Pretty disappointing AVOID. I honestly don't understand the relatively high reviews based on our experience. We've been to Aruba many times before and usually stayed at hotels. We've heard people renting condos and getting a great experience. So we tried the Aruba Beach Villas. The only thing this place has going for it is the location. It is right across the street from the beach and amazing sunsets. So 4 stars for the location and -2 for the room. The most glaring problem was the lack of security in the room. The room could not be locked! The front door could, but the adjoining room door did not lock. The room was not secure. It just had a futon sofa bed pushed up against it to stop the neighbors from coming in. Due to the tile floors it could have easily been forced open by a 170 lb (or about 12 stone if you're British) person just leaning on it as the sofa would have slid on the tiles. Which leads me to another security issue, which less immediate was still a serious risk. When we arrived the manager had just put a sign on the door to the office with our name and a note that the room was open and the key inside. So it would have been possible for anybody who saw the note to enter our room and make a copy of the key, then come back and rob us, or just wait inside until we got there and rob us. Ignoring the security if you can, sadly the room was a dump. Honestly it was worse than the roadside motel I stayed at in Roswell New Mexico. It stank of dead fish; it was like dead fish had been gutted and the innards left in the room for days. Think of the smell of a fish cleaning table at a marina, then make it indoors, in a hot tropical climate. Speaking of a hot climate, the air-conditioning could not keep up. The room catches full afternoon sun and gets quite warm. With the air conditioner set to max the temperature actually went up in the room until the sun set. Additionally the ceiling mounted fan could not be run. It shook loudly and violently and appeared that it could fall on the bed at any moment. The cleanliness of the room you ask? The bed was lumpy and sagging, it had mildew or mold on it. There was mildew throughout the bathroom and kitchenette area. Please consider the cleanliness description when reading this next part. The drain didn't keep up with the shower so you were standing in a pool of filthy water minutes into your shower. Also keep in mind I am listing the cleanliness with the potentially toxic mold fourth, in this review, that is how bad the fish smell was and how immediately threatened we felt by the door that could not be locked. The pictured kitchenette did not match the room, it was a hotplate, microwave and mini fridge. You could not cook a meal there. This might not be a big deal to some, but part of the reason we rented a condo was so we could cook a meal and look out over the ocean while we ate it. So you may ask why didn't we speak to management and get a different room. As you recall, if you are still reading, the manager left a note on the door because they were leaving and left minutes after we arrived and we couldn't contact them. The booking agency couldn't contact them. Save your money. I feel completely dupped on this room. But if you don't mind the above, the location is nice and the view amazing.

*THEY DO NOT DESERVE EVEN ONE STAR* We arrived at Aruba Beach Villa around 5pm local time on Saturday 2/5/2022. The manager then left. We never saw him again. THE ROOM IS DISGUSTING-WE HAVE PHOTOS AND VIDEO. *It smelled like fish *The mattress was so old two people could not sleep on it without the other side causing the other person to roll off. *The mattress has MILDEW STAINS. *The shower CLOGS *There is MILDEW all over the room. *MILDEW all over the bathroom. *THIS IS NOT THE ROOM THAT WAS PROMISED IN THE PICTURES-Completely different room. *The ceiling fan was moving around so violently that it appeared it was going to fall off. *There were NO LOCKS on the door that is shared with the next room-Instead a couch is pushed up against the door as "security" JUST KNOW: WE DID NOT STAY IN THIS ROOM-WE LEFT THIS DISGUSTING BUILDING AFTER FOUR (4) HOURS. *****ARUBA BEACH VILLAS IS COMMITTING FRAUD!***** We did not receive the room that was promised from the pictures. There was no channel to complain to hotel management before we left because the office was closed. *WE RECEIVED A FULL REFUND OF OUR STAY*

Room was severely out of date. The door leaked during a rain storm and left a puddle inside our room! It is expensive for anywhere in Aruba. The biggest draw is that is 'close' to the beach, but across the street is just rocks lol, and no real beach is walkable. Better and cheaper places are available

We had an ocean view room. It was such a beautiful view. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and quick to fix the 1 issue I had. Room was only 4 min from the mail strip of High rise hotels and casinos.

Unfortunately due to the covid-19 outbreak I was unable to complete my stay here. My flights were cancelled by the airlines and while Aruba’s borders were reopened the US is still requiring mandatory quarantining and limited international flight schedules. I contacted the property explaining all of this and requested a refund. They refused my refund and proceeded to tell me I would be charged the full price of my booking. I am outraged and the lack of empathy and poor customer service.

Enjoyed our time here. We were close enough to Palm beach area and the high rises to walk down and enjoy all the area had to offer without being in the middle of the crowds and noise. There is a bus stop right in front of the place if you're utilizing public transportation. It's walking distance to Catalina Cove and Arashi beach. The unit was kept clean

Perfect. Extremely clean rooms, AC worked awesome. Perfect location. Right down the beach (2 minute walk) from all the high rise hotels (and their pools) but a quiet nice location in itself. Beautiful sunsets. Walked to dinner every night. If you're the type of person who doesn't like to leave their hotel and wants to lay by the pool that's right outside your room don;t stay here. If you're the type of person who is out and about taking kiteboarding lessons, renting ATV's ext. stay here! Very comfortable. Will absolutely stay here again.

A cosy location in front of the best coast line possible. The idea of World Disconnection. VACATIONS UNPLUGGED 🤟🙏🥳 Great experience, in a very well done and maintained place. Very helpful and friendly staff. 😊

Is very beautiful to see the sea. A quiet place but near to the palm beach, which is the restaurant's zone.

This place is away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Easy and safe bus rides into Palm Beach and Oranjestad.

Great value for the price. Beautiful oceanfront view and away from the crowds. The road is busy, but you can walk across the street and hang out at the waterfront for pictures of the sunset and viewing the windsurfers and kiters. Right by a walking path, and there's public transportation that takes you into town and the hotel area. Room was clean, and although it's an older construction the hotel is well kept. We enjoyed our stay and everybody was nice.

Magnificent location in paradise, steps from the beach. Wonderful people. The snorkeling charters all come up here so why not just jump in for free instead?
