I’ve been diving on the Island for 2 years. Of those 2 years we only use DOPA because of there vip service. Merril delivers tanks and gear to our door step and dive sites any time of the day. No other dive outfit on the island does this. Not to mention his prices are unbeatable for rentals and courses. Expect great service with a big friendly smile. We went on a two-tank excursion with Merril & Jean that was nothing short of spectacular! We had a lot of first time divers in our group (including myself), and both gentlemen were extremely patient, calm, and knowledgeable. They calmed nerves and were so attentive throughout the entire experience, so that is was extremely enjoyable and each of us felt incredibly prepared. Beyond our divers’ expertise, both sites were absolutely breathtaking. The first was a sunken ship and the second a beautiful coral reef with plenty of wildlife. Highly, highly recommend and will absolutely be back! This is an experience you will should not do without!!

Enjoyed one afternoon and one night diver with DoPA last week. This is a different dive experience than I have previously experienced but not in a bad way. You basically meet your dive party at the site (shore dives for me), have a brief safety chat and get in the water. What’s lacking it all the time at a dive shop shuffling around and not dive. Aruba has some great diving right off the shore. I felt comfortable working with Merrill (owner) and his dive instructors (Ray and Sean). If back in Aruba I’d absolutely go again with these guys.

Forget the cruise ship excursions! Merrill was a fantastic instructor and very energetic. Anyone looking to do beginner scuba, this is the person to go with. He is very patient and instructive. The reef he took us to was awesome. He did a great job putting me at ease so I could enjoy the experience. On the island tour after he took us to all the top spots which included the local beer. You couldn't find a better person to share the island experience with. Will definitely come back to see him if we make it to the island again. You will not be disappointed.

Did 3 days of diving, 1 shore , 1 boat and 1 night. The night dive especialy was verry fun, they give you one white light witch is nice to look at the fish on the reef and one purpel uv light wich gives the coral verry cool colors when you shine in it and gives your dive such a cool effect. So recomend you to do this dive

We got our PADI Open Water certification with Divers of Poseidon, and we had a lovely time with Merrill, Rayron, and the rest of their team. Merrill always got back to us quickly whenever we had questions, and he and his team were flexible when it came to meeting times/locations. We were even able to book an extra dive, last minute, on the busiest day of the year! 5 stars to the team. We are so glad we chose them for our certification.

After 30 years, and with Merrill's encouragement & patient teaching, I upgraded to Advanced Open Water Diver. The night dive was a little scary, but I knew that I was in good hands. Seeing the coral fluoresce under UV light was really amazing! The deep dive (100 ft) had amazing visibility! Merrill taught me about navigating with a compass, and pointed out all the interesting residents of the reef. Using my GoPro3, I got pictures & video of so many types of fish. I hope to see them in the Spring for Nitrox!!
