A unique snorkeling spot you wont find many tourists frequenting. This isn't your calm float over schools of fish outing like many of the other snorkeling spots on Aruba, you will be actively swimming to keep position over the reef here. From our experience Mangel Halto has the beat reef structure in Aruba and lots of interesting fish to see. It can be dangerous however and does require a swim in and out, plus a constant eye on motorboats. Research the spot before heading here. Definitely one of the two top spots on the island, along with Boca Catalina.

Hands down the best beach for snorkeling on the island. Lots of beautiful and healthy corals. Visibility was amazing. If you swim a bit further out, you can see where the sea floor starts to drop and it’s a great place to practice free diving.

Beautiful beach in between mangroves. Shallow and clear water, not overcrowded. Great beach for relaxing, enjoying nature and swimming/snorkeling!

This is a locals beach. It's secluded by mangrove trees. It's popular with the locals because of the various colors of blue water. There are mangroves that supply plenty of shade and cutouts for lounging under. The water is shallow and has very easy waves. This location is ideal for families to enjoy a day at the beach. We saw a whole family celebrating a birthday here. There are rocks near the shoreline, but there is a sandy bottom access into the ocean here.

Magical. Exploring & meeting the locals. Beautiful family beach. Great snorkeling. After take a stroll to the, Play Garden for some flower tea & art by Noortje. Then make reservations for La Tavola for a fabulous dinner. A day in Pos Chiquitos you will not be disappointed. Easy access from anywhere on the island. If you don’t have a rental, take a taxi. Went on a mostly cloudy day, sun trying to pierce through at times, and the water was crystal clear. Lots of great snorkeling! Seen amazing big Parrot fish amongst a variety of others.

Mangel Halto is absolutely beautiful. We stayed across the street and loved having this beach as home base. It was the perfect spot to watch the sunset, go for an afternoon dip, or just read by the water.

This is a beautiful secluded beach that is great for families and snorkeling. The water is shallow enough for young kids and this goes out pretty far. I believe there’s also a sandbar out there, but I never went over to it. Fish are all around and small crabs lurk on the rock formations near the shore. It’s more than just the typical beach shoreline; there are quite a few secluded spaces with mangroves that provide shade and your own small stretch of beach. It’s worth a stop even if it’s just to see what’s over there.

Disappointed. Expected this beach to be much more than what it actually was. Expected a quiet secluded serene spot but that was not the case. Walked through some jungle tunnel to get there. Once there , there was a small crowd on a very small beach. No place to be far from people. Some shouting kids and adults drinking beer and playing loud music. The beach is very rocky. Nothing special. Save the trip, stick to Eagle beach and Baby beach which are gorgeous and worth it.

Such a beautiful beach area so much to explore, there are some crabs by the rocks when you walk down but they mind their business. The water is so nice to swim in and almost all around his waist deep!

(Translated by Google) One of the loneliest beaches we saw on our walk through Aruba, we only got to know it on the way to Baby Beach, if they are with their own vehicle, it is certainly worth knowing. It does not have infrastructure like many of the beaches on the island. I had never seen a mangrove beach until I visited Mangel Halto. These crazy trees are amazing. I love the wild tangle of roots that punctuate the shoreline. If you love snorkeling, this is a great place to do it. The reef is jammed with marine life. It's all in walking distance-you don't need to swim anywhere or get on a boat. You can even walk out on the reef and have the fish swim around your feet, enjoying them without putting on a snorkel mask. There are no amenities at Mangel Halto, so you often have the entire beach to yourself. (There are a couple of high top tables, a few palapas and a bench.) If you've had enough of crowds and just want to breath in rustic Aruba, this is the beach to do it. The sand is soft and pliable. The colors of the sea look like a Pantone color chart for blue. The water is warm and calm. There is plenty of parking. Just take the steps down to the beach.

This is the coolest park on the island. You'll see lots of locals on the weekends with food, music, and laughter. The mangroves are amazing, the snorkelling is unreal, and the park rangers are kind. :) The photo below is looking at it from a short distance (4 minute walk away)

(Translated by Google) Snorkel tip! Beautiful beach, most beautiful place for snorkeling. Fairly shallow, many fish can see. Where you look at the sea from the beach. Nice snorkeling is right behind the waves. So behind the surf. Ca. Walk 50 - 75 meters into the water, through the waves (shoes are needed) and you swim in beautiful coral. You can also enter the water via the mangrove, swim to the yellow buoy, then swim off the coast (Original) Snorkeltip!

This beach is a perfect hidden gem. There is lots of shade to rest and cabanas if you can snag one. The shallow areas have little crabs everywhere. The snorkeling was great too.

Beautiful spot to snorkel from, plenty of fish life to see, entry from the mangrove is idyllic. The beach was not overcrowded more locals than tourists, there is a small beach bar once again with a very local feel to it. Snorkelling out in the deeper waters towards the yellow buoy a sunken cabin cruiser can be seen close to a small white surface marker at the time I was there. Beware of boat traffic in the area use of an SMB would be recommended.

You can park for free and enter the water by climbing down a ladder. There may also be a platform and small beach area but we stayed along the side that is parallel the road. Water is pretty shallow. There are no washroom facilities. The beach is gorgeous and perfect for snorkeling. A true hidden gem.

Water is shallow and murky. The seabed is rocky. Quite challenging to do activities here. I guess if you somehow manage to make it all the way out there from the beach, it could be a nice snorkeling spot.

Beautiful area and amazing sea life to check out. You do have to venture out quite a way to do some good snorkeling but still an awesome area to hang out for the day.

(Translated by Google) Not really a white sand beach but in the mangroves and it is very pretty. I advise you to go to the edge of the rocks (ladder to go down into the water) and swim a little further to see magnificent fish !! It's a change from Eagle beach or Palm beach! By far the best beach on the island. Far fewer tourists than Eagle, Palm, or Baby beaches. It has shade thanks to the nearby mangrove trees, an protected lagoon and a beautiful reef just offshore perfect for snorkeling. There is even a small shipwreck in about 40ft of water nearby. Our favorite place to relax and go for a dip.
