Hands down the most flavorful food I had my entire stay. The servings were hearty, and the prices were excellent. We split the ceviche and a pan-fried barracuda, and WOW, the tenderness and flavors were impeccable, and thank goodness we shared because we were full in the end. Service was excellent and very attentive and helped us call a taxi at the end. Please visit!

Best seafood and perhaps restaurant in Aruba in my humble opinion. The fish is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. You can really taste how fresh everything is and it always comes out and a beautifully displayed steaming hot plate. The soup appetizer was one of the largest soup appetizers I’ve ever seen. It was like a full pot. Pretty funny and delicious. They don’t take reservations anymore so you’ve got to plan accordingly and possibly be prepared to wait a little while since it’s not a huge place. There’s a little bar at the front so you can always grab a drink while you’re waiting. The staff are always friendly and can help advise on the different types of fish. They also have a nice table in the menu that explains the tenderness of each fish. I think we always get the specials because you really can’t beat that combination and variety. Very Highly recommend visiting.

Absolutely delicious barracuda and grouper. We got the chef's special with seared lobster ravioli and garlic shrimp which was good as well. The rice was so delicious, and all the appetizers like the pan fried conch and calamari, fish soup, and ceviche were good as well. The creme brulee was delicious and the cake was good as well. No complaints, definitely my favorite meal in Aruba by far!

Everyone was attentive, super friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! Food was excellent! Personally, I'm fairly picky but listening to the waitress describe this special dish of the day, I felt confident that I would like the entree, and I was not disappointed! Very good meal, my husband and I both ate off each others plates and it was delicious. Good portions too! Now I must let my food-baby settle!

10/10 RECOMMEND!! Best fish on the island! I had the blackened fish with shrimp. So amazing. The seafood soup was the best seafood soup I have ever had. I will be returning on my next trip!

They open at 6pm and we arrived at 5:20pm. There was already several couples before us. When opened we were able to sit anywhere. By 7:00pm the place was full on the inside and outside seating. Drinks were good, biscuits and appetizers were tasty... That main course was mmmm mmmm AMAZING! We were to full to order dessert.

I don’t know how they did it, but this was the best Alfredo I’ve ever tasted. Me and one son has it with Grouper on top. It’s not the plain white stuff most places serve. It was so flavorful. The portions are huge. It made two meals for us.

A local told me about this restaurant, and it is ALWAYS worth the wait. I wanted to come every day for dinner! After eating at 13 different restaurants this week I'm convinced this is the best seafood I've EVER had and the best restaurant in Aruba. Their Cream of the ocean seafood soup was AMAZING and for main I had their catch of the day grouper and shrimp, outstanding!

My seafood platter is so good that I even finished the rice on the bottom (I am off carbs for more than a year already.) the renovation of this place is modest at best. What amazes me is the food. I also tried a little bit of the red snapper of my son’s, it tasted even better than my barracuda. Highly recommend

We have been to Aruba five times now and never went to this restaurant. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and it is only about a mile and a half from there so we could have walked it, but we actually rented a car this time and saw more of the island that we had never seen. So we drove there. I had heard about this restaurant but thought that it was in a not so great area so how could it actually be good. Turns out it was the best meal all of us have ever had. We each got a different fish prepared in a different way. If I could give this more than five stars I would. The place is small so get there early. The staff is excellent

This is the best place for fish in palm beach area. I had to go two times because the Tuna was incredible and one dinner wasn’t enough. I had the soup and it was amazing as well! But I will remember that tuna forever. The staff is great! Just go there early because it can get extremely crowded!

I have lost count of how many times I have been to this restaurant. The staff, the service and the food the best. Added a picture of my regular go to lobster tail with Barracuda along with veggies and Beer. If you reading this review you should go there once to try the food.

Everyone we spoke to recommended this place, but we thought it was just ok. We got the special which was barracuda, lobster raviolis and shrimp for $36. The fish was delicious but the vegetables were frozen. For $36 a plate we were expecting non-frozen vegetables.

Recommended here by few locals as the best seafood on the island. We walked here from our hotel at Palm Beach area, arrived at 5pm on a Tuesday and there was already a line waiting at the door before they opened at 5:30pm. Once they opened, the tables were filled up in no time. Our waiter seemed in a hurry to get our order in without much recommendation on the food. We ordered a fish ceviche which was really good. Had a main course of pan fried barracuda, presentation was nice but the fish was a little blend.

