I've only done horseback riding twice previously and i felt safe and comfortable except a few times when our guide sped up the horses going up short hills. My mom and I went early in the morning and the view we had the whole time was gorgeous and magical. Our guide was very fun and cheerful. Don't forget to put sunscreen on really well before you go.

This was one of the best experiences of my trip! I've been riding my whole life so I was definitely looking forward to this and I was NOT disappointed! I had so much fun the first time, I decided to go a second time on my last day in Aruba! It may seem expensive initially, but for what you get, it's totally worth it! If you book reservations through the Gold Mine Ranch website you'll save $10. They provided my transportation and arrived promptly at my resort for pickup. During the ride to the ranch, the driver will provide you with some history of the island and of the Gold Mine Ruins that you'll see during your ride. From what I hear, most of the horses/animals on the ranch are rescues which truly warms my heart. Upkeep and maintenance of the horses is very expensive and knowing that most of the animals on the ranch are rescues made it easy for me to spend the money. They all seemed to be in good shape and well cared for. They have horses for all skill levels. Even if you've never ridden a horse before, they'll have a horse for you! My guides, Candy and Daniel, were great and friendly. Because it can be very windy, this isn't really a tour where the guides will be talking about history and landmarks the whole time. However, they will answer any questions you might have and are great about taking pictures for you. They were also very impressive horsemen! Because I had experience, Candy briefly took me away from the group and we cantered at the oceans edge and up the white sand dunes. I thought this was such an added bonus that other locations may not offer. Thanks Candy!! During the tour you will be able to see some unreal views of the gold mine ruins, white sand beaches, the hidden lagoon and valley, baby natural bridge and the untouched Aruba desert. You'll even get to walk your horse into the ocean! When returning back to the ranch, you'll get to reward your horse with a carrot and have the option of purchasing your personal photo in a Gold Mine Ranch frame. I've seen some reviews on here that complain about the horses not getting water at the end of their ride. PLEASE NOTE that it can be life threatening to give your horse cold water immediately after your ride. The horses MUST cool down before drinking water or they could colic. Don't be quick to judge the care of the horses if you have no equestrian experience. Be sure to dress appropriately! Long pants/jeans with closed toe shoes! No flip flops or shorts, unless you want to be extremely uncomfortable the whole time. Wear plenty of sunblock because you will be under the hot sun for over an hour. Helmets are provided if you want them. Truly an experience I will remember for a lifetime. It'll be the first thing that I do when I return to Aruba!

Great place to go horseback riding in Aruba!!! They have an excellent selection of horses for the novice to the experienced riders and take excellent care of their horses. The rides go thru the desert outback to the ocean and along the shoreline. You'll see several sites along the way, with a stop or two for pictures. You never get off your horse during the ride and the guides will take your picture with your phone. For those that want to trot or canter there are places to do that and the novice riders are given the option to try it or continue walking their horse. The tours include pickup from hotels or the cruise port, riding instructions, lockers, a cold bottle of water (for after the ride), apples or carrots after the ride for your horse, optional helmets. This is a great way to see the natural beauty of Aruba! The Gold Mine Ranch is also a rescue ranch, taking in stray dogs, cats, chickens & unwanted horses. So when in Aruba, do yourself a favor and go to The Gold Mine Ranch for a wonderful horseback riding experience!

We had a wonderful ride this morning. I am an experienced rider, but my husband is not— we both really enjoyed ourselves. You get to really ride the horses—they don’t just follow behind. We were also able to trot and canter, and that is unusual on a trail ride. Just 5 riders in our group witch was perfect! Thank you so much!

Nice. We stopped by during our UTV tour. Had a quick dip and continued on our journey. Very small area. No room to spend much time so as to allow others to take a dip.

(Translated by Google) You walk down a steep wooden staircase. While walking backwards on a rocky path. You have to be careful that the waves of the sea do not hit you over the rocks. Then you arrive at the natural pool. Great to see but watch out that you are not drawn by the current in the sea at the end.

