele H. 2 years ago on Google
Stumbled upon this little gem and were so fortunate we did! The owner was absolutely charming and you can tell how much he loves his restaurant and what he does. I come from a long line of excellent Italian cooks and this place comes very close if not spot on! The lasagna was outstanding and my husband couldn’t stop raving about his seafood and pasta dish. If ever in aruba again, this is a “must go again” on my list!

If you’re looking for a restaurant with fantastic Italian food, give this place a look. This kitchen is whipping up delicious authentic Italian / Italian-American food in a welcoming atmosphere. Restaurant is small so make reservations in advance. Great relaxed vibe. Would absolutely return on next trip to Aruba. Thanks for making us feel so valued and welcomed.

  • 2/5 Sue Goldman F. 2 years ago on Google
After being recommended to go here we made a reservation online prior to arriving in Aruba. You had to duck down to enter the restaurant and there is no atmosphere. Thank goodness we didn’t eat in the main dining room where the 3 tables were on top of each other. No covid spacing. I ordered the stuffed mushroom which was good. My husband had the stuffed peppers as his appetizer. It was a very small portion and you had only 2 bites to finish the order. I had chicken parmigiana which was cold and looked and tasted like a TV dinner. The pasta was watery. My husband’s pasta Norma dish was very good. The service was good, but the dishes come at different times because it is a very small kitchen.

10/10. Went here with my daughter for my birthday, such a cute place! sat outside for a late dinner and the place had cute decor and the place brings a great vibe. Owner was super friendly! I ordered eggplant pasta or whatever it was it was it was pretty good, my daughter got chicken parm and pasta, she said it was pretty good, I got some sort of cherry margarita, it was strong but very good. My daughter got the Sherly temple, I tasted it my self, very good and has a great taste to it! Love the place and would love to come back again.

Wow, I had the pleasure of having dinner here and it was amazing. I had the seafood linguini and it was absolutely divine. This was probably the lightest pasta I've ever had in my life. Combine that with some good wine you're in for a trip. Highly recommend.

Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Wow what a wonderful true Italian dinner. Everything was so fresh and impeccable. We had a group of 7 and all of us loved our dinner. We had appetizers, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Alfredo, Shrimp Alfredo and Vodka Penne. You can really “taste” the love and time they put into their dishes. Next time we are in Aruba we will certainly be back. The Owner and family are complete delight!

My wife and I went here tonight(we are on our honeymoon) and other than waiting a little while for our dinner(it was worth it) the food was absolutely amazing!! Everything seemed so fresh and was really nice portions and nice presentation.

The entrees we had were really good. Great service and the bread was amazing. Really loved the atmosphere of the old house. We ordered the gelato for dessert but I'm pretty sure it was a nutty buddy that was decorated nicely. Was pretty disappointed in that.

If you want a taste of Italy in Aruba, you will find it here, and then some. Great recommendation that I had to pass on. This quaint little Italian restaurant was recommended by our foodie friends that frequent Aruba, so we had to give it a try. I was a little surprised at how small the place was, but am happy to say that the food did not disappoint! Everything we had was delicious... but what made our meal even more special was the hospitality of the restaurant owner, Mauro, and the hosts, Alexa and Raphael. Their warmth and charm were so nice, and we welcomed the conversation. My two daughters said the food was not only amazing, but the service, the friendliness, and the warmth is what made it even more special, and I couldn't agree more. It truly felt like we were having dinner at a friends' house. We ordered the lamb, the gnocchi, and the veal, and we probably could have ordered more garlic bread to clean the plates, but the portions were a good size. We left with not only our stomachs full, but our hearts as well. Bravo! 💕👍🏻

Hands down best Italian food I have ever had. The most family-orietened atmosphere you could find in the world. Small. Quaint. Food is made fresh from scratch by the owner. Extremely welcoming. Molto bene! It feels like a small Italian restaurant out of a movie. The go-to place for amazing Italian dishes (also plenty vegetarian options) in an historic little Aruban house, authentic atmosphere, off the beaten Palm Beach track, and with the most humble and welcoming owner. Perfect also to stop by if you want to buy a bottle of wine as a gift (or treat yourself with a special wine), they have the best selection of fine wines! Amazing experience, I will be back soon!

We are here 2 years ago and have gone back twice on this vacation. If you like Italian food it’s the place to be. It is small and somewhat off the beaten path but finding it was a lucky day for us. I can’t just pick out one dish to try we have had 8 different main courses and they are all wonderful. Tonight’s truffle risotto was amazing a drizzle of truffle oil brought out the wonders of this dish. Fruiti de mare outstanding. Clams perfect Go sit and enjoy. Best bet to make reservation as it only has 6 tables since Covid. This is not Like Chicago Italian this feels Like Italy Thank Jkm

One of the best ever Italian restaurants I've visited ever. Best service, best food, great wine in the most intimate atmosphere ever expirienced outside my own private home. This is an amazing italian restaurant. The atmosphere is very cosy. It is in the oldest house in Oranjestad. Everything is homemade. The lasagna is to die for. Mauro, the owner, is great, he helps you to pick out the perfect wine. We had a wonderful Merlot the first time and a pinot that we enjoyed. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to eat great Italian food in Aruba.

Perfect place for an intimate, delicious dinner. Found the place on a food tour (had dessert and a wine), came back the next night for dessert again, and then again for dinner. The atmosphere is wonderful and the wine "menu" is unique. A must dine on the island.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. We had the beef stew, lobster tortellini, pasta with salmon and zucchini, gnocchi with meat sauce, and pasta with mussels. Everything was cooked perfectly. The owner/chef made sure we had a great experience. Nice wine selection and the cheesecake was delicious. This is a small, intimate restaurant. Better to make reservations.

This is the type of restaurant you go to drink wine, converse with family and friends, and have 0 urgency about when your order is to be taken or when your food will arrive-service is THAT SLOW. Its a no frills place with minimal staff, though service is offered with a smile and small talk. Garlic bread and wine were AMAZING! Dinner not so much. My boyfriend has rigatoni bolognese-pasta was a bit hard and sauce lacked seasoning. I tried the gnocchi gorgonzola-sauce was watered down and no cheese flavor and seriously lacking seasoning.
