We always enjoy going to island flea markets so that we can support the local economy rather than the large corporate stores. This year was extra special because they were hurting due to the pandemic. However, I'll be the first to say that overall it looked the same as every other island flea market we'd ever seen. With one exception. One BIG exception! Look for this stand to find items handmade in Columbia. And don't make the mistake I did--which was buying too little! Everything is well done and unique--you won't be sorry!

Love going to this market when I'm in Aruba! It is just outside of the main tourist/downtown area and has a great selection of souvenir type items, some are locally made! My favorite item to get it the handmade, jewelry made with Larimar stones for myself, friends and family. I make a special trip during my stay just for the beautiful, turquoise jewelry! They also have nice t-shirts, hats, dresses, swim gear, purses, picture frames, key chains, magnets, etc. Be sure to bring cash! It is definitely worth the trip 😊

The local market is great you have to find out the times since Covid restrictions limit the hours but definitely must go here to get some souvenirs, they will work pricing with you at some spots.

A little weird. The goods here seem to be mostly made in China. There are loads of designer “inspired” bags here as in much of Aruba. Didn’t love it. It’s cute and that’s about it.

We went hoping it would be a farmers market but only on Sunday and there's barely any produce. Lots of souvenirs and snack shacks.

Great opportunity to support more of the locals but watch your stuff. We unfortunately were there when a woman was pickpocketed from her purse (phone and credit card taken). It's super hot inside these tents so be prepared...

There weren't any booths set up, the people are always friendly but hardly any vendors. The one girl I talked to said, they're not getting anything in to sell. Still try to support the locals and bought somethings.

This was our first stop as soon as we got off the ship on Sunday! There were not as many sellers as our previous trip but they were very friendly & the prices were reasonable. We ended our shopping spree eating local BBQ at a local food truck which was incredible!

Might be good for one the cruise ships come into port but typical cheap tourist junk to say you visited

  • 4/5 JoAnn L. 2 years ago on Google
This is a typical outdoor market, not for food but clothing and souvenirs. There is plenty to choose from and some bargaining is possible. We go here yearly when in Aruba

  • 3/5 Neil M. 5 months ago on Google
It's good and the prices are good. However, it's very samey, each stall sells, pretty much, what the next stall sells.

Got some Aruba-centric souvenirs from here. Prices were decent... $7 for baseball caps (or $6 for 2 or more). The people were overall pleasant to us.

Friendly people, not too pushy, and always willing to try to make the customers happy. Remember they are trying to make a living like everyone else. Nice to support the local economy.

Everything you would expect from an outdoor market including great one-of-a-kind handmade pieces. Haggling over price is okay but be respectful to not offend.

(Translated by Google) not so busy today but a very diverse market with stalls selling souvenirs, jewelry, plants, local food and drinks. And of course we ourselves with our homemade art zelf (Original) niet zo druk vandaag maar wel een hele diverse markt met kraampjes met souvenirs, sieraden, planten, local food en drankjes. En wijzelf natuurlijk met onze zelfgemaakte kunst😉

A true local experience! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Very reasonable prices--- not price gouging like other shops in more touristy areas. The vendors were not pushy or overbearing at all!

  • 4/5 salome F. 3 years ago on Google
Cheaper prices on everything dont buy close to the hotel.

  • 3/5 Mimi H. 3 years ago on Google
Not a bad location to stop and do some shopping. COVID has Really hurt their business so less than half of the stalls are actually occupied and being used. Be prepared when you go in to be bombarded by the people working there selling you their items. They are friendly about it and yet are very intentional about selling stuff to any tourists that come along because not that many tourist do. Make sure you bring cash. They take US dollars or florins. They are open to barter and some of the stalls sell the same things so make sure to make your rounds in case you find someone offering a better deal. You can time some really unique gifts at a great price

  • 1/5 Sarah H. 3 years ago on Google
At least during COVID, the local market wasn't worth the time. It was mostly old junk, a small stand with fruit and a few stands with cheap aruba t-shirts, jewelry and kids clothes.
