My sister and I treated my mom to a dinner here in November since my mom treated us with the trip to Aruba. What a great way to commemorate a lovely week! We had a fantastic dinner (pre fixe menu) which is limited but still amazing and you can tell they really put time into each course. We had the Rib Eye and catch of the day and they were all incredible. They had a live musician playing beautiful island music and you can’t beat the ambiance at this place. From the moment you walk in it feels magical. Beautiful greenery, and thoughtfully curated decorations. Something out of a movie really. We went at 545 so we had a front row seat to the sunset which was breathtaking. It is so serene with the island music playing watching the waves roll in right by your feet. While it is expensive, you’re on vacation and it’s worth it for the service, food and experience. One warning- I would call to confirm. I booked a month in advance and confirmed the day off on OpenTable and they didn’t have my reservation but kindly seated us after I showed the email. Also parking is a bit tough we had some rain during our stay and the parking lot was flooded but we found a spot. Our server was Z and he was fantastic- highly recommend this lovely place!!

This was the most amazing restaurant my husband and I have ever been too. It will be the most memorable part of our trip. Wendell was our server and he sang and played the guitar for us and we slow danced after dinner.

YOU NEED TO COME HERE WHEN YOURE IN ARUBA!! My husband and I renewed our vows yesterday and my husband had arranged our dinner reception on their private over water bungalow. OMG…. Pictures could never do this place justice. I was taken back at the beauty of this place, the curtesy and attention to detail of the staff, the food was AMAZING. My husband reached out to one of their planners and arranged wonderful surprises like a acoustic serenade of our wedding songs. Walking in front the front door, you are greeted by nature and a deck like walk way. Once you reach the restaurant lobby it is lit with beautiful candle lights, a piano centerpiece and whimsical music. Then you walk through the beautiful romantic outdoor dining area that leads you to your gazebo. My husband, our guests and I teared up because it was such a breathtaking view and the ambiance was exactly what I wanted to feel and more. You don’t hear much about this place when researching Aruba which is a shame, because it was the highlight of our trip which we are still currently on, and now nothing else we’ve reserved could come close. Thank you to the staff for such an amazing night!

This place is absolutely magical and cannot be missed on your trip to Aruba. I promise, you will not be disappointed! The food and atmosphere was incredible. We started with the bang bang shrimp and then my boyfriend got the Surf and Turf and I got the Lobster with penne and vodka sauce, their specialty.....YUMMY!!! Like, so so good! We had a front table on the beach, everything was just delightful. The entrance to this place is STUNNING too. 10/10, will absolutely come back to experience this magical place at sunset!! Also, cool dogs hang out here:).

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I proposed to my girlfriend here and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, setting the stage for a great surprise proposal. Rocky is awesome! When we arrived he gave us a tour around the property and provided excellent service. Our waiter wendel was equally impressive with great service and a beautiful guitar performance for us to dance to by the water. Also, the dog Daisy is so sweet! Cant recommend this place more!

The most beautiful restaurant I have ever been to. It’s like a secret garden of romance and serenity. The service was amazing, the food and drinks were incredible. We had the filet and the lobster a la vodka - both amazing. They had this guitar player playing beautiful music to create the most perfect ambiance. This was the best experience and worth the drive from palm beach high rise area. I’m so so happy we chose this for my birthday dinner - serenade from the staff and all. Thank you for making my night so special!

The best dining atmosphere I have every experienced. After dining there I plan to book a villa at some point to stay there so I can have the full experience. Every staff member was phenomenal especially Edwin. You can tell the owner has truly put her heart and soul into the decor and design. I celebrated my birthday and everyone on my girls trip agreed that The Old Man & The Sea was the highlight of our entire trip!! We ordered multiple appetizers and each one was delicious. For a main course I ordered the lobster and shrimp penne a la vodka. The shrimp and lobster were cooked perfectly, at first I thought the a la vodka sauce was a little under-seasoned but I added the lemon/garlic butter that they provided as a dip for the surf and turf lobster that someone else at the table ordered and it completely took it to another level. I can't wait to return!!

Food and atmosphere was amazing but not worth what they charge. Be prepared to sell you 1st born to enjoy a meal here. Not to mention, they are quite away from downtown, so add on another erroneous cost just for a cab ride. My car payment is less per month than a meal cost here.

It’s like a little secret garden when you walk in, so beautiful. It was peaceful and eclectic. We watched the sunset and crabs on the beach while enjoying our amazing dinner.