I have been around the world and have eaten plenty of fish. This barracuda dinner was the best fish I have ever had. The fish itself, and the way it was prepared was out of this world! When you first walk in, it seems like a little too casual but the excellent experience within is fantastic.

After many years of visiting Aruba we tried this restaurant for the first time. We had Ceviche to start. The seafood was excellent with just a hint of heat and a wonderful fresh taste. They have a board with the daily catches of the day which can be prepared in four days ways. I had the grouper and my partner had the snapper. Both were generous portions accompanied with rice, plantains, corn polenta triangles and fresh vegetables. the fish was very fresh and delicious. Service was attentive. We will be back!

Ridiculously good food. I ordered takeout and had ceviche as an appetizer and the barracuda. So much food and it was amazing!

  • 5/5 Mike & Deb M. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic food here with fresh catch daily specials gorgeously prepared with very generous portions. Fish soup was amazing and barracuda and grouper were best we have ever tried anywhere. It is a small mom and pop kind of scene with limited seating, but the wait will be worth it!!!

The food was really good and fresh, but other than that, this place needs to reconsider staff. In my opinion, the service and ambiance are very important. Our experience wasn't that great. Went there with friends and the place was packed. We didn't mind waiting even though we were with kids. Tried to get some drinks while waiting and water for kids, bartender seemed like he couldn't care less, everywhere else on the island people were super friendly! For a local staple in the happy island, their staff needs better attitude! The air conditioner was blowing directly at 2 people our of party and was really cold. we asked if it could be lowered or turned to blow in another direction, waiter literally said, do u want another napkin?! He also seemed to have no patience to go over kids menu which was not on the paper menu. All in all, very tasty food, but we were uncomfortable and didn't quite enjoy it

  • 5/5 Mike B. 1 year ago on Google
Such a fun place. Expect to wait about 45 minutes if you don't have a reservation especially at prime time. But it was worth the wait. The barracuda was something to try and it was excellent.

  • 5/5 Angela G. 7 months ago on Google
Get there early! We arrived about 15mins after they opened on a Saturday, and there was already a 30-45min wait. I can see why! The food was absolutely delicious! All the seafood was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. Nothing overly seasoned that you couldn't taste the freshness of the food. My husband is a a not a seafood fan & ordered the chicken. He said it was juicy and well flavored. We both cleaned our plates!

  • 2/5 Grgrvs Y. 6 months ago on Google
Mediocre cooking. The staff is indifferent to your experience - they would disinfect a nearby table with some cheap spray and make it smell like a fresh Starbucks toilet around your table, which is super unappetizing and kills any vibe to eat. Imagine you are having your appetizer and it starts to smell like a familiar fresh bathroom smell at Starbucks toilet - that's how it will be for you if you have a table next to you get vacated and cleaned. If you can't imagine what I'm talking about then just simply spray Windex or Mr Clean or something at the other side of your table today at home during dinner - see how you would enjoy your dinner after that. The worst part is that the staff at Wacky would not understand it. It's such a touristy place with such high traffic that they would not give a flying fk about something displeasing to their customers. The food is truly mediocre. It does not worth the wait and the price they charge. Whoever post raving reviews about this culinary underachiever - I don't share your enthusiasm. This is a subpar dining establishment because of its ignorant staff and food-court food. Not recommended.

It's loud. But I can't imagine you'll mind once you've interacted with the staff and tasted the food. You don't need to look anywhere else, Wacky Wahoos is The Place To Go for fresh seafood and a quality dining experience. Plan to wait for at least one hour if you arrive between 645-730. Trust me, the wait is worth it. Served: Cream of the Ocean Cerviche Grilled Red Snapper (from the specials menu, not photographed) Grilled Red Snapper (They graciously substituted their for their Grouper special)

  • 5/5 Kurt M. 9 months ago on Google
Good seafood. Tigerships, calimari and red snapper were all excellant. The mains took a while to be brought out, but they were worth the wait. The firey spicy dragon shrimp were large with a spicy batter. The plaintains were delicious as well. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but worth the walk. The servers were attentive bringing out bread and water as required.

Got there at 5 and grabbed 2 Mango Balashi for us to enjoy while we waited for them to open. Heidi was our server and she was very sweet and funny. We ordered the Cream of the Sea chowder and she recommended we share a bowl instead of ordering two. It took longer than expected to arrive but was worth the wait. Sharing was the right call as it was a large bowl loaded with piping hot fresh seafood. Delicious! Then we ordered the fresh catch of the day blackened barracuda for me and blackened Ahi tuna for my wife which included rice, funchi, plantains and veggies. We loved our fish and if we had to pick one the tuna wins by a nose. The sides were nice but the veggies didn't look so good so left those alone. No room for dessert. Great place for fresh seafood.