I rented a car that wasn't rated to go to the more famous natural pool but was completely surprised to find out about this one and can't imagine the other one being any better. It's just down from the mine ruins and you just take a ladder down to it. The best part is it had a little cliff jump you can do into it. Don't miss this stop.

Did the tour with Jesus for the early morning tour. It was an hour and a half. I am a beginner. I never rode a horse before. But this experience was so fun! The horses were well behaved and obviously know the trail. He taught us quickly and we spent more time on the trails. Highly reccomend this. We were the only ones that showed up so it was like we got a private tour! 😁

My husband and I did a private ride and was absolutely worth it! Our guide Jesus was excellent….He had great horsemanship, was very attentive to both of us, which made the ride a lot of fun, AND he was the best photographer! The horses were in excellent condition and VERY well trained. Not to mention, the views were OUTSTANDING! Book this now!

Awesome venue. Like a cross between the old west and a Carribean beach. Mixed skill levels were well accommodated with galloping, trotting and cantering for those comfortable, and a slow walk possible for the novices. Amazing photo opportunities throughout! Guides were super helpful l, and for a solidly middle of the road rider like me, gave great tips. We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend it!

The highlight of our trip was our 1.5 hour ride at the Gold Mine Ranch. The owner and wranglers were friendly and helpful. I’ve been riding horses my whole life and this was one of the top 5 rides of all time. We walk, trotted and galloped our way down the beach. The horses were great! Can’t recommend this stable enough!

I have had “riding a horse on an island” on my bucket list for 40 years and the guys at Gold Mine Ranch did not disappoint!! They were informative, funny, and very aware of the horses and their riders. We had a 90 minute ride which included walking, trotting (Paso Fino style), and cantering, plus brief stops for picture opportunities and a chance for the horses to get a rest. The views and landscape were incredible! It was absolutely perfect!! I will be back for sure!

One of the highlights of our trip to Aruba. We did a private tour so that our 6 year old felt more comfortable. The instructors were top notch. They made us feel comfortable and supported and taught us some good tricks. The landscape on this tour is epic!!! The cacti and sea are truly special. This is a different side of Aruba and truly a special way to experience it.

A great ride! We would definitely do this excursion again. The staff were super nice and the horses were lovely. A lot of trail rides you just kind of slowly walk along but this one there were times we could trot or canter which was nice for those who have some riding experience and enjoy a more spirited ride while still being safe and controlled for the beginners, and the views obviously make it a great trail.

I surprised my husband with this horseback riding excursion on our recent trip to Aruba. The experience was amazing! The staff ride with you the whole time and even take pictures at certain stop points. The views are breathtaking! You have ocean and desert trails combined. The horses are beautiful and are well trained. I have never been on a horse ever in my life before this and I felt very comfortable and had so much fun riding! I will definitely be back to The Gold Mine Ranch on my next visit to Aruba. This is a memory I will never forget!

Excellent experience! We did the horseback riding and jeep natural pool tour. The horses were healthy and lively, the guides friendly and helpful and the scenery beautiful! We were able to go faster on the horses at times if desired. Rocky, our guide on the jeep tour was awesome. He was very informative and helpful, a definite rock star! The scenery was outstanding. We visited Feine cave and the natural pool. I highly recommend going in the Natural Pool, it was worth the bumpy ride there!

We were a group of 7, all basically beginners. The horses were very well taken care of and our guides were great! We spent the full 90 minutes riding and got to see everything in the area. The men in the group all would definitely recommend wearing pants…they all had shorts on. We did the 4pm tour and thought it was going to be very hot but the wind keeps you nice and cool. One of the most memorable activities of our vacation..we would highly recommend this ranch.

