Two words: Life changing. My fiance and I spent over an hour trying to decide where we will eat and we both committed to having something authentic, it took time to decide which restaurant considering all restaurants have great reviews. We pretty much just went with our gut. And like I said it was life changing. Gasparito felt homey and intimate we sat inside though there is an outside eatting area that was closed off. The front of this place is decieving which made this even more pleasently surprising it made my whole trip. Gasparito has truly blown me away, it exeeded my expectations. My fiance ordered Keshi Yena Chicken she says it may have been her favorite dish ever. I ordered the Stoba Di Bestia(goat meat and vegetable stew served with funchi and vegetables). I couldn't believe the amount of flavor that was in this dish. Other reviews say there wasn't enough rice but any more then what they give would disrupt their master piece. I can say confidently this dish is the best dish I've ever had. Look over the menu before heading over it'll make your decision easier. The menu hasn't changed since 1989 so if it's on the menu i trust it must be amazing.

The owner was so kind and often chatted with us! The chicken dish was outstanding! Indeed we were the only ones at the restaurant yet the owner seem so happy as they served us! Definitely 5 plus star and highly recommend everyone to eat at this one place!! You will not regret!

Best dinner we had in Aruba. We are not into Tourist traps and truly just want a good, solid meal. After countless searching, and a few disappointing/sub par experiences, we decided to try Gasparito. We were hoping for something authentic, and that is what we received. I got the Chicken Keshi Yena, and it was phenomenal. The best I've had, by far. My fiance had the goat curry which was quite possibly "the greatest meal hes ever had'. Also, the sides that come with the main course are perfectly proportioned in such a complementary way, that leaves you satisfied but not oversaturated with any particular flavor. After we ate here, we said to ourselves "We have really done Aruba the right way". Thank you for this highlight of our trip! Will recommend to friends.

Delicious meal. Enjoyed everything: appetizers, soup, main entrees as well as dessert. I would highly recommend the Aruban platter. The goat stew is too good. The meat was tender, lean and delicious. The fish was amazing. The host was really entertaining and hospitable.

The royal Aruban combo player was delicious! Goat, fish, and shrimp all in one platter. The food was great and we also very much enjoyed chatting with the owner. He seems to genuinely love meeting people and seeing people enjoy their food. Definitely would recommend!

Went here a month ago on vacation because of the raving reviews. Letdown is an understatement. It was odd that we were the only customers there but we went with it because the reviews were so good. I seriously regret not getting up and leaving, the food was terrible. This was seriously the worst dinner I’ve ever had. The bread you’re served is frozen garlic bread and our main course dishes were very dry and didn’t seem fresh. I believe it was microwaved, because our food was way too dry to have been freshly cooked. The free dessert was dry as well. If possible, I would give this review zero stars. Definitely, definitely avoid!!

The best place for local Aruban food. Very personalized service. Quiet, cozy, romantic and more. The Aruban combo was a fantastic mix of flavors and foods. My wife had the coconut shrimp in a creamy coconut sauce and found it exceptional. Reservations are a must as they on serve a limited number of plates each evening. Owner/server even tells a funny story with the bill. Another visit in October 2018 and still the best in Aruba. Personalized service and great local food. Don't miss this romantic evening. The best unknown spot in Aruba.

Incredible dining experience! The owner would come by and check on us and share entertaining stories about his life and the island between courses. Everything we ate was delightful.

I usually rate pretty high. The service was excellent. Very friendly waitress and the owner was very nice. We had the place to ourselves - which should have tipped us off. The food was very very salty. Pretty good flavor and taste, but there are too many other better choices here on Aruba for me. Won’t be back.

The best restaurant on the island! An absolute gem! The food and service are second to none. I have been coming to Aruba for 10 years and no restaurant comes close to this one!

Outstanding typical Aruban Restaurant! The food was excellent - authentic and well made. Really delicious shrimps, both fried and with coconut sauce. My boyfriend loved the goat stew. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the beautiful courtyard! Inside there are Aruban’s artworks on the walls. The owner Raimundo entertained us with riddles and nice chats about his story while we waited for the food. Unfortunately for us and luckily for him, he will retire soon - hopefully the chef and the positive vibe will remain!

This restaurant is quintessential Aruba! Truly local, authentic food, and service that makes you feel like family. The seafood was obviously great but Alicia’s Fish soup and the Stoba Di Bestia (goat) were the super stars! If you are lucky enough to grace Reimundo’s presence, I am immediately jealous!

Some amazing traditional local Aruban cuisine, located on an off-beaten path, in a quaint, cozy atmosphere. Raymond, the owner, was a great host - showed me pictures of his family that was behind the counter, told us his background (he was once knighted by the Queen of Holland) and some jokes. It made for an overall fun experience. Really enjoyed this authentic Aruban cuisine/family owned restaurant. Make sure you go here the next time you're in town - In my opinion, way better than stuffy Papiamento & only 5 minutes down the road.

Great place to get traditional Aruban food. Service was excellent and really enjoyed the seafood. Would totally recommend. We went with our son and he enjoyed it as well. So can be kid friendly.