Another restaurant we frequent when in Aruba. We love the fresh fish menu and the daily specials to choose from. We get there early before they open at 5:30… we sit on the front porch with other frequent visitors to the Wahoo !! A conversation is soon struck up and many join in with stories of their experiences in Aruba. The atmosphere is a little rustic with small signs and funny sayings placed on the walls along with island themed artwork. We don’t go for the atmosphere…we go for the island recipes and fresh caught fish!! Go Wacky Wahoo !! Till our next visit !!

Outstanding restaurant! They do not take reservations, so for those (like us) that don't always plan ahead, it is a great option! We had tasty cocktails while we waited for our table. We had the barracuda with lobster tail, shrimp scampi, and mixed seafood platter. All came with a flavored rice, fried plantain, polenta, fresh beans in a light sauce, and bread basket. The fresh fish was delicious! The server was very nice, and also attentive. It is a little on the pricey side, but the portions are generous and food is great! You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I were on vacation and came across this delicious gem! We have never had barracuda fish and we were absolutely blown away! We loved it so much and came back 2 more times! We had the barracuda in different styles like grilled and blackened and wow wow wow so good! We also had their ceviche and it was amazing! Can’t wait to return to this place! The service was also amazing, shout out to our server who 1st recommended the barracuda to us!

Wacky Wahoo is easily one of my favorite seafood restaurants!! The grilled fish and the crab cake are rich in flavor, achieving the best balance of different tastes. I was amazed by how various spices are blended together for the impeccable flavor profile. The chef’s specials are a must-try. I really wish I could come again before I leave Aruba but they are closed on Sunday. So sad! I am eager to explore more dishes here. I would definitely love to visit here again on my next trip to Aruba.

Lucky to get a table of 2 at the outside patio. We arrived rather late around 8-8:30pm and large groups were still waiting for a table. Inside seating is also available but summed a bit too crowded considering safe spacing of tables. Ceviche : MUST TRY!!!! We also had blackened wahoo fish with shrimp. Very very delicious. Don't wait, just go.

  • 4/5 Sharon F. 3 years ago on Google
The food is good but on the pricey side. It seems to be geared to tourists; we didn't see many locals there. My partner had the crab and corn chowder and he said he didn't taste any corn or milk in it. I had the Aruban fish soup, which was good but nothing special, and the pan fried grouper, but instead of using Aruban terms like funchi they called it "fried corn bread." Everything is priced in dollars. The meal starts with freshly baked bread. Don't miss it. My partner had the creme brulee and I had the cashew cake. A lot of their desserts seem to have alcohol in them. So if your goal is just good food and you don't mind that it's mostly tourists, it's fine. And they were very nice. We got to sit outside and it was beautiful and breezy.

By far the best seafood I’ve had ever. We asked the locals where we should go and all of them mentioned this place and now we know why. It’s a small place, no reservations and it gets busy fast but it’s worth the wait. We had the tuna filet and the grilled barracuda filet with Cajun shrimp and I don’t know which one was better cause both were fantastic and I’m not even really a seafood lover. Highly recommended and their staff is friendly and explain everything to you. Thanks guys for the wonderful experience!

  • 5/5 Nicole P. 3 years ago on Google
The food was great and it was the cheapest dinner we have had yet on the island. I had a shrimp pasta dish and my husband had the tuna blackened. Service was good. Only two downsides is that the ambience is not great ( a parking lot when eating outside) and no kids menu for picky little ones. My daughter had pasta which she liked though and there is a Wendy’s in walking distance.

The surf and turf was a good amount of food and tasty.I had to send my steak back to be cooked longer but it was delicious. I would return here and enjoyed my meal. My friend was told they had run out of rice, she was very disappointed. Other plates kept coming out of the kitchen with exceptional looking rice, but we were never able to try it. This was a popular spot and came recommend as on of the best. We learned of the restaurant at Eagle Beach and failed to make a reservation so we did have an hour wait. We left and returned and had to wait a few minutes longer for our table to be ready. The drinks: the lemon drop martinis were more of Lime drops. Even with these imperfections I would still return! 4/5 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