The Gold Mine experience was wonderful. From the moment we were picked up at the Hyatt by a very personable, informative and interesting driver until we were dropped back off. The horses were very well taken care of. Our Guide, Candy, was wonderful. I had the time of my life riding and doing something I had always dreamed of doing - riding on the beach at a beautiful location. Thank you for providing an A++++ experience. I went here last year and it was amazing!! The trails were beautiful and people are so kind. The horses were tacked up and ready to go when you got there. We got to stop and take pictures with the beautiful view. We also all got the chance to walk, trot, canter and gallop. Definitely plan on going here again.

The people took their time to explain safety based instructions, to help us get on and off the horses. During the ride they took time to let us take as many pictures as we wanted, helped us with steering the horses, and made sure we felt safe at all times. Would definitely return. Every week if I could.

Couldn’t have enjoyed our time more. A highlight of our amazing 20th Anniversary trip. Our guid Andrus was excellent. We had a private tour just the two of us. We didn’t just get to ride on the sand but even in the ocean. Multiple chances to get up to a gallop were exhilarating!

Took an early morning ride, it was the highlight of our vacation. The horses were very well trained and the trails were nice. It was the first time my son was on a horse and felt very comfortable and had a smile on his face the whole time. There was a family there who were back a 2nd time in a week they liked it so much. Pickup at your hotel was a plus.

Absolutely incredible. Amazing guides who were so patient with me (a beginner.) the horses are beautiful. My husband and I had a great time! The Gold Mine Ranch was so amazing. We did a group tour with 4 people and it was so intimate and fun, my first time riding horses and I left there like a pro! The view is absolutely to die for everything is so beautiful there. Instructors and workers are very nice and accommodating. If you vacation in Aruba this is a must 10/10!

We had a great time. We were picked up at the resort and off we headed. We were given a quick refresher riding course and we were off. Riding on the beach was awesome. The horses seemed to know what to do before you had them do it. I was riding on Colorado. He loved to run. The cool breeze from the ocean was great. A must do when in Aruba.

BEST experience EVER!!!!!! Our driver to the ranch doubles as a photographer. He’s so friend and fun. Made the entire experience enjoyable. The photos turned out GORGEOUS! My fiancée loved the horses and the private tour. It gave you a whole new sense of the island. Such friendly people and our tour guide Candy, such an awesome friendly guy. I’m an inexperienced rider and he was slow and patient the entire time. It was a safe and fun atmosphere

I think this is a lovely way to see the sights of the island. The guides do take good care of you. They are able to guide all their well trained horses and even position them for picture taking. Nothing to worry about. They have lockers for your things and helmets if you choose to wear them. They give a tutorial before the ride and the owner does a meet and greet. They talk about their passion of rescuing animals and give a bit of a history background. There is a clean washroom there. And the horses are so sweet. The views are gorgeous. The photographer is talented. They were on time to pick and drop us off. The group was just the right size. Well worth it. Very enjoyable.

My husband and I booked a tour on Saturday and we were supposed to be picked up at our hotel around 8:15am on Monday morning. We waited til 8:50am and when no one showed up we had to call the company to find out that they forgot about us. So we had to take a taxi to the place. Once we pulled in, the group was already leaving, we were rushed by the personnel to fill out all the paperwork and quickly got on last two horses to go on the tour. It was my second or third time riding a horse so I was terrified and I made them aware of that. My husband on the other hand rode before so he was pretty comfortable. The guide made my husband follow him first and I was behind them. Once we started walking I was pretty uncomfortable being the last one, my horse got a little behind them and then started to run faster towards them, which made me very scared. After that I didn’t want to ride anymore, so I asked to get off the horse and walk back and for my husband to continue the tour since we only walked for 5-7 minutes. The guide instructed me that if I don’t want to ride anymore all three of us have to return and leave my horse. They then took us back to our hotel. The whole experience was less than pleasant. We paid $170 to ride for less than 10 minutes. I think if we would have went with a group I would have felt more comfortable and less scared. They were not nice or apologetic even though it was their fault that we were late and felt rushed and made me even more nervous. The guy who drove us back didn’t say anything the whole time we were driving back to our hotel, right when we pulled in he offered to come back the next day but we were flying back home that day so we obviously couldn’t, and I don’t think I would anyway due to their unprofessional staff. I think some portion of our money back would be more fair. Would not recommend this company if you are a beginner

Absolutely wonderful time on our ride… The scenery was absolutely amazing the staff and horses are great! Very personable.......we did pay extra $ 50 to have photographer travel with us and take pictures, it was so worth it!! He really worked hard at getting memorable pictures of us and the amazing the scenery and then gave us digitals of over 100 shots. They worked hard to confirm that we were riding to our ability. Would suggest this is one of the coolest ways to experience some of Aruba's natural beauty.