This was truly the most amazing dining experience we have ever had. My husband and I ate here for dinner one night on our honeymoon and are so glad we did. This place has such a romantic atmosphere, great wine, delicious food, excellent service, beautiful views on the water, etc. We were seated in our own private cabana on the ocean which was gorgeous. This was truly the hi light of our honeymoon and we will forever cherish our dinner and memories we had together here. We kept looking at eachother in shock & said it was even better than being on the bachelor. Seriously the best ever!

Where to begin? To start, the place was very difficult to find. There was no signage directing us there, and no designated parking lot that we could use. Walking in though, the atmosphere was incredible and was gorgeous to have a table right on the beach. There were only two other tables with small parties there when we sat, but we were asked to share menus. They served fish chips instead of a bread service, with a Caribbean style salsa for dipping. We had an allergy in the party and asked if the salsa and any other entrees had the allergen in it. The staff didn’t know and seemed unconcerned and continued to take our order without answering. While waiting for our entrees, we watched a cat use the sand as a litter box right by our table (gross). Some entrees were served incorrectly with high priced add-ons on the plate; some were undercooked. The steak that was cooked well however was delicious. Desserts were okay except for the key lime pie which was truly awful. So many better restaurants we have been to in our many years of coming to this island.

Way overrated. Driving up, the parking lot is literally a pond of water. Atmosphere looks amazing on the beach, but we watched a cat use the sand as a litter box next to our table while we were eating. Service was mediocre. We were told we had to share menus when we were literally the only ones in the restaurant except for one other table. A couple people ordered surf and turf and specifically requested shrimp, but they were given lobster, even tougher advised them of a lobster allergy. We ordered steak, cooked medium, but it was served medium rare. The desserts were atrocious. Literally spat it out. There are so many far superior restaurants on Aruba. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Dinner was amazing and delicious this place is breathtaking our waiter was so polite and so was the staff my one complaint is that they don't write things down the hotel called to make reservations explained is was a special occasion the lady from our hotel had a whole conversation about trying to make something special and I also called personally to confirm reservations and when we got there no reservations was ever made we asked to have a cab called at the end of dinner and the staff forgot or there was a misunderstanding between staff we waited almost 45 minutes to get picked up.

One of the most beautiful dining experiences my husband and I have had. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning, our service was wonderful, and the food was perfect. Husband had the lamb chops, which were incredibly tender and I had the catch of the day. 100% worth every dime. Would recommend to friends and family.

Horrible experience! We went to celebrate my Birthday! The service was very slow! For starters I ordered onion soup..it was very salty and cold! We are sea food lovers, when we were asked what we would like to order my husband and I wanted lobsters and if possible red snapper! We were told that they didn't have it!! Why bother give the menu if new didn't have it??? I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

This place is amazing. Incredible location right on the beach, the water was literally cascading on the shoreline less than 2 from our table. Great friendly service. Our server, Wendell, played acoustic guitar and serenaded us with a song to celebrate our 25 year anniversary. Lovely memory!

This is easily one of the nicest restaurant experiences you’ll ever have! Stunning environment unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. Food and service are 5 stars across the board. However, be aware that they charge a service fee of 18% on every bill. Apparently it’s to give money to the kitchen staff and other behind the scene workers, this does not cover your server whom you tip separately. Just be savvy enough to base your servers tip off of the pre-service fee amount. The recommended tips that show on the bottom of your receipt or based off of the total which includes the service fee, which personally I find ridiculous. Quite frankly, the fact that there’s an 18% service fee in general is unusual and I’ve never experienced that before. When I asked the staff about the service fee, they were really unable to clearly articulate what the fee was for. Other than mentioning it was for the kitchen staff, and that some of it went to our server and some went to others, working behind the scenes whatever that means. Outside of that it was a memorable meal and we enjoyed it immensely.

So very disappointed! We were so excited to spend our 30th wedding anniversary here. The appetizers were great and so was the atmosphere. Unfortunately right after we received the entrees the whole island lost power. We definitely would not hold this against our experience except the service recovery was terrible! They came over and said they called our cab and we needed to hand write all our credit card information on a paper. They charged us for everything! We didn’t even have the chance to eat. When we got back to the resort the other couples didn’t have to pay for any of their food! Unfortunately, the cab was $80 round trip and the dinner was $280.

This place is heaven on earth! A MUST dining experience if your heading to Aruba. The food (esp the lobster vodka pasta) was exquisite. The intimate setting is absolutely beautiful and so serene. They have a hotel dog Daisy and she was the sweetest angel ever, she was the highlight of my whole night! The service is absolutely fabulous and the grounds are gorgeous, it’s a one of a kind experience!

Food is incredible good, only have 6 dishes and lobster was sold out. Very good steak. Place is beautiful, palm trees, eat on the beach, candle light, live music. 15% service tax. Bring at least 200 dólares. Romantic dinner, this is the place.

