We had an amazing fishing day today with captain Juan Carlos and his mate Rudolf. All of the questions I had in advance of our trips were answered quickly . On the day of the trip we were greeted by Captain Juan Carlos and were welcome aboard Carla Fishing Charter. The boat was clean, has comfortable shades over seating area and top of the line equipment. Fishing was interactive and we had a blast. Yo be surrounded by turquoise water, beautiful view of the cruises and marina is already a treat and catching huge Wahoo and 4 Barracudas was absolutely spectacular. Captain Juan Carlos was amazing ensuring we had the best experience and his mate was very caring and always was offering us something to drink, taking care of bate and pointing out when there was a school of flying fish for us to see. We had a wonderful experience with Captain Juan Carlos and his crew. My husband went out with them twice in one week. They were punctual and helpful. On our second outing, we did a combo fishing/snorkeling trip. Captain took us to a wonderful snorkeling spot off the beaten path and it was amazing! We highly recommend them!

Horrible experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. I booked a 6 hour trip for my husbands birthday. The captain assumed we booked only a 4 hour trip and set sail accordingly. I did months of research and booked a 6 hour trip knowing that we had more options if the fish weren’t biting. Totally got skunked fishing and got completely screwed over on our day. Completely ruined our vacation. Tried to call the manager and number doesn’t work. Would never recommend.

We had THE BEST TIME with Carla Charters. Captain Juan Carlos and his first mate Gregory were very welcoming and friendly. They were funny, upbeat, and entertaining while we fished. We booked the 4 hour morning trip last week and LOVED it. Within 15 minutes of leaving the dock we had caught our first fish. Then about 15 minutes later a HUGE fish jumped out of the sea behind us and was hooked. After reeling it in we learned it was a 24 lb King Mackerel. During our 4 hours we caught a 34 lb Yellow Fin Tuna, a 24lb king mackerel, a second king mackerel and 2 barracuda. It was awesome! After we got back to the dock and took photos Gregory prepared a huge plate of some beautiful fillets of several different fish we caught and walked it over to "Lucy's" restaurant on the dock for us to eat fresh for lunch. It was delicious and we had enough for each of us to have 2 meals!! As we ate we watched other boats return to the dock empty handed and we were so thankful that Captain Juan Carlos knew exactly where to find the fish so that we could have an exciting day. We would recommend Carla Charters to everyone and can't wait to go back and fish with them again. Thank you Capt. Juan Carlos and Gregory!

My wife and I were in Aruba for vacation and were looking for a fishing charter to book while we were there. I chose Carla Fishing Charters because it came highly rated online and had solid-seeming reviews. We were not disappointed. We went out on a quick 4-hour trip with Juan Carlos and had a great time. He was extremely hard working, professional, and very knowledgable, both about fishing and the local history. He was also just a really fun personality and did everything he could to make sure we had a great time. I’d definitely recommend Carla Fishing Charters, and next time we go back, we’re definitely going out for longer!

Had an awesome time on the Carla this morning. The captain mate where excellent. They work hard to get us fish, which we did caught.

We went out with the Carla last year and had a great time. We booked again this year hoping for the same experience. Unfortunately we were fishing with a different mate this year. While we did catch some fish, the experience was terrible. The mate was a sarcastic and rude to me most of the time. He didn’t work hard at all to catch us fish like the previous mate did. The entire way in instead of switching lures and checking the baits, he was preparing for the next trip. Our lines tangled about 10 times which took time away from catching fish. The crew was nasty and didn’t make us feel comfortable or happy to be there. We will definitely not be returning again. To top it off the mate talked about “working hard for his tips” while we were on the Dock after we got it. He didn’t work hard at all. The only thing that was consisted was their attitude this year. Very sarcastic and sassy. Not enjoyable at all. Wish I had booked with a different charter. I have a ton of friends who have been going to Aruba no Longer will i Reccomend any

Did the afternoon charter for $375 with my husband and daughter. Juan Carlos captains and Gregory is the first mate. We didn’t have any deep sea fishing experience, didn’t matter. They explained everything to us. When the fish strike, they set the hook and u get in the chair and reel it in. We caught 7 albacore tuna which were really fun. But the best was the 73lb wahoo that my husband caught. Once back at the dock, Lucy’s restaurant will cook up your catch. Side note... don’t worry about packing cold drinks, they supply plenty on board. Great day. Thank you Gregory and Juan Carlos!