We did the 90 minute tour on 12/10/19 and the experience was amazing. We were picked up from our resort by Curt, who was timely and friendly. The staff on-site was polite. They have a small locker to lock up your belongs while you are on the tour. I forgot our tour guides name (he was the most senior), but he did an excellent job- he was upbeat, helpful, and informative. The original horses are recused and have offspring at the ranch (it was not busy and were allowed to visit the offspring). They also have a rescued dogs and cats that greeted us on arrival. One of the dogs, Rosa, followed us for the entire tour! At the end of the tour we got to give the horses a treat, carrots and apples.

This is by far the best horse ranch on the island!! I visit Aruba at least twice a year and I always schedule a ride with this ranch! They take such great care of their horses and they are real knowledgeable about each of the horses they have ready for the rides. You will get the opportunity to ride along the beach and walk the horses through the shallow parts of the water. Andreas and Curt were very kind and helpful! I love Kimba and I would recommend her if you ride at least a few times a year. She shows that she loves the work she does and takes pride in it! I highly recommend riding with this ranch!

My son (9) and I had an amazing time on this tour. The tour guide (Candy) was wonderful and really helped my son to feel comfortable on his very first horse ride. We paid the extra $50 for photography and it was worth EVERY penny. Highly recommended to pay the photographer as it was very difficult to try to take pictures of our own AND hold the reigns of the horse. We had Elegant and Victoria for our horses and we loved them. The entire experience was amazing and we would definitely do it again. My son wants to go horseback riding very soon!

This is another place that you must visit if you go to Aruba. Love this spot. It is a magic place. You need to go down a wood ladder and climb some rocks. Great spot for a chill swim that used to be a "hidden" gem. Time it where there is not one of those God awful UTV tours on site and you'll have a great time. Jumping in the ocean-fed pool from the cliff about 10 feet up is a lot of fun!

Very glad we got to visit this pool. Although the bigger "natural pool" requires an off road vehicle (so we didn't visit it) this was an excellent choice. The number 1 recommendation I have is to wear footwear, whether it's sneakers or water shoes, the rocks you must walk across are coral and/or volcanic rock.... Very Sharp! The jump into the pool isn't terribly high, but enough to be fun. Not sure if it was high or low tide at the time, but it was just about 6' deep when we visited. Would definitely like to visit here again!

Fun place to explore. You have to climb down some pretty steep stairs, and then walk across some sharp rocks to get there. You should be smarter than I was and NOT go bare foot. There is a nice ledge to jump from into the water, some nice creatures to see if you bring goggles, we even saw a small squid 🦑.

Small but really cute! Cute blue fish! It’s wild how weird colored the stones and pool seem to be. The way they look in photos is the same as it does in person. Eerie yet intriguing. It would be nice to see some photos of direct sunlight entering in the pool. It’s in such shaded placement I think you’d have to get there early.

Wear sneakers here these rocks are sharp!! You have to take that ladder down and trek over those sharp rocks where you’re encouraged to jump a short height to get to the small pool. After you jump in about 7 feet or more of water it gets shallower the further in where you can swim around the pink rocks, you’ll see in someone else’s photo, to climb out. Caution as there is a heavy current! Fun! But only for the agile and good swimmer!

(Translated by Google) It was crowded and you had to climb down a wooden staircase. Therefore we have remained over. It is located next to the gold mine ruin, so you're still in the area when you visit this area. Update, day two again visited. Down and went to the natural pool. This natural pool is smaller than the well-known (Conchi), but we think this natural pool is much nicer!