Amazing dinner. It was quiet when we went so we got a very personalized experience, which we loved. Perfect authentic cuisine, beautiful artwork, and great stories from the owner of the restaurant himself. All in all a great experience and would highly recommend!!

We came here for dinner. It was a quiet evening ( which is better with our two children). The owner was very kind and the food was delicious. I got the chicken yena and my husband got a combo. It was so far the best meal we’ve had in Aruba. Our son had pasta and chicken fingers and for the first night also ate all of his food, including the salad !!

Our second time on the Island and our second time dining here. Small, cozy, family atmosphere. You are welcomed into the home to experience an authentic Aruban meal. You will not be disappointed. Food is well done and the service is great. Give them a try, they will not disappoint.

Gasparito’s is a must have restaurant on your list when visiting Aruba. The owner, Reinundo, made the experience something that you will never forget. The authentic Aruban food was amazing and we devoured every bit on our plate.

The food was amazing! Probably the best in Aruba if you’re looking for authentic local dishes :) The owner is really nice and funny. Also, there was an old couple next to us that told us that they’ve been coming here for 20+ years - that’s how you know how good the place is! I highly recommend it :) The place is cute too.

Best Restaurant we found on the island! Food is incredible and service is great. Seating is inside a small art gallery or outside on the patio. Definitely gave us the local experience we were hoping to find! Much better food than anything in the high rise hotel area

What an amazing dining experience. So happy our party of 15 wanted to try authentic Aruban cuisine. Raymundo is a true class act. He told us stories and kept us entertained with riddles...the kids even put their phones down to participate. His company made the experience 10 stars. The staff were friendly and polite and every thing we ate was perfection from appetizers to dessert. Give this place a try, you will be glad you did!

Wonderful place with excellent food and friendly service. 100% recommend. The owner was so entertaining and hospitable — he had riddles for guests to solve. The waitstaff was also warm. The food was tasty and well-plated. The pistachio cake was incredible. One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Gasparitos is amazingly good! The coconut shrimp, garlic bread, ribs with homemade sauce and fish in Creole sauce are to die for!! Their desserts are homemade too and great. Amazing staff!!! They are only opened on Wed & Sat right now from 6-8:30pm and you have to make a reservation. I’m looking forward to going a second time before I leave!!!

My wife and I ate at Gasparito on January 26, 2021.We had a great meal and a great experience. The owner made us feel very welcomed and he chatted with us often, but we never felt it was too much.He told us quite a bit about his life and how he enjoyed treating people to some true Aruban cuisine. We had Coconut Shrimp,Onion Soup and the Royal Aruban Dinner. All were fabulous !!

The stars are for the fantastic service from the waitress and she really made an effort to serve us. I am usually not a picky person. Having read all the good reviews so I’d like to give it a try with huge enthusiasm. However we felt that the food from early bird dinner wasn’t up to our expectations at all. We had the feeling it was cooked in a rush. The soup was good but the main course (gasparito chicken) was not well cooked and some part was a bit raw. And the fish and veggies didn’t taste fresh. We didn’t feel good the whole night after the dinner. Hopefully I’m not gonna feel sick. Maybe some improvement feedback to the owner. If you treated the food differently for people coming for early dinner deals, people won’t be convinced to come back again for a late and more expensive dinner.

Delicious Aruban fare in an intimate family setting. You’ll feel like you’re part of the family dining in this one of a kind combination of great food and personal service. A can’t miss on Aruba.

One of Aruba's hidden gems. From the well in the courtyard to the family-house feel of the interior, Gasparito presents a quiet, relaxed ambiance of a family gathering. And the food doesn't disappoint, either. The menu is not extensive but perfectly adequate - 3 to 4 dishes in each category - and everything is cooked from scratch (if you're looking to get your meal 10 minutes after ordering, this place is not for you). The owner will get your party into a perfect mood for a meal with endless riddles (solve three - get a free dessert) and stories of last-century Aruba. The food - all of it island cuisine specialties - is delicious and filling without leaving you feeling stuffed. The signature Aruban flan dessert is better without kahlua (the liquor takes away from the airiness of the dish). Highly recommended. Not cheap (but then again, what on Aruba is) but, again, totally worth it.

Gasparito’s is off the tourist strip. We walked the less than 1 mile to enjoy this lovely venue. The owner was very pleasant and took care of us. Dinner was excellent. This quite restaurant is a must!

Excellent attention. Very interesting place. The art work decorating the restaurant is from local artists. They have one of the few and rarely permitted wells on the island. Their onion soup is amazing and the house is a typical Cunucu house.

Fantastic food and great hospitality. All of the food that we tried was very good. Our favorite was the goat stew and the fish. Many Arubian dishes available and the hardest part was to figure out which ones to order since so many sounded really good. When we were there they were actually closed (open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday despite what is listed on google maps) however we had reached out before to see if they had availability and the owner actually opened up just for us and another couple. We will definelty be stopping here again before we leave the island.