Our group had such an amazing time. The boat ride was smooth and relaxing. The scenery was beautiful. Our guides were really nice and knowledgeable. I am definitely doing this again when we return next year. I think I still would have an amazing time even if we didn’t catch any fish. This is a must do if you like being on a boat.

Weather is great! Fishing was fantastic, we caught 2 30-40 lbs Wahoo. Gregory is a great mate constantly changing bait and full of constant energy!! Don’t miss out!! Fish on!!!!! We had a great trip with Captain Juan Carlos and crew. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. We almost had a marlin on the first cast but after a grueling hour on the line, it slipped away! We will definitely be back next year for another trip out. We did catch some tuna which were delicious. Thank you for a great experience!

My wife and I booked with Carla’s on short notice. They took us on a 4 hour trip. We spent 4 hours catching a plethora of Mahi. The guys made us feel very welcome and were very helpful. It was a phenomenal experience! True fishermen.

Hi my name is Connor, this was my first deep sea fishing charter. I went with my dad and my uncle Brian, we caught some great fish. I caught a 30 pound king fish and a smaller tuna. My dad caught a good sized tuna and then a small one, and my uncle Brian caught a nice tuna. The captain and his first mate were awesome and helped me accomplish this dream of mine. I highly recommend this charter for a fun Aruba experience.

Captain does not speak with you at all. Never tried to switch anything up to put us on the fish. Went on a 6 hour trip and did the same technique the whole time. No change of depth, no change of tackle, speed, area. Only rating a one star because the first mate was nice, friendly, and tried to help us catch something. But the last hour or so he seemed to have given up as well.

Went on 2 trips while in Aruba - First one was happy day trip - it was awesome, even though I didn't catch anything, my two friends got one each - A mahi-mahi and a Benito (a?) - Second day was all day, but after extremely rough seas for 2 hrs (Two friends 🤮, but not ME! 🤪) - We headed back in - I did catch a barracuda though - Each time Juan Carlos & Gregory cut up and dropped our fish at Lucy's, they cooked them up and it was DELICIOUS!

Definitely would recommend Carla Charter. Great captain and mate. We caught lots of Mahi Mahi and even an amberjack . Our mate stayed on his feet and never slacked . Had a great time . Got to the dock and they did all work to prepare our fish for a meal at Lucy’s. It was the best lunch ever !

I have had experience fishing freshwater but never fished in the sea. I was extremely impressed with how well the Captain and his first mate Gregory treated us. As soon as the pole had a fish on it, we were given the pole immediately so we could fish. It’s very easy to tell that both of these guys are professionals. We caught one mahi mahi 6 bonitio and 1 wahoo that we had but I hooked himself at the last minute. Gregory was able to quickly filet the fish faster than I could and I have 20 years of fishing. We only wanted a small portion of fish to try and the captain was more than generous with what he gave to us. I very satisfied with my trip on Carla charters and if your still looking for a charter, Carla is one that I would do again any day.

Took my father and father in law out for a 4 hour fishing charter and had a good time. Caught two barracudas and one Wahoo. Captain and first mate were nice and knowledgeable. Only reason we are giving it a 4 star is because they kept half of our Wahoo. When I inquired about it I was told “We share. If you had caught one fish then we would filet it all.” It was a very awkward position to be in, and feel they should discuss that before the fish is filleted. I would do it again, but would likely give less of a tip or ask for my whole fish to be filleted.

4 hour trip, very clean safe, and professional, we enjoyed our time. Everyone caught fish even in the off season and we had the restaurant cook it for us right at the marina. Will do it again when we come back.

We had a great time! It was very conveniently located if you're staying at the Renaissance. Captain was great! We got there a little early and took off in minutes. He warned us that the fishing had been slow, but we did catch a barracuda. It was so fun. Plus, we had an awesome boat ride. We sailed around a huge tanker which was so amazing! Bottom line. It was easy and fun!