Had a great time, can't recommend enough. These little ponies are quick! Getting into a full gallop was really exciting. If you have some riding experience you can have a lot of fun.

Went on a private tour with Andres while on our honeymoon. We loved it so much, we went back for another private tour with him! The Gold Mine Ranch was the best experience we had in Aruba! The views are incredible and you get to see more of the natural side of the island. Thank you so much for the memories!

We went today at the 4pm tour. Andre and Candito were fantastic guides. They told us about the history of the rocks, the island, everything. It was a fun experience. It was fun!

One of our best experiences in Aruba! Candy and Luis were fantastic guides. I had never ridden a horse before, but I felt comfortable on our ride because of their helpful instructions. The views are lovely and we stopped a couple of times so that our guides could take photos of us together. We had a blast!

This is one of the BEST experiences I’ve had here in Aruba. Their website is easy to book off of, the staff is incredible and the views are amazing. We own horses and weren’t sure what to expect. It is hands down the best place to go. Thank you to the The Gold Mine Ranch for an amazing tour and memories.

Had a great time with my son and daughter. Staff was very accommodating to us. Tour guides were very skilled to handle any situation, especially me when I clearly had no idea what I was doing. Gold Mine Ranch is a definite must when visiting Aruba!

My husband and I are in Aruba on our honeymoon and chose The Gold Mine Ranch as our first excursion. Needless to say we were EXTREMELY impressed with the ranch, staff, horses and beauty of Aruba. The owner picked us up early from our hotel and both Andres and Candy took us on an amazing tour of the less seen side of Aruba. The views were 10/10 and the guides were extremely personable. We cannot wait to go back to the ranch for another ride!!

Awesome trip with an awesome staff that made the trip a blast. Laughs, sun, cool breeze and well behaved horses. We were told the ranch started rescuing dogs and horses from the island which then led them to doing trail rides. There were also 3 dogs that traveled with us the whole way. Plenty of cool spots to take photos including an old gold mine and the baby natural bridge. I highly recommend this spot for a quick get away on the island they even come pick you up where ever you are staying.

We just had an amazing ride! Our guide Andres was a great horseman! He was super informative about the area. Our horses were so sweet and very well taken care of! Thank you Johnny for getting us to and from the ranch. We would definitely recommend Gold Mine Ranch! Thank you so much!

We were recommended Goldmine Ranch and were absolutely amazed by the entire experience!!! The staff and guides were wonderful and a blast. The whole experience was so much more than we expected. We went on the second day of our vacation and when we had so much fun- we were trying to figure out how we could go again before we went home! Great ranch, great value, even better guides!

Great team, felt relatively safe as a beginner rider. Staff was friendly and attentive. Horses seemed well taken care of. Views on the tour were wonderful.

One thing I would say if you book through TripAdvisor or Viator to book beforehand and get the tickets AND the pick up point I had a tiny delay in getting my confirmation for the pickup point so had to rush last minute -only reason why I couldn't confirm 5 stars- other than than I'm an experienced rider and I must say I loved how healthy and well looked after the horses were, we had kids too and it was mandatory for them to wear helmet, a thorough explanation of how to ride on a Western saddle was provided, I could speak both in Spanish and English, we were given water at the end of the ride and we could gallop to add some more fun. The Wariruri area is gorgeous the guides stop to take pictures, I rode Colorado a very good boy 📸 ps you can stop to feed your horse carrots at the end of the ride I loved that

This was by far the best horseback riding tour I ever had. Our tour guide was Jesus and he was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, he put in 200% effort to make sure we saw all of the natural wonders of Aruba. He took the best pictures and videos so we had so much content to remember our ride. When we return to Aruba next year we will definitely do this tour again and specifically request Jesus. Book this tour! You won't regret it!