We had the most amazing dinner on the beach here; every bit of the food was fabulous, but I especially loved the especially the ceviche. We had the lobster with pasta and it was scrumptious! The service was impeccable, the view unbeatable, and everything about this place has our highest recommendation. We can't wait to come back!

Dining at Old Man and the Sea was a highlight of our trip to Aruba. In fact, we couldn’t stop thinking about our experience and food that we had to call to make a second reservation to come back. Located about 30 min from the Palm Beach area but completely worth the drive. The wait staff, food, and atmosphere were amazing. Best homemade margarita and lobster alla vodka I have ever had. Such a unique and quaint experience. So much thought and detail went into the design of this boutique style restaurant. Would love to spend a few nights in a villa next time we travel back.

We really enjoyed our dinner here! Started with the ceviche and then I had the stuffed chicken while my husband ate the lobster a la vodka. Both were delicious! The setting is sublime with lovely greenery everywhere and the sound of the water.

Gave 2 stars because the security guard and the clerks outside were so kind. However, I was vacationing in Aruba for the first time and tried making reservations but was denied. They said because I was solo, I could not reserve a table. Isn't that something? Never experienced that before. However, the cashiers gave me a number to call the next time I'm in Aruba as I was leaving the next morning. I was able to take pictures. What I will say is that this restaurant is stunning. I have never been in a restaurant so beautiful in my entire life. If I worked there I would be asking IF I could come to work and oh, you're going to pay me? because I'll work for free lol. I hope the next time I visit I will be allowed to eat even if I'm traveling solo which is more often than not.

We were a party of 18 and everyone had the identical reaction: Amazing ambiance Spectacular food Priced appropriately Having read other reviews, we brought bug spray. Didn’t need it! Everything was wonderful and we’ll be back!

The best meal I had on the island! I got the catch of the day with creole sauce and risotto and it was INCREDIBLE. My husband had the lamb and it was also fantastic. We were able to dine in the private palapa which was such a romantic experience for our honeymoon. Not only that but we received excellent service - including an a capella serenade - from our server Wendell! A must try for your romantic date night in Aruba.

The ambiance here is absolutely amazing. I have never experienced anywhere that is so story book perfect. The restaurant is literally on the beach. Everyone at our table kicked their shoes off, and we ate our food with our toes digging into the sand. The lighting is a combination of tiki torches and string lights, giving the impression that you're on a remote Island. I had the catch of the day which was blackened red snapper. The fish was a little over cooked and dry, but the overall experience made up for it.

This restaurant was our favorite during our stay in Savaneta. The ambiance was the best, great service and amazing food. The Lobster a la Vodka was amazing. We came back and had the same dish again!

This adults only restaurant is a true hidden gem that is actually a bit hard to find. Well south of the touristy areas, this intimate (12 tables?) restaurant is part of Ocean Villas lodging. Tables are in the sand, just off the ocean's edge. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We ordered a bottle of white wine (often the best drinking value) and for starters had the fish and shrimp ceviche, which I highly recommend. The catch of the day was mahi mahi, which both us found cooked to perfection. We ended with a chocolate layer cake that was well worth the calories. Like many restaurants here, there is a service fee automatically added to your bill that is shared by all servers. I recommend giving your waiter an additional tip personally (not added to your credit charge) if the service is excellent. Add this one to your list of places to eat in Aruba if you want a peak experience.

Yes, it's pricey; yes, it's a little off the beaten path; yes, you can find cheaper places to eat...but this is about fine dining. My wife and I arrived thinking we had reservations made by the apartment only to find our name not on the list. No problem, we were seated next to the water with beautiful views of the sunset. Our waiter was very prompt in greeting us and taking drink orders. Drinks arrived quickly and we looked over the menu. Our waiter mentioned the fresh catch was barracuda and that sounded like a great choice while my wife went with the tenderloin. Appetizers were served and we had time to relax and chat over them before the entrees arrived. My barracuda was perfect and my wife raved about the tenderloin. After the main course it was time for dessert - the only disappointment was they were out of chocolate cake. The service was excellent, food was outstanding, and the ambiance perfect for celebrating my wife's birthday. A great meal served in a truly remarkable setting. Just what you expect from fine dining, and we were not disappointed. I may have created a monster however, my wife is going to want to celebrate all her birthdays here!

Outstanding in every way - can’t imagine there’s a nicer dinner spot on the whole island. The kitchen lost electricity while we were there - and they handled it so deftly it didn’t hurt our experience at all. Little hard to find, but so worth the effort!!
