Arubus is one heck of a public transit system. This is one simple way to get to some of the most beautiful beaches in Arubu. I used it the whole time I was here. I even got to ride around the city picking up the kids from after school which was neat to see. I really think they should work on giving out transfer tickets. Why should I have to pay another fare to continue my trip? Also, the maps are hard to read, just know the bus comes often and just press the button when you need to get off. If they had transfer tickets I would have given Arubus four stars. Other than that it’s still a safe way to travel the city while blending in with the locals.

Took a little getting used to but get a day pass! It helps so much & is only $10 for unlimited rides! Very clean, timely, and really helpful drivers!

Great that they have public transport in Aruba.. we bought a year card for our kids which makes it a lot cheaper to take a bus. Service was allright.

My bike broke and the busdriver denied me the transport because of their strict rules, even if the bus was completely empty! I had to walk around 15 km with my broken bicycle. I am really disappointed.

Well.....we tried to take the local bus by the cruise port to Arashi Beach. We purchased our passes, waited an hour for a bus that's supposed to come every twenty minutes, with no luck. My daughter's and I decided to cut our losses and head back to the ship, since the afternoon weather was about as comfortable as a residence in Hell. πŸ₯΅πŸ˜‰ I did go ask the ticket agent if I was in the wrong place. He told me the next bus was coming in 8 minutes. We waited another 1/2 hour (that's a looooong 8 minutes) before walking away. As we were crossing the street to the pier entrance, we may have seen the bus we had so patiently been waiting for on the main drag. (Not sure if that was our bus or not, since I couldn't see the bus number.) I asked my daughter's if they wanted to run back to the bus station, but we were all spent from the heat. Sorry Aruba, I kinda left your island with not the best opinion. Maybe next time.

Schedule seems to be more theory. Had to wait more than an hour for the bus. Price is nice. 10$ for a daypass with unlimited rides. Better use maps with GPS to oriented, names of the busstops aren't announced.

Rude employees through phone. I called to ask for some information about the bus and then the guy started yelling on the phone?? He was calm before but then i asked a few more questions since it is my FIRST time. And then he started yelling.

Here most residents go to apply or renovate their bus trip card that is much cheaper than to pay cash on the bus

Spent the week of Oct 24 thru 31in Aruba and the bus system was our main transport. Service to and from hotel area amazing, fares a bargain by any comparison and the drivers along with the folks at the Oranjsted transit center patient and pleasant. Our local transit agency here in the states could take a few lessons on how it works. I know, I'm one of their employees. Thank you all!

The bus leaves whenever it wants to leave its literally a guessing game everyday the bus thats supposed to come hourly arrives either LITERALLY 15-30min early or 15-30min late LITERALLY and the schedules are unclear when the bus is full they just leave you, its hard enough for us locals imagine the tourists.