Always a great time and Candi is a great guide, horseman and photographer! My family has been fortunate enough to have been able to ride horses on many vacations around the world and at least 6 times. We always come back to Gold mine Ranch with Candi and Johnny.

We booked this excursion long before our arrival to Aruba for my daughter and I. She is an experienced rider (she shows horses at home) and I am not experienced at all other than 2 trail rides. The guides were great! They were patient and ensured that everyone had fun. The weather was rainy for the beginning of our tour but it didn’t stop us. We had a blast and I would do it all again! Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend this place enough!! From the beginning to the end every single person on their staff was so friendly and funny while also ensuring that everyone was safe and happy! They gave us perfect instructions and I felt very prepared! The tour itself was beautiful and the scenery was amazing! They stopped twice and took fantastic pictures of us with the scenery. The galloping was added fun and such a blast! This is definitely one of the highlights of our trip and for my first time riding I couldn’t have had a better experience!

Gold Mine Ranch provided an unforgettable horseback riding experience on Aruba's rugged and beautiful north coast. We did the Cool Paradise Tour and could not have had a better time. The horses are well cared for, and the guides are friendly and helpful. The scenery was spectacular! We even got to gallop a few times. Highly recommended, I would definitely ride with them again.

Highly highly recommend booking a horseback riding adventure with gold mine ranch if you’re in Aruba and enjoy horses and horseback riding. The tour was absolutely breathtaking. We got a private tour (just my husband and I with a tour guide) due to miscommunication with pickup from the hotel and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Our tour guide was informative and made sure we had a great time. My horse elegancia (elegance) loved getting in the water and kicked and played in the water - which was one of the highlights of the tour. Oh, and our tour guide took my phone and took EXCEPTIONAL pictures! Add excellent photographer to his resume! Thanks again for such a great experience, and we’ll absolutely be back!

This is the best tour on the north side of the island! The EZ Raider electric scooters are so cool. You don’t get dirty like the ATV tours and the group is small so you are not going to all the cool spots with 20-30 people. This is our second year doing this activity. Will be doing it every year. Absolutely best bang for the buck!!!!

They deserve more than 5 stars! C from the minute we booked, gold mine ranch was excellent with professionalism, communications, and accommodations. Alex/Carlos picked us up from our hotel (after we gave them the wrong resort info), Jesus was our tour guide. Absolutely incredible.

Daughter had an awesome time. They pick you up and drop you back at your hotel which was very convenient. The horses are well. They will put you on a horse appropriate for your riding ability. Will book again on our next trip.

Loved using the electric EZ Raiders to see spots we hadn’t yet visited. We happened to have a private tour and it was amazing! Plus they pick you up from your hotel!

HANDS down, the HIGHLIGHT of my 12 day cruise!! What an amazing experience and the crew were ALL amazing! Our group had everyone from experienced riders to first time on a horse and EVERYONE loved the experience. From pick up to drop off, great experience - don't delay, schedule and enjoy! The ranch is also a rescue, so your money stays local AND helps the ranch. Be ready to be in awe and your face will hurt from all the smiling!

this was our favorite experience in Aruba! if you’re interested in horseback riding in Aruba you need to choose this place, the rest are inland and you dont get as great views as you do with this ranch. we will absolutely be back every time we come here 🫶🏻

This was our absolute favorite experience on Aruba! The horses are lovely. Our guide, Candy, was kind, patient, attentive and lovely. They picked out horses that well suited our abilities. I was with my 15 year old daughter. We ride through the beautiful natural desert like landscape, stopped at an old mine structure for photos, continued to the coast and stopped for photos under a natural bridge. This is the first time we have ridden in the water. The horses seemed to love it. Wear sunscreen, pants, and sneakers that you don’t mind getting wet/dirty. I am glad we were wearing long sleeve shirts. There is no shade. I will certainly return. I am also glad we booked a private ride. We were able to run with the horses since we have experience. I truly believe this is good for riders of any experience level. They will tailor the ride to your needs. Five stars, ten if you include my daughter’s!
